I have previously and repeatedly criticized President Donald Trump for his tweets and comments, including personal attacks and name calling that is below the dignity of his office. Some on this blog have (perhaps correctly) labeled me as something of a prude when it comes to foul language and uncivil exchanges in professional sports, academia, or politics. However, even discounting my sensitivity over such conduct by adults, this is a new low. After news of a judge tossing the defamation lawsuit of Stormy Daniels, Trump lashed out at her and her counsel, Michael Avenatti. Trump called Daniels “horseface” and Avenatti as a “third-rate lawyer.” Daniels responded by calling him “Tiny” and a man with a penchant for “bestiality.” Once again, why? Trump is President of the United States calling a porn star a adolescent schoolyard name and triggering a name calling contest on social media. Speaker Paul Ryan and other Republicans have again criticized the President for such language.
I previously expressed doubt of the defamation case filed by Daniels on the very grounds cited by the court in its dismissal.
U.S. District Court Judge S. James Otero ruled that “The Court agrees with Mr. Trump’s argument because the tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States,” states the opinion. “The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement.”
The opinion was predictable but the President’s response should not be. Trump tweeted “Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas,” he tweeted. “She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!”
That triggered a presidential trash talk with a former porn star.
I do not really care if this is politically astute (which I doubt) but it is clearly not presidential.

Its really simple. By definition half the people have an IQ of less than 100. How many of those have never voted? Engaging in this kind of talk might just (no probably did) bring them to vote for him.
And we have only ourselves to blame. Obama promised Hope and Change. He gave us more of the same. So how many times do you have to be lied to by politicians before you say I give up. I’m voting for the jack ass that treats people like shit but just might get the job done.
He didn’t give us more of the same. You’d be hard put to find anything resembling the FIB and IRS scandals in any of the previous 8 administrations.
People who whine about ‘name-calling’ sound like elementary school wankers.
I do not blame the guy. Constant attacks. Always below the belt going right after him and his family. Same with Kavanaugh. We have twitter posts from Hollywood wanting to lock his kid in a cage with pedophiles and the account is not banned. I do not think that one should take a job to help people and then just stand there and take it forever. If you Turley were assailed in this manner 27/7 and stood by your convictions I assume you would at least call a spade a spade and rightfully so.
dave – but you have to be effective when you fight back. If you end up worse off then before, or helping your opponent, then your efforts to defend yourself failed.
You can absolutely defend and fight back against unwarranted media attacks and repeated coup attempts from the FBI et al, effectively.
Now, Churchill was devious with his witty insults. It might not fly in today’s PC culture, but he got his point across like a rapier slash, and you’d laugh in its wake.
Turley, you constantly seem amazed at how unsuitable Trump is for the office of President. Trump’s first, core, and consistently reinforced argument is that he is above all that ‘stuff’, truth, honesty, intelligence, concern for the people, etc. From the beginning Trump has consistently stated through his words and actions that the end justifies the means.
There has been a slight bump to an already blossoming economy, and that’s about all. The rich have gotten a lot richer. The middle class and lower classes have seen a slight increase in job availability, but above all the claims of a ‘brand new world’ have continued. Trump is relying on his appeal as a man of action who doesn’t have time for niceties and details. This works for his rabid supporters but those who stop and think are coming to the realization that Trump is almost all sizzle and very little steak. The US is losing the trade war, the oligarchs and special interests are getting much larger and independent of the people’s interests, the world seems to be making adjustments to being able to work without depending on the US, and China and Russia are growing in strength, emboldened by the chaos Trump has created in the world. It’s still early and there may be some long lasting benefits, but a few points might be pondered: the world’s economy contains groups of countries that are much larger economically than the US, these groups are already working well together without the US, the world’s economy will find its way without the US, China has annexed the South China Sea, Russia has a puppet state in Syria instead of only the naval pit stop it had before, Russia has created and maintains chaos on Europe’s Eastern border, more immigrants are fleeing Central American countries and making it into the US, the country designed by the oligarchs to be polarized and chaotic so as to be easier to control by the special interests is way more polarized and chaotic, etc.. However, Trump the entertainer continues to entertain the mob.
You are spit on. He needed to say Nothing. Winning the lawsuit spoke volumes. Sadly that is not the story. His big mouth is.
i agree he should have said nothing.
Still, it’s no big deal that he called her horseface. She has kind of a long nose. Trump is silly sometimes.
“Winning the lawsuit spoke volumes” and will be forgotten after the next news article. His big mouth made him President. Your mouth made you Anonymous.
Winning “the” lawsuit doesn’t dismiss all the other more significant lawsuits still pending.Of the three I believe related to Stormy Daniels, the one that got canceled was the least important. Trump has to respond to written questions in the Summer Zervos lawsuit, we’ll see if he can do that without lying. Keep in mind there is potential proof in the Apprentice tapes which up to this point have only been discussed and not seen. Winning the lawsuit hardly speaks volumes, it’s a win in a case most people weren’t familiar with and only dealt with defamation.
Summer’s represented by Gloria Allred. I’m sure everything’s on the square.
No, he didn’t “win the lawsuit”, in the sense you mean, which implies that he did not slander Ms. Clifford. The case was dismissed because of Texas’s anti-SLAPP law, that allows what the judge called “hyperbole” when the speaker is a public figure. tRump called Ms. Clifford ” a total con”, denied that she knew him, etc.. It’s entirely possible that an appeals court would disagree that tRump’s accusations were merely hyperbole.
Turley’s point is well-taken, however. tRump engages in petty, immature, unbridled selfish conduct, and that’s just with his name-calling, not to mention his bragging about sexual assault and consorting with porn stars and Playboy models. He has brought this country low. There was a time when someone who bragged about grabbing women without consent was considered a pervert. Now, he’s called the POTUS. Does this mean that men now have a license to grab womens’ privates without consent, or the reverse? Does his petty name-calling mean that it is OK for school children to engage in such behavior? If tRump supporters think it’s OK for him to do this, why not for school children? If it’s OK for tRump to cheat on his third wife, what does marriage mean, and why does someone like Pence stand up for him and his conduct? Explain why Pence is not a hypocrite.
What I have never understood is how low-brow tRump supporters have to be to find petty, vindictive name-calling some sort of refreshing “telling it like it is”. Are Americans really that dense? The rest of the world must think so.
What I have never understood is how low-brow tRump supporters have to be to find petty, vindictive name-calling some sort of refreshing “telling it like it is”.
Wow! The only logical explanation for your utter lack of self-reflection is you’re either a bot or a vampire. Since we are in the Halloween season, I’m going with the latter.
Anonymous – this is different than FDR who died with his mistress or JFK who nailed anything that moved or LBJ who whipped out his dick in public so reporters could see how big it was. Where does Trump fit in all of this?
Awesome. More “whataboutism.” You Pravda Faux News bots never learn. You may want to brush up on the definitions of relevance and logic–oh, and whatever that ticking sound you hear is.
this is to “hannity is my ‘truth’ whisperer” paulie – georgie
Marky Mark Mark – don’t you worry your pretty little NPC head. That ticking is the end of life as you know it.
I suspect the tweet was a product of over-exuberance at being vindicated after months of horrendous abuse at the hands of that third rate alleged “lawyer,” Avenatti. (I’ve seen no evidence thus far that he even attended law school). And the “horse-face” comment was intended to publicly disavow any attraction to the lying whore. Seems ok to me.
Thanks for checking in with the daily Pravda Faux News line. Unfortunately for you, your ilk, the gullible rubes, dupes, klan wannabees and pocket-traitors, here in the real world it’s accepted fact that the day glo bozo paid $130,000 to have sex with a porn star. Of course, the patsies to the con will think he “made a good deal” or some such nonsense. But more importantly for your types, “what is that ticking sound?”
this is to “in my world I prefer ‘alternative’ or sometimes just ‘make-believe’ facts” sad debbie
Marky Mark Mark – listen up my little NPC. According to the porn star, Trump paid nothing to have sex with her. He paid $130k, or rather his attorney paid that amount, to keep it out of the press before the election.
I understand that this behavior my be disconcerting to a man educated in the Pax American but Mr. Turley should avail himself of other eras in American history that have been just as ribald and ungentlemanly as this. Perhaps if the left half of this nation were not so uncivilized in their actions towards this duly elected man he would not respond in kind.
Our current situation with an unbridled left is the fault of their opposition doing just as Mr. Turley would ask, be polite while the left beats the snot of you, it hasn’t worked in the past and would only embolden the left if tried now.
Jefferson was slandered as a philanderer and Lincoln was called an ape. I find real human emotion refreshing in this era of eupahamism and faux gentility. It can go too far but calling a blackmailing whore as such seems fair play.
Lincoln totally did look like a monkey. I can think of another one that did too sort of. From Illinois also.
A lot of presidents had a side thing, it’s barely worth remembering except as marginalia.
Daniels will never get a high paying trick like that again. She’s milking it, so to speak.
mespo – What would be the appropriate name for the person that sleeps with a whore?
A customer.
Shes “a whore” and he’s “a customer?” If one makes that decision to sleep with a whore without a condom, surely there must be a less benign description?
For the male it’s unrestrained biology; for the woman it’s an emotionless investment.
mespo – That’s what you”re going with? That sounds like his relationship with his wife.
Hahaha, good one Enigma!
enigma – my understanding is that the Donald did not pay her for sleeping with her, it was two consenting adults. That is according to her. And then they began a business relationship.
Lost leader, eh?
Paul – mespo labeled the woman a derogatory term, ” a whore.” I just wondered what the man who slept with her was? I might add without a condom, with his wife and newborn child at home. What term would be appropriate?
enigma – the more I learn about Stormy and Avenatti, the less likely I think her story is.
Paul – So you think Donald Trump paid $130,000 to someone he didn’t screw? How likely is that? I even believe the “tiny” parts of her story. It would explain much.
omg enigma……….why don’t you just put on a wig and call yourself “Oprah”?!
Honestly, what do you care about Donald Trump’s sex life, especially before he was your President?
Black youths are killing each other in tremendous numbers! Focus on what’s important!
Go help make a difference! All you Dems do is gossip and giggle about s-e-x! Jeeze.
I didn’t post the blog, Turley did. Forgive me for pointing out the hypocrisy in condemning the behavior of the woman and giving your boy a pass on everything. I care little (actually nothing) about the sex. I’m waiting for the money laundering, fraud, conspiracy, bribery and tax evasion charges.
Cindy – I forgot perjury… my bad.
Kellyanne pivot. That’s all you got? Pro tip: hannity really thinks you’re a patsy and well as a gullible rube.
this is to “ya, the day glo bozo is an imbecile and likely a traitor, but let’s talk about something else” cindie
Marky Mark Mark – for an NPC you are really obsessed with Hannity. Is it sexual for you? I don’t think you are his type. You will just be disappointed. Don Lemon might be available, though.
enigma – Charlie Chaplin paid child support for a child that the court knew was not his. $130k is the cost of doing business in NYC. And Avenatti is a third-rate lawyer. If he is representing a client, I am wary. I took JT’s word for his character at the beginning, but no more. I don’t think JT is a good judge of character. 😉
Paul – ” I don’t think JT is a good judge of character. 😉”
I don’t think so either, I think he mischaracterizes people and events in half the stories he tells as well, offering excuses to the masses.
They’re both sluts, Stormy and Donald.
Kitty Wampus – Donald may sleep around, however he doesn’t charge for it. Stormy, on the other hand, charges (most of the time) for people to have sex with her.
Enigma , –If I may answer to the question you asked of Mespo, I think the name is “John”.
Tom – That’s the nicest thing that can be said.
Nice. F*ck off. How’s that?
this is to “what is that ticking sound?” hall monitor carmen
Marky Mark Mark – that ticking sound you hear is the end of all NPCs, like you. When you stop hearing the ticking, it is over for you.
Stormy made a deal with Cohen then reneged on the deal. Your star student is helping her. Why? Because they want to destroy Trump’s presidency. They are his avowed enemy.
Now you invoke some imaginary Marquess of Queensbury rules to pretend that it is a foul for the president to call the enemies seeking to destroy him an unflattering name. Trump isn’t GWB. He’s not going to let a Keith Ogremann wannabe get enormously rich trying to destroy his presidency without at least fighting back. Horseface is pretty mild.
Such an uncouth slob, as we have for a President.
But in a Democracy, shouldn’t the uncouth slobs also have an opportunity to make policy? Democracy includes everyone including the half of the population that are the most uncouth and the most slobby.
Sam – hasn’t the American ideal been that anyone can grow up to be President. 😉
Go back to your Guinness.
You’d have more credibility, JT, if you criticized your former research assistant and current media whore, Avenatti, for doing the exact same thing. IAnd if forced to choose, I’ll take a crude talking winner over a gentlemanly spouting loser every time when my interests are involved. You’ve been strangely silent on Avenatti’s shameful, self-aggrandizing antics lately. Especially his outright disrespect for the Office of the Presidency. Prudishness goes both ways.
Avenatti is a textbook violator of the RPC on publicity.
He also has qualified for discipline under 8.4, for sure
this is what it looks like when a lawyer throws the RPC out the window because he figures he will lose his license soon enough anyways, better cash in fast. then they go hog wild.
This commenter is a fraud impersonating Mespo.
Trump behaves in the manner of a juvenile delinquent because Trump is, always was, and ever will be a juvenile delinquent. Trump’s supporters gape in reverent awe at Trump’s juvenile delinquency because Trump’s supporters are, always were, and ever will be devout worshippers of the juvenile-delinquency cult that Mark Burnett created for Trump to preside over for thirteen seasons on “The Apprentice”. Neither Trump nor his supporters will ever advance beyond the fifth-grade level of emotional immaturity. Arrested development is their lot in life. Reversion to childhood, their destiny. Their fate, like Trump’s, forever to be spanked in the name of Mother’s tough love.
L4D:
I had no idea you had first-hand knowledge and insights into Trump’s behavior as a juvenile. (“Always was, and ever will be, a juvenile delinquent). Do tell. Then delve into the emotional maturity and psychological underpinnings of every Trump supporter. (“Neither Trump nor his supporters will ever advance beyond the fifth-grade level of emotional immaturity. Arrested development is their lot in life. Reversion to childhood, their destiny“).
Can’t wait for the book! Or the series. I’ll bet it’ll read like General Longstreet’s memoir.
mespo – Longstreet has a memoir?
Yep. “From Mannas to Appomattox.” The movie “Gettysburg” is based on it. Col. Edward Porter Alexander’s is better IMHO.
Manassas
mespo – I will put that on my list. I am currently reading a bio of Sherman based on his letters, diaries, etc.
Paul:
Every educated American should read Longstreet’s and Grant’s memoirs on the Civil War. Both excellent. I told you Alexander’s rings the most truthful to me, however. Lee never wrote one depriving the world of a real gift, Stonewall Jackson was killed and McClellan’s was too outlandish to be believed.
mespo – I’ve read Grant’s, so I will read Longstreet’s.
Longstreet spends a lot of time justifying his actions and inactions. He was scapegoated as losing the Battle of Gettysburg after the war due to lifelong his friendship with Grant. Lee knew Longstreet did no such thing but many of his lieutenants surely were looking for someone e to blame. There’s an interesting story about Pickett I’ll tell you sometime if you’re interested.
mespo – I am always interested, 😉
Jackson’s death at Chancellorville contributed greatly to the result at Gettysburg. Jackson would never have let Ewell dally around for most of the day and fail to take the high ground with Culp’s and Cemetery Hills virtually undefended until very late on day 1. Jackson woulda been camping on Rock Creek on the night of July 1; there would never have been a Pickett’s Charge needed as Jackson woulda already own the hills.
Jackson’s death was a great loss to Lee but it’s uncertain that even he could have collapsed the right flank of the Union line given their superior position. Ewell did fail to counterattack but there was a Union cavalry in reserve that caused him to be too cautious. I think Jackson would have persuaded Lee to move around Gettysburg and proceed directly to Washington outflanking Meade as Longstreet suggested.
That would have been acceptable, but I think Jackson’s well-earned confidence in the ability of his “foot-cavalry” to move so quickly would have caused him to invest Culp’s Hill, as there were reports of only a few scattered Yankees therr up until late in the afternoon. However, your point implicating the dearth of tactical intelligence regarding the disposition of the Yankee forces was a huge problem; one brought about by the absence of J.E.B. Stuart–although Lee bears some responsibility for Stuart’s absence, too, being prone to issuing open-ended orders which allowed his commanders to maximize their flexibility according to conditions. Unfortunately, his orders to Longstreet two days later were–in hindsight–disastrously clear; although had one more intact brigade made it to the top with Armistead it might have changed history.
Mark M:
Well Stuart was incredibly independent but he knew Lee needed “his eyes” in his last northern invasion. Baldy was understandably reluctant to blindly put his troops into an uphill assault against entrenched troops. Hood would discover that folly on the other side of the line against Chamberlain at Little Round Top. Btw, it’s a lie that Ewell lost his nerve at Culp’s Hill and that the Confederates we’re in disorganized retreat. They were entrenched and ready to repel attacker’s.
To your second point, Had Brockenbrough’s brigade not been decimated by the 8th Ohio, Armstead would have been supported as he reached the stone wall at the Copse of Trees and you’d be right.
Make that Union not Confederate troops in retreat at Culps Hill.
That’s strange. Most juvenile delinquents I’ve heard of don’t head multi-million dollar industries, giving women and minorities an equal opportunity to break the glass ceiling, donating millions to charity, and taking over the building of a community ice rink the the city of New York managed to bungle for years.
Most juvenile delinquents tag buildings, steal cars, rob stores, deal drugs, rob houses, do drugs, get into fights, shoot at each other, and go to jail.
Mean name calling on Twitter is certainly wrong, but we would be lucky if that’s all that juvenile delinquents did.
“Trump behaves in the manner of a juvenile delinquent” because, Diane, you don’t know any better. In NYC he was forced to deal with adult juvenile delinquents and in Washington far worse. On this blog, you are a juvenile delinquent, graffiti and all including the lack of an education in life.
You’ve hit on something. Exhibit A is the laughably ridiculous behaviors, thoughts and beliefs of the gullible rubes, dupes, klan wannabees, pocket-traitors and grifters on the make that are displayed ad nauseum here in bedlam. These types and the day glo bozo truly deserve each other. Perhaps once we’ve safeguarded our beloved country from the depravations of the charlatan in chief, he will go back to shilling reality TV so the buffoons here can get all the bozo time they need without placing the world in mortal danger.
to late 4 dinner
How dare you critize my President for actions not related to running the country. These were entertaining comments intended for his followers. You and always unfollow.
^^^ Case in point above. ^^^
Remember the openly hypocritical way the politicians talked to each other? Perhaps because no one wanted a reincarnation of Sam Houston. But also recall why we counter revolutionists went for Trump. The goal was to defend Our Constitutional Republic so that the military did not have to do so.
1. Outsider with all that implied had experienced in the political left and went to the opposition as a Constitutionalest.
2. The goal three of them were Clinton, DNC, RINOs. and then any that were left behind
3. Next the goal was no law passed unless it was presented listing the Consitutional Authority chapter and verse.
You can’t use a regular groupie groper to accomplish that goal but unknowingly the RINOs provided us with the flawed lottery candidate.
Remember if you ever knew it at all. Our loyalty in the military by taking the oath is to one thing and one thing only. The Constitution. You can’t do that with Gentleman Rankers. But you can with someone who can speak street language. When needed
The left has never understood all they are doing is imitating the aristocracies of old and the divine right of Kings.
Our side going back to the founders, considers their role as Constitutionalists and only the citizen Constitutionalist important enough to be the only source of power.
The difference is ballots versus bullets and a moral value belief in the continued existence of Our Constitution.
Rough around the edges? Certainly. because you cannot always defer to ‘better instincts’ because it doesn’t exist. .
Paraphrased: The Constitution requires a false idol to speak to its idolaters in the lingo of Queens.
You know, all he had to do was post a Tweet with the story that the case was dismissed, without a comment of his own. That’s it. And then he would have come out looking classy on Twitter for once. Why why why doesn’t he have a communications or speech writing department monitor his Tweets before he sends them?
Instead, he insulted a porn star who allegedly slept with him because she hoped it would help her “career”, then signed a non disclosure agreement for a boatload of cash to protect his privacy while enriching herself, and then she broke that non disclosure agreement in order to further enrich herself and further her “career.”
Now, I can get why he would be mad at Stormy, but the bottom line is that he appears to have slept with a porn star while married. What kind of woman did he think would sleep with a married man? A really ethical, kind-hearted, trustworthy one? Why call her a “horse face”? What does that say about him for allegedly sleeping with him?
He was wrong to cheat on any of his wives. Utterly and completely wrong. His name calling fails to imply his own culpability in this. One usually does not have drama with porn stars if you don’t sleep with them. So don’t sleep with them.
I am disgusted with all three of them in their handling of this issue. Him for calling her a name, her for referring to his genitalia, and Avenatti for his own crude remarks. In addition, “shyster” is supposed to be anti-semitic, as it references Shylock in Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. However, most people don’t think of it as anti-semitic and intent matters.
They all need to move on.
Eventually but he was hired to do the job he is doing so that people ike Pence could follow on more in the manner apparently required being ‘Presidential’ what ever that means .
I see it as being something the body politic deserves because citizen failed to exercise their duty as the source of power. That might cause you to do some thinking as the autopilot mode didn’t work.
Citizenship is based on both rights and responsibilities and the more you loathe the President it was your combined misconduct as citizens that made him necessary. to your, make that our own survival.
There are ony two other alternatives. Military upholds it’s oath of office or you get the Bacons and Bentons of the world. That third alternative is being more loathesome than someone who connects directly to the citizens by tweeting.
Besides she isn’t (Daniels) the only horse face in this little production. Strzok’s lover comes to mind as does Pelosi and worse Schumer who is the opposite end.
So…. what you you deprecate as being common and coarse I see as being multilingual and discerning and for the moment necessary. .
“… Schumer, the opposite end.”
**************
**** chuckle ****
you forgot to mention that the aristocratic demeanor of Mitt Romney when confronted with the deliberate lying of Candy
Crowley, while polite and gentlemanly, gave him the look of a spineless nerd unable to defend himself much less the entire nation. Sometimes good manners are not what is called for first.
I actually do not loathe the President, but rather was pleasantly surprised at how much he has accomplished, as well as his serious efforts to fulfill his campaign promises.
However, whenever I heard “President Trump Tweeted today…” I look around for something to hold onto.
The center and right fail in the communication wars. When you don’t control the main stream media, you have to be extremely effective in your communications. Trump could have absolutely flayed their case, and his opponents, sharply and effectively. Silly name calling doesn’t accomplish anything. If he was going to call the pair of them anything, it should have been self aggrandizing mercenaries trying to enrich themselves in perpetuity off of him.
Karen S – he did, he just used a language that got everyone’s attention. 😉
If he was going to call the pair of them anything, it should have been self aggrandizing mercenaries trying to enrich themselves in perpetuity off of him.
Karen, I’m clearly a fan of most everything you post, but on this you are wrong. There is not and never will be a communication style that President Trump can employ that would endear him to his detractors. He’s an unconventional President fighting an unconventional war. He’s doing exactly what he promised he would do. He’s essentially over the target, which means he is guaranteed to receive flak.
These Murphy’s Laws of Combat are meant to be humorous, but there is a lot of truth in them. I’m sure a lot of hay can made with this list on the President, but… #92 would apply to this discussion:
92. The combat worth of a unit is inversely proportional to the smartness of its outfit and appearance.
https://www.strategypage.com/humor/articles/military_humor_murphys_laws_of_combat.asp
Karen S – let’s just for the sake of argument agree that Stormy and Donald did not have sex together. Now Stormy is attacking him with a story she is going to sell to the press, so he buys it and gets her to sign an NDA. It is cheap in the long run (wait until Avenatti pays Trump’s legal fees). Stormy is now a public figure, so Trump can call her whatever he wants and he is protected. Avenatti is also a public figure and Trump can call him whatever he wants.
Trump does what we are not brave enough to do, because he does not care. He says what we are thinking but are too polite to say. That tick, tick, ticking is the heads of liberals getting ready to explode.
Excerpted from the Wikipedia article on the term Shyster:
The etymology of the word is not generally agreed upon. The Oxford English Dictionary describes it as “of obscure origin”, possibly deriving from a historical sense of “shy” meaning disreputable, whereas the Merriam-Webster Dictionary deemed it probably based on the German Scheisser [Scheißer] (literally “defecator”). Various false etymologies have suggested an anti-Semitic origin, possibly associated with the character of Shylock from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, but there is no clear evidence for this. One source asserts that the term originated in Philadelphia in 1843 from a disreputable attorney named “Schuster.” A book published in 2013 traces the first use back to 1843, when scammers in New York City would exploit prisoners by pretending to be lawyers. These scammers were disparagingly referred to as “shisers”, meaning “worthless people” in British slang, which in turn was originally derived from the German “Scheißer” (literally: sh*tt*r).
The Soviet nuclear missile R-5 Pobeda (“Victory”) was given the NATO reporting name “Shyster.”
i agree with the origin being schiesser
shylocking is anther word for loan sharking, that is, usurious private loans enforced with violence……. not like credit cards, which are usurious private loans enforced in small claims court. LOLZ
Why? Because the times call for it. Why? Because his dignified predecessor was dishing out lunch money to our enemies abroad. Why? Because it exposes the enemies within. Why? Because being a well-mannered, articulate, dignified, stuffed-suit lawyer has proven to be nothing more than a costume; a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Why? Because he’s got a limited amount of time to get sh!t done. Why? Because the manner with which he gets sh!t done will be a footnote to what he accomplishes. Why? Because the Left hates it when someone fights back. Why? Because even the Republican stuffed suits in the Senate are learning the times call for it.
a lot of what you say is true but a lot of married women sleep around and some of them are probably decent and would not kiss and tell like stormy
she also broke an unwritten rule of sex workers that you aren’t supposed to blackmail customers
yet another reason why sex work should be legalized
Avenatti is not Jewish i don’t think; probably Italian. He thinks he “cuts a bella figura” like Joey Zasa
https://youtu.be/U6M-YT5kkio
“without a comment of his own. That’s it. And then he would have come out looking classy on Twitter for once. ”
Karen, the press is one sided. It only attacks him and wants to “kill” him. Why should he concern himself over being “killed” twice when death only comes once. Moreover, in this fashion he controls the debate and keeps his picture in front of the camera; “any press is good press”. Remember when he was getting rid of a lot of regulations early in his administration? Actually none of us really remember that. The news media was focussing on other comments he was making at the time. That gave him breathing space to get rid of regulations unhindered during these early months.
Finally, you have to consider that what you see is Trump the NYC developer pushing his way through to his objective unconcerned with his appearance or what other people think about him. He more or less told us that during his 60 Minutes interview. In NYC he dealt with some of the most difficult and somewhat dangerous people (though not as bad as those in Washington or the Clintons).
She does have equine features.
What a horse’s face looks like:
https://media.istockphoto.com/photos/portrait-of-a-beautiful-brown-purbred-horse-picture-id858502236
I find our President refreshingly honest about his feelings. Actually, my daughter and I laughed our heads off at his calling Stormy Daniels a “horseface”. While I do believe he stoops to low sometimes and cringe, he certainly is a change from two faced politicians and those who blatantly lie over and over again. Sandi Hemming got it right. For all all his boasting “horseface” Obama and the other “horses” in his cabinet, hadn’t a clue.
I am tired of “not Presidential” comments all over. For me, Presidential is doing the job to assure the future of this country. Getting millions of Americans working again. Getting millions off of welfare and food stamps. For recognizing the consequences of allowing anybody to walk over our borders. Was Bill Clinton acting Presidential while getting blow jobs in his office? We learn more and more the predator we had elected, twice. Then Obama for “hope and change”. Eight years of that almost lost us our country. President Bush turned over peace in the Middle East and Obama ended it by pulling troops out and war began again. Our race relations with Black citizens got worse instead of better. This country has no idea what we were saved from by rejecting Hillary. She would have continued our decline into Socialism! I don’t care how many ztweets he sends, I don’t care if he offends some people while getting this country back! So what do I care about his demeanor? He will leave office in 2024 with a country back on its feet!
This Land Is Your Land
Words and Music by Woody Guthrie
This land is your land This land is my land
From California to the New York island;
From the red wood forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and Me.
As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway:
I saw below me that golden valley:
This land was made for you and me.
I’ve roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
And all around me a voice was sounding:
This land was made for you and me.
When the sun came shining, and I was strolling,
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,
As the fog was lifting a voice was chanting:
This land was made for you and me.
As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said “No Trespassing.”
But on the other side it didn’t say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.
In the shadow of the steeple I saw my people,
By the relief office I seen my people;
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking
Is this land made for you and me?
Nobody living can ever stop me,
As I go walking that freedom highway;
Nobody living can ever make me turn back
This land was made for you and me
Going after Stormy does not make you a misogynist. Anf Avenatti is a third-rate lawyer, so he is on track there. And what is this bestiality claim? Stormy is really throwing the mud around.
Turley wrote, “Trump called Daniels “horseface” and . . . [edit] . . . Daniels responded by calling him . . . [edit] . . . a man with a penchant for “bestiality.”
Pablo Cabalero Eschoolbus asked, “And what is this bestiality claim?”
Okay, Pablito, here’s the math on the bestiality claim: Trump called Daniels horseface; Daniels says Trump had sex with “horseface”. Having sex with horses is “bestiality”. Ergo, Daniels said Trump has “a penchant for bestiality.”
P. S. If you analyze a joke, then the joke is no longer funny. If you ask for the joke to be analyzed, then you didn’t get the joke in the first place.
L4Yoga enables David Benson, R. Lien and Marky Mark Mark – I just didn’t think she was stupid enough to admit she looked like a horse. And evidently you need a much bigger dick when you mount Stormy the horse. Do I have all the joke now? She wants a horse-sized dick.
Hi ho Stormy and away!!
Low level humor.
Paul:
When the Dems are sinking they always pull out the salacious sex card. Kavanaugh for the latest example. It’s what they do. Mostly projection, it derives from their misconceived notion that we are somehow living in Victorian England. (Gasp!) Stormy calling someone else a pervert is a real hoot.
Mespo, do Democrats actually pull out the sex card? Democrats of today swim in sex and racism so I think that card is available at all times. 🙂
Better that politicians express their anger at each other with course language than sending their militaries to fight each other by proxy. Many lives are spared at least.
Darren Smith – Trump has access to an Army, Avenatti does not. 😉
Nicely put. How many battalions does the DNC have? Exacty … none.
Congress shall have the power to declare war.
Your allegiance to The Constitution is in arrears again, Uff Da.
L4Yoga enables David Benson, R. Lien and Marky Mark Mark – the President can declare martial law or declare war for 90 days,
Take note of the distinction between the authorization to use power and a declaration of war. Then do the unthinkable and review your history of the actions taken by Presidents and the inherent gray area between the authorization to use power and a declaration of war.
its a huge topic, really, lots of grey
