From Massachusetts: Mug Shot of the Week

Submitted by Elaine Magliaro, Guest Blogger

Tara L. Tobin, a 20-year-old woman from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, decided to “mug” for her mug shot after police arrested her for drunk driving recently.

Tobin’s mug shot brought to mind Carl Sandburg’s poem “Phizzog.”

This face you got,
This here phizzog you carry around,
You never picked it out for youself at all, at all—did you?
This here phizzog—somebody handed it to you—am I right?
Somebody said, “Here’s yours, now go see what you can do with it.”

You can read the rest of the poem here.

Wouldn’t you just love to open the local paper and see that picture of your daughter in the police blotter section! Yikes!

    One day she’ll be a mother … pay back’s a ….

  2. Buckeye,

If you’ve seen that horrible version of “The Hulk”, you can see that in one scene he is indeed wearing the same Hawaiian print shirt he was arrested in.

Not that if I had that as an excuse for such a bad mug shot I wouldn’t take it either. 😉

  3. I wonder if she even remembered the mug shot? I had a client call me from jail after a DUI(DWI) and the next day in my office he didn’t even remember talking to me the day before!

  4. BIL

That’s his story and he’s sticking to it. 🙂

Maybe this gal was in a local little theater production? Nanny McPhee?

  6. Buckeye,

In defense of Nolte? He’s outfitted for his role in “The Hulk” when that shot was taken.
