Res Ipsa Hits 62,000,000

crowd vj day

I am a bit delayed but, a few days ago, Res Ipsa passed the 62,000,000 mark in views on the blog. We have used these moments to give thanks for our many regular readers around the world and share our traffic data to give you an idea of the current profile of readers around the world. We do not have a running data page so these periodic postings allow our community to see the traffic profile of our blog.

As always, I want to offer special thanks for Darren Smith, who has continued to help manage the blog and help out folks who encounter posting problems.  I also want to thank Kristin Oren who continues her amazing work proofing posts on a daily basis to remove my embarrassing typos.  Finally, I would like to thank our regular readers who alert me to typos or any violations of the civility or copyright policies on the blog.

We have continued to post the highest traffic numbers for each month this year. Indeed, this month is on track to be double the same month last year.

So here is our current profile:

As of this morning, we have over 20,797 posts and over 1,200,000 comments. We are at roughly 326,000 Twitter followers.  We have roughly 7,000 people who signed up for alerts by emails.

In the last month, our ten biggest international sources for readers came from:

  1. United States
    2. Canada
    3. United Kingdom
    4. Australia
    5. Germany
    6. “Unknown region”
    7. Austria
    8. France
    9. Netherlands
    10. Mexico

The top five posts in terms of readership in the last month were:

  1. Durham: The FBI Had Danchenko on Payroll as An Informant During the Russian Collusion Investigation
  2. DOJ Filing Before Eleventh Circuit Only Seeks to Stay of Part of Special Counsel Order
  3. “Stand the F**k Down or Get Shot”: Texas Woman Arrested for Threatening the Life of Judge Cannon over Mar-a-Lago Order
  4. Litigation by Leak: Government Officials Leak New Details on the Mar-a-Lago Raid While Continuing to Oppose Disclosures in Court
  5. Oberlin’s Revenge Mania: College Finally Runs Out of Appeals in Campaign Against Family-Owned Bakery

So that’s the update. I cannot thank our regulars enough for their support of the blog. This is an expanding vibrant community and it is a great pleasure to see our community expanding around the world. I particularly appreciate most of our readers remaining civil and respectful to others. While we have our trolls and blind partisans, most of those on this blog value passionate but civil discourse. It remains a great honor to serve as the host of such a growing and vibrant community.

  1. Congratulations! You are providing such a wonderful service. Reading the truth is so refreshing.

  2. Thank you Professor Turley for providing a blog centered on topics overlapping law and politics for such an expanded timeframe..

Unfortunately, it’s mostly bypassed that the group of conservative schoolars who sharing insights and analyses in blogs, write columns & are available for on air comments, are shrinkig in huge numbers. While I am aware of NGO’s like WWF or Wild Animal Helath Fund, it’s time to establish an entity that provides species protection for advocates of the American Dream that adheres to the principle of life, liberty and work. Free Speech is not for much help, if those who speak do this on a streamlined narrative!.

The ever increasingly attracton is also documented on the number of comments: On average, there are 60 comments/post while in recent months they are easily trippeled.

    1. If he charged each reader $1 a year for access to the information made available, he would earn $62,000,000! From my perspective, it would be worth every $1. I would be willing to pony up $1, and then some. What I’ve learned for these free lessons (both from Dr. Turley and those who comment) has been not only informative and very thought provoking, but worth every moment of my time. I have learn a great deal and get a lot of enjoyment from reading this blog. I am not an an attorney and still look forward each day to what is up for discussion,

  3. Thank you Professor. You always provide an important breath of fresh air amongst the odious scent wafting from the MSM and the woke education indoctrinators. Your continuing advocacy for equal justice is important and very much appreciated in a time when insanity seems to be the coin of the realm. We pray a blessing on your house. May your efforts prevail.

  4. Thank you very much for your thoughts and insight, Dr. Turley! It is a great help in keeping me “grounded”.

  5. And thank you, Prof. Turley, for being a voice of reason in this utter chaos. People sense quality. Your analyses are high quality and that’s why we care what you think.

  6. As an educator, let me say that I appreciate having access to your ongoing ‘classroom’ discussion of all manner of topics of interest. Who said we don’t have ‘free’ college? :-))

  7. I am sure even the harpies on this site appreciate your work and your astonishing store of knowledge while they outwardly criticize your every thought and malign you as a Fox News contributor. They can’t rise to your ankles. Congratulations on your successful efforts.

  8. I’m always grateful for your insight and often feel you are the only person that I can trust who will give a reasoned, intelligent and unbiased comment on important issues.
