
Graber was an actual editor of the lesbian news website Lezgetreal.com and supported Arraf — until he found that he was hoaxed in the act of his own hoax. That must have put him back a bit in therapy. Earlier, Paula Brooks said she felt like a “patsy.”
Graber wrote under the name Paula Brooks but insisted that “LezGetReal was not meant to be deceitful or con anyone.” The site calls itself a “Gay Girl’s View of the World.” Brooks told The Washington Post that “I didn’t start this with my name because… I thought people wouldn’t take it seriously, me being a straight man.” Well, I suppose that is true. I might not be quite as trusting in a straight man’s take on the life of a lesbian.
