Former CIA Station Chief in Algeria Accused of Rape of Two Women

The former CIA station chief in Algeria is under investigation by the State and Justice departments for the drugging and raping of two women in his home. Reports indicate that videotapes were recovered showing the officer having sex with what appeared to be drugged women.

The officer was station chief last fall when the rapes allegedly occurred. Both women are Algerian citizens who came forward with their stories to American officials.

A search reportedly also found date rape drugs in the home as well as a dozen tapes.

This will likely trigger a demand from Algeria for the man to be turned over for prosecution, an unlikely prospect. Putting aside the diplomatic issues, it is pretty clear that the U.S. government does want a guy with a head full of classified information locked in a cellblock of a foreign country.
