Coley Mitchell, 32, has been arrested after he was found drunk with his pants down in a campus locker room with two lab monkeys at the Georgia Health Sciences University. The charge of public intoxication is interesting since he was presumably working at the lab.
It appears that the law applies to such areas and even applies to private dwellings that are not your own. Here is the Georgia provision:
(a) A person who shall be and appear in an intoxicated condition in any public place or within the curtilage of any private residence not his own other than by invitation of the owner or lawful occupant, which condition is made manifest by boisterousness, by indecent condition or act, or by vulgar, profane, loud, or unbecoming language, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
Police say that they found Mitchell with his pants down and two monkeys running around out of their cages in a locker room in the Sanders Research and Education Building.
