I’ll Be Back: Schwarzenegger Casts Second Ballot After Trying to Vote for Two Candidates for Senate

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was facing a difficult choice in one of the most hotly contested GOP primaries for the U.S. Senate in years. He appears to have been struggling with his top two favorite candidates in the race between former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, former congressman Tom Campbell, and state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore. Schwarzenegger apparently opted to vote for both until he ran into . . . no not Sarah Connor . . . poll worker Keta Hodgson.

In what is usually a simple photo op, Schwarzenegger was stopped by Hodgson who informed him that a scanning machine rejected his ballot because he selected two candidates for the same office. He was given the choice of filling out a new ballot or not having his Senate choice count. He wisely decided to vote again.

The scene unfolded much like Schwarzenegger’s conversation with the officer below but he likely stated “I am a friend of Carly Fionina” . . .
