Ted Nugent Unleashes Rabid Anti-Semitic Rant Over Gun Control

Right-wing rocker Ted Nugent has never been the paragon of stability or reason. However, few were prepared for his raving attack on Jewish leaders who favor gun control. On his Facebook page, posted pictures of Michael Bloomberg, Sen. Charles Schumer, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and other leaders next to an Israeli flag under the banner “So who is really behind gun control?” The answer, according to Nugent, is the chillingly familiar: “the Jews.” This controversy seems to mystify Nugent who later wrote “What sort of racist prejudiced POS could possibly not know that Jews for guncontrol are nazis in disguise?”

The posting of the images was accompanied by the statement:

“Know these punks. They hate freedom, they hate good over evil, they would deny us the basic human right to self defense & to KEEP & BEAR ARMS while many of them have tax paid hired ARMED security! Know them well. Tell every you know how evil they are. Let us raise maximum hell to shut them down!”

After a chorus of criticism, Nugent responded with an equally anti-Semitic diatribe:

“Just when you hope that mankind couldnt possibly get any dumber or more dishonest, superFreaks rise to the occasion. What sort of racist prejudiced (piece of shit) could possibly not know that Jews for guncontrol are nazis in disguise? “NEVER AGAIN!” Anyone? Anyone?? (Are you fucking kidding me?)”

He later added:

“The NEVER AGAIN battlecry was universally embraced by all good people who will make sure another Holocaust never happens again. Freaks have plummeted to whole new low. Plummet on punks. Plummet on. Meanwhile I adjust my yamika at my barmitzva playing my kosher guitar. My dad killed nazis & saved Jews in WWII. Eat me.”

Putting aside that this rant has become barely intelligible, Nugent’s hateful views are breathtaking. While he has been a darling with some on the political right, this posting exposes him as a true lunatic. I suppose that paranoia can be traced back to Nugent’s Cat Scratch Fever hit:

“Well, I don’t know where they come from but they sure do come
I hope they comin’ for me”

  1. Philly T. As far as I know, Ali never went to jail for refusing to be inducted.
He paid a big price by losing 3 to 3 1/2 years of his prime boxing years, when he wss not allowed to box.
I don’t think the Supreme Court overturned Ali’s conviction by ruling on whether he actually had legimate C. O. status.
Nation of Islam members were not known as pascifists, and those who actually received C.O. status had to demonstrate opposition to all warfare, not objection to a particular war.
As I remember, the S. Court overturned his conviction because it ruled that the government improperly handled Ali’s appeals process, and not because they considered him to legally be a legitimate C.O.

  2. po – it is the same problem as “is being anti-Zionist being anti-Semitic?” Nugent has described a group of people (named and shamed). I think he is opposed to a specific group of people, not all Jews.

  3. I am now confused…if Ted takes Israel’s side against Hamas and Palestinians, is he really antisemitic…?
    ————————————
“Peace can sometimes only be achieved through superior firepower. The civilized world must completely support Israel in their efforts to exterminate Hamas and end its operations for good and all. What say you, Mr. President-elect? Whose side are you on?”

  4. Ralph Adamo,

The “strongest 2nd amendment defenders” are the American Founding Fathers and the Preamble, Constitution and Bill of Rights.

It is a fraud to imply that the first ten amendments, or the Bill of Rights, are challengeable or unconstitutional since the Father of the Constitution wrote them.

While Crazy Abe Lincoln’s et al. “Reconstruction Amendments” are irrefutably unconstitutional (no law or amendment may be brought for the benefit of “property” without standing or citizens of a foreign country or citizen of no country, for whom the penalty is deportation), as is the antithetical and contradictory 19th amendment which allows the vote of women to incoherently nullify the vote of their husbands or double the vote of their husbands and to allow the vote of abnormal “unmarried” people, the first ten amendments are as fundamental as the Constitution itself. These actual, real and authentic amendments don’t modify but clarify for the benefit of pretenders who don’t want to “understand” the words of the Constitution but “interpret” them.

“…the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

That’s the constitution as amendment written by the Father of the Constitution and immutable.

This is an entirely separate and dependent clause or rationale:

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state,”

  5. The end result of all this is that the only people in Nugent’s corner are Neo-Nazis, so you’ll have the David Dukes of the US applauding him, but nobody else. The fact that the NRA has not condemned, nor criticized him in any way also will have the impact of weakening support for the NRA, as many of the strongest Second Amendment defenders have soundly and broadly attacked Nugent for his anti-Jewish and anti-Israel rant.

Additionally, Nugent is a clear nut case. His Neo-Nazi photo composite includes a photo of former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg and he is identified in the picture as a “9/11 Israeli agent” — which is Neo-Nazi shorthand for claiming that the 9/11 attacks were not only committed by Israel, but that Bloomberg helped the Israelis to carry the crimes out as an “Israeli agent.” Anyone who seriously believes any of that crap is a total nut. Nugent not only needs to shut up, but he needs commit himself to a psychiatric hospital for intensive observation and treatment.

    1. Ralph, you have said worse things than Ted did!
I wonder what that makes you… or is yours justifiable?

  6. Off topic but question… Where were the German men during the Cologne, Germany rape spree? I don’t know but this is where the Russian men were. 😉 File this under ‘How it’s done”.i

  7. Cassius Clay was not a draft dodger. He refused to serve the war machine and went to jail for it.

You must be thinking of Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove and the slew of other chicken hawks who couldn’t wait to send others to war.

  8. For you so-called people out there that support Ted Nugget, why don’t you just bring back those arm bands and flags of Nazi and fascism and get it over with already? Then I’m sure your going to “Make America great again”.

  9. “I am amazed that anybody listens to the draft dodging coward Nugent. He is a fitting model for Texas GOPers who love him despite all of his rants and bigotry.”

Sounds like someone craves the love of Ted Nugent – or is that green envy?

Cassius Clay was a draft dodger. Everybody was a draft dodger – some succeeded and some failed. People rich enough to pay for college got deferments.

Freedom of Speech includes freedom of thought which may be published under the Freedom of the Press. That sounds a lot like “rants and bigotry” as I read this incoherent rant.

“Bigotry” sounds a heck of a lot like freedom and freedom of thought and freedom of speech and freedom of the press to me. Where does the Preamble, Constitution or Bill of Rights say we can’t be bigoted or otherwise opinionated or of various religious “beliefs,” no matter how bizarre?

Under the Constitution, might Americans hold any opinions at all?

    big-ot-ry

    [big-uh-tree]
    noun, plural bigotries.

    1. stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one’s own.

The opposite of the Freedom of Bigotry is Dictatorship. Looks like the Dictators have a desire to force people to believe what they tell them.

Imagine that. Right here in the land of the free and the home of the brave, the collectivist, redistributionist liberals want to deny and nullify our freedom to be Bigots.

Next thing you know, free Americans won’t be able to observe the differences of races and the government will impose the antithetical and unconstitutional bias that is affirmative action. Neighborhoods will have percentages of minorities assigned to them. Oops. They already do. “Low-income” and “affordable” housing.

Can you say, “Social Engineering?” Hello, Comrades.

    Ain’t freedom great?

  10. stevegroen,

Reagan was addressing a farm industry/labor issue. Reagan didn’t operate in a vacuum. Hitler did. Reagan had to give to receive. For crying out loud, Reagan had to deal with a completely communist legislative branch and the head communist, Tip O’Neill. Reagan apologized for his “mistake,” amnesty. BTW, Reagan was promised there would only ever be that ONE tiny amnesty and look where the “incrementalist” communists who call themselves democrats have us today.

Reagan would not have repeated his two big mistakes.

Former Attorney General Edwin Meese, “Reagan always learned from those things that didn’t go the way he expected, so I’m sure that he would appreciate the fact that amnesty did not work.”

AUGUSTA, Ga., Oct. 21— President Reagan believes that sentiment for a Federal holiday for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is ”based on an image, not reality,” according to a letter he wrote to former Gov. Meldrum Thomson Jr. of New Hampshire. The letter to Mr. Thomson was sent Oct. 3 in response to his plea that the President veto the proposed holiday. Mr. Reagan expressed his private reservations before publicly reversing his opposition and agreeing to approve the holiday.

“Between us and the Catholic Church, we’ve trashed every country from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego, so I can’t blame them for emigrating.”

It’s not “emigration,” it’s invasion. The hordes are coming, the barbarians are at the gate to take what is not theirs. It’s a dangerous, violent world. What do you imagine the North Koreans and their allies, Iran, are gong to do with the ICBM they launched and the military satellite they placed in orbit a few days ago?

While we require global intelligence, the limitation on government delineated in the Preamble, to provide only for the “Common Defence,” should have precluded any “trashing” or military/intell operations in S. America just as “too big to fail,” AKA corporate welfare, was unconstitutional intervention in free enterprise and markets, AKA Central Planning and Control of the Means of Production – pure unconstitutional communism.

    1. John: Unconstitutional communism? You were doing so well on the Article II citizenship issue, too.

I’m surprised Reagan recalled any of what he believed to be his mistakes.

    2. And while I’m at it, I remember that movie, “The hordes are coming! The hordes are coming!,” starring Alan Arkin, Eva Saint Marie, Jonathan Winters, and Carl Reiner. A lovely film which rang true as much today as it did then.

It”s beyond me why your abject mindset centers on fear of illegal immigration when at the rate we’re going the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets will drown us anyway by mid-century.

Wrap your priorities around unconstitutional climate change.

  11. I am amazed that anybody listens to the draft dodging coward Nugent. He is a fitting model for Texas GOPers who love him despite all of his rants and bigotry. It is the same way with the fools who are in the GOP who have no problem trumping up false charges against their opponents while ignoring the criminal conduct of their own elected officials. The AG of Texas is going to trial for multiple felonies, yet no GOP official has yet to ask him to step down, nor has Turley even mentioned this in any post. Yet we were treated to many calls for a woman DA in Austin to resign for a DUI arrest, which is a misdemeanor if she is convicted. It seems only those who are Democrats are treated to a FAR different standard. If she would change parties, and get another DUI, the GOP could run her for President of VP as in W Bush and Cheney. I think even MAAD would endorse her too.

    1. randyjet – seems to me that Bill Clinton was both a draft dodger and a rapist but somehow he was elected President.

  12. The 2nd Amendment actually includes the words “Well Regulated” in the actual amendment. If someone says they are a “2nd Amendment supporter” they are making a constitutional argument not a political argument for the voters.

It’s ironic that many 2nd Amendment supporters had no problem whatsoever allowing the Bush Administration to violate every other amendment in our Bill of Rights, but now are concerned about sacrificing their own liberty for a perception of more security (as Ben Franklin warned us about).

Even today many 2nd Amendment supporters still support torture, kidnappings, assassinations, Guantanamo, kangaroo terrorism courts, warrantless wiretapping and Stasi style blacklisting – all without charge, judge, jury or guilty verdict and all violations of our U.S. Constitution.

The U.S. Constitution is a package deal – you get all of it or none of it – you can’t cherry-pick your favorite amendments. If gun rights supporters really wanted to help themselves, they should also stand up against violations of the other constitutional amendments as well like closing Guantanamo (which Republican leaders are blocking).

  13. SailorPeet :”In a 1977 High Times article, Nugent stated that he took crystal meth and defecated in his pants in order to avoid being drafted into the Vietnam War.”

True or not it’s a pretty brilliant idea. The main problem with using that strategy today is that the benevolent authorities of the collective common good would then take away your 2nd amendment right.

“And everyone living in North and South America are Americans.”

If 50 million illegal aliens in the U.S. are “citizens,” “natural born citizens” or Americans, why do liberals want to give them amnesty for their crimes rather than prosecute and impose the codified penalty of deportation? That dudn’t make any sense.

Also, is there a difference between a foreign-American, AKA hyphenated-American, an American citizen and an American?

If I go to China, will I be Chinese?

If I illegally invade China with large numbers of illegal Americans, will the Chinese become “yellows?”

    Ditto Japan or East Timor?

    1. John, re amnesty, you might want to ask Reagan why he signed the ’86 legislation to that effect. Beats the heck out of me, other than what I’ve said before, which is:

Between us and the Catholic Church, we’ve trashed every country from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego, so I can’t blame them for emigrating.

  15. stevegroen

Best laugh this week! That was awesome.

John R. Butler. Had to go look him up.

There’s a good knock knock Jesus somewhere, I’ll see if I can find. Same idea.

  16. QUOTE ” this posting exposes him as a true lunatic”

So your saying that these people in pix aren’t Jewish and are not for gun control?? Ted has posted lies?

I can’t speak for all of the pix posted but a few posted are rabid lunatic anti-gunners.

  17. It’s kind of funny and insane at the same time how religious conservative christians in the US “like” the Jews and support Israel, but only in as much as it fits in with their end-times superstitions.

They don’t even seem to mind that we give billions of dollars to Israel every year, a country where abortion is available pretty much on demand, and our dollars help to pay for it.
