Before the State of the Union, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) joined other leaders in promising Americans that the Democrats will unleash a revenge tour after taking power in November, pledging to start throwing Trump people in jail when they retake Congress. Murphy went on MS NOW to feed the rage addiction that has taken over his party.
We recently discussed how Susan Rice joined the mob in stating that “When it comes to the elites, you know, the corporate interests, the law firms, the universities, the media … it’s not going to end well for them.”
She followed other Democrats, assuring voters that, if they returned Democrats to power, they would crack down on their political opponents.
Republicans and law enforcement are now regularly called “Nazis” and “fascists” by Democratic leaders. Some are promising arrests from the President to individual police officers. Last week, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner promised to “hunt down” ICE officers like “Nazis.” Democratic strategist James Carville previously threatened that “collaborators” may be treated in the same way as they were after World War II.
Gov. Tim Walz, who has called ICE officers “Gestapo,” said that this may be our “Fort Sumter” moment, a triggering event for a civil war that killed hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Democratic members have been warned that they have to join the mob or be devoured by it. Bravo star and liberal podcast host Jennifer Welch praised footage of a “No Kings” protester celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk. After playing the clip, Welch laughed with joy and declared, “So listen up, Democratic establishment. You can either jump on board with this s—, or we’re coming after you in the same way that we come after MAGA. Period.”
Murphy clearly got the message and added his voice in declaring that “they’re going to get their clocks cleaned this November, and a bunch of people are probably gonna end up going to jail.”
It is a curious pledge, since the Democrats could retake the House and Senate in November. That would not give them the ability to throw people into jail even if they had actual crimes to charge.
What is clear is that the Democratic Party has now decided to try to ride the rage wave to power, leading the mob with such reckless rhetoric. -0 migrants entering the US. According to CBP, 6,000 migrants were apprehended last month, which are only the ones who were apprehended;
-more Americans working than ever. Because of population growtn, the correct measure for comparison purposes is the labor force participation rate, which was 62.5%, identical to the rate when Biden left office. AND, unemployment has risen under Trump–it was 4.3% in December, up from 4.1% when Biden left office.
-new investment claims. Trump claimed $18 trillion in new investment, with no proof of any firm commitments. Just 3 months ago, in November, 2025, Trump claimed there was $9.6 trillion in new investment, which included commitments made when Biden was in office. Corporate investment levels are unchanged from when Biden was in office.
-price of gasoline–Trump lied by claiming that the price of gas was “below” $2.30 per gallon–other than an isolated area in Oklahoma, gas prices are much higher everywhere else in the US.
-Somalis “pillaged” $19 billion from taxpayers in Minnesota. That figure consists of all aid sent to Minnesota, not all of which went to Somali enterprises, and there’s no evidence that it was all fraudulent.
-tariffs are paid by foreign countries. The Federal Reserve says 90% of the cost of tariffs is borne by American consumers, and the rest is eaten by the importers. The SCOTUS says that tariffs are a tax on the American people. Trump just can’t stop telling this lie.
-tariff revenue will offsent taxes. Tariffs couldn’t offset taxes even if they were at the rate of 50% across the board. At 50%, that would only equal 40% of current tax revenues. 2024 tarifs equaled only 1.7% of total federal revenue.
-most favored nation policy means a precipitious drop in the cost of prescription drugs. There is no evidence for this or that anything Trump did will substantially lower prescription drug costs.
-egg and grocery prices: egg prices are lower because the bird flu epidemic that required destruction of large numbers of chickens is over and the population of the flock is catching up. However, chicken prices are not lower. Prices on other grocery items are not “lower by a lot” as Trump lied about–Grocery prices are up 2.4% since Biden left office.
-price of new vehicles–has not changed substantially from when Biden left office.
-election cheating by illegals voting is NOT “rampant”. The Heritage Foundation investigated and found that there were 85 cases in the 20 years from 2002 to 2023.
-shutdown of DHS “means nobody’s getting paid”. CBS and ICE agents are being paid from prior appropriations. Other DHS workers are working without pay.
–Inflation–Trump claims that inflation under Biden “was the worst in history”. Inflation rates in the 1970’s and 1980’s was between 12 and 14%. When Biden left office, it was 3%. Core inflation, which excludes food and eneergy costs was 2.5% in November and December of 2025, but was only 1.6% in 2021. So, this is just another made up lie.
-children are being “ripped from parents’ arms” and forced by states to undergo gender transition. This does not happen. No state allows this.
-Trump ended 8 wars. There were some ceasefires that the US had some involvement in discussions for resolution, but there were no actual “wars” that Trump “ended”. Most of the conflicts remain unresolved. Fighting between Rwanda and Congo continues and there remain unresolved conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia as well as India and Pakistan. Serbia and Kosovo have not enter into any agreements.
-Iranian protester fatality numbers–Trump says 32,000, but reliable sources say 3,117–nowhere near Trump’s number.
Trump just can’t seem to stop lying, stop bragging about nonexistent accomplishments, or stop aggrandizing. It’s truly sickening to watch.

Of the 980,000 deported last year – 700,000 had criminal convictions – elsewhere in the world, or had criminal charges pending in the US, or were known to be members of criminal gang. While the number of violent convicted murderers is only in the 10’s of thousands, these people are still criminals.

You get asylum if the GOVERNMENT of your country is a threat to your life and you are not guilty of a crime.
The US grants about 25,000 asylum requests a year – that is less than 5% of all valid requests.
Further you can NOT ask for assylum if you did not do so at a US consulate or Border Checkpoint. If you enter illegally and you are caught you will be deported without an assylum hearing.
Biden granted hundreds of thousands of people temporary protective status. That is NOT assylum and it is as the name says – Temporary.

Regardless when that expires – you MUST leave. You are no longer in the country legally.

Those with TPS status who entered legally – will eventually be deported, but if they fight they can delay possibly for years.
Those who did not enter illegally are in exactly the same situation as anyone else who entered illegally.

Generally someone Like Abrego Garcia who can establish that his return to his home country is a danger to himself or his family can get a protective order preventing deportation to that country, but that is not a grant of assylum. He can be deported to other countries once DHS finds a country that will take him.

What you call “sweeps” is ICE moving large numbers of agents from major metro region to major metro region.
They have done this 15 times so far and only had problems in LA and Minneapolis. With Minneapolis being by far the worst.
Regardless, they put between 500-3000 agents in a city and then send them out with arrest warrants for SPECIFIC people.
And they go to the home or workplace or other location they beleive they can find THAT person, When they find them they detain and remove them. Often the also find others who are in the US illegally living wih, or working with the person they have the warrant for.
When they have verified that person is in the US illegally they detain them too.
This is NOT like the Obama “sweeps” where he sent ICE to raid major employers and arressted hundreds of illegals at a time.
Trump’s approach is far less disruptive economically – even when 1000 people are deported in a week, they do not all come from one employer, Businesses are not shutdown.
Regardless the FACT is the vast majority being detained and deported are done using Warrants, not raids, or sweeps.
That said the 4th amendment and US search and seizure law allow the arrest of people without a warrant, when the officer has probable cause they have violated the law, allws temporarily detaining someone and asking for ID when their is reasonable suspicion the person violated the law.
MOST of us KNOW this – though we rarely think about it. If you have ever been stopped by an officer for a traffic violation – you must produce identification, and the officer can conduct SOME inquiry to determine if there is a basis to Arrest rather than cite you.
Everyone in a car that has been stopped can be asked for ID, and though not common anymore you can be held until you provide ID – evern if you were not the driver. Why isn’t it common anymore ? Because the police (and ICE) can typically go to their Cruizer and within a few minutes establish your ID. ICE is breifly detaining a very small number of people who are US citizens – less than 1 in 10,00 people detained,
and releasing them once their identity is confirmed – usually about 15-20 minutes. ICE has similar capabilities to identify illegals.
As MANY people who entered the US illegally registered on Biden’s CBP app – ICE has the names photo and other information on all those people.
We are seeing massive use of facial recognition for law enforcement. Violent protestors are being identified by comparing multiple images of them at the riot they participated in with social media images, and then getting search and arrest warrants where they gather further proof of identity.

There are atleast 2M Known criminal illegal aliens with outstanding deportation orders. These are the targets of ICE actions. Approximately 3 times in 10 they manage to pick someone else up. Is there some stylistic difference ? Yes – Obama sent ICE to raid factories, for the most part Trump has avoided large scale raids or employers instead individually going after those for whom final deportation orders have been issued.
One of the reasons for this is that 90 days after a final deportation order is issued, that person when arrested is only entitled to a habeaus hearing – which they will lose and which can be done in 48hrs, and then they are on a plane for HOME.
Trump has not until recently had funding to increase the capacity of detention fascilities. If ICE picks up 2000 people per day it must put 2000 people per day onto a plane or the available detention fascilities will fill and no more arrests can be made.
In Jan 2025 the detention capacity was 65,000 – that meant ICE could sustain deportations of 2000/day if and only if they were not detained longer than 30 days.
Left wing nut courts are stalling hundreds of deportations. But that is a small fraction of total deportations.
DHS/ICE can continue to deport 2000/day for the foreseable future even with the opposition they are facing.
Currently there are 3M final deportation orders. These are people who have had all the due process that the law entitles them to.
With thousands of new final deportation orders issued each day. ICE is not going to be able to catch up in the next 3 years.

Only if they committed actual, verifiable crimes, and the majority of us support that, because we believe in the rule of law (pro tip: this is a legal blog, not a political blog; naturally, at times, they overlap, but not always). Crimes do not seem to any longer be a thing for the modern left even as a concept but as for a tool for recrimination or revenge, and over the past 10 years, 90% of the time they are either stretching like personal injury attorneys or outright fabricating, which does indeed come out eventually in the legal wash .You are an idiot(s).
