Woman Moved To Tears By . . . Arrival of In-N-Out In Dallas

If you turn off the sounds, you might assume this woman is tearing up over finally nailing Osama Bin Laden or the continuing economic woes plaguing the country. In fact, she is responding to the Grand Opening of an In-N-Out Burger in Texas. I just had to share this cultural moment.

I just have to wonder how many Texans have had to suffer for so long during the period now known as the “Fight For Texas Indigestion.”

  1. To be fair, In and Out makes a damn fine burger. I don’t know if it would ever bring me to tears, but a 3×3 animal style is truly a wonderful thing.

  2. Rich – Agreed. If I’m going to get a fast-food/drive-through burger, I wish it could be from an In-N-Out in New York City.

  3. In and Out, unlike the places that have been opening in DC, is actually affordable, as well as high quality. I don’t think I’d weep, but I’d be happy to see something like them come to the DC area.

  4. I guess I know what I’m going to have for breakfast now.

  5. Swarthmore mom,

Thanks for the recommendation. And we’ll have to add Rays to the list, given Professor Turley’s vote…

    9 a.m. and I’m craving a burger… 🙂

  6. Sounds like a local place, professor. Those are usually the best.

  7. Swarthmore Mom:

I strongly recommend that you withhold judgment on the best burgers until you have tried Ray’s Hell burgers here in Washington. It is really an amazing culinary leap in the advancement of burger kind.

  8. anon nurse, I rarely eat at chains but these hamburgers are very good. I don’t think I will drive 25 mile to Frisco to get one though. In n Out is supposed to open six more shops in the Dallas area. Maybe the woman was homesick for California.

  9. I’m guessing drugs, mental illness or both…

(Some of us are crying over the Patriot Act. Guess I need to get my priorities straight in our new America.)

    Swarthmore mom,

No InNOut here, either. I’ve never eaten at Five Guys. Are the burgers good, IYO?

  10. AY:

    Grateful(grāt’fəl):

    Appreciative of benefits received; thankful.

  11. mespo,

    LAUGHABLE

: of a kind to provoke laughter or sometimes derision : amusingly ridiculous

  12. I once wept openly at the news that a Walmart was closing for lack of business. Call me emotional!

  13. RIDICULOUS

: arousing or deserving ridicule : extremely silly or unreasonable : absurd, preposterous…..

    Enough said…..
