Shut Out in Chi-Town: Jewish Groups Blocked from Marching During the Democratic National Convention

Below is my column in the New York Post on the complaints of Jewish groups that they were denied permits to march in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention while other groups, including pro-Palestinian groups, were allowed to do so. There is a crushing irony in Chicago given the decision in 1978 to allow Nazis to march in nearby Skokie, but Jews could not march in Chicago in 2024.

Here is the column:

This week, citizens will gather in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention to voice their support for Israel and protest the abuses of Hamas.

However, this largely Jewish gathering will not be marching. Instead, they will gather on a small private lot blocks away from the convention as thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters march through the streets.

The reason is that Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson has refused to grant their request for a permit.

While pro-Palestinian protesters have been given an array of accommodations by the city (and received a shoutout from President Joe Biden in his convention address), the Jewish protesters are only able to gather due to the donation of a private lot by an owner for their use.

Even as pro-Palestinian protesters veered off approved routes and tore down security fencing, it will be the Jewish protesters who will reportedly remain confined to this private lot under the watchful eye of the Chicago Police Department.

Besides pro-Palestinian protesters, pro-abortion protesters have been allowed to march, and Planned Parenthood is celebrating the nomination of Vice President Kamala Harris with free abortions.

So Jewish protesters get to watch as favored groups parade in abortion pill outfits, but they cannot march with the images of the Hamas hostages in Gaza.

Josh Weiner, co-founder of Chicago Jewish Alliance, confirmed that the group was not granted permits, so all they could do is walk around such approved protests to “make our presence felt.”

He added that “pro-Palestine protesters have gotten multiple permits, including a march, which seems to be a little bit weighted on one side.”

For Chicagoans like myself, the treatment of the pro-Israel protesters at the DNC could not be more ironic or disturbing.

Forty-six years ago, Nazis were allowed to march through Skokie, Illinois, despite the presence of thousands of Holocaust survivors in the largely Jewish city.

The Skokie case is considered one of the milestone moments for free speech, allowing a small group of anti-Semites and racists to march despite the overwhelming opposition in the public. The Nazis were outnumbered 70-1 by counterprotesters and soon receded into obscurity.

Now roughly five decades later, Jewish marchers are being effectively blocked from marching through the city of Chicago, presumably because they would be “too disruptive.”

The city’s passive aggressive approach is fooling no one.

The Johnson administration has been coordinating plans for the convention with the Democratic leadership. The record in this case shows a transparently hostile response to the Jewish protesters.  Despite putting in their request in June, the Jewish protesters were denied while pro-Palestinian protesters were granted permission to march.

The city slow-walked the permit request. When the permit was not granted, it then said that the Jewish groups failed to apply in time when they renewed their requests multiple times. The groups have accused the city of simply not responding to their repeated efforts to address the permits.

Yet Hatem Abudayyeh, executive director of the Arab American Action Network, said that the mayor had personally reached out to reemphasize his support: “The mayor has said from the very beginning that he supports the protest movement. The protest movement is what brought him to City Hall. . . . He said, ‘I understand that struggle. Because I am part of a national liberation struggle as well.’”

It was equally clear that many Democrats did not want Jews to march.

This is unfortunately nothing new for those who support Israel. At Columbia, a professor had his school access card deactivated and was told not to come on campus because his presence might enrage anti-Israel protesters.

In England, a Jewish man was told that he could not walk on a street because “you are quite openly Jewish” and it might trigger pro-Palestinian marchers.

The treatment of the Jewish groups in Chicago outside of the convention stands in sharp contrast to what is being said inside the convention. Speaker after speaker has declared the party to be the champion of the Constitution and free speech.

The one thing that organizers cannot abide in a celebration of constitutional freedom is the actual exercise of those freedoms by unpopular groups.

In only five decades, Jewish groups have become too controversial to march. Instead, the Israeli-American Council has given up waiting for a permit to march and will host a Hostage Square display on private property.

The irony is crushing for many of us who lived through the 1978 controversy. While the Nazis could march in Skokie, these Jews will not be marching in Chicago.

  1. It is time that Jewish Americans wake up and realize that only President Trump (Abraham Accords, Golan Heights, Jerusalem, etc.) And the Republicans support the free, democratic State of Israel and the Constitutional rights of Jewish Americans!

  2. Obvious free speech violation, but what is to be done? When can people use their Second Amendment rights to defend their First Amendment rights?

  3. None of it affects their de facto complete financial and military support for the Netanyahoo genocide.

    1. Genocide–come on dude. One can oppose Israeli policies, but genocide is just a ridiculous charge.

      1. Hamas could surrender today and end it all immediately. Instead, they choose to surround legitimate military targets with human shields.

It’s a new concept in human tragedy: Participatory Genocide.

    2. You don’t have a clue as to the meaning of genocide. The only ones supporting genocide in the Middle East are Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Jihad. Did you forget October 7th? Do you understand that a higher percentage of the Israeli population was killed on October 7th as compared to 9-12? Quit drinking the kool-aid.

    3. Sure…genocide…

Show us the photos of the cemeteries. If true that 60,000 have been killed since the Gaza operation, that would mean a lot of real estate. Unless the cadavers are stacked 20-high or more.

      So, where are the cemeteries?

      J

    4. Could the Armenians do anything to stop the Young Turks? No.
Could the European Jews do anything to stop the Third Reich? No.
Could the Tutsis do anything to stop Hutu Power? No.
Could the Bosniaks do anything to stop Milosovic, Karadzic or Mladic? No.
Could Hamas do anything to stop the IAF? Yes. Surrender.

      Nope. Not a genocide. Sorry.

  4. The Jewish vote has always been taken for granted by the Democrat Party.
It’s time the Democrats get a dose of reality, and lose the Jewish vote, in particular in districts where it costs them ‘seats’ in Congress and more local bodies.
This Mayor Brandon Johnson is a disgrace — how could he get elected in the first place —-

  5. Dear Mr. Turley. thank you for writing this important article. I have often wondered why the Jewish people support the Democrats at all. It is my hope that through this incident, their eyes will be opened to the hatred by the Democratic Party of them. I am also told that 10 abortions have been performed there at the convention by Planned Parenthood. I hope someday to be able to walk my grandchildren through an abandoned abortion clinic and explain why fighting this terrible evil was the right thing to do.

  6. OT: Quickly, news out this a.m. that the Biden overestimated “jobs report” last year by ONE MILLION JOBS.” Also took credit for creating MILLIONs of jobs that were NOT new jobs, but merely nothing more than re-called workers after layoffs due to COVID.
Please do NOT start a new thread on this out of respect for staying on topic and not using up space on other things. Thanks

    1. The jews are now pretending they lost their control over the blacks – that’s a lie. The dem party has always been the stronghold of jewish political power and the blacks (whether they know it or not) are still right there voting straight party ticket. As long as the votes go democrat, the democrat jews could care less who marches, who is supporting palestine, or who is besmirching them. They are the soulless power that makes the democrat tick.

  7. In 1978, Nazi-democrats had the right to march in Illinois in front of Holocaust survivors. Today, pro=Palestine democrats have freedom to march through the city. Jews have been given a confined space because the mayor sympathizes with Palestine. Yet, I’ll bet democrats will get the Jewish vote.

  8. The party that lies about bloodbath, fine people on both sides and suckers and losers wants to create an agency that will censor “misinformation”.

The big mystery to me is why the media, people that also live in our country, will outwardly support the one party that created inflation, an open border, trans athletes beating girls and women, such an unsafe world where we now have two wars happening and crime filled cities? Why do the little girls and their soy boy partners in the media not want our country to be healthier, safer, stronger and more prosperous? Why did they say Biden was “sharp as a tack”? Why do they say that Harris is filled with Joy? Why do they say that Walz is like grandpa? It is so destructive to our capitalistic and free way of life.

    1. HullBobby,
All those things you list would be pro-American and as we all know, the Democrat party has declared America is fundamentally racist. Any and all ideas that might be good, even exercise, eating healthy or being punctual, are racist. They have to tear down everything that is America in order for them to rebuild it in their own image. Which is to say a complete and total dystopian nation. You can just look at failed Democrat cities or even the failed state of CA for what they want to bring to the rest of America.

      1. * the dems are nothing but bunk. They poke at the Republicans trying to find something they’ll actually care about.

It’s Mockery while people actually die. Their purpose is death and destruction and what survives survives. Strange psychology…

    2. hullbobby, the answer to all the “whys” is baked into “who” controls the power over what people believe the reality is. They’ve taken control of the MSM, universities, healthcare, entertainment, FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, Labor unions, pharma, CDC, etc. Demoralizing (Bezmenov) the American people has been the controlling regime’s project for 60 years. With all that in place, they’ve leveraged the Democratic party to seize the final piece of total power. In 1980, that wasn’t the case. The two political parties were dealing with an electorate largely living in reality. The choice was an easy one. Today, Republicans are still campaigning like they have the same electorate. After all, in reality, this election should be a layup for them. Democrats on the other hand are campaigning on a different reality, one the controlling regime has carefully crafted.

  9. When I lived in Germany near Mannheim in 1954-1956, my father, a veteran of the breakout from Normandy, the Liberation of Paris, the Hurtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, insisted that we take a trip to a facility not to far from Mannheim. It was the site of a smaller death camp. I will never forget that day. He wanted us to understand why he had fought in that war and risked his life. The are many things I don’t remember about living in Germany but that particular day remains crystal clear. It was horrific to walk inside the facility and see all the flags of the prisoners and thousand of pictures of the same people. Especially horrifying were the ovens. When we asked why they had ovens there, my Father told us exactly what they were for in explicit language. It was far more than disturbing and obviously I never forgot, which was his intent.
We had a great deal of difficulty understanding the evil that permeated that place or the people that ran it.
The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (appointed by the British in 1921 and remaining in office until 1948) was a notorious anti semite and spent nearly the entirety of WW2 in Berlin and had a strong hand in helping Hitler design and run his Final Solution. As far as I am concerned Hamas and Hezbullah are the grandchildren of that movement and the Democrats have allied themselves to a persistent and pervasive evil.
They are definitely not the Party of JFK and LBJ or even Harry Truman, who overruled the state dept to recognize the new state of Israel. And also ordered the integration of the armed forces.
It is difficult to see a political party in the US align themselves to this evil. Of course this was the same party that supported slavery, imposed Jim Crow in the south, purged the federal work force of black Americans and supported the KKK (in the 1920’s) and some later.
I’m glad I left them in the 1970’s.

    1. George Santayana’s entreaty is well known. What is not is the historical knowledge and perspective to heed it. The ‘street interviews’ often seen reflect the pathetic knowledge base of the electorate. Hence, the choices they make are of no surprise.

    2. * just say it.

From the river to the sea palestine shall be free.

Adolph one more time. He simply changed his dress. It’s genocide of the Jewish people one more time.

Millions should have descended upon Chicago and pushed the protesters allowed by the city right down the street and kept on going.

Christianity finds Islam odious. Because of the law American Christians are tolerant. Don’t mistake it for any kind of acceptance.

    3. GEB, thank you for your fine understanding of history and for your ability to present it calmly to the group.

  10. The Jewish community need to open their eyes, see not only what the Democrats say, but what they do. The Democrats proclaim they stand with the Jewish community and Israel but their actions say something totally different.

  11. Democrats are gathered in the Chicago United Center.

It is surrounded by fencing to protect them.

An ID is required to enter.

The event is powered by the coal and natural gas energy they want to destroy.

Democrats are being protected by the police they want to defund.

Surrounded by walls of protection they don’t want at our border.

Posting on free speech platforms they want to censor for the rest of us.

    Hypocrites.

    Obamas hate the Bidens.

    Bidens hate Obamas.

    Kamala Harris hates Bidens.

    Bidens hate Harris.

    Clintons hate the Obamas.

    Bidens hate the Clintons.

    Harris outsmarted Obamas.

They all stabbed Joe in the back.

They all hate Israel and Jews.

They say they “bring the Joy”

While speech after speech is full of hate, full of lies, bashing Trump endlessly.

They have NO policies to help the country or the actual voters.

They act like THEY have not been in power the past 4 years.

They are all government-corruption beneficiaries worth millions from their “life of service”.

Service to the country? Or their net worth?

    Who votes for these frauds?

    1. “While speech after speech is full of hate, full of lies, bashing Trump endlessly.”

No mention that former President Trump was shot in the head just one month ago, nearly assassinated, as they continue spewing dangerous, reckless rhetoric and lies.

      These are not good people.

    2. Anonymous 8:04 am- That pretty much says it all. There is a lot of hate up there and many of the speech’s are quite hateful. Not to mention that they keep saying the same old lies even when they have been debunked. I guess we do live in a country where the accusation is the important thing, not whether there are any facts to support it.
There has been so much hate speech up in Chicago that it might trigger the alarms over in the EU and one wonders if they will have to block all of the videos coming out of Chicago so as not harm the tender ears of the EU and UK governments.

        1. Anonymous11:05AM-it’s a 24 hour a day world. You sleep when you can but be careful, you really might miss something.

    3. Anonymous, your comment is too good for you to remain “Anonymous”. Please create a name so we won’t ski past any future comments you make.

      1. How about don’t be biased against Anonymous, and take each comment for what it is?

      2. @hullbobby

Agreed. Pick an alias, Anon. You contribute something worthwhile without fail, I benefit from your presence, and it often gets lost in the noise.

          1. @Anon

Not possible when the other Anonymi will spend an entire page responding to themselves. I fail to see how one could not remain anonymous with an alias. It’s six and half dozen, but to each their own.

      3. I agree with you, hullbobby. His/her comment was one that is so true that it is frightening that people are supporting them and their viewpoints.

      1. P. S. I’d like to think that this trend will be reversed in 2024, but unfortunately I’m skeptical that will be the case.

      2. @ Ragnar: Behind the security gates of the community I live in is a population reflective of your comments. I caution them, “go ahead, vote as you have been. Turn the state blue. When they come to seize the multiple housing units on the other side of the highway, house migrants there causing your home values to crash, and keep you awake a night, remember this conversation.

      3. Ragnar, one should ask themselves what a Jew is: A person born to a Jewish mother. That doesn’t mean Jewish identity. The atheist Jews, as one sees on this blog, are mostly leftist to the core. They do not represent the Jewish identity. On the contrary, many hate themselves, though they will vociferously reject what is true.

Many secular Jews will still maintain a relationship with their local Temple. Still, one will note that Reform and Conservative Synagogues are more inclined toward leftism, while Orthodox Synagogues and the Chabad are more inclined against leftism.

  12. My comments are always one dimensional with the professor. I know you are not a name caller. But the party that used to be yours – I don’t know if you still consider it so – have literally become fascists. It j has spread all over Western civilization and it must be called out. Names are important when they are real.

  13. Yet the majority of Jewish people will still vote democratic. I never could understand how Jews and Catholics would overwhelmingly vote democratic when the democratic platform is so anti Jewish and such a contrast to the beliefs of the Catholic Church.

    1. @Starride – My feelings exactly. You would hope that any vote cast for democrats not one would be from the Jewish community. It’s interesting how people interviewed during the Dem pep rally are unhappy with the crime, economy, food prices, gas prices, their kids education, inability to purchase a home and the international conflicts but will still vote democrat. Maybe as a radio personality put it “they’re illiterate and ignorant”?

  14. Killing perfectly innocent preborn children – engaging in child sacrifice rituals – at their political convention is perfectly on point for Democrats.

We know Democrats have hated white Christian men for decades now. Sorta surprised they’ve decided to making hating Jews part of their program given how much money rich far left Jews donate to Democrats. Oh well, they’ve attached a COEXIST bumper sticker onto the car they plan to outlaw soon. So there’s that.

  15. JFK would be appalled at the violent swing to the Left of his Democrat Party. And who could have foreseen that the completely unlikable Lori Lightfoot would be replaced by a guy much more radical than her? Chicago/Illinois politics illustrate how awful it gets when the Left locks onto unassailable power.

    1. Not only JFK but H Humphrey, Scoop Jackson, Sam Nunn, Bill Clinton (if he would be honest for a minute), Hilary Clinton (see Bill), former Joe Biden, candidate Obama, SENATOR Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, Mario Cuomo, Joe Manchin or any Democrat from before 2016.

Reagan used to say that he didn’t leave the party, the party left him. The current Democrat party is the party of Pramila Jayapal, AOC, Liz Warren and weak followers like Schumer, Swalwell and Dan Goldman.

      1. It is wrong to include Obama’s and Clinton’s in this list. They are the powers behind the scenes, wedded to Saul Alinsky’s ideas and the destruction of these United States. They are the true Marxists and traitors to our country.

        1. Yes, I forgot to include that festering f-stick on my list of exceptions. It’s quite possible that there are no true exceptions, just those mistakenly perceived by some to be “less evil”…

      2. “H Humphrey, Scoop Jackson, Sam Nunn, Bill Clinton (if he would be honest for a minute), Hilary Clinton (see Bill), former Joe Biden, candidate Obama, SENATOR Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, Mario Cuomo, Joe Manchin or any Democrat from before 2016.”

Point taken, but I cannot completely agree with your list. A number of those politicians have no regard for anything but that which increases their power, no matter what moral crimes they must commit to achieve that. I put both Clintons into that category, along with your “former” Joe Biden – Biden’s brain went soft, but his (non-existent) scruples didn’t change. I lived in NYS for 4 years under the regime of Mario F. Cuomo, and I have no hesitation at all to claim that he was an unparalleled, power-hungry POS: sort of a male Shrillary.

      3. Hullbobby-1 would say JFK, H Humphrey, Scoop Jackson, Sam Nunn, Bill Clinton, Joe Lieberman, Mario Cuomo were real democrats of character and moderation.
Fetterman may be turning into a old style liberal but time will tell.

Manchin is simply an opportunist who suddenly remembers before an election that he lives in a conservative state.
Hilary hates Trump and will endorse anything that will bring him down.
Joe Biden-changed positions walking from one room to another and always went to where the money was.
        Al Gore!!- don’t think so

    2. Trump is effectively a JFK-style democrat. They both cater to the middle class.

The dems simply pander to the lowest of the low in order to keep power in the hands of the few.

The big change that has occurred since JFK is that the lowest of the low now know that they will never catch up to the middle class on merit, so the few dems in power simply throw bad money at the poor and use violence and lawfare against the right.

The current left is a malignant cancer that must be excised, it cannot be changed.

      1. @Neil

Agreed. And that fact shows just how deeply the modern DNC has been steeped in madness by Obama, Pelosi, et. al. This convention and the events leading up to it positively *reek* of their particular brand of vileness with intent.

  16. Jews are in an abusive relationship with the Democratic Party. No matter how much they’re mistreated, they’re not going to leave. And the Democrats know it, so they’re going after the Muslim vote, which is sizable and growing, especially in Michigan. It’s all about the numbers. The Biden-Harris administration has also prioritized catering to Hispanic migrants over black Americans, because Hispanics are the largest ethnic group in the U.S. and growing by the day. But so long as they’re willing to be crapped on, why should anyone care, or respect either group?

    1. TIN-Hispanics are a very large and diverse group of people and have different cultures and accents similar to English speaking cultures. Best not to lump them all together. Hispanics from Cuba and Dominican Republic are very different from Mexican Hispanics in Texas, or New Mexico and also very different from California. They tend to be very conservative in many areas, very religious and family oriented, and (speaking as a physician) they tend to be some of the best and most grateful people to work with. I always treasured my Hispanic patients. And they most definitely make up their own minds.

      1. GEB,
I would add, those Hispanics who came to this country legally, are not on board with the Biden/Harris illegals.

  17. The irony is not only that the Jewish groups were denied a permit to march in Chicago during the DNC, but that — as a bloc — American Jews continue to vote Democrat. Eyes wide shut once again.

    1. Jewish groups were denied a permit for the same reason courts refused to hear election fraud cases in 2020: fear of Leftist violence.

I am not a fan of Israel, it has too much influence in US policymaking. WTF do you think was Epstein’s job? – and I’m not a fan of endless killing – but when I see the Arafatesque headscarves marching and rioting in my country I have to say I support Israel’s right to secure itself.

The Left in the US has been taking over institutions and subverting our nation, brainwashing our children for decades. They feel right and moral in their legalistic, soft revolution, as if their methods are legitimate and therefore should not an cannot be justifiably opposed. At some point good people who just want to live their lives will say NO and it will be the Left’s turn to feel a fear that they never imagined could be. Their little armies of Antifa, BLM, LGBTQ militants, and illegals will fall like grass before a scythe.

      1. * the line in the sand

People continue to lend ears to the dims while they hurt , mutilate, punish, confuse, murder and traffic your CHILDREN.

        It’s difficult to have empathy.

      2. “I am not a fan of Israel, it has too much influence in US policymaking. “

Oldfish, apparently, this is not based on what we are seeing. The American people have a favorable view of Israel, something the State Department disagrees with.

Thank you for trying to be fair.

        1. S Meyer-The state dept has never been pro Israel. As far back as the FDR administration. Truman over ruled the state dept to recognize Israel. The state dept was almost unanimous in being against recognition. Who made up the state dept in those days and ever since, old scions from the northeastern elite. Not a lot of Jewish members in those groups. Not a lot of upper class love for Israel in other parts of the US either. Just listen to the conversations in parties when people think you’re just another member WASP. It will curl your hair. One reason I never ever joined country clubs. Sort of a casual, off handed anti-simetism. Disgusting.

          1. All one has to do is go to Palm Beach, where JFK’s “Southern Whitehouse” existed. The exclusive country club excluded Jews and Catholics. The Kennedys were excluded as well. Ted Kennedy was proud of his stance for equality no matter the race, but a black visiting or maintaining the Kennedy mansion had to carry a card to prove he was permitted on Palm Beach Island. (Note: Mar a Lago is open to all religions and races.)

          2. One more note: it is my belief and the belief of many others that GWB forced the Israelis out of the Philadelphia Corridor. That is the lane existing between Gaza and Egypt. That is where tunnels were built into Egypt so that Gaza could smuggle in weapons to destroy Israel.

Kissinger, of Jewish origin, prohibited weapons bought by Israel to be shipped during the ’66 war.
When the Israeli army was approaching Damascus and Cairo, the US stopped Israel from going forward and prevented a lasting peace agreement to end the continuous wars.

Donald Kagan wrote a book about five different wars throughout history. I learned from the book that to end war, one needs to have total victory. The US failed to permit an end to the Middle East Wars. Oil was the predominant force behind US actions. People fail to realize that acts of strength stop wars. For almost 75 years, American Presidents were unable to move the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem. Trump did that amidst the fears it would cause a war, but instead, it opened the doors to peace.

The solution to the Middle East problems is a total victory for Israel over Hamas and Hezbollah. For peace in the entire area, we need Trump to starve Iran and remove the possibility of building nuclear warheads and regime change by the Iranian people.

        2. S. Meyer – I guess it all depends on how long a window you average over. I based that statement on 40+ years of watching the ME shitshow. If we limit observations to the last few years it does seems like things are unraveling just a wee bit.

Clearly the degeneration is by design, Spectre can’t rule the world while there are still areas that can protect themselves.

The bad guys won’t stop until we stack ’em up like cordwood. Buzzards gotta eat…

          1. Oldfish, I am not sure of what that 40-year view means. The sh1tshow has been going on for about 75 years, during which time many different permutations and combinations were offered for solutions. Still, it seems the ultimate goal of the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel crowd will not accept anything but the destruction of Israel and the killing of all the Jews.

Instead of dealing with the situation sensibly, it seems our state department only considered oil and the number of lives, finding that on both counts, Israel and the Jews were expendable. GEB mentioned the exceptions, but those were the Presidents, not the state department, and they owe their office to the votes of the American people.

            1. I haven’t seen 75 years of it:)

I meant that it appeared to me that Israel has generally been treated well by the US, even when, I thought, policy was unrelated to the well-being of the US. It has never been a huge burden and I’m relatively neutral on Israel.

In Israel’s favor: their neighbors are, for the most part, not members of my good guys list.

              1. @Oldfish: As stated above, I believe Jews have been treated well in the US despite the fact my mother had to change her last name to get a job and my wife was denied a job because she was Jewish. No one murdered them, and no one stopped them from being employed elsewhere.

My wife was immediately hired by another international firm and given an executive position in charge of many men, where she was the only woman and Jew. I had no problems, but for the most part, I was in an employer’s position.

The US government is split. The State Department has not been friendly to Israel, and the US government’s behavior prevented a peace settlement starting ~75 years ago by not letting Israel be declared the winner of multiple wars. One needs a winner to get a satisfactory peace agreement.

The US government has a problem recognizing that, according to international law, Israel is legally and morally sovereign over the lands of Israel and the West Bank. Oil seems to be more important than the law. All Israel wanted was to live in peace on a speck of land without oil and little arable land.

Israel was willing to give up land for peace, but the Arab leaders of the area wanted to follow the Nazi lover, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and wipe out all Jews. That is proven by the words of the Hamas Covenent.

My family and Israel survived and prospered without much outside help. I love all who do not murder, even those who discriminate against my family.
