It appears that the rule against camera-equipped phones applies only to girls’ schools. The discovery was made during an investigation of an assault on the school principal.
The sentence is three times greater than the flogging given teenagers in September for going on a destructive spree — ransacking shops and restaurants. Girls with phones in Saudi Arabia are almost as frightening it seems as women working out or driving.
