Rolling Papers: Texas Man Arrested After Police Find Pot Wrapped In Legal Papers From Prior Drug Arrest

Matthew Ray Creel, 21, has a curious legal file. Police in Santa Fe found marijuana stuffed inside papers in his car — his deferred adjudication order for possession of marijuana from March.

Creel was pulled over in his 1991 Ford Mustang around 11:00 p.m. for a defective headlight. He was then discovered to be driving on a suspended license. When they searched his vehicle, they found the small stash.

He is charged with possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. His bond was set at $2,000. His biggest problem will be the judge who is unlikely to believe professions of regret when you wrap your stash in court papers from your last drug arrest.
