The Ultimate Joe-Six-Pack Vote: Obama Endorsed by Homer Simpson

This week, Obama secured the most sought after endorsement of the election. The ultimate “Joe-Six-Pack” often discussed by Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed and voted for Sen. Obama in the video below.

Homer’s vote is a significant change and should worry the McCain camps. Homer previously took the view: “When will people learn? Democracy doesn’t work!” His participation in the election indicates a serious shift in the electorate.

Palin has portrayed herself as a Homer-friendly candidate. She recently insisted: It’s time that a normal Joe Six-Pack American is finally represented in the position of vice presidency, and I think that that’s kind of taken some people off guard, and they’re out of sorts, and they’re ticked off about it.”

The loss of Homer Simpson is a big blow. Of course, she can take is past lesson from Homer to heart: “you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.”

I am still in Cleveland, which is taking a bit of offense at the line “This can’t happen in America. Ohio maybe but not America.” An anchor this morning insisted that it should have referenced Florida.
