Keeping Abreast Of Crime: Hacker Traced By FBI From Picture of Girlfriend

This corpus delicti was the key piece of evidence in the arrest by the FBI of alleged super hacker Higinio O. Ochoa. I am not sure why this piece of evidence caught the eye of FBI agents, but they used its posting on Twitter account of @MissAnonFatale to find Ochoa’s girlfriend and then Ochoa.

The alleged Galveston hacker is accused of being part of the group “CabinCr3w,” an affiliate of the hacktivist organization Anonymous. Ochoa, 30, is a Linux administrator in his day job.

Ochoa allegedly used the Twitter handle @Anonw0rmer and his personal information included a picture of a young women in a low-cut shirt that read, “PwNd by w0rmer & CabinCr3w.” The FBI agents worked tirelessly to find this woman and traced her to an iPhone near Melbourne, Australia. That led to Ochoa’s Facebook page.
They allege that Ochoa not only violated a police officer’s privacy but hacked in the County of Houston’s website to create fake events and post images of Anonymous and CabinCr3w as well as other mischief. He also allegedly leaked personal information on Goldman Sachs executives last September.
