Chinese Woman Becomes Internet Star with Airport Meltdown

1_61_a320Now, when you get really mad as those flight attendants, you might want to watch the video below, which is now a major hit on the Internet. While watching this woman writhing on the ground, keep in mind that she merely missed her flight and caught the next plane a couple hours later.

The unnamed woman achieved international celebrity status at Hong Kong International Airport by running around, screaming, and rolling on the ground in response to her late arrival for the flight. She screams, “this is inhumane” as the guard tells her that she will have to take the next flight on Cathay Pacific to San Francisco.

If this had happened in an American airport, I dare say she would likely have been tasered, handcuffed and thrown to the cab stand. And folks think Italians/French/Jews/Latinos are expressive……so much for the notion of emotionless Asians.

I’m not sure if this is an argument for or against the use of tasers! Those people handled this very well. The stayed calm and actually seemed rather kind. Their actions were like a parent with a young child having a terrible two incident. In the US she would have been tased at first scream, then again when she dropped to the floor. I think she would have kept coming so there would have been at 1 or 2 more tases!

    seamus: LOL!

Jill and rcampbell: You both were imagining what might have happened if a woman behaved this way in an American airport; this story, sadly reminds me of the tragic death in 2007 of Carol Ann Gotbaum in a cell in the Phoenix, AZ airport.
