I Get A Kick Out of You: Couple Executes Contract Limiting Marital Martial Art Beatings

For husbands who feel put upon by their spouses, consider yourself lucky. A 33-year-old man named Zhang executed a formal contract under which his wife, a kung fu expert, is allowed to beat him no more than once a week.

Zhang reported that he was actually beaten by the woman before they married, but the abuse continued after they were wed. She explained that “I don’t want to beat him, but arguments are inevitable and I can’t help myself.”

He explained that his wife often gets out of control during arguments, which end up with “bruises and scars all over”. It appears that the law of contract has been the missing element in their relationship. She observed “now that we have a contract, I will force myself to drop the use of force.”
