Below is my column in The Hill on the Musk mania now sweeping over the media with pundits and politicians unleashing unhinged attacks on the billionaire. In an Age of Rage, Musk is now eclipsing Donald Trump as Public Enemy No. 1. It began with his stance against censorship.
Here is the column:
This week, Elton John publicly renounced the Rocket Man — no, not the 1972 song, but Elon Musk, whom he called an “a**hole” in an awards ceremony.
Sir Elton, 77, is only the latest among celebrities and pundits to denounce Musk for his support of former president Donald Trump and his opposition to censorship. Musk-mania is so overwhelming that some are calling for his arrest, deportation and debarment from federal contracts.
This week, the California Coastal Commission rejected a request from the Air Force for additional launches from Vandenberg Air Force Base. It is not because the military agency did not need the launches. It was not because the nation and the community would not benefit from them. Rather, it was reportedly because, according to one commissioner, Musk has “aggressively injected himself into the presidential race.”
By a 6-4 vote, the California Coastal Commission rejected the military’s plan to let SpaceX launch up to 50 rockets per year from the base in Santa Barbara County.
Musk’s SpaceX is becoming a critical part of national security programs. It will even be launching a rescue mission for two astronauts stranded in space. The advances of SpaceX under Musk are legendary. The Air Force wanted to waive the requirement for separate permits for SpaceX in carrying out these critical missions.
To the disappointment of many, SpaceX is now valued at over $200 billion and just signed a new $1 billion contract with NASA. Yet neither the national security value nor the demands for SpaceX services appear to hold much interest for officials like Commissioner Gretchen Newsom (no relation to California’s governor, Gavin Newsom): “Elon Musk is hopping about the country, spewing and tweeting political falsehoods and attacking FEMA while claiming his desire to help the hurricane victims with free Starlink access to the internet.”
Newsom is the former political director for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 569. It did not seem to matter to her that increased launches meant more work for electrical workers and others. Rather, it’s all about politics.
Commission Chair Caryl Hart added “here we’re dealing with a company, the head of which has aggressively injected himself into the presidential race and he’s managed a company in a way that was just described by Commissioner Newsom that I find to be very disturbing.”
In my book “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage,” I discuss how Musk became persona non grata when he bought Twitter and announced that he was dismantling the company’s massive censorship apparatus.
He then outraged many on the left by releasing the Twitter Files, showing the extensive coordination of the company with the government in a censorship system described by a federal court as “Orwellian.”
After the purchase, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton called upon Europeans to force Musk to censor her fellow Americans under the notorious Digital Services Act. Clinton has even suggested the arrest of those responsible for views that she considers disinformation.
Silicon Valley investor Roger McNamee called for Musk’s arrest and said that, as a condition of getting government contracts, officials should “require him to moderate his speech in the interest of national security.”
Former Clinton Secretary of Labor Robert Reich wants Musk arrested for simply refusing to censor other people.
Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann called for Musk to be deported and all federal contracts cancelled with this company. As with many in the “Save Democracy” movement, Olbermann was unconcerned with the denial of free speech or constitutional protections. “If we can’t do that by conventional means, President Biden, you have presidential immunity. Get Elon Musk the F out of our country and do it now.”
Of course, none of these figures are even slightly bothered about other business leaders with political opinions, so long as, like McNamee, they are supporting Harris or at least denouncing Trump. Musk has failed to yield to a movement infamous for cancel campaigns and coercion. The usual alliance of media, academia, government and corporate forces hit Musk, his companies and even advertisers on X.
Other corporate officials collapsed like a house of cards to demands for censorship — see, for example, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. Musk, in contrast, responded by courageously releasing the Twitter Files and exposing the largest censorship system in our history.
That is why I describe Musk as arguably the single most important figure in this generation in defense of free speech. The intense hatred for Musk is due to the fact that he was the immovable object in the path of their formerly unstoppable force.
The left will now kill jobs, cancel national security programs and gut the Constitution in its unrelenting campaign to get Musk. His very existence undermines the power of the anti-free speech movement. In a culture of groupthink, Musk is viewed as a type of free-thought contagion that must be eliminated.
Their frustration became anger, which became rage. As Elton John put it in “Rocket Man,” he was supposed to be “burning out his fuse up here alone.”
Yet, here he remains.
George Bernard Shaw once said “a reasonable man adjusts himself to the world. An unreasonable man expects the world to adjust itself to him. Therefore, all progress is made by unreasonable people.”
With all of his idiosyncrasies and eccentricities, Elon Musk just might be that brilliantly unreasonable person.
Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University and the author of “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.”
CBS tells its staff they may not acknowledge which of these geographical facts:
A. London is in England
B. Paris is in France
C. Berlin is in Germany
D. Jerusalem is in Israel
E. Moscow is in Russia
I think you can guess. Jew hatred makes people irrational. It’s the one thing the extreme left and extreme right agree on. It is a spiritual evil that infects men and women and corrupts their hearts, minds, and souls.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/gantz-blasts-reported-cbs-news-refusal-to-say-jerusalem-is-in-israel-the-eternal-capital-of-the-jewish-people/
* There is the historical record of Christ in Jerusalem and the temple of King David. Mohammed wasn’t born for another 500 years and other accounts born 1500 years later.
Yes, Jerusalem is in Israel as the Jewish Homeland. Indisputable.
* Jewish people have always been Jewish unlike Iran whose god was ahura Mazda.
The Aunt Pittypat hysterics from the Left are so over-the-top ridiculous and nauseating. Enough already with the disturbing drama.
Seek help, you morons!!
There’s a tremendous amount of mental illness and spiritual sickness on the left.
“Desperation: Kamala Harris Schedules Wednesday Fox News Interview”
“Harris agreed to an interview with anchor Bret Baier in Pennsylvania. The interview will air Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Eastern.”
– Breitbart
Bret Baier is the equivalent of Mr. Liz Cheney.
Will Baier be assisted by Comrade Neil Cavuto?
THIS IS CNN!
This will be some fantastic RINO softball action.
“KAMALA HARRIS COPIED VIRTUALLY AN ENTIRE WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE”
Will Comrade Bret Baier ask Camel “Nose Under The Tent” Harris about her plagiarism?
Nolte – Famed ‘Plagiarism Hunter’ Busts Kamala Harris Book: ‘Copied Virtually an Entire Wikipedia Article,’ ‘Fabricated a Source Reference’
Dr. Stefan Weber, an internationally famous “plagiarism hunter,” has discovered that Kamala Harris “plagiarized at least a dozen sections of her criminal justice book, Smart on Crime.”
– John Nolte
I have never seen or heard Professor Turley use the comrade label on anyone so I am sure he would not appreciate its use for his Fox colleagues Bair and Cavuto.
Would you believer a super-RINO and Never Trumper label?
Oh, by the way, may I start a Never Obama and a Never Camel “Nose Under The Tent” Harris movement right here?
Bair and the whole Fox stable doesn’t “Know The Enemy” and doesn’t know its in a war to the end.
This is where all the fools who have blindly believed over the years that the Murdoch Empire had moral and ethical scruples beyond (other) MSM outlets, and supported their side of the political spectrum (for reasons beyond the ratings boosts that result from controversy and niche marketing) get their clear comeuppance. Unfortunate, because that erroneous belief could potentially lead to a boost for Harris at a critical juncture if there is a general public perception that Fox represents the Right, and she appears to do well in the interview.
The New York Times admitted Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris had plagiarized multiple passages in her 2009 book, Smart on Crime, but claimed that the copying was “not serious” and a small portion of the whole book.
So are you saying you welcome USF’s and Traveler’s comments?
Maybe if the Musk haters are lucky the rescue will fail, and everyone will die.
That is what they are hoping for because that is the kind of people they are.
* Correct. The thrill is in Musk failing no matter the lives lost. It’s all emotion and not reason. Reason is the ability to discern right and wrong. Envy is an emotion.
* That’s not saying Musk is a moral man. He supports freedom of speech on the other hand and free enterprise apparently.
Musk is worth more to the nation than the whole state of California.
* I’ve heard the calif southern border is open. No passports etc so Californians can drive to Mexico and buy supplies at a lesser price while everyone else is storing their buckets of emergency food.
What I heard …

What the USA doesn’t like: immigrants, migrants, unions, blacks, non English speakers, any religion not protestant, criminals, sinners, perversions, troublemakers, public employees, anyone having ever accepted public assisstance, atheists and more… anything, group or person that lowers the assets as a positive dollar asset yourself or ancestors…
Lord of the flies…
And people like you.
😂 which are you?
You are wrong, of course, but I’ll bet you hate everyone not on your list.
* you’d lose
* quite a show…
* People not on the list have never been seen in this tiny world and never will be.
Why would anyone waste life in hate.
What the USA doesn’t like:
Hillary… for God’s sakes… just use your name when you post. It’s not like it’s become toxic or anything like that.
* I don’t know how to create an account. Live free.
* Yes, correct. She’s on the list in several areas.
The USA doesn’t like the global leeches and parasites who:
– Covet America’s success and prosperity
– Bear False Witness about their “fake” “asylum” supplications
– Steal America’s wealth
That is not I speaking.
That is God dictating the Ten Commandments.
Uh… The Code of Hammurabi was the foundation for the Ten C’s.
Many more immovable objects are needed if the heretofore irresistible force of illiberal progressivism is to be held in check. For as long as it takes until it withers away from its inbred contamination on the toxic vine of its heinous existence.

Dennis, Gigi And The Rest Of My Anonymous Democrat Useful Idiots And Trolls Are Losing Their Minds Over Elon Musk (and me)!
That headline would have worked just as well, Professor Turley.
You first name basis “friend” Dennis McIntyre is REALLY going to spank you for daring to write this column!
Right before launching today’s version of HIS blog: BBBBBUUUUTTTTT…. MUH TRUMP!!!!! BBBBUUUTTTTT… MUH JD VANCE!!!!!!!
“82nd Lil Bow Wow,” what were your MOS, Awards, Campaign, and Theater, or is your “Airborne” valor stolen?
Did you learn those words from a Navy Grindr date, little Grindr bum boy? The Navy that runs on beer, bum, and buggery that you’re a Bachi Boy for?
You have any of those of your own to list to go along with your insinuations? Or is it all just pillow talk you heard before your date leaves in the morning?
“82nd Lil Bow Wow,” what were your MOS, Awards, Campaign, and Theater, or is your “Airborne” valor stolen?
My only comment is Mussolini was Mr. Shaw’s hero.
Good one. The idea that progress is made men who expect the world to adjust to them is facially absurd. Quoting that kind of pablum in an article like this only detracts from the otherwise more serious point being made.
One further irony is that this article uses the phrase to describe Elon Musk whose achievements are based upon his understanding that the opposite is true . . . such as in this clip from 13 years ago when he was talking about SpaceX’s plan for a reusable orbit class rocket. He says it will be very difficult and that nonetheless their simulations suggest it is possible, but that the simulations may be off, and when simulations and reality disagree, “reality wins.”

Yet more censorship from leftists in government:

This communist should be arrested for anti-American activities, election interference, denial of constitutional rights, violations of statutory and fundamental laws, traitorous acts et al.
Turley– “That is why I describe Musk as arguably the single most important figure in this generation in defense of free speech. ”
Perhaps, too, the single most important figure in this generation, period.
He surpasses the heroes of science fiction stories I devoured as a kid.
“Mr. Merit” lands his space rocket perfectly every time going backwards.
* Musk is a private businessman? It took a private business to oppose an errant government. That’s a big clue as to whom has a thumb on the government. The government currently are mere lackeys. It isn’t a government of the “people”. It was done with trillions of American money, counterfeit now.
Here is an excerpt from a piece written by David Corn, published in “Mother Jones”, dateline 10/9/2024:
“Every once in a while, it’s good to take a hard look at a particular lie of the many spewed by a narcissistic, dangerous, demagogic, and hate-feeding billionaire who has tremendous influence over the national political discussion. Of course, I’m talking about Elon Musk.
Musk literally jumped the shark this past weekend (see above) when he appeared with Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of the July assassination attempt on the GOP nominee. Musk leaped about like a jester and fear-mongered when he got his time at the microphone. He falsely proclaimed of the Democrats, “The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote, effectively.” And he darkly warned that if Trump doesn’t win, “this will be the last election.”
Over the past year, Musk has slipped increasingly into the fever swamp of MAGAland and become a record-setting purveyor of disinformation (while also amplifying racist, misogynistic, and antisemitic posts). It’s even possible that he’s responsible for more false messages on social media than Trump. (Musk has zapped out numerous posts on X claiming Democrats are bringing illegal immigrants into the United States so these migrants can vote for the Ds—a baseless conspiracy theory.) A study conducted by the Center for Countering Digital Hate found that in the first seven months of 2024, Musk’s false or misleading claims about the US election generated 1.2 billion views. “Elon Musk is abusing his privileged position as owner of a small, but politically influential, social media platform to sow disinformation that generates discord and distrust,” said Imran Ahmed, the center’s CEO. (In March, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit Musk had brought against the center that blamed it for the loss of tens of millions of dollars in ad revenue after the center reported on the rise of hate speech and misinformation on X.) Last week, the New York Times reported that of 171 posts Musk put up on X in a recent five-day period, almost a third were false or misleading. These phony-baloney posts were viewed more than 800 million times.
I believe it remains important to explore how Musk concocts his lies, and one just happened to catch my attention a few days ago. I decided to dig in.
With all the lies and crap that Musk hurls at X users—and that the site’s algorithm seems to highlight—how can one pick a single falsehood to examine? And why even bother? Well, I believe it remains important to explore how Musk concocts his lies, and one just happened to catch my attention a few days ago. I decided to dig in.
On September 30, Musk tweeted that John Kerry, the former US senator and secretary of state, “wants to violate the Constitution.” Within a week, this post had received 19.2 million views. It included a clip of Kerry, who until this year served as a special climate change envoy for President Joe Biden, speaking recently at a panel on climate change at the World Economic Forum. John Kerry explicitly saying he aims to undermine the US Constitution? Really? How so?
I recalled I had recently seen that Matt Taibbi, the once Musk-friendly, lefty-turned-right journalist, had mounted a similar attack on Kerry. The day before Musk threw up this tweet, Taibbi had appeared as a speaker at the so-called “Rescue the Republic Rally” in Washington, DC, which featured a roster of fringe-ish dead-enders, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Russell Brand (the onetime actor who has been accused of sexual assault—charges he has denied), Jordan Peterson (a manosphere influencer), and former Saturday Night Live not-so-funny-man Rob Schneider. The Wall Street Journal called it the “Coalition of the Weird.”
At this shindig, Taibbi slammed Kerry:
Disagreement is seen as threat, and according to John Kerry, must be “hammered out of existence.” The former presidential candidate just complained at a World Economic Forum meeting that “it’s really hard to govern” and “our First Amendment stands as a major block” to the important work of hammering out unhealthy choices…Kerry added that it’s “really hard to build consensus,” and told Forum members they need to “win the right to govern” and “be free to implement change.” What do they need to be free of? The First Amendment.
I don’t know how much attention Musk pays to Taibbi these days—Taibbi, at Musk’s behest, produced the misleading Twitter Files falsely asserting government censorship yet then had a falling out with the boy-billionaire—but Musk picked up on this point with his tweet slamming Kerry as a foe of the Constitution. Several days later, Musk went further, tweeting, “The Democratic Party is openly stating that they want to change the Constitution to end free speech!” In this post, he referenced an article from the Daily Wire, the far-right site run by Ben Shapiro. That piece claimed Kerry had said that if Democrats win the 2024 election, they will change the First Amendment to fight disinformation.
Let’s look at what Kerry did say:
The dislike of and anguish over social media is just growning and growing and growing. It’s part of our problem, particularly in our democracies, in terms of building consensus around any issue. It’s really hard to govern today. The referees we use to have to determine what is a fact and what isn’t a fact have been eviscerated to a certain degree. People self-select where they go for their news and for their information. And then you just get into a vicious cycle. So it’s really, really hard, much harder to build consensus today than at any time in the 45, 50 years I’ve been involved in this. There’s a lot of discussion now about how do you curb those entities in order to guarantee that you’re going to have some accountability on facts, etc. But, look, if people go to only one source and the source they go to is sick and has an agenda and they’re putting out disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to just, you know, hammer it out of existence.
So what we need is to win the ground with the right to govern by hopefully winning enough votes so you’re free to be able to implement change. Now obviously there are some people in our country prepared to implement change in other ways…I think democracies are very challenged right now and have not proven they could move fast enough or big enough to deal with the challenges we are facing. And to me that is what part of this race, this election, is all about. Will we break the fever in the United States?
It’s nuts for Musk, Taibbi, or anyone else to claim that Kerry was calling for killing the First Amendment.
Read that again. Is this a call from Kerry to undo the First Amendment? He clearly was bemoaning the fact that disinformation on climate change from many sources poisons the discourse on how to meet this challenge. (At the recent vice presidential debate, JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, indicated he had no problem with Trump declaring climate change a “hoax.”) In fact, Kerry acknowledged that the First Amendment prevents the government from hammering disinformation “out of existence.” The only course of action, he said, was to win politically and achieve enough of a majority that will allow the government to take decisive action on this front (say, capturing the White House and large majorities in the House and Senate). His goal, obviously, was to change policies related to climate change, not to change the First Amendment.”
Turley is paid to defend MAGA lies, so he’s trying to sell Musk, so he makes the following claim: ” The intense hatred for Musk is due to the fact that he was the immovable object in the path of their formerly unstoppable force. The left will now kill jobs, cancel national security programs and gut the Constitution in its unrelenting campaign to get Musk. His very existence undermines the power of the anti-free speech movement. In a culture of groupthink, Musk is viewed as a type of free-thought contagion that must be eliminated.”
NO, Turley, the problem people have with Musk is the same problem many of us have with Trump–MUSK IS A POWER-HUNGRY, UNABASHED LIAR who uses his platform and celebrity to sell lies. He ss dangerous to American democracy because he, like Trump, has gotten a substantial number of gullible people to believe his lies–one of which is that Democrats are trying to take away the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. So, Turley carries water for the MAGA movement–bear in mind Rick Wilson’s warning, Turley–“Everything Trump Touches Dies”–it’s the title of his book. Look at the careers of people like Michael Cohen, Rudy Giuliani, and the other attorneys who have lost their licenses, the election official in Arizona who drew a 9-year prison sentence, and the fake electors who have been convicted of felonies.
PSYCHOTIC BLUNDERBUSS RESULTING FROM ABJECT PANIC
Gigi: Here is an excerpt from a piece written by David Corn, published in “Mother Jones”, dateline 10/9/2024:
Gigi, are you so fundamentally stupid and unaware that you should be watered once a week with the rest of the house plants?
That’s the SAME David Corn that worked with Obama’s felon Attorney Generals and FBI directors to sell you the “Russia Dossier” lie. For years. And who STILL hasn’t apologized for mainlining that Obama/Biden lie into both your brain cells.
You hoped the Democrat Memory Hole would prevent people remembering who he is and what he did to sell Obama and Biden lies? Or you actually don’t know Corn’s well known history as a propagandist for your fascist Democrat party?
Gigi… tell us why we should believe your lies and the liars whose lies you parrot? After all, you’ve shown nothing to support any suggestion that you are nothing but a childish liar in service to Soviet Democrat pathological police state fascists from Obama and then Biden on down the line.
Old Airborne Dog: what did David Corn get wrong in his analysis of Elon Musk and the lies he to ld? Attacking him is not a substantive answer. What did I lie about? Calling me a liar does not make it so.
Anonymous says: Old Airborne Dog: what did David Corn get wrong in his analysis of Elon Musk and the lies he to ld? Attacking him is not a substantive answer. What did I lie about? Calling me a liar does not make it so.
Gigi (or your alter ego “Anonymous” that you just posted your objections under)… Cosplaying that you’re an objective, fair-minded honest Anonymous truth teller instead of a pathological liar (like David Corn and Gigi have proved they are) doesn’t make that so. Given your long history here as Gigi The Fire Hose Of Lies, as well as your long history here as an Anonymous cowardly Democrat liar.
But let’s address this by pretending this Anonymous isn’t Gigi The Fire Hose Of Democrat Lies who posted that reference to David Corn. Lets instead pretend you’re just another pathetic Anonymous cowardly Democrat syncopate afraid to post under a real Username.
Convince us David Corn isn’t STILL writing his stories to tear down people who are a threat to his and your Democrat party.
Explain why David Corn is suddenly an objective, fair minded journalist after the years he helped Obama/Biden and their DoJ/FBI push their “Russia Dossier” Fire Hose Of Lies.
So far, all three of you, Corn, Gigi and Anonymous only have any credibility with the Mother Jones Marxist Democrat crowd.
All you are is stenographers and parrots serving the Soviet Democrat party.
ATS
None of us have time to read everything everyone else in the world writes.
That is the reason that we have something called credibility.
As OAD noted – Corn has lied in the past – not little lies – but gargantuan lies.
Not rarely but over and over.
Conversely Musk has a reputation for success, and I know this is really hard for you to understand – but you can succeed alittle, once by lying. No one succeeds over and over and over without establishing a reputation for trust.
I can not read every negative thing someone writes about Musk (or Trump).
If I tried to read everything published about Trump or musk in the past 24hrs I would be dead before I finish.
So I like everyone else must triage what I read.
Given the limits to my life, and therefore my time – why would I want to read the analysis of someone with a track record for dishonesty ?
But you keep posting as anonymous – which means you clearly have little understanding of the value of a reputation.
I do read what a large number of people who are critical of Trump or Musk write.
Ones who have established with me a reputation for honesty.
Most of the criticism of those people – much of which is true, does not rise to the level of picking Harris over Trump,
or beleiving that Musk (or Trump) are inveteratate liars.
if you view 1A as a “Major Block” to what you are trying to do, you are on the wrong side of history. It betrays the overarching desire of establishment creeps to control the narrative.
Drivel
Both of the Obama’s surrendered their law licenses, Bill Clinton lost his and was impeached and censured. My dear friend and mentor, a Colonel in the Pentagon for years told me if people knew how far left Kerry were they would flip. You sing the sad same story over and over as if you believe you will change a perspective. Matt Taibi has revealed the truth about the shadow government and their corruption and persecutions. These corrupt judges running these sham trials are soon going to end soon, overturned either by appeals or pardons. Where’s Hunter Biden and where’s the $30M to the Bidens? Why did Obama send cash and precious metals to Iran in a time of war when Iranian Royal Guards were actively killing American Servicemen? Why did Hillary Clinton collude with the Russians to create a fake dossier to subvert an elected president?
That’s why to vote Trump!
* The problem with your argument and it’s a good one, the USA has no border and there’s an army inside and outside.
Lessons are —> borders are primary national security issues. The USA is moving toward Venezuela or Brazil at best. It’s a churning ball of crime.
Terribly sorry…
It’s not that you don’t know anything, it’s just that everything you know is wrong.”
Hmm, I think you got us confused with someone who gives a damn what David Corn thinks about anything.
Secretary Kerry should be more careful with his phrasing if he is willing to leave the first amendment and its consequences intact. I view Kerry as frustrated with American exceptionalism and our fractious ways.
Gigi overall I see you as a pompous ass, in the mold of Kerry.
Gigi,
Musk can launch the largest rocket with the bigest payload ever into space, and then catch it on the way back with a thousand foot tall mechanical robot, all while posting 171 times in 5 days, running Twitter – yes, it is still there and not going anywhere, Running Tesla. Running Starlink, providing free communications to war torn regions like Ukraine or disaster struck regions like Florida and North Carolina. One of his less significant accomplishments is running the boring company – which is going to make tunnels everywhere easy.
Had the Biden administration not pissed off Musk in 2021, they might have called him to quickly bore a bunch of tunnels to temporarily or permanently deal with the problems caused by the collapse of the key bridge.
Musk accomplishes more before breakfast everyday than you have in entire your life.
Musk is running companies that together are worthy over a Trillion dollars.
If you have bet money on Musk you are doing incredibly well.
Tens of thousands of people owe Musk for high paying jobs.
Millions of people owe him for incredible products.
Many many may Trump supporters would ditch Trump in a minute for Musk – if he could constitutionally become president.
And Trump should not take that as an insult – losing to Musk at anything still puts you in rarified air.
Is Musk right about everything – absolutely not. No one is.
But you do not succeed to the extent that musk has without being right nearly all the time, and not only right nearly all the time,
But right when the entire world is calling you a nut.
As to alleged misinformation in Musks tweets – that was a New York Times story – the paper of record, that has still not returned the pulitzer prize it won for relentlessly false stories on the collusion delusion.
In a contest of veracity between Musk and the entire editorial staff of the NYT – Musk will win every time.
How does Kerry aim to undermine the constitution ?
The same way Obama and Biden have – by going arround the constitutional requirement that treaties with foreign nations require the approval of the Senate. And pretending an “agreement” that requires the US to change our laws – without congress ever voting to change those laws, is NOT a treaty.
This is nothing new.
It is not a new claim.
It is not a false claim.
171 posts in 5 days with 800 million views – I think New Your Times is jealous.
Regardless, that is 800 million views that seem to think that Musk is correct and NYT is wrong.
While we do not determine Truth by popular oppinion, we also do not determine Truth by NYT fact checkers or the NYT editorial board either.
Long ago Musk told as – as many before him, how we determine truth.
Truth is not an elegant theory, it is not a beautiful similiation, it is something that we can test and when we do it works in reality.
Like catching the largest rocket ever built so that it can be reused over and over again.
So that people in disaster areas – and totalitarian regimes accross the world can communicate – even in the midst of disaster or repression.
In your life have you ever done anything one trillionth as good or significant ?
The California Coastal Commission must now and finally be decommissioned and extirpated with extreme prejudice.
The California Coastal Commission has spontaneously and illegally created its own agency and power out of thin air and California mysticism.
The California Coastal Commission is unconstitutional; it has no constitutional power to deny the right to private property or to “claim and exercise” dominion over private property.
The right to private property is self-qualified and, therefore, absolute, and no further qualification is licit or constitutional.
Only the owner of private property may “claim and exercise” dominion.
The California Coastal Commission does not enjoy the power of the executive branch or the commander-in-chief and has no power over the U.S. Space Force and the DOD.
Sanctuary cities, the California Coastal Commission et al. and all other anti- and unconstitutional Acts of Rebellion must be eliminated by the next president using the very same rationale and kinetic military power as Lincoln during his “Reign of Terror.”
Sanity must be reinstated in America.
Make America Constitutional Again (MACA).

“George Bernard Shaw once said “a reasonable man adjusts himself to the world. An unreasonable man expects the world to adjust itself to him. Therefore, all progress is made by unreasonable people.””
It seems like about all we have anymore are unreasonable people. Doesn’t seem like helpful “progress”. Seems more like heedlessly hurtling towards a cliff.
That’s why you see so many Democrat “we won’t go back” signs.
Prairie Rose,
They would choose to go off the cliff, take us and the rest of the country with them then give up their quest for power.
Double dip:
I have to say, the time for asinine comments and attitudes has passed. Nobody cares, particularly the people pulling the strings. Play your intellectual game all you like, it will not matter if we don’t do something different. Even the people with right idea here need to get out of their heads/armchairs/alma maters and do something different. This is kind of serious at this point, your bloviating is an equal to the modern left’s. Really. Get off of your a**es. You do not impress posting a bunch of mind-sheet here. What are you doing out in the world?
Pretty tired of people whinging to the skies when they won’t simply take a different action over the course of their days. Find your heart, find your brain, and get your a** off the couch and away from the laptop or phone. For the BEST posters here: when was the last time you talked to a stranger?
This will be the only thing that will turn things around. Take your pomposity, and yes, you have it, and instead do something simple, like giving an actual crap for others, understanding that ‘more money’ is a useless and pitiable gesture on your part, too. You all are indeed, also, a huge part of the problem.
James,
Well, it is thirty nine, with a twenty mile an hour wind, feels like twenty nine according to the weather station. Overcast and rain this morning. Despite that, I still have to tend to the livestock. By the time I got back from the fields, soaked from the waist down.
Cannot say about the last time I spoke to a stranger of any length of time. Come winter, I can go weeks without leaving the house. Got snow in the forecast this week.
Upstate, there is honor in that work. I did that for a year in Iowa when I was 16. I would love for my 16 year old son to experience that to give him some perspective.
I formed a 501c3 Christian nonprofit to assist houses of worship in identifying security vulnerabilities to apply for the DHS Nonprofit Security Grant Program. We do what we can, where we can. And in the process we can make a real difference.
@Upstate
I hear you. I have also been that person fighting against the wind, so to speak. That’s what galls me about all of this: how bored/misguided/useless and privileged does one even have to be to even have the time to sit around all day being a troll? Just the method is very revealing. In 2024 one would have to be mighty privileged to even have the time to spare.
And incidentally, where I came from, spring winds were very normally upward of 80. No, it was not fun. But it was something we knew and prepared for. I look at Britain bracing for ’75 mph winds’ and laugh my little behind off.
Elon Musk immigrated to the USA for the freedoms and guarantee of protections of those freedoms by our Constitution.
We see which party is against the American dream by looking at what they’re trying to do to a real dreamer.
@Jack
That’s the thing: to the modern DNC, a ‘real dreamer’ somehow doing better than them is cognitive dissidence in the extreme. They were *supposed* to just mow their lawn and shut up. To the idiotic brains, of said people, this is problem to solve (it isn’t a problem. it is people in a free country saying, ‘F*** off.’. There is nothing human or rational remaining there on the left.
Elon Musk immigrated to the USA for the freedoms and guarantee of protections of those freedoms by our Constitution.
Wrong. Elon Musk has the same birthright citizenship as John McCain, Ted Cruz, Americans born to an American solider father stationed in Europe, South Korea, etc – he was born to American parent(s).
He voluntarily chose to move to the USA – he didn’t immigrate here.
And there’s more than a few other countries who would welcome him and his incredible economic wealth and power and assure him that he wouldn’t have to deal with the vicious police state fascist headhunting he’s enduring here in the USA because he’s outraged one of the political powers.
Being willing to put up with that while his wealth and economic clout pretty much guarantees him the ability to live in whatever country he wants to makes him more American than at least half of today’s American citizens who now hate him.
OAD I am sorry to say – Musk was born in South Africa – his mother was canadian, his father south african.
He was able to go to Canada by virtue of his mothers canadian citizenship, And he eventually immigrated tot he US, sought and received US citizenship.
Under very specific circumstances children born of US parents in a foreign country are Birth Right citizens of the US.
Generally if one of your parents is a US citizen and they are in a foriegn country serving the US government, you qualify for birthright citizenship. If one of your parents is a US citizen not working for the government, you will be able to request and likely get citizenship.
In fact since 2000 if you are a foreign born child and you are adopted by a US parent you are automatically a US Citizen – but by working of the law, NOT by birthright, i.e. you need not apply for citizenship (though the DHS thinks otherwise), you can just ask for a US passport, you need not be naturalized. But you are still not a birth right citizen and you can not become president (or VP).
George constantly rants about this – He is correct that you must be a birth right citizen – jus soli
But he is wrong about the requirements for birthright citizenship. All that is required is being born in the US with parents that are NOT here serving a foreign country, or being born of US parents serving the US in a foreign country.
It’s because he’s African-American. That said, liberalism is a philosophy of divergence. #PrinciplesMatter
This should help Trump in Nevada:

May I recommend a dose of reality. I appreciate your desire to win. You are going to be crushed and disappointed when the American Communist Deep Deep State “Swamp” Regime Blob ensconces Camel “Nose Under The Tent” Obama/Harris in the office of the president on November 5.
The American Communist Deep Deep State “Swamp” Regime Blob is determined and resolved, unlike patriotic conservative actual Americans, to win at any cost.
They gather every parasite in the world and bring them here to vote for “free stuff” and “free status”; what third world, s—-hole country denizen wouldn’t do that?
The American Communist Deep Deep State “Swamp” Regime Blob elected Lyndon Baines Johnson president on November 22, 1963, a few months before Johnson was to be issued a one-way ticket to prison (two birds with one stone).
The American Communist Deep Deep State “Swamp” Regime Blob elected Richard Nixon on June 6, 1968.
…if Trump had not turned his head…
They mean business.
And your side doesn’t.
May I recommend a dose of reality.
While making the deliberate choice to advance your “dose” without a Username, just “Anonymous”?
Well you can recommend anything – but I recommend you consider that using “Anonymous” isn’t going to get you much attention or win anyone over.
Even Dennis McIntyre, Gigi, et al have the spine to post under a Username.
I recall once the good professor made a comment in the comments section. When he does, his avatar is a picture of himself. The same that is displayed on his blog.
That’s correct Upstate. JT has a paragraph in his Civility Rule that addresses these sorts:
Like all sites, we attract trolls and juvenile posters who want to tear down the work of others. It is a sad reality of the Internet and the worst element of our species. Don’t feed the trolls. Ignore them. They are trolls and live under cyber bridges for a reason.
