Seasonal Christmas Fights Start Early

Each year, the faithful celebrate Christmas with a slew of lawsuits seeking to put religious symbols in public places. This season started a bit early with a ballot measure in Michigan. In Berkley, Mich., voteres turned down an amendment to the city charter on Tuesday that would have allowed a nativity scene to return to the lawn outside their City Hall.
