Guitar Hero? Former Cook County GOP Chairman Beaten By Wife With Electric Guitar After Allegedly Finding Him With Two Prostitutes In Children’s Nursery

150px-guitarnerFormer Cook County Republican Chairman Gary Skoien, 55, is in the midst of a bizarre criminal case. He accused his wife, Eni Skoien, 36, with battery for allegedly beating him with her fists and an electric guitar. Police report that Skoien admitted that his wife found him in his children’s playroom with two prostitutes early Sunday morning.

Skoien’s wife is only 5-foot-4-inch and 110-pound but appears to have made fast work of Skoien. Eni Skoien spent two nights in jail before posting a bond.

Skoien is now trying to get the police to remove the report of finding him with two prostitutes. He says that the report was inaccurate and that they were really just one friend. He insists that he just called a friend over to chat before his wife began to beat him with “a hard heavy electric guitar” and I thought I was going to be killed.”

Skoien has been controversial as Chair of the GOP, including an offer of a $10,000 “bounty” four years ago for dirt on Mayor Daley that could be used to prove a corruption charge.

Skoien had previously gone to police after he said that his wife hit him a few days earlier while he was brushing his teeth.

Skoien insists that it was his wife that said there were two prostitutes, but the officer insists that he agreed that there were two prostitutes in the room at the time. The police have refused to drop the reference to the two prostitutes.

Skoien now has secured a court order to keep his wife away from their three children, ages 5, 7 and 8. The prostitution allegation could prove the best angle for Eni — claiming that while she might have been filled with rage over the sight of hookers (and possibly toothbrushing), he is a bad influence. Courts generally frown upon prostitutes as au pairs.
