The occupational therapist alleges that the racial profiling began after the New York Police Department implemented a search program in response to bombings in London in 2005.
Sultan says that, after the 13th search, Sultan started filing complaints with the Civilian Complaint Review Board to document the insistences. He also wrote to the Mayor’s Office, to Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and to senators, representatives and City Council.
