It was the Wall Street Journal that originally raised the story.
In a Fox News segment, former Clinton aide Zac Pentkana referenced the tragic story but was interrupted by Lewandowski saying “waa, waa.”
It was a heartless as it was stupid. However, rather than simply apologize, Lewandowski dug in further. He flatly rejected the need to apologize and said that the “American people” owed an apology to people who were “killed by illegal aliens.”
He later tweeted that reports he mocked the girl’s plight was “fake news.” (He also said the policies causing children to be separated from their parents was started under Obama, a lie.)
