Palin the Neck: Alaska Governor Says that She Has Spent $500,000 on Frivolous Lawsuits

225px-palin1Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has come out with criticism of the citizens who have filed ethics complaints against her. She says that all of these ethics charges are frivolous and politically motivated — and cost $500,000 to defend against.


Eighteen complaints have been filed against Palin. She has asked “Are Alaskans outraged, or at least tired of this yet — another frivolous ethics charge by a political blogger?”

While some of the complaints may indeed by politically motivated and frivolous, some are obviously more substantive. All but one have come from Alaskans and, even though the Alaska Personnel Board rejected one complaint, it still resulted in Palin having to pay the state $10,000 for trips taken by her children.
