In the ever-increasing list of taser controversies, a new video has surfaced showing a very graphic and disturbing example of how this device can kill. This video comes from the Vancouver airport.

There is no question that the man had engaged in property destruction, but even after the first taser and the man is down, a voice can be heard calling for a second shot. One of the police officers appears to have his knee on the man’s neck despite ample restraint from numerous officers. The question of excessive force would be a matter for litigation in the states in such a circumstance, though juries tend to give considerable deference to the judgment of officers in the use of such force.
