Taliban militia in Afghanistan objected to a mixed-gender dance party in a Southern province this week as unIslamic. Rather than turning off the music, the militia (which controls the area) beheaded 17 people at the party to defend the faith against immorality. (A Taliban official is shown here in one of its favorite past times of beating women into submission).
Despite claims of the success of the war, these areas remain largely under Taliban control. The Taliban has gradually resumed governance in these areas as U.S. troops pull back.
In addition, two more American soldiers were shot and killed by their Afghan colleagues — that brings to a dozen such killings of NATO soldiers by Afghan soldiers.
The decapitated bodies of the dancers were left for people to see the price of immorality and failure to adhere to the Taliban’s strict view of Sharia law.

The Taliban has the morality of the devil. Jesus is the ultimate of morality raising the dead not taking life. The Taliban need to know this.
I don’t believe it will ever be possible to negotiate with men such as this. Appeasement of them is a deadly mistake. Rule .303 is just about all that is left.
The footloose revision that came out a year or so back should have been set in Taliban country…a missed opportunity to make a really dramatic revision.

This kind of act is abominable but in no way justifies a continued presence of American troops in the country.
I wonder which note POTUS gets across his desk first thing in the morning?
The one about ANOTHER two US soldiers killed, or the one about 17 people beheaded that (still) have no human rights?
