Knyckare announced that “Sweden’s first man-free rock festival will see the light next summer. In the coming days I’ll bring together a solid group of talented organisers and project leaders to form the festival organisers, then you’ll hear from everyone again when it’s time to move forward.”

Knyckare acknowledged the shoddy logic of her discrimination but somehow converted it into a rationale: “All men are not rapists, but almost all rapes are carried out by men. We want to create a free space, a cool festival where women can be without feeling worried.” So it is enough to engage in open discrimination if it makes some people less “worried.” That are plenty of discriminatory groups that would readily embrace that logic to ban blacks or Jews or lesbians or transgender people.
I am unfamiliar with Knyckare comedic work but none of this is particularly funny.
