There is considerable buzz in Washington about the disclosures of Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Lee Zeldin on controversial grants by the Biden Administration, including the $50 million environmental justice grant to an organization that believes “climate justice travels through a Free Palestine.” However, one item was particularly notable: $160 million to a Canadian electric bus manufacturer which later announced bankruptcy without fulfilling the contract.
Both the Obama and Biden Administration wasted billions in loans and grants on green initiatives including the failed solar-panel company Solyndra and most recently the termination of the Ivanpah Solar Power Plant.
These projects often start with photo ops and virtue signaling that costs taxpayers billions in losses. What is missing is a modicum of economic and administrative judgment.
The Canadian electric bus company Lion Electric is such an example. Figures like Vice President Kamala Harris did repeated photo ops with electric buses as a defining issue. However, the company struggled from the start and the Biden Administration failed to take the most basic steps to protect taxpayer money. Rather than break up payments in segments based on actual production, Biden officials just sent the $160 million to the company.
The company is now shutting down without supplying $95 million in bus orders. The money is gone. Poof! and the company could vanish with the “Lion’s share” of U.S. public funds.
At the same time, the Administration pushed local and state governments to buy electric vehicles. Many blue cities went all-in but then had to spend more money to deal with the failures. Cities like Asheville, North Carolina, spent millions to buy more expensive electric buses only to find that they had to be recharged every 70 miles. Three out of five buses quickly broke down and could not be repaired because the company, Proterra, also filed for bankruptcy.
The concerning aspect of the Lion Corp payments is the apparent negligence of government officials in the handling of U.S. funds. Average Americans in contracting for their homes would require more assurances than what was allegedly demanded by the EPA.
Such accounts are likely to be cited in cases where Democratic groups are fighting to force agencies to continue to pay out money after court injunctions. The argument of the Trump Administration is that it wants to freeze expenditures as it reviews these contracts. In all likelihood, it will be able to accomplish such inspections and reviews as this litigation shakes out in the courts. It may result in some resumption of funding in the interim either by court order or waivers from the Administration, as done for health programs under the US AID.

Nothing to see here, move along…
Newly released financial disclosures from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) show that she bought numerous blue chip tech industry stocks, including Alphabet, Amazon, Meta (parent company of Facebook and Instagram) and Tesla.
Greene’s purchase of Tesla stock is particularly noteworthy, as she was recently named chair of the House Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) subcommittee. Forbes investigative reporter Zach Everson combed through Greene’s disclosure forms and found that she purchased between $4,000 and $60,000 of Tesla stock on January 8 (financial disclosure forms only require ranges, rather than exact amounts).
Nobody can beat Nancy Pelosi. One could set their clock to her stock trading.
Regarding finger pointing, whoever is doing that has run out of options. The bizarre mishandling of tax payer’s hard earned money is the 900 pound gorilla in the room.
PELOSI TRADES in MILLIONS of dollars! WOW GREENE purchased $4,000
Wow! MTG bought stock!
She is betting that the future is good.
Kill her.
trump, the idiot president…
“Trump officials fired nuclear staff not realizing what they do”
It does not matter what they do – no one is irreplaceable.
I am sure there are other in the federal government who have been there for more than 5 minutes who can do these jobs,
presuming that replacing them is even necescary
These were all people who had been on the job less than 24 months.
They had little experience.
Saying that a job is with a nuclear agency does not make it indispensable – much less even necessary.
The federal workforce is bloated,
We are now getting data that very little of the new jobs during the Biden administration were of citizens into jobs in the real economy. The overwhelming majority were hiring of people born elsewhere and/or into govenrment jobs.
Trump has not come close to cutting the federal government back to the level it was in Jan 2024, much less where it was in Jan 2021.
Judges and legislators who usurp and exercise executive power are committing constitutional nullification, subversion, insurrection, and rebellion.
No executive power is vested in judges or legislators; they possess no executive power to exercise.
Legislation and adjudication must be accomplished utterly bereft and devoid of any degree of exertion of executive power.
Have you heard about the Marbury v Madison case?
I have heard of the Constitution, which vests 100%, or all, of the executive power in the President and none of the executive power in the legislative or judicial branch.
No legislative body of court has any power to modify or amend the Constitution.
Legislation and adjudication shall not violate the Constitution.
Legislation and adjudication must be accomplished utterly bereft and devoid of any degree of exertion of executive power.
Legislation and adjudication that exerts executive power is unconstitutional.

__________________________________________________________________________________________
Article III, Section 1
The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.
It says that the final authority on the constitution is the courts.
It says Nothing about the courts meddling in management of the country.
The courts role is to decide whether an act of govenment is constutional, and if so whether is conforms with constitutional federal laws.
The court does not have an Oversight function – that is the role of congress.
Undoubtedly Trump’s actions are constitutional.
The claim so far is that they are at odds with acts of congress.
That is a legitimate question for the courts ….. and when congress challenges those actions, the courts will get to decide.
The courts are not free to jump in where there is no “case or controversy”.
They are not free to jump in because some third party is upset.
There is only an issue if CONGRESS decides there is an issue.
There are no individual rights being violated.
Well, over 90 percent of USAID is a scam, probably the same on biden 1.7 trillion dollar inflation reduction act what a joke it does the opposite, and these green fundings also cause inflation so everyone pays as they spend on anything.
The scam has been sufficiently revealed and it appears many more revelations are coming fast, the DoD is going to be a doozie and that’s when the violent powers that be are going to be motivated to strike back.
If DOGE isn’t stopped I think 2 trillion is probable in just waste fraud and abuse, that will include the SS and Medi frauds which reportedly are also substantial and then we have the half trillion or more going to illegals every year now.
We would see a balanced budget or even a slight surplus. I don’t expect that DOGE will be allowed to move on all the faces and finish we will see some real days of rage as the kickbacks and whole swaths of govemps in their undies at home surfing are routed not to mention the 100’s of billions of DoD MIC we see sold off in other nations deliveries, Afghanistan and Ukraine to mention two we know of certainly many others including the 100 plus bases overseas and the dark budgets in research and intel perhaps drinking in grey and black market funds from some of their front orgs.

As an ordinary person, it’s an audit long overdue. 2 million employees in the executive branch for prolonged tenure will produce some crime.
He’s auditing and will find crime as high as treason. The hysteria indicates fear of criminal charges. They were actually looting. Check the China and silver.
Best wishes to the young who’ll inherit the bankruptcy and without a clue on the fix. FUBAR
Don’t forget USAID, which spent $2 million on pottery classes in Morocco (renowned for pottery since ancient times), $20 million for an Iraqi Sesame Street, $27 million on gift bags for deported illegal aliens. $1.5 to advance DEI in Serbian workplaces, $70,000 for a DEI production in Ireland, $47,000 for a transgender opera in Columbia, $32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru, $2 million for trips to Lebanon, $1 million in funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, $2 million for sex changes in Guatemala, and $2.5 million for electric vehicles in Vietnam.
USAID contractor Chemonics over-billed USAID by $270 million through fiscal year 2019, and allegedly offered kickbacks to terrorists. It was also caught selling USAID-funded products on the black market, which was supposed to go towards global health supply chains. Critics of reforming USAID may claim that it funds global health supply chains, without knowing that it actually provided products for contractors to sell on the black market.

Biden didn’t hand out enough pardons!
Why none have yet called for a federal “tax-out” is beyond me. But the impression is that one-quarter of our tax dollars is lost to fraud and outright corruption, another is probably lost to waste too, right? And then we wonder why we have to pass our tax bills before they permit us to read them. Federal government just a bunch of thieves!
Economist Harvard Robert Barro more than a decade ago studied the entire OECD and found that on average government spending $1 generated about $.25-.35 of real value – while the private economy generates on average $1.1
That rate of inefficiency is true for the US.
You fail to factor in things like business failures and capital lock up. The fact is 65.3% of private-sector businesses fail within ten years of inception. Factor that those massive losses and the private sector doesn’t remotely come close to public funding’s value generation. Moreover, company revenues are gobbled up mostly by capital costs and paying the owners. Elon Musk made most of his liquid billions while Tesla lost money. He’s not injecting much of his money into the hands of people in the economy, but locking it up. Apple has an immense war chest and those dollars don’t see the light of day. You don’t understand what you’re talking about.

John Say has no interest in actual facts.
He is just listening to the voices in his head, and simply makes stuff up that suits the agenda of the MAGA cult.
ATS – Anonymous is incorrect – free markets factor in everything. That is a tautology.
If it were not true – standard of living would be declining rapidly – rather than growing.
The assertions I make – regarding the economy are either restatements of the laws of economics or easily verifiable facts.
Nor are they voices in my head – Robert Barro is quite real – Friedman, Coase and myriads of other great economists are now dead – but they are still real. The actual economy is unbelievably complex. But the principles by which it operates are not.
I just looked on Amazon and I can buy a 2 slice toaster for $15.99.
Starting from nothing you can not make a 2 slice toaster for $100,000.
You can not mine and refine the steel, and other metals create the plastic and then machine it into a toaster.
The difference is the gain in productivity from the start of the industrial era though to today.
It is also the increase in standard of living.
“You fail to factor in things like business failures and capital lock up.”
Nope – factored in. And with a little bit of thought you should be able to know that.
“The fact is 65.3% of private-sector businesses fail within ten years of inception.”
The number I have is even worse. Does not matter – still factored in – and again OBVIOUSLY if you think about it.
“Factor that those massive losses and the private sector doesn’t remotely come close to public funding’s value generation.”
ROFL
First the Public sector does NOT generate value, That is not even its role – outside of communist countries ALL wealth is generated in the private sector. The role the public secotr is to protect the process of creating wealth from those who would use force of fraud to interfere.
“Moreover, company revenues are gobbled up mostly by capital costs and paying the owners.”
I have no clue what you think you mean.
“Elon Musk made most of his liquid billions while Tesla lost money.”
Interesting history rewrite.
” He’s not injecting much of his money into the hands of people in the economy, but locking it up.”
100% of Musk’s money is “in the economy” it is called invested capital. There is a reason we talk about free market capitalism.
While Capital is not the only essential component to a thriving economy – it is still indespensible.
Litterally the difference wetween the success of the West – the anglosphere particularly and the rest of the world is CAPITAL.
The Mystery of Capital: Why Capitalism Triumphs in the West and Fails Everywhere Else

“Apple has an immense war chest and those dollars don’t see the light of day.”
Of course they do – EVERYDAY.
” You don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
I know exactly what I am talking about.
It is what economists since Adam Smith have talked about.
Apple is currently a 3.68T company – that means that you, I and the rest of the world have decided that the Wealth created every day By apple is worth 3.68T. The Money that you claim is “Locked up” is what creates new wealth every day.
The 3.68T in Market Cap means that others like Musk have given 3.68T in wealth TO Apple to create the NEW wealth they do everyday.
After Adjusting for inflation the increase in Wealth generated per year by the United states – ENTIRELY by the private sector was 1.83T from the start of 2021 to the end of 2024. That is a real growth rate of 1.5%/year – that is 0.02% higher than Obama. and .5% lower than Trump (including Covid).
regardless that is real wealth. Further there is not a single dollar that is in Musk or any one else’s hands that did not require generating far more wealth that is in YOUR hands.
Tesla as an example produces approximately $100B of cars in 2024. People own those cars.
People bought those cars using money they Made creating more wealth in factories like Tesla plants, or as plumbers or as construction workers – each of these producing more wealth for someone else – NOT Musk. But they were able to produce that new wealth – apple as an example created 400B in new wealth in 2024 – and it did so because people like Musk put 3.68T of THEIR wealth into Apple.
When you buy stock in Apple you are either giving that money to Apple – capital to allow them to create MORE wealth,
or you are giving it to someone else who sometime earlier gave money to Apple to create more wealth.
Apple is worth $3.68T – because investors – including possibly your pension or 401K have 3.68T of capital invested in Apple to produce that 400B/year of new wealth.
The entirety of the private economy is just on huge virtuous circle – or circles within circles.
If you buy a Tesla or an iPhone that means you are taking what you earned from your part in producing wealth doing your job – something made possible by the investment from pensions 401K’s hedgefunds, and people like Musk, you took what you earned producing wealth and traded it for actual wealth rather than money. Money BTW is not wealth is it just the lubricant that keeps wealth moving.
It can be converted to wealth, but it is not wealth. Regardless you freely traded money that you valued, for an iphone or a Tesla – which you valued even more. How do we Know you valued those even more ? Because the trade was voluntary and no one will intentionally
ever freely trade something worth more for something worth less.
The role of govenrment is not to create wealth – but to assure that in the process of free exchange that force and fraud are not used to make the exchange unfree – because that is how wealth is destroyed.
I told you that the free market generated $1.1 for every $1 spent. GDP is the NEW wealth created every year.
aside from a tiny contribution from govenrment – which is net negative, because government created less wealth than it consumed,
and aside from the increase in government debt – which ultimately must be paid by wealth created by the free market in the future,
All the rest was created by the free market.
\
Again this is a NET – it includes all losses all business failures all bankruptcies – Everything.
I noted earlier that apple creates about $400B in new wealth each year that is on a total investment of 3.68T of capital – or a 10% gain EVERY YEAR.
When Obama said “You did not build that” – he was full of schiff.

“Unitary Executive”
Article 2 gives the president sole authority over the executive branch, even when Congress or the judicial branch seeks to impose limits.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Article 2, Section 1
The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America
It does not say executive power cannot be limited by congress or the judiciary, dumbass.
Depends on the specific powers. Powers exclusive to the president can not be limited by congress.
Powers DELEGATED to the president by congress can be constrained by congress.
National security is the domain of the president. That is why everything about classifying and declassifying is by executive order – because Congress has no power over it.
The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.
No other individual or entity is vested with any executive power to exercise.
Congress or the judicial branch limiting the executive power vested in the President constitutes exercising the executive power that the Constitution vests only in the President in exclusion of every other individual or entity.
Weren’t we talking about busses??? Anyway, I am about to leave the office and head home. Penny has a date tonite, so I will be hanging out by myself. Before I left, I started this kid song, and anyone is quite welcome to add verses to it!

Don’t go round, don’t go round-
The wheels on the bus, they don’t go round
We gotta walk???

Made the deal, made the deal
Oh, the Wheels, the Wheels, who made the deal!

O Captain! My Captain! Scene – Dead Poets Society
Estovir I LOVE that….thank you.
P.S. Long before this film, I had a statistics Prof in college who would jump up on a desk occasionally! He was passionate about numbers!
Those are the best professors, Cindy. Clearly you were exposed to a renaissance formation, the best possible education that is a rare find today. I forget where you attended college but as you know I attended in the Deep South, a Jesuit college. I had a professor for a Shakespeare course where we read a play by Shakespeare per class – The Riverside Shakespeare – was our text – brutal amount of reading.
The professor would stand on the class table and read Shakespeare from our text. For our Romeo and Juliet class, he had us gather in the quadrangle of the college, a very old section of the college built in the 1800s where we students took turns reciting aloud sections of Romeo and Juliet’s monologues. I delivered mine with a thick Cuban accent. Professor loved my passion. 👀 As expected a small audience of admins, faculty and students passing through campus, gathered to watch us perform Romeo and Juliet. It wasn’t even an official production it was just extemporaneously. Ill never forget that moment. Kids in universities today are getting cheated from faculty not offering them a renaissance curriculum.
Here’s to great professors and (music) teachers like you.
Estovir…..wow…what a wonderful education…..wish I could have heard you! Our daughter went to Loyola New Orleans, a Jesuit school, and she loved it and the profs.
And thank you for your kind compliment!…BTW I attended a small Baptist University in the middle of Okla! They had a fabulous music department.
Hi Cindy!!!
Thank you so much for saying nice things about me! I will do my best to keep the good people here laughing, and the bad people here crying in despair!!!
Squeaky!!! Where have you been, Girl Reporter?
Hi Karen!!!
I have just been super busy. I moved but it wasn’t very far, but still. I sort of live in the woods now, on my father’s property. It is rural, but not that far from town, or work. There are a few acres that are pasture type land, but we don’t have any cows. We do have chickens, for eggs. I never thought I could get attached to chickens, but I did. My father also has two big old dogs, and they are pretty kewl, too. I think they are maybe staffies, and sometimes they stay with me over night. We do have several outside wood stoves to cook on, in case the SHTF. There are these little covers over them, like you find on a campground. That is so we don’t heat the houses up during summer. It is kind of fun cooking on them, but you have to start a fire in them. Plenty of firewood for like ten years. My dad and uncle make sure to chop up every tree that falls over in the woods, and there is a metal barn thingy they keep it all in. Then, Penny Dreadful keeps me busy. I could work at home, and will most days when she gets a new office manager.
Thank you for missing me!
Today, has been another good day. The good professor points out another case of “bullet train to nowhere,” in Biden’s “green deals” that waste $160 million of our taxpayers dollars for nothing. Trump, Musk and DOGE have found more instances of fraud, waste and abuse by various government agencies at the benefit of Democrats. Leftists are so desperate to control the narrative, Rachel Maddow was debunked and found a liar in epic time, where a simple three second Google search proved her as a liar. Musk even called her out on it. Then the NYTs attempted to claim Musk had no evidence, New York Times says Musk has no ‘proof’ of fraud but simple Google search shows otherwise
“The Times concluded that because Musk did not provide reporters with screenshots, receipts, and specific documentation at a single press conference means such fraud and waste never happened. Several inspectors general and the GAO have already proved the Times wrong, and there’s more to come.”
https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/frinyt-blasts-musk-showing-no-proof-fraud-google-search-proves-them-wrong
And we all wonder why the NYT is losing so many subscribers. They are not credible!! Pure and simple! We all see through their obvious bias and even moderate, traditional Democrats are canceling their subscriptions. Who wants to be lectured to or gaslighted to what to believe? Anyone with any degree of critical thinking or common sense.
And now, “We expect to begin our fieldwork immediately,” “Given the breadth of this effort, the audit will likely not be completed until August; however, we recognize the danger that improper access or inadequate controls can pose to the integrity of sensitive payment systems. As such, if critical issues come to light before that time, we will issue interim updates and reports.”
— Treasury Deputy IG Loren J. Sciurba
Musk and DOGE have launched the ‘unconstitutionality index,’ which compares the number of rules passed by Congress in 2024 vs. the number of agency rules created out of thin air.
How marvelous. Marvelous indeed.
Jonathan: For years you complained about the alleged “vast corruption” in the Biden administration. Now we see CORRUPTION on a vast scale in the second DJT administration and you are strangely silent.
The Eric Adams case is a prime example. See my previous comment today @11:28 am. DJT wants to use the largest city in the country to showcase his attempts to round up and deport immigrants. Only one thing stands in the way. NY is a self declared sanctuary city. And Mayor Adams is under indictment for his own CORRUPTION. So how does DJT get Adams’ support for his immigration policies? It’s the old fashioned carrot and stick. DJT offers Adams a deal he can’t refuse. He tells Adams that in exchange for Adams’ promise to cooperate with ICE in rounding up thousands of NY residents, DJT will get the DOJ to dismiss the criminal charges in NY.
But the offer from DJT came with a threat. Emil Bove’s order was to dismiss the case against Adams “without prejudice”. What is the significance of that? Had the order been to dismiss “with prejudice” Adams could never be tried again on the same charges. So what incentive would have to enforce DJT’s immigration crackdown if he knew he had a get-out-of-jail free card? And Adams is running for re-election this year. And he knows most New Yorkers support the city’s sanctuary status. So DJT is sending Adams a not so subtle message: “Eric, if you don’t go along and oppose my ICE raids in your city I can always have my DOJ reindict you on the same charges”. Using the DOJ for political purposes is VAST CORRUPTION ON A GIANT SCALE!
Finally, it’s just being reported that a seventh prosecutor in the Adams criminal case has also resigned. It’s Hagan Scotten, a Harvard law grad awarded 2 bronze stars as a troop commander in Iraq, resigned and sent a blistering letter to Emil Bove in which he stated: “If no lawyer is in earshot of the president and is willing to give him advice, then I expect you will eventually find someone who is a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it is never going to be me…No system of ordered liberty can allow the Government to use the carrot of dismissing charges, or the stick of threatening to being them again, to induce an elected official to support its policy objectives”.
No doubt Emil Bove will eventually find a “fool” or a “coward” in his ranks to dismiss the Adams case. But at what price? At the price of CORRUPTING the federal justice system. Reminds me of Robert Bork. In the 1973 “Saturday Night Massacre” Nixon ordered AG Elliot Richardson to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox. Richardson refused and resigned. Nixon then next ordered Deputy AG Ruckelshaus to fire Cox. Ruckelshaus also refused and resigned. Nixon finally found a “fool” and “coward” in Solicitor General Robert Bork who finally fired Cox. DJT and Emil Bove are desperately seeking their own “Robert Bork”.
The Q is why you are strangely silent in the face of this vast CORRUPTION and POLITIZATION of the DOJ!
Dennis:
Why are you so intent on prosecuting a Man of Color? Eric Adams was targeted by the Biden DOJ for disagreeing with Joe Biden over illegal immigration. The only ethical thing to do is to dismiss the charges:
The Constitution, the Justice Department’s Principles of Federal Prosecution, and the ethical standards governing the conduct of prosecutors together prohibit a prosecutor from pursuing an investigation or prosecution that is – or even appears to be – politically motivated, or that violates the accused’s right to fundamental fairness in the administration of justice.”

Squeeky called what you are doing “Fugitive Slave Patrol 2.0”, and she hit the nail on the head! I copied her limerick from an earlier comment she made. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, but I guess that as a Democrat, you can’t get away from your pro-slavery roots!
The Strange Fruit of the Poisonous Tree???
An Irish Poem by Squeeky Fromm
Eric Adams stepped off the Plantation –
To Joe Biden’s great consternation!
Massa Joe, he did figger,
He’d go get that n–——!
With DOJ collaboration!
Is it politicization of the DOJ to go after people who have committed crimes? What if those people happen to be your political enemies, should you just leave them alone? Going after them seems like a win-win operation to me as long as the evidence is there.
Maybe Adams has been offered immunity of sorts in order to land some bigger fish. It’s not ideal but it may be quite practical. Maybe it’s a real winner in the cost/benefit analysis.
With a little luck Agent Bondi will nab Hochul, James, Bragg, and a truckload of underlings. Maybe by Summer they’ll be breaking rocks in the hot sun🤣
Old Fish,
No, it is not wrong to go after politicians who have committed crimes. Which, Eric James most likely did cross the line. Like probably every politician in New York and New Jersey, like Bob Menendez. BUT if Eric Adams was TARGETED by the DOJ, for disagreeing with Biden’s immigration crimes then, which I think it was, it should be dismissed. I think the prosecution was politically motivated.
“Is it politicization of the DOJ to go after people who have committed crimes?”
Show me the man, and I will show you the crime – is levanti Beria – is an actual totalitarian regime.
Is NOT the rule of law.
In this country we investigate and prosecute crimes – not people.
No one was investigating Adams until he stopped toeing the party line on Immigration.
One of the biggest deals about the Steele dosiere and the FBI’s use of it, and the Mueller investigation is that they were all efforts to Get Trump, and effort that continues through today.
The Biden DOJ went after people because they were catholic, or prolife or spoke against DEI or Trans rapes at school board meetings.
They picked WHO to prosecute and THEN went looking for WHAT to prosecute.
That too is “criminal”.
So far Trump is guilty of free speech, and refusing to agree with you that he lost the 2020 election.
Adam’s is guilty of taking his job as Mayor more seriously than his fealty to the democratic party.
As to his alleged actual crime – he accepted upgrades to business class, and fancy hotel rooms while a public official.
That is a reason to think about whether you want to vote for him in November – If you are a New Yorker you will have MANY things to think about, you will have to decide how important THAT one is.
Allegedly Adams later helped the people who bumped up his airtravel to get temporary permits to open a fascility in time for a major event.
New York is the HeadQuarters of the UN – we would expect ANY New York mayor or Public official to do EXACTLY that for a foreign embassy – whether they bumped your airfare or not.
YOU are free to feel that somehow is a crime – and again you can even vote that way.
But the infamous Jack smith took exactly that all the way to the supreme court – and LOST 9-0. Neither his first or last 9-0 loss at the supreme court.
YOU are not obligated to accept the decision of the supreme court – But the Biden DOJ and the Biden (and now Trump) SDNY ARE absolutely obligated NOT to pursue cases that the supreme court of the united states has already said – ARE NOT CRIMES.
In the US voters get to decide right and wrong in the privacy of the voting booth.
But prosecutors are REQUIRED to follow the law. They are REQUIRED not to prosecute people for acts that the Supreme court has said ARE NOT CRIMES.
For too long the left hasbeen investigating people because they are political enemies and THEN searching for crimes.
That is what Stalin did.
That is not what America does.
While we are a great country – we have alot of sins in our past – the conduct of the Biden DOJ is one of those.
” What if those people happen to be your political enemies, should you just leave them alone? Going after them seems like a win-win operation to me as long as the evidence is there.”
Adams did not just happen to be a political enemy – he was targeted FIRST because he deviated from party dogma on immigration.
“Maybe Adams has been offered immunity of sorts in order to land some bigger fish. It’s not ideal but it may be quite practical. Maybe it’s a real winner in the cost/benefit analysis.”
DOJ dropped the Adam’s prosecution for exactly the reasons they said – the same reasons that Trump said at the Al Smith dinner several months ago. Because Joe Biden is Levanti Beria, Because Merit Garland is Levanti Beria, but Trump and Bondi are not.
Everyone should have dropped the case – because there is no coase. Scotus has already ruled on this in McDonald.
I am sure that Bondi and Trump would love to get Hoschul and Bragg and James and Engoron and Merchan.
But Adam’s case was not dropped for that.
@Dennis
Really. You trolls are so exhausting and that might very well be the point. Personally, my patience is gone. We are not listening to you, or Jen Psaki. Enough, already, the rest of us moved on, and in record time. Please stop wasting our time with your nonsense, it’s over. Likely for good.
James,
nonsense is right! That is why I generally just scroll past Dennis’s comments. Not worth reading. He cannot comprehend the topic at hand, has to resort to deflection of his TDS fevered mind. He tries to come off as some kind of educated intellect but by his own words proves he is nothing of the sort. He lacks any degree of critical thinking, or even independent thinking and just parrots DNC/MSM talking points. Have we not noticed how today our leftist friends are all of a sudden concerned with the Adams thing? Prior to this, it was never a thing. Especially when it was Biden’s DOJ going after him. All we heard was the sounds of silence. Thank you leftists for proving the degree of hypocrites you are.
How marvelous!
“The Eric Adams case is a prime example.”
You can like Adams and his conduct or dislike it – but more than two Decades ago the legality of the conduct alleged regarding Adams was established by none other than Jack Smith in another of his infamous 9-0 Losses – in the Virginia Governor McDonald case.
The conduct alleged by SDNY does NOT violate the law – so Says SCOTUS.
You need more and they do not have it.
That makes the efforts to prosecute Adams “weaponized Lawfare”.
Most of the world – outside the left knows that Adam’s was targeted because of his apostasy on immigration.
I would sugggest that you Might want to follow Glenn Greenwalds system update VLOG.
Greenwald is the the left of Turley – even today. But the OLD left – the one that is antiwar, antideep state before Republicans accepted that as fashionable and democrats abandoned those positions.
On a recent VLOG about Tulsi Gabbard and Sanders – Greenwald pointed out that Like Trump Obama, and Sanders promissed to turn the deep state upside down, to end stupid wars and to go after Big Pharma.
Obama abandoned those promises within days of taking office – he became a deep state toady and they protected him from scandal.
Sanders did not toe the line – and they went after him – Sanders was under numerous investigations until he privately made nice with big Phamra and the deep state. Then those investigations mysteriously went away.
RFK Jr. and Sanders had a Spat in committee – in theory RFK Jr and Sanders should be buddies. what they SAY is not that different.
But Sanders went after RFK Jr. and RFK exposed Sanders as receiving the most money of any senator from …. Big Pharma.
In 2016, in an act of great courage Tulsi Gabbard – a Chair in the DNC and rising star pissed of Hillary and ruined her future in the DNC by going public with the fact that the DNC was rigging the primary against Sanders. Sanders Thanked and praised Gabbard for her courage.
A few days ago in committeee Bernie Sanders repaid Gabbard for her integrity by stabbing her in the back.
The corruption has gone on way to long.
While Biden hated Trump – this is not about Biden – Biden is just another deep state lackey – toe the line and they would make sure his personal corruption stayed MOSTLY burried.
In 2017 Trump came to DC to clean house – and the deep state tried to clean his clock. They tried to get him impeached and removed – twice
when it was clear that he was running again – they went after him with a vengance.
Trump survived – and thrived and is president.
When you strike the King you must kill the king.
The deep state is going to be pulled out root, leaves and branches.
You are free to vote against Adams because of the airline upgrades he received. But the supreme court has already ruled – muiltiple times that you need a CLEAR quid pro quo to charge corruption.
You scratch my back, i will scratch yours is not good enough.
If you do not like that – your going to have to change the constitution.
In the meantime – the Adams case did not meet the SCOTUS perscribed standard to indict.
All questionable conduct is not illegal.
You are free to vote Adam’s out this november.
Dennis:
Mayor Adams was calling for immigration law to be enforced long before the corruption charges, and before DJT was elected. Don’t you remember all the press conferences where he said sheltering and caring for all the migrants would impact all social services budgets?
He’s asked for years for help with immigration.
This is fantastic! DOGE was originally an Obama program! Hilarious!

Yea, 48 cases of measles in West Texas. MAGA.
Thank goodness we have a HHS secretary that doesn’t believe in science.
Ohhhh Nooooo! Not the measels, not 48 cases….oh what are we going to do? Quick, get Fauci on the line, get the mRNA vaccines rolling, get your mask mandates, shut down the schools! Ohhhhh Noooo! God save us, the dreaded measles!
Traveler,
I am somewhat surprised Democrats are not calling for lockdowns. I mean, this could a another pandemic!!! /sarc
Lucky it was only the dreaded measles, could have been the “common cold”, and then Fauci would be creaming his panties for the rest of the month..💖
When my great great grandfather came here in the 19th century TB was an issue. All immigrants were checked. None of Biden’s illegals are screened. Presto, a resurgence of diseases that were practically gone in the US.
Let me sum up RFK Jr’s attitude towards science for you since you seem to have totally missed the point: good science is required to ensure the safety of the public. Science that has been subverted by commercial interests is not just bad science, it isn’t science at all.
We’re looking at you Pfizer
OldFish,
Well said. It seems our leftist friends lack any degree of critical thinking, hindsight, and just spew stupid.
How marvelous!
A member of the Party, that doesn’t know what a woman is, making snarky remarks about people who supposedly don’t believe in Science! Talk about clueless!
the answer of course is Leftists need to start dating members of the opposite sex, get married, have children, say a bakers dozen, and populate the nation. Oh, but wait, Leftists are the most miserable sons of fracks in the country. Measles is caused by the measles virus (Morbillivirus hominis) whereas catastrophizing and infertility are the dogmas of atheists which lead to extinction
Why So Blue: Liberal Women are Less Happy, More Lonely. But Why?
Young conservative women are three times as likely to report being very satisfied with life compared to young liberal women.
These two factors, church and marriage, account for about half the ideological gap among young women in a multivariate analysis of life satisfaction that included controls for factors like race, education, and income.
Liberal young women are less likely to be integrated into core American institutions—marriage and religion—that lend meaning, direction, and a sense of solidarity to women’s lives.
Yes, new evidence from 2024 American Family Survey indicates it is. Young liberal women are markedly less satisfied with life than their conservative peers. Specifically, we found that 37% of conservative women reported being “completely satisfied” with life, whereas only 12% of liberal women did. Young conservative women are three times as likely to report being very satisfied with life compared to young liberal women. Moreover, liberal women are two to three times more likely to report they are “not satisfied” with their lives, compared to conservative women. And consistent with previous research, the effect of ideology on young women’s happiness held up to controls for age, education, race, and income.
Many of the most thoughtful interpreters—like Jonathan Haidt, Jean Twenge, and Matthew Yglesias—of this ideological divide in the emotional well-being of young women have pointed to the role that “catastrophizing” thinking has played in dragging down the spirits of liberal women. The idea is that taking an overly negative view of the world, and minimizing your own agency to navigate life, often inspired by social media, has taken a serious toll on young liberal women’s emotional health. That’s because, as Yglesias put it: “Mentally processing ambiguous events with a negative spin is just what depression is.”

So…what you’re saying is that the 48 cases of measles that were previously diagnosed are the fault of the new HHS secretary who was just sworn in?
Herd immunity needs to be 95% to prevent measles, which is highly contagious.
Unlawful migrants are not health checked, so we’re seeing a rise in infectious diseases like antibiotic-resistant TB, and measles. In addition, if a parent chooses not to vaccinate a child against measles, their child might get measles. There is also the rare breakthrough infection. A little girl in my son’s preschool got measles, even though she was vaccinated. She was one of the rare kiddos whose immune system did not develop protective immunity after the measles vaccine.
Do parents need the HHS secretary to tell them that most vaccines prevent illness? I didn’t know the name of most HHS secretaries, and they certainly didn’t figure into my own vaccine decisions. As for childhood vaccines, I could do without the Hep B vaccine for small children. Hep B is an STD, and those most at risk are intravenous drug users, MSM, sex workers, and other promiscuous people. Out of all the vaccines out there, including vital ones like the polio vaccine, to mandate a vaccine for an STD for elementary school kids is absurd. My son had such a bad reaction to the vaccine that his pediatrician advised us not to give him another one. The fact that he had a bad reaction to one of his vaccines brought home the importance of having the right to say no.
Vaccines protect the vaccinated. When a vaccine is efficacious, like the Polio, tetanus, or measles vaccine, then you are protected even if you walk through a pea soup international airport full of those contagions. You don’t need to know the polio vaccination status of everyone in the public swimming pool.
There is also a clear difference between vaccines. The Covid vaccine does not protect the recipient from disease, nor does it prevent spreading the disease. Mandating it was not scientifically based.
While I agree with most childhood vaccines, all it takes is for one vaccine to become mandatory, that you believe is not safe for your child, for you to understand why you need the right to decline. If a vaccine worked, then unvaccinated kids cannot spread the disease to vaccinated kids.
The only way, THE ONLY WAY, this will stop is to take away ALL the agencies money. If a judge says to stop taking the money away, ignore the judge. They have NO authority and no power to enforce. We need to close (not reduce) any federal agency not SPECIFICALLY authorized in Article One Section Eight of the Constitution. That includes the EPA, FDA, DOE, DOL, HHS, ATF, just as a start.
Yes, get rid of EPA, Put a dairy next to your house, let the cows poop in your backyard. MAGA. Drink that pee water. Smell that wonderful aroma of cow and pig pee and poop. Let that factory pollute your streams and lakes, who needs clean anything. MAGA
The sky is falling…THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!
They tried to get rid of Amish natural foods and raw milk, they were prosecuting AMOS who had a 100 percent clean record of providing natural food.
Robert Barnes outlined the crimes by your beloved EPA and FDA and BLM the illegal draconian enforcement. The Amish of Pennsylvania rallied and helped elect Trump in response.
Your out of control fed agencies helped crush biden and kamala and elect Trump. We see you have no grasp of the agency you just supported doing any good for the public so you make up a ridiculous story. Why would we have confidence in you or them, why should either of you ever be listened to ?
Don’t we have courts of law and competent lawyers?
What the —- do we need the unconstitutional EPA for?
You obviously aren’t old enough to remember rivers ablaze from the direct discharge of solvents from industrial plants. You also may not remember the Love Canal that poisoned complete communities. That is why America needs a common sense environmental protection agency. Greedy Pigs have to be herded or the will shit on everything as they devour the resources.
Congress has no power to tax for or fund the EPA per Article 1, Section 8.
Congress has no power to regulate the environment per Article 1, Section 8.
Prosecution and litigation are matters for courts of law.
All pollution and perpetrators are local.

It’s amazing how some people have to show how lacking in knowledge they really are.
Art, I’m an old guy and it seems to me that when I was young this country ran mostly by state government. Now the control has been moved to the feds in Washington and not under the government control but by bunch of non elected bureaucrats.

I am sensing a “Love Connection”..💖
Oh goodness! Thank you! Though I do think you give me far too much credit as I just correct typos and rarely need to correct punctuation. Professor Turley is an excellent writer and his writing certainly deserves to be typo-free!
Did Hunter Biden leverage his experience in Ukraine’s oil industry to that of a electric bus company?
I hope Bondi prosecutes these thieves.
We should always judge policies by their results, not by their intent. I suspect that there were few (if any) of these projects that were subject to a proper cost-benefits analysis much less a risk assessment.
Why would the US government ‘invest’ $160MM in a Canadian company?
Because their manufacturing facility is in Illinois where they employ American workers.
#1 Then they can purchase them from the US. That would be normal.
Lion Electric opened a manufacturing facility in Joliet, Illinois, July 21, 2023. By December, 2024, they received Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) protection and debtor-in-posession (DIP) financing, in Canada, By January 3, 2025, they laid off employees in both Canada and the US. They had been contracted to provide electric school buses to school districts in multiple states, but failed to do so, despite receiving $160 million in taxpayer money.
Lion Electric had financially struggled for years, yet the Biden EPA gave them a lump sump payment.
https://freebeacon.com/energy/bidens-favorite-ev-bus-maker-is-nearing-bankruptcy-and-producing-no-buses-leaving-tens-of-millions-of-taxpayer-dollars-in-limbo/
“It also underscores a familiar dynamic surrounding such programs—green energy companies like Lion are dependent on government funding and often fail even after winning lucrative government contracts. In the case of electric school buses, 67 percent of the planned electric school buses in the United States have been funded by the federal government, according to an analysis conducted by the World Resources Institute.
“The problem is they were dealing with so much money and they were trying to get it out so fast that they probably cut a lot of corners,” Andrew Wheeler, who led the EPA during the first Trump administration, told the Free Beacon in an interview. “It doesn’t surprise me at all that companies that received funding are going bankrupt or are going under.”
Between October 2022 and May 2024, the Biden administration awarded Lion a total of $159 million to manufacture 435 buses under the EPA’s $5 billion Clean School Bus program. That makes Lion the third-largest beneficiary of the program, which was created by Democrats’ 2021 infrastructure bill and later emerged as a hallmark climate initiative of both Joe Biden’s presidency and Kamala Harris’s vice presidency.”
I am mordacious opposed to government investment in favored industries as those ‘investments’ are not based on financial performance or verified prognoses, but on political preference. The EPA is not an investment company and it has no idea how to evaluate the rationality of investments as demonstrated by this $160MM loss. But then, it is easy to be careless with other people’s money. Investing is not a function of government. WE don’t imply the best of the best in government and obviously there is an enormous lack of accountability and oversight. Trump is absolutely justified in freezing expenditures until a follow-up review has been conducted to establish its rationale.
