“Fascists Go Home”: Students Shutdown Pro-Life Event at VCU

We have been discussing the rising intolerance on our campuses and the repeated cancelling of events by shouting down or obstructing speakers. The latest such example comes from Virginia Commonwealth University where pro-choice students obstructed a pro-life event.

Students for Life at VCU invited Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins to speak at their event. The event called “Lies Pro-Choicers Believe” resulted in pandemonium and reportedly arrests for assault and disorderly conduct. The video shows the usual elements of students on the left calling opposing speakers “fascists” and “deplatforming” by shouting them down by yelling “fascists go home,” “Nazis go home” and “f**k pro-lifers.”

The pro-life group posted videotapes and claimed that Antifa protesters were part of the violent protest.

testified in the Senate on Antifa and the growing anti-free speech movement in the United States. I specifically disagreed with the statement of House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler that Antifa (and its involvement in violent protests) is a “myth.”

It is at its base a movement at war with free speech, defining the right itself as a tool of oppression. It is laid out in Rutgers Professor Mark Bray’s “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook” in which he emphasizes the struggle of the movement against free speech: “At the heart of the anti-fascist outlook is a rejection of the classical liberal phrase that says, ‘I disapprove of what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it.’”

Bray quotes one Antifa member as summing up their approach to free speech as a “nonargument . . . you have the right to speak but you also have the right to be shut up.”

Michael Porter, a spokesperson for VCU, said the university was “disappointed” and added that  “VCU is committed to promoting a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors so that the right to gather and speak freely is protected.” The question, however, is whether the university will hold any of these students accountable. Many are shown on videotape disrupting the event.

Many on the left insist that silencing others is an act of free speech.

When Professor Josh Blackman was stopped from speaking about “the importance of free speech” at CUNY law school, CUNY Law Dean Mary Lu Bilek insisted that disrupting the speech on free speech was free speech. (Bilek later cancelled herself after using a controversial term in a meeting and resigned). At the University of California, Santa Barbara, professors actually rallied around a professor who physically assaulted pro-life advocates and tore down their display.

There is obviously a difference between protesting outside of an event (which is clearly protected) and disrupting an event by shouting down speakers. Most schools expressly bar such disruptions, but few hold students accountable when they prevent others from speaking. A recent example can be found at Stanford Law School where the Law Dean denounced the cancelling of a federal appellate judge, but then said that no students would be sanctioned for their actions.

Until there are real consequences from universities, the anti-free speech movement on our campuses will continue unabated.

  1. Jonathan: While you are focused on the “Fascists” at VCU you missed the really important news. Yesterday a Manhattan grand jury recommended a wealthy Florida man should be indicted for white collar crimes. Now ordinarily an indictment of a white collar criminal in NY would not get much attention. But this time the man being indicted is Donald Trump. Trump’s attorneys were surprised because they thought any indictment would not come for at least another 2 weeks. Trump was quick to respond, even misspelling a word, on Truth Social. In a hasty message he claimed “Thugs and Radical Left Monsters” had just “INDICATED” him.

Now some on this blog think I am giddy that Trump may be finally held accountable for his many crimes. That’s a misreading. The case in NY is a pissant prosecution–unless Alvin Bragg can turn a misdemeanor into a felony. And that’s a big “if”. No, the biggest threat to Trump is Fani Willis’ voter fraud case down in Fulton County, Georgia and Jack Smith’s investigation of obstruction over the Mar-a-Lago docs. The latter is probably months away from a decision to prosecute Trump.

On the downside of prosecuting in NY is that it is unifying the GOP behind Trump–claiming it is a “political prosecution”. And Trump will play the “victim” card–using it to scam his supporters out of more money. Trump has already raised $2 million in donations for his defense fund and is now asking his supporters to send in another $24 to “defend our movement from the never-ending witch hunts”.

Judging from the about a dozen Trump supporters surrounding Mar-a-Lago yesterday, waving their MAGA banners and flags, it doesn’t appear there is going to be a massive uprising to protect Trump. The MAGA crowd leaned their lesson from Jan. 6. Almost a thousand have been convicted and some are doing serious time. Another thousand are facing trials.

So what happens in NY will stay in NY. Bragg is the first out of the blocks but he will soon be followed by Willis and Jack Smith–and they will overtake Bragg for attention because the possible charges in those cases are much more serious. In any case, it’s going to be a “wild” time–to use Trump’s description of Jan. 6. For those on this blog who thought Trump would not be prosecuted or their world will end if Trump was think again. The justice system is actually working as intended–no one is above the law–not even a wealthy guy from Florida. Some of you out there owe me a beer!

    1. This manesfesto on the evils of Trump – it seems to have been accidentally placed in the wrong section. I’m sure you are 100% right – as always – about this Trump guy being in line with the anti-christ, but at some point you need to allow for a little discussion of other issues.

      1. Jocelyn Bey: My discussion of Trump’s indictment in NY was where it belongs. Front and center! Prof. Turley’s “Civility Rule” says “the blog is for civil dialogue on all manner of topics”. Perhaps, you never read it. I am just following Turley’s guidance. You may not like my digressions, like others on this blog, but that’s your problem. And, yes, I am “100% right–as always” when discussing the Trumpster. Although I would not put him in the category of the “antichrist”. He is, after all, just another human being. As such he is subject to the laws of the land. He doesn’t think so. He will soon find out. Now, if you rather discuss the “Fascists” at VCU I will gladly indulge you.

        1. Wait till you realize the Trump indictment is a yuge distraction for stupid people who have no idea what is going on in the Biden regime and around the world.

    2. “The case in NY is a pissant prosecution . . .”

So now it’s okay to opine on the merits of the case, even though the charges are not yet public?

  2. Protests, activism, kids coming into a broader sense of the world – this is nothing new at university. Calling people that disagree with you nazi fascists and seeking to literally destroy them for disagreeing – that’s a new wrinkle. Throe ignorance resulting from modern education and mobile technology into the mix, and you have a forest fire. If we do not take the world back from these woke children, we are ******. Lord of The Flies is not what we want for our progeny. Stop sending your kids to these schools. Just stop doing it. Right now, today. It isn’t helping them to succeed, and it isn’t helping us to persevere. Those with college aged children – you will have to live in the world they are creating, too, you aren’t THAT old. Try to ponder that for a minute. They will behave the same way in their professional lives as they do at their time at school.

  3. Trump improved the American legal landscape tremendously, particularly at the appellate level, by appointing over 230 federal judges and 3 Supreme Court justices who believe in following the law and the Constitution. Now is the time to respond to people and institutions that obstruct free speech by filing lawsuits as far as the eye can see.

    1. Had America followed the Constitution, Lincoln would have been struck down, impeached and convicted for unconstitutionally denying fully constitutional secession, unconstitutionally imposing martial law and dictatorship, and commencing an unconstitutional war – please cite the Constitution for any prohibition of secession which the American Founders availed themselves of. Lincoln threw the baby out with the bathwater – he threw out the Constitution with reprehensible slavery which must have been abolished through legal means.

Had America followed the law, the Naturalization Act of 1802 would have been enforced on January 1, 1863, and freed slaves, whose status had changed from that of “property” to “illegal alien,” would have immediately been compassionately repatriated.

The singular American failure is the Supreme Court which has failed miserably to fulfill its sworn duty to support the Constitution since 1860, the courageous act of Chief Justice Roger B. Taney to strike down Lincoln on his wholly unconstitutional suspension of habeas corpus notwithstanding. Lincoln was anti-freedom, anti-American, anti-constitutional, disgusting, corrupt, despotic and dictatorial tyrant, literally, the very personification of which. His 38.9% “victory” was no mandate to destroy the Constitution and America. He hunted down men to forcibly draft them into his corrupt army.

      1. “Lincoln would have been struck down, impeached and convicted”

George, lets assume Lincoln was removed and the VP took over. As time passed what do you think would have happened internally and externally?

        1. Anyone who pursued an anti-American, anti-Constitutional and pro-dictatorship course must have been struck down, impeached and convicted.

There is no prohibition against secession in the Constitution and secession is fully constitutional.

Secession is ubiquitous throughout history and around the globe.

Additionally, how difficult is it for you to grasp that the American Founders availed themselves of their natural and God-given right to secession?

No war could ever ensue from fully constitutional secession; no war of aggression is constitutional, only common defense.

Lincoln was a high criminal as all like him would have been.

Successors would have learned the lesson lest they be subjected to the same statutory and fundamental laws.

Lincoln threw the baby out with the bathwater; he threw the Constitution out with reprehensible slavery which must have been abrogated through legal means, immutably resulting in the compassionate repatriation of freed slaves under extant immigration law, the Naturalization Act of 1802, which was in full force and effect on January 1, 1863.

People must adapt to the outcomes of freedom. Freedom does not adapt to people. Dictatorship does.

Oops. It did, huh? With “Crazy Abe” Lincoln.

          1. George, I think your response was misplaced and didn’t answer the request for proof that Taney called Lincoln a criminal.

The insurrection failed, so we remain one country. My area’s request for secession from one city to join another failed. There was no insurrection, so the question ended without bloodshed.

            1. America’s history is wrong, illegal and unconstitutional. It started with Lincoln criminally denying fully constitutional secession and proceeding on to an unconstitutional war. The Supreme Court recently acted retroactively by 50 years to correct the unconstitutional decision of the corrupt Supreme Court of 1973 on abortion, which was correctly returned to the States. The Supreme Court must now act retroactively by 150 years to correct the course of America and bring American history back onto the Constitution. The Civil War cannot be fought again. The Naturalization Act of 1802 must be enforced, as a very cold but still good, still legal case. On January 1, 1863, the status of freed slaves changed from that of “property” to “illegal alien” requiring compassionate repatriation. It was Karl Marx who congratulated Lincoln as the “earnest of the epoch” leading America toward the “RECONSTRUCTION of a social world.” The RECONSTRUCTION Amendments must be fully abrogated, American history must be taken off of the Communist Manifesto and brought back onto the original Constitution and Bill of Rights. America is the false, unconstitutional product of multiple egregious crimes of high office. Lincoln had no mandate, per his 38.9% “victory,” to engage in “fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” taking it off of the Constitution, just as the immutably ineligible Obama had none.

              1. George, none of this proves Justice Taney called Lincoln a criminal.

It also doesn’t prove the Civil war wasn’t the resolution of an insurrection.

“Lincoln had no mandate, per his 38.9% “victory,” to engage “

The Constitution doesn’t make a distinction based on the popular vote. The electoral college is what counts. A low or a high popular vote provides a President with the same Constitutional powers.

      2. George, what was Lincoln’s legal (Constitutional) authority for “issuing” the January 1, 1863 Emancipation Proclamation ?

  4. In 8 years of university education — 5 in mechanical engineering and 3 in architectural design — the only extraciricular presentations I attended were combination talks and slide-show presentations by then-famous architects such as Charles Gwathmey — https://www.google.com/search?gs_ssp=eJzj4tTP1TewNMyKLzJg9OJIL08sychNrQQAQa4GnQ&q=gwathmey&rlz=1C1UEAD_enUS1048US1048&oq=gwathmey&aqs=chrome.3.0i355i512j46i340i512l3j46i199i340i465i512j46i340i512j0i512l3j46i175i199i512.15066j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Stern — https://www.google.com/search?q=robert+a.m.+stern&rlz=1C1UEAD_enUS1048US1048&oq=robert+a.m.&aqs=chrome.0.0i512j69i57j46i512j0i512l2j46i175i199i512j0i512l4.11082j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#wgvs=e&wptab=si:AMnBZoG6mlfuRTYUbTtj8JJBEA9qI9osXvcNy4fT4LU5D67VGKhX2_fvAHRoG3DkA8bq_gHcfFht9nzxCgX5VbBmGkbszgdIS4MYdbPvu84Lmu_OgYcE3nAqZrXtrAalQAAKWB8LmgA_iF0JvGRTVgKn0sEIsldCJA%3D%3D

My purpose in attending such extracircular presentations was to supplement what I was able to learn from classes in which I majored. It never once occurred to me to attend any sort of political event organized by a bunch of impressionable morons (aka students) with ZERO real-world experience. It might be different if the US was still at war and drafting college-aged people to go to war without their consent, as was the case when I first began attending university in 1971. But that’s not the case now, and I really don’t see the point of holding POLITICAL events ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES when permits can be obtained to hold meetings in some public square where the general public is available to attend and supplement the experience level and average IQ of the crowd.

Summary: College politics is BS, except MAYBE for political science majors (which some might say is itself a BS major.

    1. Allowing only non-political events on campus is impossible. First, almost everything, no matter how technical, is politically relevant. For example, let’s say a civil engineer wants to make a presentation in which she proposes that bridges on public highways be constructed to withstand earthquakes of a higher magnitude. A mechanical engineer may want to make a presentation on whether EVs are better for the environment than vehicles that run on fossil fuels. Maybe an architect wants to make a presentation proposing that all buildings be required to meet minimum energy efficiency standards. Or maybe a medical researcher wants to host a conference addressing the merits of a new vaccine. Second, who gets to decide which presentation are political and, thus, banned from campus?

      1. Private universities are private property and only the owner may “claim and exercise” dominion. Public universities are likely very much unconstitutional and unconstitutionally funded, and must adhere to the Constitution allowing assembly, free speech, etc. Universities must be run legally and in a way that maintains financial viability. Teachers and professors unions are criminal enterprises and must not be on any campuses. Owners and appointed officials alone have the power to hire, fire, matriculate, expel, direct and pay employees and/or students. The sole deployable tool of unions is the commission of crimes, including violence.

America’s fertility rate is in a “death spiral.” More Americans die than are born. College educated folks can do the math to find that America is dead in a century or so. “She,” you say? America will be a dead, extinct nation with one “she” civil engineer who failed to do her natural, God-assigned duty to make her nation’s citizens. And who says college folks can’t think? The American population is undergoing foreign replacement or haven’t you noticed?

In a free America with free enterprise and free markets, you communists (liberals, progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs, AINOs) don’t dictate product purchases, market demand establishes production rates and qualities. Courts exist to right wrongs, correct defects and provide appropriate compensation – problem is the corrupt courts. What are the pollution characteristics of the full EV production process, from lithium mines to complete battery replacement? Government cannot tax to fund EV infrastructure – Article 1, Section 8.
There is insufficient infrastructure to support EVs; ask Akio Toyoda.

        Unintended consequences, eh?

      2. You could say that everything has a political element, however the university’s School of Architecture and Environmental Design that I attended hosted the events at which the architects I mentioned offered their presentations, and the speakers took questions following their slide-show presentations.

I suppose someone could have gotten purely political in their questioning, or interrupted the proceedings such that presentations didn’t occur, but that didn’t happen, possibly because those in attendance were more concerned with architectual styles, problems, and critiques than they were interested in politics. Perhaps one would have to be, or have been, a student of architecture or engineering to understand how unlikely a disruption of the presentations would be.

I also think that the events weren’t attended by political activists because the subject matter was too dry for their tastes, IF they were even aware of the events at all. I suspect that events attended by political activists are organized by related scholastic departments — political science mostly, but also other interrelated areas of general studies which tend to attract political activists. At any rate, if there were political activists in attendance at the architectural presentations I mentioned, they didn’t advertise or demonstrate their presence.

At any rate, I didn’t say that political activities should be banned from campuses — just that they should be encouraged to happen off-campus whenever possbile. Merging campus politics with real-world politics has always seemed like a dumb idea to me — defective in concept — due to the disconnect between college students and people living and working in the REAL world that exists outside of the artificial campus cauldron.

I don’t feel like I’m explaining well what I mean to express, so for that I appologize.

        1. Political activism is often a refuge for those without inner resources or more wholesome areas of interest. In or out of colleges/universities.

          1. LOL — I used to joke (although maybe it wasn’t entirely a joke) that journalism school was for those who’ve already flunked out of every other major — including English. But perhaps that judgment should have been properly reserved for political science majors.

            1. I’d say any of the social sciences counts first, but, since the new crop of “journalists,” and, one assumes, majors in that subject, believe journalism’s chief function is or ought to be “social justice,” whatever that sloppy term means at the moment, they might just edge out actual social sciences as the least beneficial course of study to the nation.

  5. So the interesting thing in all of this…
It appears that Bragg included McDougal’s payoff by the National Inquirer.

More of a stretch considering that Trump wasn’t involved and the NDA was for an ‘exclusive story’ which the NI decided not to print. (aka capture & kill)
The burden is on Bragg to show that Trump was involved and that it was an ‘in kind’ campaign donation. (Which would have been a charge against the NI, but isn’t because its legal.)

In reality… this was Trump who had stepped out on his former ex wife and then the issue w Stormy is w his current wife… so there’s the reason Trump wanted to keep it quiet.

Bragg’s overreach is going to prove interesting.

  6. I have been reading lately about how European, particularly German, socialists and communists fled Europe after the failed 1848 uprisings for the United States, where they then attempted to continue their revolution using abolition as their vehicle. Forty-eighters were instrumental in the formation of the Republican Party, which was co-founded by rabid socialist and communist with a small c (possible a large one) Horace Greely, who published Karl Marx in his New York Tribune. Greely and his editor, Charles A Dana, who became under secretary of war under Lincoln, were close associates of Marx and Engels and had supported the 1848 revolutions, none of which succeeded. Those 1848s, many of whom were Union generals and part of the Lincoln and Grant administrations, started a revolution in America that continues to this day. They have taken over our educational institutions and are brainwashing young students, feeding them lies in an attempt to establish a Communist utopia. It’s working.

      1. Sino-Russian provocateurs, agitators and rabble-rousers.

        They are they enemy.

  7. Abortion is a satanic practice – that satanists argue is their legally protected right – and that rituals are often performed in the clinics.

Those clinics also double as tissue factories delivering high volumes of butchered baby parts to colleges and government agencies like the FDA. In one experiment, the HHS was caught using human fetal cells to try to humanize mice, meanwhile these same cells can be found in many food products and cosmetics and are often a primary incubator for growing and culturing vaccines.

Evidence and more horrific practices: https://tritorch.com/abortionslope

    1. “. . . a satanic practice – that satanists argue . . .”

Good lord, that garbage is pre-theology mindlessness — a primordial superstition from the Dark Ages.

  8. Until there are tangible consequences this will continue. This is not rocket science. They make the invited guests leave because they present the least resistance. It’s easier than the mob. The school administration’s are cowards. This hurts us all.

  9. Jordan Peterson and others have been able to avoid such riots by scheduling the speech for 8:00AM. Let that roll over you for awhile.

  10. Wow.
The parallels to 1930s Germany and Mao’s Cultural Revolution continue to grow.
How long till they escalate to real violence in the streets?

    1. Absolutely! And 1920s and 1930s Italy. These people don’t know that Fascism was invented by a narcissist who was chucked out of the Italian Socialist Party and that Fascism and Socialism are opposite sides of the same coin.

    2. UpstateFarmer: I am not a great historian, but I remember that World War I was sparked by the actions of ONE anarchist.
On a different note: as a Christian I have thrown in the towel on political solutions to America’s woes. Trump or DeSantis ain’t gonna solve this mess. Faith in God, and changing hearts one at a time is the only possibility.

      1. And the heart to change is your own…becoming more open and curious, more willing to listen carefully to opposing points of view. That is the key to becoming more persuasive. It’s all explained in Dale Carnegie’s
“How to Win Friends….” from 100 years ago.

        1. A GUN TO AMERICA’S HEAD

History stopped in 1802. Didn’t know that.

          – pbinca
          _______

Legal history stopped in 1860 with the advent of “Crazy Abe’s” wholly unconstitutional “Reign of Terror.” The Supreme Court must have found NO prohibition of secession in the Constitution and struck “Crazy Abe” down in 1861 by Judicial Review, clearly established in Marbury v. Madison (1803). Please cite the Constitution wherein secession is prohibited. Secession is ubiquitous globally and throughout history; the Founders availed themselves of secession in 1776. Confederate states would have failed and reunited for the benefit of themselves within a decade or two having been ostracized, advocated against, boycotted and divested of. Unconstitutional American history persisted only by the imposition of the illegal and unconstitutional brute force of unconstitutional military dictatorship which must have been immediately struck down by the Supreme Court. History continued after 1860 with a gun to America’s head. Union soldiers were drafted by force, eh? Lincoln’s communist successors wrote the history. If you follow the law, you can’t get to Lincoln’s “history” – you retain the history of the American Founders and their original intent. The Naturalization Act of 1802 was not altered legally but by unconstitutional military force. Lincoln threw the baby out with the bathwater; he threw the Constitution out with reprehensible slavery which must have been ended through legal means – the compassionate repatriation of illegal aliens was and remains the legal remedy. Alas, not to worry. American history is just about over. You’ll be dancing to the Chinese communist tune real soon – thank Obama et al. Xièxiè, comrade!!!

          1. You omit the tiny but significant fact that the “confederated secession” encompassed Americans who were not seceding and to whom the Constitution promised security as well as “a republican form of government.”

            1. In a republic, the vote is restricted.

Remind me of the constitutional promise of security.

Isn’t that the nature of representative government in a restricted-vote republic? Only male, Europeans,21, with 50 lbs. Sterling/50 acres were allowed to vote for obvious reasons in 1788. Voters had to be men of their own will and not under the dominion of others. Qualified people vote and elected officials execute, right? Wasn’t Confederate secession approved by qualified voters? I believe the American Founders took votes and agreed when they seceded from Great Britain, no?

        2. The Left have no capacity nor self-awareness to convert, grow nor see the splinter in their eyes. They are too focused on using clubs and logs to violently confront their perceived enemies. Fascists are like that and in this case, VCU is the corporate mouthpiece of the brownshirts. There is no mention whatsoever of this event on the VCU homepage. Happily Governor Glenn Youngkin and VA AG Jason Miyares are all over it given that they are Pro-Lifers

Why is it that everyone points only Nazi Germany.
      Does everyone forget Italy?

      1. Mao Zefong’s China and Stalin’s Russia were far far worse than Nazi Germany. To wit, whenever the Left mention the Nazis, they do so because they want others to forget Mao and Stalin. Don’t let them. Then they will show their true colors: red on red

      2. Ian,
I use the comparison to 1930s Germany as that is the reference I heard many times on NPR, back when I used to listen to NPR. This would of been around 2016.
Now those same people are suddenly silent when it comes to things like this.

    4. Where are America’s Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.

Would they not be the most patriotic among us.

      It takes an army.

Biden, working for “Suzy Q” Rice who takes her “long march” orders from Obama, has been making an army of foreign enemies to support himself and the communists (liberals, progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs, AINOs) in America.

The very reason Obama was ineligible was that he had an activist, radical foreign father who was a foreign citizen with foreign allegiances and Obama held those same and other foreign allegiances.

      Duh, we didn’t know, right?

  11. I see very little difference between the crew at Nuremberg stating that they were just following orders and the horde of mis-educated, indocrtinated and intimidated youths who follow the “suggestion” of prog/left ideologues who pounded this vitriol into their little noggins since kindergarten. We may feel disgust at such unthinking BS issuing from these woefully ignorant snots but we should feel great anger at those who made them this way. And until we eliminate those who produce these duped tools we will not save this nation from destruction.

    1. Nero was responsible for many things, but, apparently not setting Rome ablaze – although he didn’t waste the opportunity to build a palace that was the epitome of hubris. His greater fault was blaming and then killing the Christians.

      1. I know. It wasn’t meant literally as a historical aside. Neither did he fiddle, apparently, while Rome burned.

Unfortunately, in this case, mightn’t the image of the world being set ablaze by tyrannical attitudes and hubris fit?

    2. Ladies, the Romans were mere fishmongers. They set the city ablaze because they ran out of firewood for fish stew. That’s savages for you.

  12. I’m old enough to remember when the left, who was not in cultural power at the time, fought tooth and nail for free speech. The French comedic absurdity of the fascists calling those that don’t kowtow to the approved think fascists is absurd. The dangerous part is, these groups do much more than peacefully protest, they routinely use violence against individuals and groups (as can be seen in videos of this attack) and this violence is state sanctioned because very few of them face consequences for their violent actions = they are the paramilitary arm (every marxists movement has one) of the state. This assault on American sensibilities and life and limb will continue until Americans en masse put an end to it. The government has proven it no longer cares about its primary role, which is to protect all its citizens and their God given rights.

  13. The irony of using fascist tactics as they scream ‘fascists go home’ and do their best to cancel them seems to be lost on these people. It’d be laughable, but I live through the 1960s and watched the leftists progress from yelling at people to bombings.

  14. “Until there are real consequences from universities, the anti-free speech movement on our campuses will continue unabated.” That says it all. The people in charge agree with the ant-free speech sentiment, hence they do nothing. Plus, even if they wanted to do something, they fear the radicals will destroy the buildings and whatever else they wish to.

  15. time to END all federal aid and loans to colleges
all colleges should also be TAXED

      1. ATS, it appears you are ignorant of the law involving tax-free gifts. Gifts to an organization with a 501C3 status are tax-free.

We know you will try to cloud the issue with some outlier because you are wrong as usual. That is what liars and deceptive people do.

    1. Federal funds should be withheld from any institution where violations of the Constitution are committed. It shouldn’t be limited to universities.

    2. Congress may not tax for or fund anything but debt, defense and general welfare.

General means all or the whole, not a few or some. The only things that provide for ALL to WELL PROCEED are items such as roads, water, post office, sewer, electricity, internet, rubbish collection, police, fire, etc. Social Security and Medicare absolutely do not serve all or the whole but people over 65.

America lost its constitutional freedom in 1860 and went full communist in 1913.
