Police say that the two planned to kill 88 people—14 by beheading — because the numbers are symbolic for Neo-Nazis (H is the eighth letter and a double H stands for Heil Hitler while 14 refers to a 14 word phrase from a white supremist leader). They planned to attack a black school and then go after Obama “shooting at him from the windows.” 
Police reported “both individuals stated they would dress in all-white tuxedos and wear top hats during the assassination attempt.”
Frankly, these two creeps do not appear to be a serious threat, though police seized a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun and three pistols from the men when they were arrested. Cowart still lived with his grandparents and both fit the profile of a social loser angry at the world.
The greatest concern is for the black children. Neither of these guys appears to have a room temperature IQ and were unlikely to be able get close to Obama. They could, however, get close to children.
They do reaffirm the fear of many over keeping Obama safe. Whatever the outcome of this election, it is a wonderful theme that an African-American can not only secure the nomination of a major party but lead in the polls. However, there remains this layer of violent, hateful racists in our society who view this great social moment in strictly apocalyptic terms.
Of course, looking at these pictures, one has to raise some pretty probing questions about the master race. It appears that the master race is living in trailers with their grandparents and playing dungeons and dragons while listening to Guns and Roses. That really does seem superior to the African-American guy who graduated from Columbia and Harvard, served on the law review, became a leading law professor, and made it to the United States Senate. I think I have it now.
