Two Brothers Win Lottery And Proceed To Torch House And Trigger Arrests In Celebratory Drug Use

Two Wichita brothers may have won not only the lottery but the top spot for the most dim-witted felons this week. The brother won a $75,000 winning lottery ticket and celebrated by buying pot and meth . . . and proceeded to burn down their house, securing their own arrests.

The 27 year old men appear to have burned down their home after one went into the kitchen to refuel their butane torches needed for their bongs. When he emptied the cans of lighter fluid, the butane vapor reached the pilot light and exploded.

The burned brother was taken by his girlfriend and children to the hospital where he was dumped off and left. The man was still wearing his lottery winner t-shirt and was hospitalized with serious burns. Police then showed up at the house with a warrant and the other brother came out and confessed to the drug possession. He was promptly arrested. So one brother is in jail and the other is in the burn ward.

This rivals the recent poisoning of a lottery winner in the category of “be careful what you ask for” prizes.
