Who Killed Frosty?

It was a horrific video. The victim was standing innocently in the street in Champaign-Urbana when a city bus is shown swerving to hit him. The victim literally seems to explode — piece flying under and over the bus. The bus driver has now resigned, but the snowman will never see Christmas.

The video you can watch transfixed as “thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump, Look at Frosty go.”

Jan Kijowski, a spokeswoman for Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District, will only say that the driver has resigned. I will note that the snowman was placed in the middle of the street.

Of course, all hope is not lost . . .

For Frosty the snowman
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
“Don’t you cry,
I’ll be back again some day.”
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,

Over the hills of snow.
