Nuptials or Cannibals? Bride Serves Up Self to Celebrate Wedding

Ok, this has absolutely nothing to do with the law or policy.  However, there must be some deeper social question revealed from this photograph of a bride, Chidi Ogbuta of Texas, who had herself sculpted into a full-size wedding cake.

This reminds me of a Bar Mitzvah that my mother attended where the boy’s head was scalped out of chopped liver and the guests proceeded to carve him up in the celebration.  For pictures, click here

    What are WE, chopped livah…?

I wanna see the pic, JT.

Maybe it was an editorial, of sorts – the sentiment being
    “Bite me”.

Who said there’s no accounting for taste!

I put in a new link for the picture since the first had problems. What is missing is an “after” picture to go with the “before” pic. It is something out of the Jeffrey Dahmer wedding planner.

    Yikes! I’m stunned.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

    Thank you, Jonathan.

I hate to be the grammer police, but don’t you mean “sculpted” not “scalped”? I had visions of a B rated horror movie…..

Freudian scalping, though the final picture does show Chidi Ogbuta’s husband going after her double with a large knife.

I was being polite, Hugh. ‘Sculpt’ sounds like scalped.

You’re right to have filed it under the “Bizarre” topic heading, Professor. Ya gotta give kudos to the baker, though. It was a pretty good likeness. I’ll bet THEY had some interesting comments during the production process.

Takes “self absorbed” to a whole new level.
