Sianez faces 63-count criminal complaint that details allegations of how he opened unlicensed private investigation businesses and did little or no work. When customers complained, he allegedly threatened to bring the heat down on them with former colleagues in the police department or, in one case, bring the heat himself by burning down a person’s home. After his arrest, police reportedly found that he had posted ads on Craigslist seeking women who would be willing to have sex with his dog.
Sianez served in the Santa Ana and Stanton Police Departments from 1979 to 1986. He was convicted of stalking in 1998
The 63 counts including 20 counts of grand theft by false pretense, 12 counts of fraudulently using an access card, 2 counts of 2nd degree commercial burglary, 5 counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, 4 counts of theft, 4 counts of obtaining electricity services through false representation, identity theft, perjury by declaration, computer access and fraud, and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person. There are also misdemeanor charges, including 3 counts of conspiracy to commit sexual assault upon an animal, 2 counts of dissuading a witness from reporting a crime, 3 counts of obtaining electricity services through false representation, criminal threats, unlawful representation as a private investigator, engaging in the business of private investigation, and doing business without a valid license. That could bring 38 years in jail.
