“WE ARE AT WAR!”: Democrats Ramp Up Rage Rhetoric as Tensions Mount Across the Country

Democratic leaders continued to ramp up their “rage rhetoricfollowing the inauguration. We have already seen violent protests and planned assassinations directed against Trump Administration figures. Despite the growing tensions, Democrats are ratcheting up claims of a “coup” and calling for Democrats to “fight in the streets.”  After failing to win the election with claims that Democracy would die if Trump is elected, Democrats are doubling down on rage politics to try to win over the public. The difference is that they are now focusing on Elon Musk rather than Donald Trump.

Many of those fueling the anger are familiar names.  Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D, Mass.) declared “Elon Musk is seizing the power that belongs to the American people.” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D, Md.) claimed on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that Musk and Trump were conducting a “rapidly expanding and accelerating coup.”

Sen. Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) appeared to be working off the same talking point and declared that a “coup” was being carried out.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) warned that Musk was “taking away everything we have.”

Despite voting to impeach Trump for calling for his supporters to “fight” against his opponents (while adding to do so “peacefully”), many used the same rhetoric to spur the left to action.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Cal.) said “We are here to fight back.” Sen. Cory Booker (D., NJ) called on citizens to “fight” and declared “We will rise up.”

Not to be outdone in the rage fest, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., TX) yelled, “We are gonna be in your face, we are gonna be on your a–es, and we are going to make sure you understand what democracy looks like, and this ain’t it.”

Rep. LaMonica McIver (D., N.J.) added: “God d—it shut down the Senate!…WE ARE AT WAR!”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., called for Democrats to fight  “in the streets.”

In my recent book, I discuss the role of rage rhetoric in our politics extending back to the very beginning of the Republic:

“Just as a desire for free expression is quintessentially human, so is rage. As shown throughout our history, rage is addictive. It bestows a certain license to shed the confining expectations of reason and civility. … At times, our politics seem like a collective primal scream session where only the loudest prevail. Yet, for some, the license to rage goes beyond the amplification of their own views and becomes a demand for the silencing of others.”

Worse yet, it can inspire unhinged citizens who actually believe that this is a war against a coup. That relieves some of any qualms about taking violent action. It is the type of rhetoric that can prompt anti-Republican Nicholas John Roske to try to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh or Sanders supporter James T. Hodgkinson to try to massacre Republican members playing softball.

I still oppose those calling for investigations into such rage rhetoric despite my strong disagreement with these figures. The solution to bad speech is still better speech. The hypocrisy of these leaders is hardly surprising in an age of rage. However, “the rage is not what defines us. It is free speech that defines us.”

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro professor of public interest law at George Washington University and the author of “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.”

  1. I have a problem. My wife of 50+ years is a fervent democrat, and I am not. When we first met, we were university students, young and still somewhat naive in the ways of the world. I grew out of it….she kinda didn’t. But our differences didn’t become obvious until our kids had families of their own, and then DJT beat Hillary — We’re too old to argue politics — I’ve given up thinking I can get her to see the light.

    I wonder how many married couples from the baby boomer generation are facing the same situation?
    I’ll wager that more than a few of ‘us’ pulled the lever for DJT in 2024 while telling our wives we voted for the dem. candidate.

  2. “No one elected Musk,” squeals the Left.

    No one elected KH. Yet there she was.

    Why is it that the Left can appoint whoever they want to hold power. Yet the Right cannot do the same.

    In the face of such an absurdity, don’t ask its meaning. (That’s obvious. It’s absurd.) Ask, instead: What is the absurdity intended to accomplish?

    Here, the absurdity is a desire to achieve at least four things:

    1) To “get Trump,” by smearing Musk (and his team)

    2) To protect their cherished welfare state (which fuels Leftist propaganda around the world, and Leftist cronies)

    3) To protect their grifting and the grifting of their friends, aka “domestic contractors”

    4) As a preemptive strike against their corruption being exposed, as in: “Sure, Politico and the BBC received USAID [i.e., American taxpayer] funding. Sure, we ran stories that smeared Trump and propped up Biden. But, Musk.”

  3. I would like to see Bondi and Kash take a good look at ActBlue. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing the Clinton Global Initiative on steroids.

    1. There are issues where ActBlue and CGI interact with poltical campaigns or Government, but otherwise they can do as they please.

      The biggest issue regarding ActBlue I am aware of is that they launder foreign political donations into Democrat campaigns.

      ActBlue is private so it is MOSTLY free to do as it pleases.

      It can accept money from foreign sources – but it can not direct them into US political campaigns.

      The Issue with CGI is do they function as the means by which democrats in government collect their quid pro quo in bribery schemes.
      One of the Biden families mistakes was not laundering the pitance of Graft they were taking through a charity.

      There is a separate problem in that CGI is a private charity that accepts money from the federal govenrment.

      The best answer is to get govenrment entirely out of the business of charity. it is not the proper domain of governemnt

      But Government working through private charities CAN be less problematic than what was going on at USAID.

    2. Calif needs an audit. PG&E needs an audit. Wooden power poles in LA? seriously? Dangling wires? Really? Where’s the composite? Where’s the viking stove? Guatemala and firewood is put in the oven? Toilets are flushing washing machines? How fancy…

  4. Speaking of war, women are fighting back against the Democrat war on women.

    3 former University of Pennsylvania swimmers have sued the university for allowing males to compete in women’s sports, and to gain access to women’s locker rooms.

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-upenn-womens-swimmers-suing-school-ncaa-for-allowing-biological-men-in-womens-sports

    The women are seeking damages for “pain and suffering, mental and emotional distress, suffering and anxiety, expenses costs” and more for the institutions allowing Thomas and other trans-identifying men into women’s spaces and competitions, which they say violated their rights under Title IX. Title IX is a federal statute that prohibits discrimination based on sex, and was initially created to ensure women have equal opportunities for sports.
    But over the past decade, schools have allowed biological men to self-identify into women’s sports, taking hundreds of medals from women.
    The three women now suing have argued that being forced to change clothes in front of Thomas, who still has male genitalia, left them “repeatedly emotionally traumatized.” It can take around 30 minutes for a competitive swimmer to get into their skintight swimsuits, meaning the women had to spend at least that much time in a vulnerable position in front of a biological man, who was also changing.
    “The UPenn administrators told the women that if anyone was struggling with accepting Thomas’s participation on the UPenn Women’s team, they should seek counseling and support from [UPenn’s student wellness center] and the LBGTQ center,” the lawsuit says.
    “The administrators also invited the women to a talk titled, ‘Trans 101.’ Thus, the women were led to understand that UPenn’s position was that if a woman on the team had any problem with a trans-identifying male being on her team that woman had a psychological problem and needed counseling,” the lawsuit added.
    The former swimmers also allege that the administrators told them not to publicly speak out about the situation, or risk consequences.
    “The UPenn administrators went on to tell the women that if the women spoke publicly about their concerns about Thomas’ participation on the Women’s Team, the reputation of those complaining about Thomas being on the team would be tainted with transphobia for the rest of their lives and they would probably never be able to get a job,’”
    the lawsuit says.

    1. “women are fighting back against the Democrat war on women. ”

      I don’t have a link handy, but I recently saw that a group of woman athletes are suing to have records set by men altered to look like women overturned. That is a logical and completely justified demand.

    2. They had a choice to quit. They’d have a better claim had they done so. What about lesbian phobia for hetero women?

  5. Right. Past predicts future.

    Democrats rioted and committed arson nationwide, even threatening a jury unless it returned the verdict the mob demanded against Chauvin.

    Democrats then claimed that the one, single Republican protest that turned into a riot on Jan 6 was a treasonous insurrection.

    Once again, Democrats are calling for riots, violence, and assassination attempts, but they expect us all not to notice, and to pretend Jan 6 was an insurrection by means of blue face paint, but calling for violence in the streets and assassinations is not.

    Unfortunately, as in years past, millions of Americans will get their information from news sources they trust, which are heavily biased against conservatives. They will hear accusations that Trump is a dictator, and not realize that Democrats are furiously trying to distract from all the information that’s come out on the money laundering, wasteful spending like $40 billion for electric chargers when 8 were built, drag shows in Ireland, trans comic books in Peru, getting quail high on cocaine, and all the other absolute baloney that our tax dollars have been blown on.

    Democrats are outraged at the idea that the Department of Education might be completely overhauled, or replaced with a state based oversight. What they don’t want you to consider is that the Democrat hegemony have had total control of the public education system, for decades, while education outcomes have plummeted. Aptitude tests were worse in 2024 than they were in 2022, so claims of the pandemic being the culprit are absurd. Democrats have had complete control of public education for generations at this point. We tried it their way, and it was a disaster. Democrats called the FBI on parents who showed up at school board meetings concerned about learning loss due to school shutdowns. Democrats have fought school choice for years, trapping students in failing public schools. For Democrats to now claim they speak for parents is an insult to our intelligence.

      1. # It’s planned sabotage and a crime. Sabotage can be economic, political, or any system, military, etc. Education was hit. Immigration was hit.

        Education will be online for pennies. It was Education as charity for the poor. It addresses free but not quality. The stipend people want as vouchers or charters will be partial payment for private schools next. Governor Newsom is paying 40 thou for 1st grade? No baby sitting.

        Treason, sabotage, sedition , espionage, political or economic are major crimes and it includes cyber crime. Dems chose sabotage. The View is political sabotage , MSN is political sabotage. It’s cyber crime.

  6. We go to the polls and achieve victory the way we’re supposed to. Doesn’t matter. We take the “High Road” in our debate. We get our teeth kicked in. We try to approach the issues in a positive, respectful and peaceful manner. We find ourselves threatened with violence. So, Professor, what are we to do? Surrender? The only option I seem to hear is tantamount to exactly that. That is not acceptable and the American People know it. The time to resist this madness, this horrific threat to civilized governance, is upon us. The Democrats have crossed the Rubicon and are intent on the destruction of the American majority by any means available to them. For us to sit in gentlemanly silence is folly. It’s not an option. It’s time to use all peaceful resources we have at our disposal to fight against the imposition of the tyranny this nation is threatened with. What we are witnessing is nothing less than what we witnessed in the early 1930s in Germany. The Brownshirts are on the move. It’s our responsibility to put it to rest now. Stand firm! Hold the line! Do not retreat a single step.

    1. None of this s–t matters. All is illusion..a construct crafted by extraterrestrials.

      BTW: TRUMP STILL SUCKS
      ELON STILL STINKS

    2. I’m sorry, but your BS strawman of tyranny is not an excuse for more of your Burning Looting and Murders. There is not imposition of tyranny, especially as it related to the 1930s in Germany. As they said in Big Bang Theory (TV), we’re not saying you are not good at your job, we’re saying you job isn’t worth doing. And if this ‘tyranny’ is meant to refer to the tranny issue, 1. You clearly haven’t been paying attention to the fact that that is a manufactured issue, by your side, as a side hustle to fleece the west by the crooks within and 2. That is pretty disrespectful to the targets of the German 1930 machine.

      Your hysterics have been proven laughable – you may not even know it as you are so entombed in your media bubble, but I’m here to tell you that the scam has been revealed and your side is the perpetrator. Seriously. So rage all you like, but know what you are raging for and against. Might want to read “Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland” to get a sense of what YOUR SIDE HAS DONE TO YOU.

  7. Trump should confer with Colonel Douglas McGregor and get him in his cabinet. He’s been spot on with Ukraine and the ME, a very wise man.

  8. The Country is heading towards $40 trillion in national debt, and yet the Dems are threatening to hit the streets to save the funding for trans comic books.

    It’s time for the psychiatric community to pull their heads out of their posteriors and declare liberalism a mental illness. Truth!

    1. No.

      It’s time for the communist Supreme Court to finally adhere to its sworn oath duty, support the Constitution, read Article 1, Section 8, and cut taxation and funding for 90% of the federal government.

      It’s simple.

      Most governmental agencies and departments are unconstitutional.

      If it’s done in America, it must be done by self-regulated private enterprises, in private industries, in the free markets of the private sector, to include charitable endeavors, understanding that the clear and unambiguous definition of general welfare is ALL, or THE WHOLE, WELL PROCEED—not one, some, or a few, not individual, specific, or particular welfare, or charity, or favor.
      ________

      Article 1, Section 8

      The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States…

    2. # it’s 2 million employees in the executive branch, right? How could anyone work with that? Walmart is the biggest private employer at 2 million employees. The Waltons can close any department at will or store etc. It’s not unionized so there’s the roadblock.

      These are the depts in the executive branch. The house can fund them or not. Sorry Charlie but you chose to let the executive branch grow. It’s still the executive branch. His and fire CEO and cabinet managers.

      Executive branch is funded. 😂

      1. * His and fire CEO – correction. —->
        He’s the CEO and his cabinet managers..

        Ronald Reagan 2.0.

        Don’t fund his departments and make his day House.

        How did you get this congress?

      2. * His and fire CEO – correction. —->
        He’s the CEO and his cabinet managers..

        Ronald Reagan 2.0.

        Don’t fund his departments and make his day House.

        How did you get this congress?

      3. So, according to you, America’s financial failure is inevitable? And you think it’s funny?

        1. What is funny is the democrats want to ensure it by any means necessary, and apparently that entails trans . And by ‘trans comic books for kids in africa’ we mean money laundering to democrat operatives.

    3. # Yes, he can unilaterally impose what wants in the executive branch of 2 million employees. Make his day and once congress let it grow so yuge congress is advise and consent only.

  9. Joe Klein on his political party. Savage takedown. Excerpt follows

    Still Crazy

    Yes, friends, (Democrats) still crazy after all these years…and the encroaching dementia is not benign. Can this party be saved? I have my doubts. The intellectual corrosion is comprehensive; it is only matched by the self-righteous arrogance. But what’s the alternative? I’ve been through Dems in Disarray syndrome multiple times in the past: in 1972, in 1980, in 1988, in 2016…but, gotta say, this is the worst I’ve ever seen it. There is a vast cluelessness abroad in the party. Its prevailing vision of an America based on identity now resides in the outhouse.

    The Democrats have twice now enabled a World-Historic Demagogue to be elected President of the United States. One wonders if Trump’s reelection will stand with Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon. The Gaza-like rubble of the Biden Administration is just beginning to come into focus. It probably dates to the days before Biden became President, when he made a deal with the socialist minions of Bernie Sanders to create his new Administration. This was Project 2021, the precursor of Project 2025. It resulted in left-nuttiness below the radar throughout the government. Every so often, the nuttiness would surface—as with the chaos at the Southern border—and Biden would do nothing about it. But usually it was a subdural hematoma, bleeding beneath the surface, like the death-grip the teachers unions held over the Department of Education. And the utter lapse in keeping the Pentagon up to date and funded appropriately. And the espousal, in too many Democratic cities, of releasing shoplifters without bail. (It wasn’t Defund the Police; it was Empower The Thieves.)

    ….

    Peggy Noonan recently suggested that, as a demonstration project, the Democrats choose one of the large cities they run….and actually try to govern it. A non-starter, sadly. Those cities, as I’ve written, are run for the benefit of their employees. And too many of those employees are selected according to identity, not merit

    1. Estovir,
      He mentions The Ruy Teixeira article in The Free Press and adds his own comments. He seems to be making sense for the most part. He later mentions the DLC in the 90s had three thing going for it. Great ideas, great Leaders and funds from big corporations. I would argue with the latter two: They do not have any great leaders this go around. Have not any since . . .
      He says corporations fear Trump. I think it is the corporations are tired of the Democrats embracing the woke leftist crazy as evident by the number of corporations ditching DEI nonsense. That is why funds are drying up.

  10. Jonathan: There is another war going on. It’s the one between DJT his old nemesis Letitia James. James has joined with 18 other attorneys general in suing DJT for allowing Elon Musk to illegally tap into the Treasury Departments classified and sensitive data base to gain access to private information on millions of Americans.

    James and her co-plaintiffs filed an emergency application with US District Judge Paul Engelmayer in NY to stop Musk’s fishing expedition. Today Engelmayer issued a TRO blocking Musk’s access to Treasury servers. And the judge went further. He order Musk to destroy all data downloaded so far. Engelmayer also assigned Judge Jeanette Vargas to hold a hearing on 2/14 to show cause while a preliminary injunction should be issued. Big news and why the courts are now holding DJT and Musk accountable!

    1. Oh, No! Not a Federal Judge! I am certain that Trump never thought of this, that a Federal Judge might get involved! Whatever will we do?

      1. The faster this goes the less painful for the left.

        Just rip the bandage off.

        Democrats and Dennis do not seem to understand they LOSE anyway this plays out.

        Lets say that James succeeds – and even the Supreme court upholds restrictions on DOGE – I think there is about Zero chance of that,
        But still – Trump can now blame democrats for high prices and inflation, a weak economy and high taxes.

        Trump keeps picking issues with 80% public support and rope-a-doping Democrats to fight him on them.
        Those of you on the left do not seem to understand – you lose no matter what thee outcome.

        Trump’s EO on Birth right citizenship is one of few of his actions that is not going to be upheld by SCOTUS –
        nut even that will be a win for Trump. He made a promise to voters – and the Supreme court thwarted him.
        And WHO was responsible for that ? Democrats.

        The country needs this quickly.
        But Trump and Republicans win the more obstructive democrats are and the longer this takes.

          1. Yes, I have. It’s plainly unconstitutional.

            So out of what is it now, 200 orders? 300? there’s one bad one. Doesn’t change the other 199, 299, whatever.

        1. John, I agree with you that SCOTUS will probably not uphold Trump’s EO on birthright citizenship, but I am not as pessimistic as you to say it with such certainty. I believe that there is maybe a 40% chance that the Court will do the right thing on this issue.

    2. Tired, recycled rhetoric. Why would anyone want to continue fraud and gross mismanagement of taxpayer dollars?

      The bomber must have hit the ammo dump. Boom!!

      A true, full and deeply conducted forensic audit will follow what has quickly been identified as hotbeds of fraudulent activity.

      Bring on the audits and investigations.

    3. Dennis, fyi for your reading pleasure:

      From: @elonmusk

      “To be clear, what the @DOGE team and @USTreasuryhave jointly agreed makes sense is the following:

      – Require that all outgoing government payments have a payment categorization code, which is necessary in order to pass financial audits. This is frequently left blank, making audits almost impossible.

      – All payments must also include a rationale for the payment in the comment field, which is currently left blank. Importantly, we are not yet applying ANY judgment to this rationale, but simply requiring that SOME attempt be made to explain the payment more than NOTHING!

      – The DO-NOT-PAY list of entities known to be fraudulent or people who are dead or are probable fronts for terrorist organizations or do not match Congressional appropriations must actually be implemented and not ignored. Also, it can currently take up to a year to get on this list, which is far too long. This list should be updated at least weekly, if not daily.

      The above super obvious and necessary changes are being implemented by existing, long-time career government employees, not anyone from @DOGE. It is ridiculous that these changes didn’t exist already!

      Yesterday, I was told that there are currently over $100B/year of entitlements payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious.

      When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a rough guess for what percentage of that number is unequivocal and obvious fraud, the consensus in the room was about half, so $50B/year or $1B/week!!

      This is utterly insane and must be addressed immediately.”

    4. “The lawless order from that New York radical leftist activist masquerading as a federal judge is even worse than I thought. First, the order banning access to Treasury payment systems and mandating the destruction of all files and data obtained since January 20 does include the Secretary of the Treasury. Just as bad, the order was issued ex parte—meaning no one in the Trump administration was even given a chance to respond.

      The judge simply accepted a deranged affidavit from someone in Letitia James’ office, making absurd claims about a supposed “hacking” risk. Never mind that China already has the data, thanks to a massive breach reported in December. The judge just saw the word “hacking,” decided that sounded bad, and promptly issued an order barring the sitting government from accessing its own records.

      It would be comical if it weren’t so serious. And it’s not just Trump or Elon—anyone unlucky enough to land before this judge should be alarmed. Tom Cotton’s proposal to bar him from Trump-related cases is far too mild. This isn’t just bias. It’s reckless, reality-defying lunacy. A judge this unhinged has no business deciding any case, ever. He belongs as far from a courtroom as possible.” @HansMahncke

    5. Dennis says, “the courts are now holding DJT and Musk accountable!”

      Nope. Ackshully what we have is…

      “Corrupt judges protecting corruption” (@elonmusk)

    6. ” There is another war going on. It’s the one between DJT his old nemesis Letitia James. James has joined with 18 other attorneys general in suing DJT for allowing Elon Musk to illegally tap into the Treasury Departments classified and sensitive data base to gain access to private
      information on millions of Americans.”

      Good to know YOU think it is a war – Can Trump send the national Guard in ?
      You can not even give lip service to the words “protest peacefully” ?

      If James wants to waste more of NY’s money – that is between her and NY voters.

      I expect this will die Quickly – NY does not have standing.

      “James and her co-plaintiffs filed an emergency application with US District Judge Paul Engelmayer in NY to stop Musk’s fishing expedition. Big news and why the courts are now holding DJT and Musk accountable!”
      Nope, this will not hold up. Trump’s conduct is 100% constitutional and legal, and james does not have standing. You may win at a lower court – but this just delays the inevitable and means that in the meantime DOGE will get the same information a different way.
      You do not seem to grasp that you are dealling with brilliant people far smarter than you.

      And all you are doing is growing the list of judges that never should be on the bench because the refuse to follow the constitution.

      1. I look forward to reading your posts. I believe that DOGE’s efforts to root out wasteful spending and corruption at USAID is merely a very small tip of a big iceberg. DOGE hasn’t even tapped into the main agencies. USAID is tiny in comparison to Dept of Education, Defense, Commerce, Interior, etc. These departments are all capable of issuing “grants” and contracts. CIA has a completely unaccountable budget. Auditing the IRS and its decisions about non-profit status will be incredibly interesting. Bondi has just been appointed, Kash isn’t even at the FBI yet. When that happens, I suspect that we will see a govt that has been completely taken over by the left. This was Obama’s blueprint, this legacy.

        The problem is that the corruption will be so overwhelming that I’m not sure if the shear scope of it won’t get lost in the news cycle. The media, even the honest media (if that still exists), isn’t very good at handling BIG stories. No one really cares that much about reports from special prosecutors two years after the fact, no one cares about congressional hearings. Life moves too quickly for this to get absorbed by the public. The Left is not worried about the fall-out, they’re worried that all of Obama’s work is getting undone, they’re money-train is getting derailed. After all, a lot of “good work” went into building this machine. I think we’re in an era where the big headline doesn’t mean that much anymore. When the newspaper died, ethical journalism died along with it. It used to be politicians were brought down by well-sourced, newspaper headlines, but those news papers have now either been corrupted or replaced with TV news spots that last about 30secs, if even that, or partisan websites, where the stories are replaced each day. Even a cursory investigation by a diligent media would have uncovered the Russia Hoax, or the Hunter Laptop scandal. What you are seeing now by the Left, is not fear about any of this getting out, its simply anger that they were caught and that their graft might be ending. The Left wasn’t funding AIDs clinics in South Africa, or arms shipments to Ukraine, because they cared, they were doing this so that a portion of what was supposed to be going there, could be diverted into something else.

    7. Engelmeyer is way out of line, and I predict he will be referred to the Judicial Conduct Committee. An emergency ex-parte TRO issued on a Friday night, without any explanation of what was the dire emergency that prevented him from waiting until the morning and giving the government a chance to respond?! When the plaintiffs clearly had their brief prepared days ago, and deliberately waited for when he would be the emergency judge on duty?! That sounds like grounds for discipline. Impeachment, if only the numbers were there for it.

  11. Number 6 asked me to do a Parody Song, so I just did this one! To the tune of Drift Away –

    Grift Away!
    A Parody Song by Squeeky Fromm, Girl Reporter

    Day after day, I’m more confused
    As I look for the dough in my offshore bank
    You know, Fifty Large was coming my way
    But Nothing’s there, and I’m drawing a blank?

    Chorus –

    Oh, give me a tweet boys,
    And let me know,
    Whatever happened to all of my dough,
    And grift away.

    Oh, give me a tweet boys,
    And let me know,
    Whatever happened to all of my dough,
    And grift away.

    Beginning to think that there’s something wrong –
    With that Belgrade Grift, and the D E I – ?
    Or perhaps that weird tranny opera – ?
    Oh, what was it called, “Mister Butterfly?”

    Repeat Chorus x 2

    I don’t do shit for free –
    But lots of money, that can move me
    Cause when I need some blow –
    That money coming through can save me.

    Thanks for the bucks that you’ve given me!
    But the first word in Aid, you know that’s “us.”
    Oh wait, my Politico sub that I get for free –
    Just notified me about Elon Musk!

    Switch tunes to, I Pagliacchi, and the final words –

    The Comedy is Ended. . .

  12. We may need a bit of President Andrew Jackson on Trump’s team.

    An Obama [of course] judge barred the President’s agents from accessing Treasury data and ordered that they destroy what they already have.

    What an insane ex parte ruling. If the Constitutional chief executive can’t access or manage data in an executive branch of government, who can? This stupid judge? AOC? Turn the whole thing off until this decision is in the hands of a sane judge. Not getting paid might bring some clarity to judicial thinking. And Congress can impeach this moron. Process can be the punishment.

    The Democrats have certainly staffed all chambers of government with real peaches.

    By the way, Jackson said to the Court you have made your ruling, now see if you can enforce it.

    1. There are laws on who can access government data and what they can do with it. Musk is ignoring those laws.
      Your solution to judges ruling in ways you don’t like is to illegally cut off their pay?
      Tell me again how you are not a fascist.

      1. Franke: “Musk is ignoring those laws.”

        Nope, Musk’s team are actual employees with authorization to access the systems. If actual employees don’t have access, who does? You?

      2. You misunderstood the payment issue. If actual employees, and even the President, don’t have access to the system nobody does and nobody is left who can issue any payments, not even to moron judges.

      3. Such ignorance. The president has staff to conduct the executive’s business. You’re saying it’s against the law for his staff to access information with which to perform the duties authorized by the president? You are not only a dumb sh*t, but a moron as well.

    2. By the way, Jackson said to the Court you have made your ruling, now see if you can enforce it.

      No, he didn’t. It’s a total bulldust story, invented many years later.

  13. The Bee reports the following: the Dems are now assuring Americans that the millions in USAID they gave to Hamas was just for gay stuff; WHO is warning that the millions in Trump’s funding cuts might delay the release of the next pandemic; Dems are warning that the deportations and closing of the border will cause unemployment to skyrocket among child traffickers; Biden has signed with a talent agency and landed a role on CSI as a corpse in a morgue; all Senate confirmation votes are delayed until Mitch McConnell unfreezes; Prince Harry asks ICE to deport him to Gitmo for some peace and quiet; country with record illiteracy worried what will happen if education system is reformed; nation asks if that security guard can please follow Congress around and keep them from doing anything ever.

  14. War has been in the air since 2020, and so has the idea of seceding. Now its under consideration in IL

    Secession From Illinois Is in the Air

    In November, to little national notice, seven Illinois counties voted to consider seceding, and now Indiana is rolling out the welcome mat. Voters in Iroquois, Calhoun, Clinton, Greene, Jersey, Madison and Perry counties approved a nonbinding ballot question on cutting ties with Illinois. The votes weren’t close. Six of the seven counties approved the advisory question by more than 70%. Iroquois County’s vote was some 72%, and Calhoun County’s near 76%.

    Indiana House Speaker Todd Huston says the Illinois counties would be more than welcome to come on over. On Jan. 14 the Republican introduced legislation to establish the Indiana-Illinois Boundary Adjustment Commission, which would include five members appointed by the Indiana Governor and five members appointed under Illinois law, to discuss moving the state line.

    Mr. Pritzker is essentially claiming the superiority of his welfare-state, public-union governance model. But fewer people are buying it. Since 2020, 33 Illinois counties have voted to consider breaking away from the state.

      1. Thanks Floyd. Little by little, improving. My supportive family, friends, neighbors, and prayers are miracle workers. Be well!

    1. Supreme Court of 1869: Because secession is not prohibited, secession is prohibited.

      The singular American failure is the judicial branch, with emphasis on the Supreme Court.

      Every act of Lincoln, subsequent to his unconstitutional denial of secession, is similarly unconstitutional and must be nullified, revoked, and rescinded with extreme prejudice.

    2. These counties can consider it all they like, but they can’t do anything about it without the permission of BOTH the IL and IN legislatures, and Congress.

  15. Are the Democrats revolting?

    Consider the following definitions (from wikipedia)
    “A coup d’état (/ˌkuːdeɪˈtɑː/ ; French: [ku deta] ; lit. ’stroke of state’), or simply a coup, is typically an illegal and overt attempt by a military organization or other government elites to unseat an incumbent leadership.”
    “An insurrection is an armed rebellion. A revolt is a rebellion with an aim to replace a government, authority figure, law, or policy. If a government does not recognize rebels as belligerents, then they are insurgents and the revolt is an insurgency. In a larger conflict, the rebels may be recognized as belligerents without their government being recognized by the established government, in which case the conflict becomes a civil war.”

    Since Trump is currently the ‘incumbent leader’, he can hardly be staging a coup or be engaged in any of the activities described above.
    I’m not sure which of the above labels (coup, insurrection, revolt, rebellion, insurgency) best describes the actions of the raging ‘elites’ resisting Trumps government reforms, but none seem very far off the mark. Calling themselves ‘Democrats’ (suggesting they are supporters of Democracy) however does seem a bit ironic.

  16. My Irony Meter short-circuited a few minutes ago when I projectile-vomited all over it! I read DeMac’s essay on Gleichschaltung. and then, Gigi repeating the same theme.

    I mean, how oblivious does one have to be to not recognize their own defining trait? Which Party and which side of the Political Spectrum:

    Riots when speakers of a different political view come to speak at their campus;
    Injects partisanship into non-political things, like the Oscars and Academy Awards;
    Repeats the same political mantras across different main stream media, like “Biden is as sharp as a tack.”;
    Has crying and gaslighting hosts like Colbert, Kimmel, and Fallon;
    Injects The Message into nearly every movie;
    Race swaps characters all over the place, in ridiculous scenarios;
    Mobs people who disagree with them, like Riley Gaines;
    Adopts ridiculous policies at the behest of The Party, like allowing men in women’s sports, to support the narrative;
    Makes one party the object of ridicule in comedy, while ignoring the foibles of the other party (like SNL);
    Utilizes every function of government, like the FBI and DOJ, to go after dissenters;
    Seeks to shut down the Free Speech of others, by characterizing it as disinformation, while blatantly disinforming;
    De-banks people who it disagrees with;
    Uses “show trials”, like in Nazi Germany and Stalinist-Russia; and
    The whole darn Cancel Culture thing.

    I guess that I could go on, but like Squeaky Fromm said, it is a bunch of poop.

    1. Good list there Floyd. In addition they have a demonic obsession with mutilating children’s genitals and killing babies. Starting in 1992 and spiraling downward to today, the Dems have literally become the party of Satan. And they show no sign of slowing their descent.

      1. # Who’s calling the shots? The Pope , a guess.

        Do you utterly hate abortion and trans treatment for children? All the rest listed ? Unfortunately one can only do what DJT just did about the Gaza harangue. Something new with potential…

        Progress in good–It’s good to pare down government. National security is good, too.

        Ah, to sleep, to dream…

      2. oldmanfromkansas:

        If you’d told me 20 years ago that the Democrat Party would vehemently promote the castration of children, in an attempt to mimic the female sex, I would have thought it was a crazy suggestion.

        Democrats have thrown themselves off a cliff. Without a shred of irony, they still claim Republicans are waging a war on women, while they tell women to shut up and keep sweet when they object to males in their locker rooms, showers, battered women’s shelters, and sports teams. Left unchecked, I believe that within a few years, virtually all records and awards would be held by biological males in women’s sports.

  17. Really: modern American dems could not be more clownish and insulting if they tried, and they do, mightily. Of COURSE an Obama appointed judge is blocking DOGE. This is getting really, really, old. May the modern dem party rot until all that is left is something for us to put on our crops and flowers.

    The modern, globalist aligned aristocracy accusing everyone else of being an ‘oligarchy’ – that is some first rate comedy, that is, particularly after the video of Nancy’s fridge or hair appointments during the lock down. I take their faux (and well funded) activism like I take the tickling of my foot by an insect that happened to crawl across it. They do not seem to understand, nay, they seem to be INCAPABLE of grasping, we are just done with them. Whole hog. They will never hold meaningful power again, so they’d better get started culling their ‘party’, but understand: any promises they make are just more lies so they can resume stomping on our faces again if they were ever to regain power, full click, like nothing ever happened.

    As ever, protect the 1A and 2A as though your lives depended on it, because they will never, ever cease in their attacks on them or on our Constitution; again, thus far, the current administration has done zero that is illegal, and indeed, in the past, was even common in many cases (audits are not flipping illegal). But you see: the cohort the dems are targeting are ignorant of those facts – they are counting on it. Those in question do not know a world or a USA before Obama. They simply don’t, and no one is educating them in that regard. Most of them don’t even know what happened on 9/11. 🤷🏻‍♂️
