Hunter Biden Faces Call for Key Business Associates in the Arkansas Proceedings

There is a new and interesting development in Arkansas where attorneys for Lunden Alexis Roberts have prepared a list of witnesses for the upcoming proceedings involving Hunter Biden’s daughter, Navy. As previously discussed, Hunter Biden is seeking to reduce child support payments and has balked at Navy being able to use the Biden name. If successful, this could get a lot worse for Hunter in his alleged efforts to conceal his past income. On the list are business partners at the center of the influence peddling scandal. (Thank you to the reader who sent this possibly prophetic intersection picture).

On the list are business partners who are connected to millions of dollars acquired from foreign interests in China, Ukraine and other countries. Also on the list is New York City art gallery owner Georges Bergès who continues to sell his art.  Bergès has reportedly pushed back on congressional efforts to reveal details on these proceeds and buyers even though former government ethicists have raised concerns over the sales.

The costs of these proceedings and high-priced legal team would seem to undermine claims of financial distress by Biden. However, by putting his financial worth at issue, Hunter has opened up a new front in battling over the disclosure of his past dealings. Some of his past associates are reportedly cooperating with House investigators in tracking foreign payments.

Even the Washington Post has belatedly published an editorial admitting that this is all a serious concern over influence peddling. In an editorial titled  “Millions flowed to Biden family members. Don’t pretend it doesn’t matter.”

It was a bittersweet moment for many of us who have been writing about these dealings for years as newspapers like the Post downplayed the scandal or the authenticity of the laptop. Media outlets like National Public Radio (NPR)  declared that it “not want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions.” These disclosures have been forced into the public despite the best efforts of the Post and other media.  Indeed, recently the Post’s Philip Bump derided the House investigation as a “fishing expedition . . .  it’s nearly all innuendo, a big corkboard with lots of pictures but little interconnecting string.” His “witchhunt” attack was then repeated by others at the Post.

Despite these efforts, Hunter Biden appears to be doing his level best to force the issue in Arkansas. It is not clear if the court will call any of these witnesses. However, since Hunter has put his finances at issue, some disclosures will need to be made.

As for Navy, she is still uncertain if the court will allow her to use the Biden name despite her father’s efforts to the contrary. While it does not appear that Hunter (who lives in a California mansion and reportedly took a private jet to the last hearing) is financially broke, his actions (and those of the President and First Lady) toward this little girl show a moral deficit and delinquency that is abundantly obvious.

  1. Professor Turley: “These disclosures have been forced into the public despite the best efforts of the Post and other media. Indeed, recently the Post’s Philip Bump derided the House investigation as a ‘fishing expedition.’”

The left has turned the Pulitzer, the Oscar, and even the Nobel into mere tokens of propaganda. I think we need an award to recognize what’s actually being achieved.

I propose the Walter Duranty Award. Walter Duranty was journalist and toady of Stalinism at the New York Times. His commentary and reportage are monuments to the Big Lie. The Duranty Award recognizes shameless propaganda for what it actually is.

In the category of lifetime achievement, I award this year’s Duranty to Philip Bump for his ceaseless efforts to make unnamed sources the judge, jury, and executioner of trial by media. Congratulations, Mr. Bump!!

If anybody wants to get drunk, storm the stage, and slap Mr. Bump, the line is waiting.

  2. I’m curious if Hunter’s attorney’s will try and assert some sort of national security claim or privilege as part of their refusal to provide the financial documents. Thank you, Jonathan, for an excellent article.

  3. Hunter Biden actually flew in a PRIVATE JET to his Arkansas child support hearing claiming he was too poor to make his monthly payment. The cost of the flight was the equivalent of at least 6 months of child support payments not to mention he cost of the Secret Service detail.

And no, Joe Biden still hasn’t acknowledged the existence of his 4-year-old granddaughter, Navy Joan.

Charming family, those Bidens. They are scum. I do not know why Navy would want the Biden name. I think when she grows up she will either curse the Biden name or she will have her name changed.

        1. Perhaps it’s a fractional sharing deal. Those are very popular as they are cheaper than an outright charter.

  4. Dear Hunter Biden: I would like to express my heartfelt thank you for your making it possible for all Americans to see the proof of the deposits made to your bank accounts by the Chinese and the Romanians. I find it hilarious to think that Joe is probably saying that his wayward son has stepped in it again and didn’t clean his shoes off before he came in the house. Joe says, when I told him I wanted ten percent I didn’t mean ten percent of what he got on his shoe. The Washington Post is now saying what Hunter has on his shoe is the real deal and the stench should not be taken lightly. LMAO.

  5. One must wonder why The Washington Post is all of a sudden admitting that the Hunter and Joe Influence peddling scheme may be the real deal. The Post has surely looked at all the fake LLCs and the bank records that are going to be used as evidence in the child support trial in Arkansas. Just in case you haven’t seen the bank records I present the following in order to enhance your reading pleasure. https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Bank-Memorandum-5.10.23.pdf. The greed of the criminal sooner or later is always his undoing.

    1. When greed becomes indistinguishable from stupidity:
When you leave office after having safely, for decades, stolen your way to riches, yet decide to serve again and invite ruinous scrutiny.
When the dumbest member of the clan, outed for but not proved guilty of serious crimes, balks at paying his debts and puts the mountain of concealed evidence against the entire clan within reach of the justice system.
Had these scoundrels simply cashed out amidst the dust cloud of the Trump administration they could be happily counting their take, forgotten by the world, and Hunter’s battle with the innocent little girl could’ve been put off until the evidence against him had atrophied along with the statutory reach of the law.

    2. TiT, that’s evidence of what? Creating LLC’s is not a crime. Making money from foreign business deals is not a crime either. Hunter Biden is still a private individual. So what is this supposed crime you can’t provide evidence of?

Some have said it’s proof of bribery, but that still doesn’t say for what? Some say Joe Biden sold American secrets, but if they “know” despite having no proof how do they…know? Obviously it’s just BS being pulled out of their a$$es.

        1. “Probably” is not evidence that it’s true. Until there is evidence that it is indeed a duck it’s not a duck. That’s the problem.

        2. Except that it DOESN’T walk, or quack like a duck. All made up BS. Mark Levin is one of the worst.

  6. It seems that the Washington Post is just a Bump in the road to uncovering the real track to the Biden family finances.

The family’s entire private life appears to be a phony business set up to peddle influence of the (current) President of the United States, with the overall interests of the nation taking a back seat to the family’s activities.

I just wonder how much certain departments of our federal government helped cover their tracks over the years, so that none of t this was ever really questioned until now.

  7. “These disclosures have been forced into the public despite the best efforts of the Post and other media.”

They’ve been forced alright. Forced by Turley. He’s the one who has been flogging this “scandal” incessantly and complaining about the media’s lack of attention on the matter. They are correct and it’s frustrating Turley because they see it for what it is, a “fishing expedition . . . it’s nearly all innuendo, a big corkboard with lots of pictures but little interconnecting string.” His “witchhunt” attack was then repeated by others at the Post.”

Turley amusingly says “It was a bittersweet moment for many of us who have been writing about these dealings for years as newspapers like the Post downplayed the scandal or the authenticity of the laptop.”

There is no “us”. Just Turley peddling false narratives and insinuations about this “scandal”. He’s been the one enabling this fishing expedition over the insinuation that the Biden’s use of their name to benefit financially is somehow a crime. Never mind that the Trump’s also engage in using their family name to engage in influence peddling which is legal. Republicans and even Turley have no problem with that except they believe the Bidens are somehow exempt. The rank stench of their hypocrisy is noticeable in their protestations.

They are using a family court to get what congress can’t get, the evidence that they want to use to keep insinuating crimes that they claim have been committed without proof. It’s a fishing expedition to feed the ongoing witch-hunt of the Bidens. It’s vengeance over Trump’s “unfair” treatment and Turley is deliberately enabling it because he too is party to that vengeful need.

    1. Svelaz, so now the Washington Post has been forced to admit the money laundering schemes of the Bidens and you say the Post has somehow been influenced to do so due to pressure from Professor Turley. In the past you have told us that Professor Turley has little influence and now you tell us that the Professor is the catalyst for the Post story. In the past you have defended The Post concerning the RussiaGate story and now when the Post admits that the Biden influence peddling may be the real thing you blame the Post position on Professor Turley. Svelaz hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest. Never mind intellectual integrity.

      1. TiT, lying as usual. Money laundering? What evidence do you have that it’s money laundering? You only “know”?

“In the past you have told us that Professor Turley has little influence and now you tell us that the Professor is the catalyst for the Post story.”

I have said no such thing. That’s why your reputation as a liar keeps improving.

Turley loves to insinuate that influence peddling is a crime without saying it is. His problem is he can’t make the claim directly because he knows he will be called out on it by his smarter peers.

The Trumps have been doing for years what he accuses the Bidens of doing. Obviously he has no issues with influence peddling or profiting from using the family name. Turley has no intellectual integrity. He’s already fallen into the tabloid intrigue type of writing.

        1. You got it completely backwards as usual. The BIDENS have been doing for years, what the left has been crying that TRUMP will do. Sheesh…you are dense.

    2. “They are using a family court . . .”

      Uh, Biden filed the suit.

File this under: Be careful what you wish for.

      1. Sam, that doesn’t change the fact that those seeking to smear Hunter Biden and involve Joe Biden are stopping so low as to use a family dispute to get information for the purpose of obtaining what they couldn’t by other means. It’s still a fishing expedition and Turley is gladly enabling it.

      1. Thanks to the Durham Report, which the Left detest, Americans are learning that Mueller was as much of a party to the corruption at DOJ as FBI agents, all accomplices of Hillary. The Durham Report is bullet proof evidence that we have a corrupt Federal govt but especially the DOJ

        Durham Exposes Robert Mueller’s Failure

        WSJ Editorial Board

Mr. Mueller hunted for evidence that Mr. Trump was a Russian mole but couldn’t find it. Now the Durham report makes clear that the Mueller team failed to investigate how the collusion probe began as a dirty trick by the Clinton campaign and how the FBI went along for the ride. The report includes evidence that those engaged in the FBI’s initial Crossfire Hurricane probe and Democratic attorneys used their positions on the Mueller investigating team to cover up the FBI mess. Among Mr. Mueller’s initial hires were FBI agent Peter Strzok, FBI analyst Brian Auten and FBI lawyer Lisa Page —all at the epicenter of the Crossfire fiasco. Of Mr. Mueller’s 18 attorneys, several worked in the Obama Justice Department during the Crossfire probe, including Andrew Weissmann —a highly partisan Democrat who attended Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election night party.

    3. Just Turley peddling false narratives and insinuations about this “scandal”

As is your MO, you make a declartive statement but never any specifics.

Yes we know. You have posted what your handlers tell you to post, and wait for your payment. A digital whore, if you will.

      1. Iowan2,

My, my a bit bitter aren’t we?

All the specifics are in Turley’s writing. Everyone of his critics point this out and they are not wrong. What is funny is that idiots like you can’t argue otherwise and resort to insults and ad hominem attacks. How do we know YOU are not being paid to be here? You seem more of the type who needs the money.

        1. Everyone of his critics point this out and they are not wrong.

like you and your boyfriend, Joe Patrice? You’re funny. Stupid but funny

        2. All the specifics are in Turley’s writing. Everyone of his critics point this out and they are not wrong. What is funny is that idiots like you can’t argue otherwise and resort to insults and ad hominem attacks. How do we know YOU are not being paid to be here? You seem more of the type who needs the money.

I’ll admitt there are lots of things I don’t know, but I’m humble enough to ask for help.
So I’ll crowd source this. Can this crowd please help me find a fact somewhere in this word salad

    1. He’s not claiming poverty. Just a reduction of payments. They do seem excessive. $20,000 a month? For one child? If the original amount was voluntary he CAN ask for a reduction. Has the mother been putting any of that into a savings account or trust fund for education or anything? Is $20,000 being spent every month on the child?

I’m sure anyone would be skeptical that $20,000 is appropriate amount for child support.

      1. Normally, it is a simple solution if the person involved is honest. They provide their IRS forms and all sources of income. If they spend more money than the records would show is possible, they go to court and are forced to divulge other sources. Generally, it’s under-the-table types of income that are difficult to prove (or valuations), but with Hunter, the story is different. He demonstrates huge amounts of under-the-table money, perhaps illegally obtained.

” They do seem excessive. $20,000 a month?”

Based on what we see, that amount is small. Many with his type of assets and power send their children to private schools where the tuition costs are up to $90,000. If he can fly on private jets, one can look for more than $20,000/ month.

        1. S. Meyer, $20,000.00 from $83,000.00 leaves $63,000.00. Then he has to give the Big Guy his cut. Oh well, he’s still doing ok.

  8. I feel my posts have become so homed in on the actual issue I fear I may be repeating myself, the trivialities of yet ANOTHER instance of malfeasance matter less: these are easily the most corrupt and ethically bereft people to have ever served in our government. And I mean top to bottom, with the likes of the Clintons, Obamas, Bidens, Pelosi, Schumer, and Schiff currently taking the title. Whereas, like toddlers, I don’t think the likes of AOC are smart enough to be so willfully malevolent. 😂

      1. THAT’S all you have, when you are still voting for the scum that have been in office over 30 years??? Trump never had a chance to grift and steal as much as any of those other criminials. Propaganda works on idiots like you.

        1. “Trump never had a chance to grift and steal as much as any of those other criminials”

LOL! He’s been grifting non-stop while in office. His own children joined in on the fun. A good grifter fools his targets into thinking they are not grifting. You are a prime target and it shows. Grifters love gullible chumps like you.

          1. Can we hear the specifics?

We do with the Biden family, but you have no such thing for the Trumps.

        2. I’m Joe Biden and I’m running for president so I can clean up this mess in Washington. I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.

  9. The” best interest of the child” will reign supreme in family court. And the jails rosters always contain deadbeat parents. Don’t mess around with that country judge. Family court judges can and do send people straight to jail all the time. NO trial, no pardon. pay up and stay in compliance to get out.
It has been proven that the Biden name does generates revenue. NAVY doesn’t get to have a say so the judge will decide for her. She probably wouldn’t want either name. REALLY NAVY, She will never forgive them

  10. Look for the DNC cognoscenti to shut this down in a few days. They care little about the Bidens at this point and likely even despise them for what they’ve done to embarrass the party with their corrupt dealings that even the Washington Post acknowledged in an editorial titled: “Millions flowed to Biden family members. Don’t pretend it doesn’t matter.” It gets shut down by the Biden lawyers being told by the DNC lawyers to settle this mess out of court on terms acceptable to the plaintiff and the court. That means that Hunter’s child payments may be increased, not decreased. Who would have thought that an innocent little child named “Navy” would be the instrument leading the nation out of one of its darkest periods in history.

  11. Ahh, Children, the gift that just keeps on giving.
Estovir goes for the throat and Scores.
Iowan #2 brings up a very salient point. Marching into a a little court in the south with your legion of lawyers will not usually win you any points. Just because they talk slow and and have a cute accent does not mean they are stupid. Sounds like the mother or her attorney are showing some real skill. They are maybe thinking of the old thought that when your opponent is in a hole and digging, just hand him a shovel and stay out of the way.

    1. Indeed. Another old saying that encourages the use of local attorneys is: “A good lawyer knows the law but a great lawyer knows the judge!” This case has some “My Cousin Vinny” aspects to it that may force settlement in the plaintiff’s very soon.

    2. GEB, I believe it is not the interaction of lawyers, more to the side of Judges. Lots of procedural rulings are in the hand of judges. East Coast Judges in general and NYC and DC specifically are populated by politicized leftist that fasion the law to advance the Party at all costs. But outside those corridors of incestuous power, even Democrat appointed judges apply the law as written without political consideration.

Just go back and look at Senator Kennedy interview judge nominees, that cannot identify the purpose of Article I of the Constitution. Clueless about the structure of our nations governance.

      1. I agree with your point. I had an aunt who rose from justice of the peace to superior court judge in a South Georgia county from very, very humble beginnings but never forgot where she was from. Repeatedly won elections over all opponents white or black because she could relate to all the communities. Another high school classmate (also a women) who became a judge. Highly intelligent but down to earth and a wonderful person. Also a patient who was a superior court judge in Indiana. As common as the day is long but wonderful comedian, who faked a limp while leaving my office after an injection by my assistant. The entire county was saddened when he retired. Down to earth, everyone of them with very sharp minds.

  12. Hunter would be wise to stick with a country lawyer who practices family law in Arkansas. A battery of $500 plus per hour of lawyers will get you killed in family court anywhere. please…pro per would have helped his case. There are people in jail for failure to pay sent by his Judge. They don’t mess around in family court anywhere and don’t think they can bs this judge.

  13. To catechize the obvious . . . are these smart, high priced attorneys who represent Hunter supposed to get him IN or OUT of trouble?

  14. Look for the FBI to raid the house of the Circuit Judge, paint her as a threat to Democracy, and the DOJ opening an investigation in 24 hours on a rumor that the Judge wears fashionable couture dresses made by Dior, which the DOJ claim is an outfit of Russian spies meddling in US elections. Hillary will fund the investigation because she is envious the Circuit Judge looks fabulous in Dior. This is because Hillary always looks frumpy in her wash n wear pantsuits, even in the blue stained dresses Bill Clinton acquired from visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s teenage sex trafficking island

    #NoFaithDOJ

  15. It appears that at least in Arkansas, the Biden fixers are not being as effective as in the other States involved in the Biden Crime Family business!!

    1. MRR
Yes, this case is drawing a distinct difference in Justice in and around leftists power centers like NYC and DC. Those corrupt criminal cabals go all out to protect those that know where the bodies are buried.
