Report: Hunter Biden Secured $40 Million in Deal with Russians

Among the many shady deals of Hunter Biden, one of the most intriguing was his arrangement with Yelena Baturina, wife of the former mayor of Moscow (who was previously tossed out for corruption). There is the reported $3.5 million fee Baturina paid Hunter’s real estate enterprise. However, according to the Daily Mail, Hunter also gathered $40 million in the deal for investments and his father may have known about it. It is another glaring disconnect with the new addiction defense being pushed by President Joe Biden.

While President Biden has recently moved from “he did nothing wrong” to “he was a drug addict,” Hunter appeared fully capable of securing millions from foreign sources, including some individuals reportedly connected to foreign intelligence. Moreover, powerful foreign figures seemed eager to give him millions despite his portrayal as a hopeless drug addict careening out of control.

The new evidence was reportedly gathered by an anti-corruption group, the Kazakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery. The evidence highlights the money transfers from Hunter’s real estate fund, Rosemont Realty. That money included $15 million from the firm’s own assets but it is unclear where it secured those funds.

Baturina is a Russian oligarch and was the richest woman in Russia in 2012. Her brother Kenes Rakishev is connected to a Kazakh businessman and partner of Hunter’s. It was Rakishev who was photographed with Hunter and then-Vice President Joe Biden at Cafe Milano in Washington, DC.  This is one of over a dozen such photos of Joe Biden with his son’s business associates despite his denial of knowing anything about such deals.

Hunter and the President’s brother, James, allegedly pulled in millions through influence peddling when he was Vice President and later a possible candidate for the presidency. Yet, Attorney General Merrick Garland has refused to appoint a special counsel.

Once again, these transactions undermine the new defense. Hunter did not appear to have any chemical-based challenge in maintaining a global, multimillion-dollar influence-peddling scheme. The image of a crackhead holed up in high-end hotels with call girls is undermined by thousands of emails on international money transfers and complex deals stretching from Moscow to Kyiv to Beijing.

Moreover, despite the continuing downplaying of the scandal, President Biden’s denial of any knowledge of Hunter’s deals is now thoroughly disproven. Yet, the media recently went on another ice cream run with the President to focus on his confectionary rather than his criminal concerns.

  1. Jonathan: Hunter Biden’s alleged “shady” business deals don’t even come close to those Donald Trump has been involved in over the years. Trump’s business scams are legend but you have never discussed those because your singular goal is to bring down the Bidens politically. So, as a public service, here are just a few examples of Trump’s corrupt business practices you ignore:

Trump University defrauded its students and was forced to settle for $25 million, Trump’s charitable Foundation in NY was shut down because Trump was caught using charitable donations for illegal purposes. Then there is the “shady” way Trump conducts fundraising. Trump tells his followers to donate to his “save America” PAC so he can fight the “stolen” election–when the money is going to pay Trump’s legal fees to defend the 20 lawsuits he faces. That’s raising money through false pretenses. And what about Trump charging the Secret Service as much as 5X the typical government rate to stay at his properties? That’s what the House Oversight Committee found in its investigation. Committee Chair Carolyn Maloney finds: “The exorbitant rates charged to the Secret Service and agents’ frequent stays at Trump-owned properties raise significant concerns about the former President’s self-dealing and may have resulted in a taxpayer funded windfall for former President Trump’s struggling businesses”.

And what about all the “shady” deals Trump family members have benefited from during Trump’s time in office. Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, used his WH position to make many lucrative business deals. Ivanka obtained fast-track approval of trademarks in China and Japan. Self-dealing was de jure in the Trump White House–but something you never discussed during the four years Trump was in office.

Then, of course, we have all of Trump’s “shady” deals in Russia–where you only complain about when discussing Hunter Biden. In 2008 Trump sold a run-down Palm Beach mansion to a Russian oligarch for $95 million–$50 million more than Trump paid for the property just 4 years before. Michael Cohen says Trump knew the real buyer was none other than V. Putin!

We should also mention the lawsuit brought against the Trump Organization by NY AG Letitia James because of Trump’s use of “shady” and fuzzy math to inflate the value of his properties when seeking bank loans–and then deflating their value for tax purposes. James’ lawsuit points out that Trump claimed his Trump Tower apartment was 30,000 sq.ft. in seeking loans when the actual square footage is only about 10,000 sq.ft. Finally, there are Trump’s many violations of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution that prohibits self-dealing. After becoming president , lobbyists for S. Arabia sought favors from Trump by booking 500 rooms at Trump’s Washington Hotel. Several foreign embassies held gala events at the Hotel. “Influence peddling” in spades and all the profits went to Trump.

The list of Trump’s vast financial corruption and “shady” deals are too numerous to cite all of it here. But accusing Hunter Biden of “influence peddling” is small change when compared to the vast corruption of Trump and his family. That is the part that conveniently eludes your scrutiny–because your goal and that of Fox is to bring down the Bidens. It’s all about politics–not objective facts.

      1. Svelaz: Thanks for your back. I am constantly amazed that when we point out actual FACTS the usual suspects pounce with bizarre rationalizations for everything Trump has ever done. “Iowan2” (always second in everything) says: “The college and charities were settled out of court. No judicial rulings”. What Iowan2 and others conveniently omit is that in 2018 a federal court approved a $25 million settlement when students were duped by Trump’s fraudulent promises he would give them the “secrets of success” in real estate. Of course there was no “judicial ruling”, no trial because Trump knew he would lose. When the 9th Circuit approved the settlement that, I suppose, could be called a “judicial ruling”. In the case of the Trump Foundation, in 2019 NY AG Letitia James (the same AG now suing Trump for tax fraud–and why Trump really hates her) ordered Trump to pay $2 million to a number of charities because he was illegally using charitable donations. In addition Trump was ordered to shut down the Foundation and was required to admit to 19 admissions that he misused Foundation money for political purposes. Trump agreed to the settlement, again, only because he knew he would lose the case at trial. There was no trial and, therefore, no “judicial ruling”. When Trump is caught red-handed with his hand in the cookie jar he settles out of court. But those settlements have all the force of a “judicial ruling”. Something “Iowan2” ignores.

All of this is lost on the MAGA supporters in this blog. FACTS don’t matter to them. So they resort to all sorts of non-sensical arguments–or worse–they stoop to name calling. “Anonymous” (not the one who makes sense)) responds to you: “Keep shouting your mouth off. You are an idiot and don’t even know when to shut up”. More inane comments by the MAGA crowd that has overdosed on the Trump cool aid!. When they can’t win the argument they tell you to shut up. I think you are wasting your time trying to actually reason with this crowd. That’s why I generally post my comments and ignore most of the drivel from the other side.

        1. Dennis, it would be nice if you knew what you were talking about, but unfortunately, you don’t here or elsewhere. Your knowledge base is very thin.

“a federal court approved a $25 million settlement when students were duped by Trump’s fraudulent promises”

Ask yourself why the initial lawyers backed off. The answer is there was no case.

Ask why another lawyer brought the case back. The answer is Trump was running for President and though the case was bogus, it was a distraction.

Ask why $25million was paid. The answer is, it bought the lawyers off quickly, so a non-case didn’t interfere. It was ambulance chasing money. Many doctors are sued because some attorneys hope for a settlement and a quick buck. That raises healthcare costs. That is what Democrats do in every portion of our economy. They raise costs. You are unaware of these things and won’t even tell us where I am wrong because, as a typical Democrat without knowledge, all you can do is shoot and run hoping that something will hit the target.

“That’s why I generally post my comments and ignore most of the drivel from the other side.”

No. You do not have the knowledge or ability to defend your points. Don’t pretend otherwise.

        2. Dennis – when have you made a factual argument ?

The rare occasions you include facts in your arguments at all – those arguments fail consistency with themselves or reality.

You claim regarding settlements is Stupid. And proof you have no understanding of courts or settlements.

Your characterization of the Trump U case is evidence of your own misunderstanding.

Courts rarely – and always improperly comment on settlements. They really have little role even in approving settlements – as two parties can contract (settle) any dispute on their own. I have personally “settled” a case where part of the settlement was completely removing the Judge from the remainder of the case – he was not even permitted to rubber stamp the settlement.

All any settlement means is the parties agreed to resolve their differences. Unless the settlement explicitly includes conclusions of fact and they rarely do, settlements have no legal meaning.

I have personally settled many cases that I would have won easily – because I was better off settling.
I have won cases that I should have settled.

In the Trump U case – Trump was removing a politically damaging case from the daily news.
He paid a premium for that. Personally therw was never any substance to the case.
Trump U offered students the secret sauce – the secret to the success of those like Trump.
In a few course instead of offering professors – which would have been actual fraud, in what world would the people who have never succeeded teaching those who sought to succeed be anything less than fraud ? Trump offered some courses with Motivational speakers – most of whom had done better in the real world than professors.

Because THAT is the secret sauce. Many things effect how greatly each of us succeed – most of those factors outside our control.
But the one universal factor that will differentiate between lessor and greater success is the extent to which we are driven to succeed.

Every book store on the planet has a section of get rich quick books. Aside from the “quick” part almost every single one of those books accurrately describes a means to get rich. Nearly all of them work. There is only one key factor not in the book – drive – hard work.

        3. The fixation on the Trump foundation case was always literally stupid.

The Trump foundation was a PRIVATE charity. Its funds came from the Trump family.
They were spent as the Trump family decided to spend them.

Even your claimed decision – so the Trump family gave money to the Trump family Trust and then dissolved it – essentially giving the money BACK to the Trump family. Big Win. And the Trump family agreed to to run a charitable foundation in New York for a couple of years.

You have to be an idiot to fail to grasp that NY LOST.

The Trump family can engage in charity anywhere in the world they want to – except New York. Seems to me New Your lost.

As with all the idiotic nonsense of AG’s and courts regarding Trump – they wasted time in matters that were none of their business.

There was ONE and only ONE government interst in the Trump Family Trust – and that was whether the Trust was being used to illegally avoid taxes. That was never alleged and certainly never found. In all other ways how the Trust operated is its own business.

BTW there has been far more damning revelations regarding the Clinton foundation – which is an actual public charity and therefore has an actual duty to donors outside of the Clintons. There is a legitimate basis for an AG to inquire there and yet there has been none.

There is no legitimate interest of the state in private trusts beyond taxes.

        4. You have gone through several examples – and not one held up under scrutiny.

In fact all your examples demonstrate more of YOUR and the LEFT’s illegitimate desire to run the lives of others.
To decide what others should and should not do.

From the moment Trump descended down the escalator, those of you on the left have wasted ungodly amounts of legal resources hounding him. And you have almost nothing to show for it so far.

Yet the Clinton Foundation received just shy of $150M from Russian Oligarches.
Hunter Biden received multimillion dollar diamonds from Russian Oligarchs.
          And on and on.

A recent review of ranking government employees found that thousands of them are engaged in stock trades in the companies they are personally regulating – there is a bipartisan effort to treat this as insider trading. Pelosi will not allow this to come to a vote.

        5. DM you are one of the fonts of drivel on this blog.

I would suggest seriously listening to the Donahue Milton Friedman interview I posted earlier.

Who has done more to make the world better – even for the worst off ?
Elon Mush or Mother Theresa ?

If your answer is Mother Theresa you are blind to the facts.

It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages. Nobody but a beggar chuses to depend chiefly upon the benevolence of his fellow-citizens. Even a beggar does not depend upon it entirely. The charity of well-disposed people, indeed, supplies him with the whole fund of his subsistence. But though this principle ultimately provides him with all the necessaries of life which he has occasion for, it neither does nor can provide him with them as he has occasion for them. The greater part of his occasional wants are supplied in the same manner as those of other people, by treaty, by barter, and by purchase. With the money which one man gives him he purchases food. The old cloaths which another bestows upon him he exchanges for other old cloaths which suit him better, or for lodging, or for food, or for money, with which he can buy either food, cloaths, or lodging, as he has occasion.
          Adam Smith

    1. “Trump University defrauded its students and was forced to settle for $25 million, “

Not true for the reason you think. It was a settlement due to politics not any wrong committed. That is why the prior lawyers dropped the case.

You seem to know very little.

“Trump’s charitable Foundation in NY was shut down because Trump was caught using charitable donations for illegal purposes.”

They weren’t illegal. Many 501C 3’s act in the same fashion. Politics is the driver in this claim and a few others.

      Again you know very little.

“That’s raising money through false pretenses.”

Money is very fungible. I suggest you keep yours very close to your body because it seems you lack the understanding to act differently.

“Trump charging the Secret Service as much as 5X the typical government rate to stay at his properties?”

This is a question that comes up with recent Presidents, but you only mention Trump. Who determines the price? You don’t know? Then you are talking nonsense. The politicians statement demonstrates either he also doesn’t know or he is playing politics.

You are copying leftist talking points, but you know none of the details. Trump and his family follow the law. Biden and his crime syndicate do not.

I think your time would be better spent sweeping the floor.

      1. “That’s raising money through false pretenses.”

Money is very fungible. I suggest you keep yours very close to your body because it seems you lack the understanding to act differently.”

HUH?!! What is this incoherent mess? That has nothing do so whatsoever with the fact that Trump is fraudulently using money meant for one purpose and using it for another. That’s called fraud.

““Trump charging the Secret Service as much as 5X the typical government rate to stay at his properties?”

This is a question that comes up with recent Presidents, but you only mention Trump.”

What? S. Meyer, What “recent presidents” have used their properties to charge the secret service besides Trump?
There is no “question that comes up”. Trump is the ONLY one who is doing that. He’s profiting from his position as president by charging the secret service 5x more. What other president has done this besides Trump?

        1. “HUH?!! What is this incoherent mess? “

This is what you say when you run out of lies. Instead of producing diarrhea from your mouth produce facts that exist.

“Trump is the ONLY one who is doing that. He’s profiting from his position as president by charging the secret service 5x more. What other president has done this besides Trump?”

Once again you have proven yourself to be an idiot. You know zero.

          1. S. Meyer,

“HUH?!! What is this incoherent mess? “

This is what you say when you run out of lies.”

No, that is what I say when you post incoherent babble.

YOU posted this, “This is a question that comes up with recent Presidents, but you only mention Trump.”

What recent presidents have charged the SS at their properties? I only mention Trump because he’s the ONLY one who has done that. You’re the idiot making these incoherent statements. Not I. Obviously you are avoiding the fact that you just realized you messed up and are trying to salvage mess of a statement that makes no sense because you are clearly not thinking,

            1. ” I only mention Trump because he’s the ONLY one who has done that.”

You know absolutely zero. This business of ex-Presidents has been splashed all over the newspapers for multiple Presidents. You can check out all of them, but check out the Clintons.

I am still waiting for your answers:

Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?

Keep shooting your mouth off. You are an idiot and don’t even know when to shut up.

              1. “You know absolutely zero. This business of ex-Presidents has been splashed all over the newspapers for multiple Presidents. You can check out all of them, but check out the Clintons.”

What business S Meyer? Which presidents have charged the SS while on their properties? You are saying presidents as in plural. Which ones? Check out the Clintons? How about you provide the links to your claim S. Meyer. Can’t check out stuff when you are the one who can’t provide the source of your claims. I think you are full of $hit.

Again what is this congressional hearing on Kushner you are talking about? Provide the link to the source of your claims. It’s more likely you are just making stuff up or you are being deliberately stupid. What is the source of YOUR claims about these congressional hearings S. Meyer?

                1. There is no reason to provide links to a dummy that won’t even admit the truth even if the links are provided.

Everyone knows about the Clinton estate and the secret service except you. That is because you are a dummy. But more to the point, where are your answers to:

Where is the Congressional hearing (for Hunter Biden) like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner

    2. Dennis you are way short of facts. You present a list of inane talking points lacking any factual foundation. The college and charities were settled out of court. No judicial rulings.
The billing of SS overnights, lack any information to fact check the claim. Name a hotel/resort and dates. e
Selling and buying real estate is a private deal between two parties. Both parties believe they got the better part of the deal. What law is broken and who is the injured party. In the Florida mansion deal,, has it since been sold and if so at what price. This is something very easy to fact check, all you need is an address and all the information is publicly available in less than 2 minutes. Whats holding you up?
Ivanka’s copy right had been in process for over 18 months and got granted. All started long before Trump was a candidate

The lie about changing valuations of property for tax purposes or loan purposes, just plays an the raw ignorance of the masses about business in general, and the real estate business in general. 1st, property owners have zero input into how property is valued on the property tax rolls. So Trump could not have done what you claim.
Valuing property for collateral, is the purpose of a loan officer. A value will be established, starting at the last time it traded hands.
Then other factors considered, a Market value established and then a percentage of that market value, say 40% will be used.
Federal banking auditors will audit those values when they do their annual audit. Because it affects the financial health of the lending institution

This is just a short synopsis of your raw ignorance, concerning what you post.

      1. “The college and charities were settled out of court.”

They were settled our of court because he knew he wasn’t going to win those cases. There was evidence he WAS scamming those students and the donors of his charity. He didn’t want that to be an issue during his running for president.

“The billing of SS overnights, lack any information to fact check the claim. Name a hotel/resort and dates. e
Selling and buying real estate is a private deal between two parties. Both parties believe they got the better part of the deal.”

The treasury department has provided the information. This is why the committed investigating the excessive charges has that information.
Both parties are NOT private parties. They are public government entities and both did NOT get a better part of it the deal. The SS was forced to use the president’s properties because he was staying at them. They had NO choice but to stay there and he knew that. That is why he charged the SS far more than the regular rate. They were what you would call “captive customers”. Trump took advantage of that to make extra money for his business.

        1. The Treasury Dept has no say in real estate transactions.

As for room rates, check the door the next time you are in a hotel. Law requires rates be posted. You will notice those rates are almost always 10X or 20 X the usual going rate. Find price for a room in Des Moines around state Fair time vs this week. Now also search the first two weeks in February,2024. I doubt today you can even find a room. but if you can, I imagine its in the $1000 per night range. Because all the politicos and media types have bid the price up.

You leftists are sooo ignorant of living in the real world.

          1. “The Treasury Dept has no say in real estate transactions.”

It does on government transactions and when the secret service pays for room and board the treasury department keep a record of it.

“As for room rates, check the door the next time you are in a hotel. Law requires rates be posted. You will notice those rates are almost always 10X or 20 X the usual going rate.”

No they are not. Not even close. Stop making stuff up. The rates are not 10x or 20x as much. Those rates are not even close to what you claim. Nice try.

Your false equivalency comparing market values according to demand vs secret services REQUIRED to stay where the president stays and charging them 5x more than they normally do is still excessive. They are captive customers vs those that can shop around.

  2. Unfortunately, the MSM has major amounts of power in this country. They are running cover for The Left and specifically in this instance, the Bidens. It will be an uphill battle for justice to prevail. Look at what the FBI is doing with pro-lifers in the last two weeks. Nary a word from the MSM. As a conservative Christian, I just have to hang my head…and pray for something better.

  3. Tulsi Gabbard describes in detail the corruption of Nancy Pelosi re insider trading and Members of Congress as a whole, including immediately prior to COVID lockdowns.

  4. Hunter will be pardoned for all his sins. He is not worried nor should he be.

  5. The title of the column is misleading. His investment firm secured the $40 million. Not Hunter Biden. Being dishonest with the facts is what keeps Turley from gaining credibility outside the MAGA nutties universe.

    1. Turley is wildly popular and gaining steam, while your Hitler President is sinking down, down, down.
Even Democrats are running away from him.

Of course Hitler did not gas Jews personally, he had his supporters do it. How many will you gas light today, hmmm?

      1. Anonymous, he’s as popular as Truth social. Only in the time MAGA nutty universe. Tribe has more followers than Turley.

        1. Turley is very popular with people who believe that Trump won the last election and believe a lot of other demonstrably untrue things. But then so is Alex Jones and Q.

      1. JeffHarman1,

He’s innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Isn’t that what republicans always say?

The title IS misleading because it suggests Hunter personally got the money and that is not true.

What exactly is illegal about receiving $40 million? What law does that violate?

        1. RE:”What exactly is illegal about receiving $40 million? What law does that violate?..” We are way past finding out!

    2. Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?

Svelaz is nothing but a hypocrite who shoots his mouth but has no knowledge whatsoever. He is not intelligent enough to realize the meaning of his own words, much less that of the words of others. All we hear from this half-wit is a bunch of statements conflicting with one another based on mistruths and fantasy.

There is no clarity in the Hunter Biden case because the President of the United States is part of the deal and has been for his entire career. The emails, videos, and testimony pointing directly at Joe Biden tell us that. With so much evidence, one should expect an investigation and a conviction. That will not be because there are likely far-reaching tentacles that affect the nation and others.

      1. S. Meyer says,

“There is no clarity in the Hunter Biden case because the President of the United States is part of the deal and has been for his entire career. The emails, videos, and testimony pointing directly at Joe Biden tell us that. With so much evidence, one should expect an investigation and a conviction.”

You still making incoherent rants? There is no clarity because there IS no evidence of a crime or illegal activity. Nothing that is being alleged on Joe Biden or Hunter Biden is illegal. You cited RICO, but couldn’t point to exactly what part of RICO was violated. You can’t even articulate exactly what crime is being committed. The videos, emails, and hearsay are not evidence of a crime. What exactly is the crime here? You can’t say it just as Turley can’t either because there isn’t one. Just the allegation that there MIGHT be one.

Kushner has been doing EXACTLY what Hunter Biden is being accused of and he’s not being investigated because it’s legal. It’s not a crime to make money off of your father’s name. If you think it is show me the law against it. Influence peddling is NOT illegal according to SCOTUS and Turley knows this. This is why he doesn’t say what crime is being committed. Just like everyone else can’t say what the crime is. It’s all mere accusation and allegations mean to smear the Biden’s under the shadow of a crime that does not exist.

        1. “You still making incoherent rants? There is no clarity because there IS no evidence of a crime or illegal activity. … Kushner has been doing EXACTLY what Hunter Biden is being accused of and he’s not being investigated because it’s legal. “

Kushner’s deal is legal. Hunters is not.

Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?

You can’t answer the questions because the answers demonstrate illegal action on the part of Joe and Hunter Biden. You are a liar, dumb and a hypocrite. That is why you never respond to questions and just continue with diarrhea of the mouth.

          1. “Kushner’s deal is legal. Hunters is not.”

They did the same thing LOL!

How are Hunter’s deals Illegal? What is the crime S. Meyer? Under what law exactly?

“Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?”

What congressional hearing are you talking about S. Meyer. Post a link to what you are talking about. Nobody knows what you are referring to.

“Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?”

Nobody can answer those question because nobody knows what the heck you are talking about. This is the incoherence that plagues your arguments S. Meyer. Go back and re-read what you posted and read it out loud to yourself and see if it makes sense to you.

            1. Stupid people don’t know the answers which have been publicized and even linked in replies.

Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?

You don’t know about the congressional hearings? Yet you comment. That demonstrates ignorance, stupidity and a penchant for lying. You need to be fed like a baby, because like a baby you don’t have that ability for yourself.

              1. “Stupid people don’t know the answers which have been publicized and even linked in replies.”

No, smart people would point out exactly what they are talking about. You have not provided any links to these congressional hearings you are talking about.

“You don’t know about the congressional hearings? Yet you comment.”

Nobody knows what you are talking about. Post a link or name the hearing you are referring to. If you know about it then you should have absolutely no problem posting the links to exactly what you are talking about. Don’t call people stupid when you can’t provide a reference to what YOU are talking about.

YOU are the one making the claims to the references. It’s YOUR job to provide the source. That is how this works. Why is it so hard for you to do the simplest of things? Are they true or did you make them up and can’t provide the links or sources of YOUR claim.

                1. There is no need to provide links. You make this type of claim all the time even after another posts the information, reposts the information and then reposts the information with links to the prior postings. You are a liar.

I’ve stated my claims most of which have already been documented on the blog.

No-one has to spoon feed a grown baby who is insultingly ignorant. You have a reputation for lying and not knowing what you are talking about. My reputation is e . The memories of others on the blog are intact as well. You are one of the few that is lost.

Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?

                  1. S. Meyer,

“There is no need to provide links. You make this type of claim all the time even after another posts the information, reposts the information and then reposts the information with links to the prior postings. You are a liar.”

So you can’t provide the source of your questions. Not surprised. That means you are lying. Making excuses by complaining about past issues that have nothing to do with this one is a sure sign that you are full of crap.

You can’t say what crime was committed. You can’t provide a link to what congressional hearing you are referring to. And you are now making excuses. YOU are the one with the reputation for lying. You’re doing it right now. S. Meyer you cannot prove what you claim and spout incoherent nonsense when you don’t know what you are talking about. You should stop lying S. Meyer. It really makes you look like a fool. All you had to do is provide the source of what congressional hearing you are referring to. That’s it. Since you can’t then you are proving you are indeed a liar.

                    1. I can’t help it that you are stupid and can’t even follow the blog.

Where is the Congressional hearing like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner?

  6. “Hunter and the President’s brother, James, allegedly pulled in millions through influence peddling when he was Vice President and later a possible candidate for the presidency. Yet, Attorney General Merrick Garland has refused to appoint a special counsel.”

He had no reason to appoint a special counsel. Making millions thru influence peddling is NOT illegal thanks to SCOTUS.

Furthermore, Turley seems to think that drug addicts can’t function well enough to make millions. Alcoholics can too. There are very successful businessmen who are alcoholics or drug addicts. Turley doesn’t understand that a drug addict CAN have serious episodes and do create gaps in their recognition of what they did in the past. It may just mean that they are good at creating business relationships that end up being beneficial. There’s nothing illegal about that. It’s notable that Turley couches his insinuations with a lot of “alleged” or “possible’s” clearly pushing the idea that somehow all these transactions are crimes or illegal without real proof that they are or what law they violate. He can’t pinpoint specifically what the crime is and he only focuses on wording his insinuations with the terms “raw” influence peddling or influence peddling schemes that he knows and has admitted before that they are not illegal.

All Turley is doing is trafficking in political intrigue and innuendo to keep his horde of gullible MAGA nutties satiated in their rage and distracted from the more serious and real scandal that are Trump’s legal problems and soon to be indictments.

it’s notable that Turley has NOT written a column pointing out weaknesses in the DOJ’s case against trump and the document scandal. That is telling and a sign that Turley doesn’t have a good defense of Trump’s actions. So he focuses on Hunter Biden as a convenient distraction by calling it a “scandal”.

  7. Holy mother of Jesus Turley how much more do you have to beat this dead horse to realize it’s already an unrecognizable mass of pulp and bones.

STILL nobody has pointed out exactly what is the crime here? Is it illegal to invest in his business ventures? So what if he got $3.5. Milllion? How is that illegal or corrupt?

What IS interesting is that Baturina the wife of former Moscow mayor who by the way was in discussions with Trump on building a mall and some hotels in Moscow back in the 90’s. The same corrupt mayor that you seem to allude Hunter Biden is corrupt because he is now dealing with his wife who was also corrupt. Real estate is Trump’s speciality and he was also courting the corrupt mayor to make real estate deals worth millions.

“The GOP report does not support the allegation that Hunter Biden personally accepted money from Baturina, however—only that Baturina wired $3.5 million to a Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC bank account for a ‘Consultancy Agreement’ in 2014. Mesires denied that Biden had any “interest in” or that he was a “co-founder” of Rosemont Seneca Thornton, “so the claim that he was paid $3.5 million is false.”

This is from an article that is over a year old. This is not new.

    https://www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/09/28/donald-trump-moscow-mayor-deals-422642

Trump was making real estate deals in Russia when he was running for President. He was doing exactly what Hunter biden did. Seeking investment money from Russians to finance his trump tower in Moscow. Nothing shady about that, right? Certainly not illegal or criminal. Corrupt? Why not. Republicans think it’s ok by their standards so Hunter should be ok too.

    1. Holy mother of Jezus Svelaz how much more evidence (you know, that what is lacking related to Trump) you need to see about the fact that Hunter has used his father, aka as ‘the Big Guy’, to gain profits oversees?!?!
When do you think you get over this TDS?
Trump has been under active investigations for about 6 years and they did not find a shred of evidence so far.
Bot noooo, lets not investigate Hunter, because there are no pictures, video’s, guns, hookers, coke, or any criminal behaviour of daddy (quid pro quo in Ukraine) of it there..

It seems you totally have no problem investigating someone without any proof, but fear to investigate someone where the proof is actually there on a laptop or – in the case of the ‘Big Guy’ actually out of his own mouth on the internet.
I dispise people like you who are so hypocrite but are not ashamed of it.

Mr. Turley atleast states facts and his observations even if it does not fit his own views.

      1. Anonymous says, “Holy mother of Jezus Svelaz how much more evidence (you know, that what is lacking related to Trump) you need to see about the fact that Hunter has used his father, aka as ‘the Big Guy’, to gain profits oversees?!?!”

Yeah, that is not illegal. It’s not even a crime. Fun fact; Trump’s kids did the same thing when he was in office. You know why nobody made an issue about it? Because it is not illegal GASP!! What a shocker.

“Trump has been under active investigations for about 6 years and they did not find a shred of evidence so far.”

LOL!! He’s under criminal investigation because there IS evidence that he broke the law. That evidence was found at his home. That was AFTER he said there was nothing more to send to the archives. The FBI search turned up more. So lying about it is a crime, especially when it involves classified material. That’s just one of the many investigations you mention.

Hunter IS being investigated. He’s been investigated since 2017. Didn’t you know? The DOJ is having a hard time trying it figure out what to charge him with since they don’t have enough credible evidence to charge him with anything more serious than a misdemeanor at least or just a fine. That’s all they’ve got for a four year investigation. Joe Biden is not under investigation for criminal behavior. What exactly is the crime?

“It seems you totally have no problem investigating someone without any proof, but fear to investigate someone where the proof is actually there on a laptop or – in the case of the ‘Big Guy’ actually out of his own mouth on the internet.”

What does the phrase “the big guy’ prove? What is the exact crime here? Nobody has been able to say it. Can you?

Trump is being investigated because there IS proof and that includes his own incriminating public statements. The DOJ now has access to his files and tax return information to support the current evidence against him. Remember Hunter Biden IS already under investigation. He’s been under investigation since 2017. The grand jury has recently expired without issuing a single charge. Shocking.

Turley misconstrues facts and uses it to posit a false narrative. It’s deliberate. They don’t fit reality. That is the problem.

        1. “Trump’s kids did the same thing when he was in office.”

No they don’t. You are intentionally lying. Show us how Hunter’s deals were the same as Kushner’s. Postings on the blog explained the difference.

Being dumb and lying at the same time is obvious to those with clean minds and a little bit of knowledge. You are now living with your reputation so many on the blog refute what you say and the only thing you are able to do is lie.

          1. S. Meyer,

“Trump’s kids did the same thing when he was in office.”

No they don’t. You are intentionally lying”

Oh yes they did. Here’s one example,

“His father, Charles Kushner, is a wealthy criminal (and Democratic Party donor) whom Chris Christie sent to jail back when Christie was the US attorney for New Jersey during George W. Bush’s administration. Also during this period, Kushner had the misfortune of being a case study in Daniel Golden’s book about corruption in the college admission process. Golden details the ways Kushner’s father wielded his influence, not only as a Harvard donor but as a donor to Ted Kennedy and other influential figures, to help his son gain admission to Harvard. Then, in a somewhat harsh section of the book, Golden details Kushner’s lack of conventional intellectual or academic qualifications:”

            https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/21527215/hunter-biden-jared-ivanka-eric-don-junior

The same goes for Ivanka, Note that nothing they did was illegal just as Hunter Biden’s own deals. This is why the whole Hunter Biden “scandal” is nothing but pure BS.

Let’s see if you have the intelligence to actually read thru the article and see for yourself and use that “intellect” of yours to figure it out. Or are you going to bloviate about “links” again? Your choice.

            1. What does Kushner’s father have to do with Kushner’s investments?
What do the donations of Kushner’s father have to do with Kushner’s investments?
What does Ivanka have to do with Kushner’s investments.

[Where is the Congressional hearing (for Hunter Biden) like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner

You didn’t understand a word from the article you read, nor could you connect it to the Kushner investments. You are trying to link to an article that demonstrates nothing except it demonstrates again how little knowledge you have and how stupid you are.

You make big statements because you are able to copy from others with slight word changes. That doesn’t make you smart. It makes you sound dumb when you have to discuss what you wrote.

You might be the dumbest of all on the blog.

              1. “What does Kushner’s father have to do with Kushner’s investments?
What do the donations of Kushner’s father have to do with Kushner’s investments?
What does Ivanka have to do with Kushner’s investments.”

Well look at that at least we know you CAN read. Now to answer the questions you posed. You should have realized that all of them have one thing in common. THEY WERE NOT ILLEGAL. Just like Hunter Biden’s. Which is exactly the point. Obviously you didn’t grasp that subtle distinction.

“You are trying to link to an article that demonstrates nothing except it demonstrates again how little knowledge you have and how stupid you are.”

AND just as I predicted you are whining about the link without really understanding what it said. I also means you didn’t read for comprehension.

What congressional hearing are you talking about? Post a link to the source of what you are talking about. It’s your job to post it since YOU are the one mentioning it. What is your source of this congressional hearing you keep mentioning?

                1. “THEY WERE NOT ILLEGAL. Just like Hunter Biden’s.”

Are you too stupid to remember the countless number of times others have differentiated private from public? Hunter might not be guilty of the crimes his father is guilty of because he is a private individual though a RICO action could be considered drawing him in.

When there is personal financial gain by a government employee using his powers, it becomes criminal.

Your link proved you knew nothing. It didn’t even come close to touching on,

Where is the Congressional hearing (for Hunter Biden) like there was for Kushner?
Where were the controls on the money like there were for Kushner?
Where was this filed as an investment firm like there was for Kushner?
Where are the investment experts like there were with Kushner

  8. The defense of hunter biden is not hunter’s defense. This is the last dying breeath of a swamp of such corruption that this thread winds itself throughout all government – even down to local levels – especially the boards of elections. I am reminded of the japanese soldiers, found decades after the end of WWII, who were so heavily invested in their fanatic cause that they would not surrender despite being told the war was over. We are not, at this point, dealing with rational minds, but with fanatics led by charlatans.

  9. >”The image of a crackhead holed up in high-end hotels with call girls is undermined by thousands of emails on international money transfers and complex deals stretching from Moscow to Kyiv to Beijing.”

Not necessarily. Hunter Biden could be the ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ for all we know, Prof Turley. I can imagine Hunter holed up in high-end hotels with call girls sending out thousands of emails on international money transfers and complex deals stretching from Moscow to Kyiv to Beijing.

Like Elon Musk’s recent peace proposals .. .this has all ‘the hallmarks of Russian disinformation’.

*do you know where the Laptop is, or not?

  10. If Hunter had business deals a few years back in Russian real estate and his father knew about it that would be …

    …. perfectly legal.

Geez, Turley, you are a law professor. You should know that. You certainly have not said “hey, Trump was planning to build Trump Tower Moscow a few years back and even offered Putin a free apartment and that was a huge scandal.”

    1. >”…. perfectly legal.”

It all depends. It’s still illegal to park your horse in front of the courthouse in Appalachia.

If VP Biden famously gave Ukraine’s president six (6) hours to fire its Chief Prosecutor (AG) who was investigating corruption at Burisma while well-paid Hunter Biden served on its BoD that might be illegal. .. and piss Putin off.

      *don’t worry about Trump .. . you can’t rob a thief.

    2. Not if he used his fathers influence as a VP.
Remember the ‘fire the investigator or no money to Ukraine’?
Or you just forget something like that because it fits your narrative?

      1. The firing of the corrupt prosecutor was congressionally sanctioned AND included the EU. This was not a “personal” vendetta like Trump’s.

          1. Anonymous (S. Meyer), you have not produced any cogent argument at all. Hurling ad hominem attacks are not an argument.

  11. I am shocked I tell you, shocked!

Where are our resident lefties crying “Trump, Trump”, or “Turley is a shill for Fox”?

Our lefties have conditioned us to expect “whataboutism” and CNN lies regurgitated.

I am almost (but only almost) disappointed.

  12. Now you are saying Hunter was helping Russia with his Dad?

Does not seem to have worked. His Dad is going pretty hard at Russia right now and winning. The Former Guy is taking Russia’s side, and Russia is taking the Former Guy’s side.

Really, anyone who is paying attention can see who the Russian puppet is.

  13. What information does PUTIN/RUSSIANS have on Biden? You know Putin has all the dealing and etc. the Biden’s have had with the Russians, Ukrainians and others. Then come next Congress, Republicans in control of the House and Possibly the Senate??? then the investogations, Treasury reports, banking reports and etc. Then watch the RATS and what theydo to try and survive and does the Media still cover Ice Cream or will they get the cue from the DEM’s to turn on JOE making the way for a new leader in the DEM’s.

  14. Corruption always has been a part of politics and I suspect always will be. Today, however, there seems to be a difference from times past. In my lifetime I do not recall a President whose personal and political corruption was as profound as Biden’s. Americans are forgiving people, at least we were until the great ideological divide came upon us. We forgave Roosevelt and Kennedy their unfaithfulness to their wives; we forgave Harry Truman for his impetuous temper; we forgave Lyndon Johnson for his bigotry and crudeness; and we forgave both George Bushes for their silk stocking view of the world. We even forgave Richard Nixon after he paid the ultimate Presidential price of giving up the office. The jury may still be out on Clinton and Obama but even they seemed to feel some allegiance to this country. I think our willingness to forgive was based on the good these otherwise flawed men did for us. Imagine a bigoted opportunist like Lyndon Johnson delivering a Civil Rights Act! In my wildest dreams I cannot imagine anything President Biden offers that can begin to offset what he already has done to sacrifice our values and our treasure for his own personal and political gain. And, to compound things we have a compliant press and Congress and “loyal” democrats who cannot see beyond the next election. I hope the midterms will help us reverse the terminal course we are on if it is not already too late.

    1. I doubt that Biden’s corruption is historically beyond the norms.
His incompetence is what is boundless.

The issue with his corruption is that with an honest press it would have prevented him from becoming president.

        1. RE:”And he is more incompetent than Biden…” Patience. We have yet to finish ‘Act II’ and there are two more “Acts” before the ‘Fat Lady’ sings.

        2. Please tell me ANY objective measure in which Trump is less competent than Biden ?

Trump was the first US president since Carter that did not get us involved in a new foreign war or military committment.
Trump had the strongest economy of the 21st century even with Covid.
Trump had significantly less than half the Covid Deaths of Biden – who promised everyone he would do better.
We had no supply chain disruptions,
          Very low inflation.
The first peace deal in the mid-east since Carter.
          China was contained.
Unlike every single president since Putin took office – Putin did NOT attack a neighbor while Trump was president.
Illegal immigration had slowed to a trickle.
          No supply chain disruptions.

And on and on and on.

Please name ANYTHING that Biden has done better ?

While Trump has a formidable list of accomplishments – more than Bush or Obama, in only 4 years during which he faced CONSTANT brutal attacks, a Special Counsel investigation that would have strangled any other presidency.

I am not actually a huge Trump fan. It is just that the remaining presidents of the 21st century were absymally bad.
And in 2 years Biden has already managed to be BY FAR the worst.

        3. Do you understand that inflation in the US has catastrophically bad consequences elsewhere.

The brief period of US food price inflation that followed the “Great Recession” – resulted in violence and uprisings accross the entire mideast

This is much worse and we can expect food insecurity driven conflict throughout the world soon.

From Day one Biden has done everything in his power to encourage Putin to Invade Ukraine.

NOw we have a conflict with a nuclear superpower, that can not win and can not politically afford to lose,
putting the world at risk of nuclear armegedon.

  15. It’s the Democrats projection defense. Whatever they do that is nefarious will end up being a charge against Trump or the Republicans. Obviously, again paraphrasing “have they no shame?”. Obviously not. I am not claiming that Republicans are as pure as the driven snow, but criminality and influence peddling by anyone deserve the light of day shined upon it and pursued. Drug addled sons with no skills do not get millions of dollars just because they are nice guys and this son does not appear to be a nice guy. Neither apparently is his father. We will probably get the same caveat from Svelaz that this is not illegal but I would strongly suspect that there are are some crimes of substance there, should anyone bother to actually look and investigate. You never know what is under the stone, unless you turn it over. If you see flames and smoke then there is probably a fire. I think we are well past the “where there is smoke …” phase.

  16. “I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary.”
Hunter Biden email to his daughter Naomi, January 2019

  17. It’s amazing that the people who screamed Russia, Russia for four years and investigated enough that if there was any connection, it would have been discovered, are now covering up for their guy and his dealings with…. Wait for it…. Russia (and not only with Russia)

    1. @He stirs up – You forgot to mention and they are still trying to crucify a President who was trying to do the right things for Americans.

    2. you mean the scandal hillary created? now we have scandal of an actual criminal activity (at the very least tax evasion, gun crimes, drug crimes, prostitution,…)

but hey, you make a very good point for a progressive

      1. “you mean the scandal hillary created? now we have scandal of an actual criminal activity”

What is criminal about this activity?

Investing in a company partly owned by Hunter Biden and his partners is illegal? How?

      2. Anny – I’m a progo?? You obviously don’t read my comments but again I never know if you’re the good Anny or ATS.

  18. ……and the Democrats called Jan 6th an ‘insurrection’. The citizens of the United States have the patience of Jobe. What we’re seeing in Iran presently is for a whole lot less than this abrogation of the public trust.
