Rosato was arrested last Friday and charged with one count each of receipt and distribution of child pornography. According to an FBI affidavit, an unnamed person “distributed more than 600 files containing graphic images and movies of child pornography to an undercover detective that [Rosato] believed was a 13-year-old boy.” He allegedly had over 15 online chats over a three-week period in January.
This follows the arrest and firing of a James Michael McHaney, an aide to Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.). McHaney, 28, was sentenced to three years in prison on a federal charge of possession of child pornography.
Then there is Brian Doyle55, from the Department of Homeland Security who was arrested for seven counts of use of a computer to seduce a child and 16 counts of transmission of harmful material to a minor.
For the full story, click here. He was sentenced to five years. Of course, members like Mark Foley have had their own problems with contacts with minors, though he recently surfaced to give his first interview claiming that the boys were really close to being men.
