Georgetown Professor Again Triggers A Firestorm of Controversy With Hateful Anti-Republican Comments

Georgetown_seal Dr. Carol Christine Fair, an associate professor in the Security Studies Program at Georgetown, has created a firestorm of controversy after she called for the castration and “miserable death” of Republican senators. This is not her first such controversy in profanely attacking Republicans.

We previously discussed Fair tirades against Republicans.

Fair is clearly upset with the ongoing Kavanaugh hearings but took the event to a bizarre extreme. She posted:

“Look at [this] chorus of entitled white men justifying a serial rapist’s arrogated entitlement,” she wrote. “All of them deserve miserable deaths while feminists laugh as they take their last gasps. Bonus: we castrate their corpses and feed them to swine? Yes.”

She previously posted a profane Twitter tirade against Kavanaugh, who was called “rapist” and “perjurer” as well referring to the GOP as a “f—ing death cult” and “filthy swine.” She has also described the the GOP as “pro-rape, pro-pederasty, pro-perjury, pro-corruption, pro-Russian hacking, pro-child trafficking, pro-white male supremacy, pro-VERY-late-term abortion of children with AR-15’s … a f—ing death cult.”

Various people have called for Fair to be disciplined, but these postings were made from her private account. Her hateful comments against Republicans can obviously make conservative students uncomfortable, including her calls for the sexual mutilation of GOP leaders.

The comments however were made on her private accounts. As I noted earlier, despite my criticism of Fair for these postings, I still believe that this is an exercise of free speech and there is no indication that Fair is unfair to conservative students. As such, Fair is rightfully the subject of condemnation but not termination. These comments go to core political beliefs, though expressed in the crudest possible way.
