“Torture Sheik” Detained in Abu Dhabi

Sheik Issa bin Zayed al Nahyan, the brother of the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Prince Mohammed, has been detained on allegation of torture involving as many as 25 victims. While the government clearly knew of these crimes, the incriminating videos of the torture sessions were smuggled out of the country recently and caused an international outcry. This is why our own CIA destroyed the tapes of its own torture sessions. Amateur.

The United Arab Emirates, which includes Abu Dhabi as one of its seven emirates, has said that the Sheik is under house arrest pending an investigation,

What is truly ironic is that the United States is refusing to ratify a civil nuclear deal between the United Arab Emirates and the United States until the government acted on the torture allegations. We have expressed our outrage on the failure to investigate and prosecute as President Obama and Attorney General Obama refuse to appoint a special prosecutor to deal with our own torture allegations.

On the video, the Sheik calls for closer pictures to show the grain dealers suffering as he is beaten with a nailed board, burned in the genitals with a cigarette lighter, shocked with a cattle prod and shot at with an automatic weapon. Salt is poured on his wounds for good measure.
