Taliban Behead 17 People Found Dancing At Party In Afghanistan

Taliban militia in Afghanistan objected to a mixed-gender dance party in a Southern province this week as unIslamic. Rather than turning off the music, the militia (which controls the area) beheaded 17 people at the party to defend the faith against immorality. Despite claims of the success of the war, these areas remain largely under Taliban control. The Taliban has gradually resumed governance in these areas as U.S. troops pull back.

In addition, two more American soldiers were shot and killed by their Afghan colleagues — that brings to a dozen such killings of NATO soldiers by Afghan soldiers.

The decapitated bodies of the dancers were left for people to see the price of immorality and failure to adhere to the Taliban’s strict view of Sharia law.
