Former New York Prosecutor Sentenced to Jail for Statutory Rape

In New City, New York, former prosecutor Beth Modica, 44, has been sentenced to two years in prison years for statutory rape. The main witness against her was her own daughter.

Danielle Modica testified that she and her mother competed for the affections of the same boy. She described how she banged on a bathroom door as her mother had oral sex with her boyfriend. She urged the judge to send her mother to prison.

Danielle’s father is the Spring Valley police chief.

    Wow! This one even shocks me. It looks like that is one nasty mother. I have to commend the kids for taking the stand against their mother. Those kids are going to really need some counseling for a long time. I sure hope the BJ was worth it for the mom. She ruined her kids lives and hers, possibley forever. Sad. Very sad.

    This is the kind of tale one finds at pornography websites, not that I’ve ever been to one.

    It could be bipolar disorder. Here’s a description of symptoms I found quickly by googling: “excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences (e.g., engaging in unrestrained buying sprees, sexual indiscretions, or foolish business investments).”
