Lewandowski Declares The Use Of His Recorded Words To Be “Fake News”

images-2Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has been dropped by his speaker’s bureau and widely denounced for his mocking of a story of a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome who was separated from her mother.  Now, after refusing to apologize, Lewandowski is denouncing the entire story (of playing his own words) to be “fake news.”

It was the Wall Street Journal that originally raised the story.

In a Fox News segment, former Clinton aide Zac Pentkana referenced the tragic story but was interrupted by Lewandowski saying “waa, waa.”

It was a heartless as it was stupid.  However, rather than simply apologize, Lewandowski dug in further. He flatly rejected the need to apologize and said that the “American people” owed an apology to people who were “killed by illegal aliens.”

He later tweeted that reports he mocked the girl’s plight was “fake news.” (He also said the policies causing children to be separated from their parents was started under Obama, a lie.)

@CLewandowski_

Lots of Fake News today. I mocked a liberal who attempted to politicize children as opposed to discussing the real issue which is fixing a broken immigration system. It’s offenseive that the MSM doesn’t want to talk about the fact these policies were started under Obama.

It was a Trumpian response but it is hard to denounce the playing of your own interview as fake news.
