It turns out Barack Obama is . . . is . . . a citizen. The White House has released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate to put the growing controversy to rest over his birth. Many of us have been critical of the birther conspiracy theories. However, I am not sure why the White House did not do this earlier since it addresses the allegations fully. It will be interesting to see that, now that Obama has produced the certificate, if the movement for state ballot laws declines. While it has been repeatedly stated that the laws are not about Obama, but we will see.
The long-form clearly states the date and other information. It also includes the name of Obama’s father — a focus of recent suggestions that the reason for withholding the document was the name of a different man or the inclusion of Muslim for religion.
Donald Trump immediately took credit for the disclosure stating, “Today, I’m very proud of myself, because I’ve accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish,” Trump told reporters. “Why he didn’t do it when everybody else was asking for it, I don’t know. But I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in hopefully, hopefully getting rid of this issue.”
I am not sure why the White House held on to the document. One theory could be that they knew it would blow up in the faces of Obama’s critics. However, it has served to rally critics for years. Those critics are not likely to register with the DNC now. They are likely to move on to other claims against Obama.
Perhaps now that he clearly was born in Hawaii, they will now claim that his is part of the Hawaiian royalty and thus making him ineligible as the holder of a foreign ennoblement.

Unless you’ve been hiding under your bed or in your mother’s basement, while unemployment is still high, it is down to 8.8%. Yes, the recovery is slow, but the economy is improving and is expected to continue to improve. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, dear.

You do realize that it is the banks who are unwilling to work with homeowner’s so they can keep their homes, not Obama … I’ve worked in real estate; I currently work in bankruptcy. It’s not Obama who is denying loan modifications, but the banks, the same banks who “We The People” bailed out.

I know enough about Perry to know he’s a pussy and a hypocrite. He wanted the stimulus money to pay down debt he incurred, not provide the state’s communities with what they need to ensure that said communities didn’t slide further down the shit-hole. When Perry was told no, he couldn’t pay down the debt he incurred, he stamped his feet and held his breath like the child he is. He’s always claiming that TexASS doesn’t need the federal government, that TexASS is self-sufficient. Bullocks. Perry is nothing more than a hypocritical coward who demonizes the federal government because he can’t get his way but is the first in line with his hand out when he realizes that for all his foolish blustering, the federal government does have its purpose. In short, Perry’s a dick.

The district court ruled that Mr. Wong was a NBC. The opposition argued that if the decision was upheld, then Mr. Wong could run for president. The SCOTUS agreed – and upheld the decision. Ergo, according to the SCOTUS, Mr. Wong was a natural born citizen.
I could cherry mine quotes to show that all of this is correct, but a stupid, ignorant, racist like yourself isn’t worth the effort (read the text of both decisions and it will be clear – unless you are a moron). Texas whine: Why does Obama love Alabama more?
Last year, Gov. Rick Perry was talking secession. Now, with fires raging, a federal handout doesn’t look so bad

With God apparently unmoved by Texas’s official declaration of three days of prayer for rain, Governor Rick Perry has turned his attention to another awesome potentate — President Obama.
Specifically, Perry wants Obama to declare a federal state of emergency, which would allow Texas to recoup some 75 percent of the funds it is spending to combat devastating wildfires. But Perry is griping that despite having sent in his application on April 25th, Obama still hasn’t acted. Meanwhile, tornado-wracked Alabama was lavished with immediate state-of-emergency love.
“You have to ask, ‘Why are you taking care of Alabama and other states?’ I know our letter didn’t get lost in the mail,” Perry, a Republican and frequent critic of the federal government, said after addressing a Texas emergency management conference.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has already authorized 20 emergency declarations for individual fires in Texas. But the obvious implication of the “you have to ask” phrasing is that Obama is delaying a statewide declaration as some kind of punishment for Texas, possibly in retaliation for its governor’s well-publicized antipathy to the current administration.
That seems unlikely — although one could understand why the president might be a bit peeved at the governor. A year ago, Perry was rejecting federal stimulus aid that would shore up Texas’ unemployment trust fund, and firing up Tea Party audiences with talk of secession. But now, when disaster hits, suddenly he’s looking for federal handouts! Somehow, I’ts OK to ask for aid when fires are burning, but not when a financial meltdown has thrown millions of out of work.
Adding a further layer of irony, the Christian Science Monitor reports that “the state legislature, meanwhile, recently proposed slicing $34 million out of the Texas Forest Service’s $109 million biennial budget, with most of the cuts coming from training and equipment grants for volunteer crews who deal with wildfires.”
And finally, if Obama really was looking to punish states for their recalcitrant rejection of his agenda, wouldn’t Alabama be at the top of his list? I can’t think of a single senator who has been more obstructive to everything the White House wanted to do over the last two years than Richard Shelby, the ranking Republican on the Senate Banking Committee. Jeff Sessions isn’t far behind. Rick Perry has been annoying, but Shelby and Sessions have real power.

Being a dual citizen at birth no more impairs President Obama’s eligibility than it impaired Veep Agnew’s. You can’t find the Constitution or the SCOTUS saying differently. The only person I know of that the SCOTUS declared to be a natural born citizen is Wong Kim Ark and President Obama would have to be considered at least as much a citizen as Mr. Wong (if not more – President Obama’s mother was a US citizen…). Sorry, but you’ve got a 7 high and I’ve got a Royal Flush – and you’re trying to bluff.
