The teacher arranged for a man to appear brandishing a gun and then kill science teacher Richard Kent as he ran across a field. They then pretended to try to resuscitate him without success.
After ten minutes of children weeping and crying, they were told it was part of a science lesson. Some children were physically ill and one went into a panic attack.
While apologizing, the school insisted that the children learned lessons from the ordeal. I expect utter terror and panic are lessons of some kind, but not exactly part of SOL curriculum in the states.
