The Pitter Patter of Little Litigator Feet: Florida Courthouse Overrun With Mice

There appears to be no professional courtesy between counsel and rodents at the Palm Beach County Courthouse. The court is overrun with mice that are falling from the ceilings and running across the floor during trials.

Mice have been appearing in briefcases and purses, forcing many to check before leaving the courthouse to avoid surprises in their cars or homes.

Of course, it is not only the law that attracts such little livestock. I recently took my oldest son Benjamin to the NBC studios only to have two mice run around him. When he reported two separate sightings, there was some uncertainty until the next night, a woman almost sat on one of the mice in the green room.

The Palm Beach mice interrupted a burglary trial and have caused staffers to run shrieking from offices.

Exterminators have been called with little hope for habeas corpus relief for the little litigators.
