Rhode Island Teacher Sets Himself on Fire After Being Fired

thumb_firefighting_dripping_gas_canA special education teacher in Providence, Rhode Island set himself on fire after he was fired from Lincoln High School. He had crashed his car into the side of the school and then, pushing away other teachers, dosed himself with gas and set himself ablaze.

Paul died from the injuries. Other teachers report that they tried to help him out of the car but he kept referring to the fact that he was just fired.

Pam Falcone quoted him as saying, “He fired me. I can’t believe he fired me.”
The school administration had fired him and told staff to call security if he tried ot re-enter the building.
