As I have previously discussed, my house is hosting over a dozen family and friends who have come from around the country to join the protests today as part of the “Women’s March” in Washington. We know at least a dozen more local friends attending. I will not be one of them as I explained earlier. I respected those marching today for values that mean so much to them . . . and to many of us. There is obviously going to a sizable crowd — one that may dwarf the Inauguration attendance. I did note that, when I dropped off my brother Chris and his family this morning, the metro in McLean seemed much more crowded than it did yesterday for the Inauguration. Having spent a few days with protesters and celebrants at the Inauguration, I am struck by how hardened both sides are toward each other . . . and dismissive of the operative facts underlying this election. Both sides seem unwilling to recognize the flaws in their past positions while grotesquely distorting their view of the other side. It reminds me of Richard III and the advice of the Queen Mother, Margaret, on how to learn to hate as she sought to “teach thee how to curse.” It is simple, she explains, just “Think that thy babes were sweeter than they were, And he that slew them fouler than he is.”
Having spent time with both people supporting and protesting Trump, I have been saddened by the level of hate and lack of objectivity in conversations. Indeed, unless you demonize or idolize Trump, you are viewed as out of touch or naive or suspect in your views. Hillary is now sweeter than she was and Trump fouler than he is.
What is striking to me is how many have forgotten what brought about this election. Hillary Clinton is now portrayed as a selfless feminist and progressive who was defeated by angry white men despite the fact that she did worse with women than the prior two elections and barely won the female vote. While Trump is (correctly) criticized for failing to turn over his tax records, it is forgotten that Clinton refused to turn over her Wall Street speeches. While Trump is (correctly) criticized for contradictions in the media, it is ignore that Clinton continually changed her account for such issues as her reckless use of a personal server or other accounts. That is why I was highly critical of both candidates.
The reaction to the Inauguration speech was a good example of the hardening and loss of objectivity on both sides. I thought the speech was not particularly strong and did not offer a positive unifying theme. In the end, I thought it was a lost opportunity for Trump to transcend the campaign rhetoric in favor of an outline for his new approach to the nation’s problems and divisions. Yet, we have seen Trump supporters unwilling to even consider shortcomings in the speech while Clinton supporters like Chris Matthews bizarrely portray the speech as having “Hitlerian” elements. Likewise, when a friend who protested at the Inauguration criticized Trump supporters for mocking or disrespectful comments, I noted the over 200 arrested anti-Trump supporters and the property damage to the city. That ended the conversation. It is again all or nothing. Blue or Red. Again, to paraphrase Queen Margaret, one has to remember one’s friends as better than they were and one’s foes as worse than they are.
The Democrats had an opportunity to learn from this defeat. Clinton and Trump were the most unpopular politicians ever to be nominated for president and over 60 percent of voters viewed Clinton as fundamentally dishonest. Clinton has always had extremely high negatives and was carrying more baggage than Greyhound when the establishment effectively anointed her as their candidate. As shown by leaked emails, DNC figures like Debra Wasserman-Schultz and Donna Brazile worked against Bernie Sanders who presented precisely the populist campaign that many voters were looking for. Clinton had the Democratic establishment and many allies in the media — everyone agreed except the public. That was enough . . . until the voters had their say on November 8th. What is remarkable is how successful the Democratic establishment has been not only keeping their same leadership like Nancy Pelosi in place but convincing Democrats that (as suggested by Bill Clinton) it was just angry white men who determined the election. It is the same identity politics that led to the defeat. The effort is to direct all of that anger toward Trump rather than allow it to backfire on the party establishment.
I have many of the concerns as my family and friends about the future (particularly about the environment), but I am deeply disturbed by the effort to delegitimize this President and the effort to reconstruct history to fit a new narrative. The problem is not personalities but far more fundamental and serious. People felt that they do not matter in this system and they were right. Even with this populist election, not much has changed in Washington. So we are left with the same duopoly of power like the Yorks and Lancasters in the War of the Roses:
Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
And all the clouds that lour’d upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.

You are correct and that’s something they are enjoying after being enslaved for so many decades. However I might suggest you use the version we just employed in the USA on November 8th – the power of citizens protesting the same system protested by the Poles.
In the USA with our representative democracy base and our Constitutional Republic the citizens were and are again considered the ultimate source of power and the Constitution protects us against any one group usurping that power. We forgot that for a while…especially those that prevented a dictatorship.
Using the best of the two, originally Greek, ideas we were still able to beat back another completely foreign system that of a socialist autocracy. The citizens simply followed the rules and 55% of the votes that counted did the trick.
The experiment cost us 100 years and 20 trillion dollars still to pay off. The Poles paid with 50 years of the real deal enslavement and who knows how many dead by the same philosophy.
In the end we got off light. But as Ben Franklin said when asked what the founders had wrought with this new thing called a Constitution that featured self government by all citizens, “A Republic – if you can keep it.
And congratulations to the women of Poland.
You will require one of the partially born abortions when that was allowed was over fitting into a prom dress….struck me it would have been easier to fit in a diaphragm or something similar.
And what is it with this claptrap about Abortion being a woman’s health issue??? Murdering your unborn baby, even at 8 months and 3 weeks of gestation, is a health issue? Hogwash. Most of it is either some floozy not wanting to have to screw around changing diapers and wiping little snotty noses, or a financial matter where they simply can’t afford another mouth to feed. Both situations could be prevented by either abstinence or birth control.
Several of my friends have had an abortion. One got knocked up by her boss, who was already married with kids. Another was having sex with a part-time drug dealer loser type, who laid around her apartment and leeched off her. She did not think he would make a good father, although she thought for some stupid reason that he was suitable enough to go to bed with. The third just didn’t want to have to change her life for a baby, and all the work that comes along with it. She was just too busy partying.
All of which seem to me to be a result of gross irresponsibility and immaturity. Yeah, I guess the ability to keep from growing up is now a “health issue.”

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s mostly white women who have abortions.
Over 60% of the women in this country are white-Anglo and a large slice of hispanic women are caucasoid. I should think it unremarkable if most of the customers at abortion clinics were white.
In absolute numbers, yes. Because whites outnumber blacks. But proportionately more blacks abort:

Trump is a fascist and the mainstream media is hiding the truth! The media refuses to cover the heinous treatment of innocent anti-Trump protestors by the new Trump administration. Fortunately, some brave members of the media have secretly taken these newsreels of the horrible fascist-Trump response to the kindly, gentle, innocent protestors. I am honored to be able to share these with you:
Can you define fascism?
Can you state which part of the left to right contains the fascists? Here is a hint.
The extreme left contains International Socialism, National Socialism, Secular Progressive Socialism and garden variety sociaism It’s defining word is totalitarianism or autocracy. The opposite end is the lack of any government the extreme is anarchy varying degrees of as little government as possible.
Where would find the center?
The left is Government over people or citizens. The other side of the center is Citizens Over Government.
This varies depending on the country but in the USA how would you define the center and where would you most likely find fascism. While I’m at it what are the three main components of socialism?
If you are in one group you won’t be able to answer, if in another group won’t be allowed to answer or told how to answer and in a third it will be fingertip information.
I’m guessing…Group Two. But I could be wrong.
Sorry I forgot a key piece of information. I do not accept PC definitions. You will need to use standard English and not to worry I speak the Queen’s English as well as Gringo English.
Very apropos article on the hardening of the sides. The Left truly believes that those who voted for Trump were racist, anti-semitic (nevermnd that he is the first sitting President with a Jewish first family or that Benjamin Netanyahu dedicated a video to his good friend Trump), bigots, anti-woman, homophobic…choose your deplorable expletive. And believing this, they are truly petrified. They actually believe that Trump is going to send out the death vans, not figuratively, but literally. I have had family try to explain exactly that belief to me, resistant and offended at any contrary evidence. What is ironic is that their efforts to paint Trump as Hitler have been successful in generating a tidal wave of death threats…against the first Jewish First Family. Trump’s Jewish daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren are now in great danger because people actually believe Trump will usher in a literal Holocaust. The irony is heartbreaking.
And, of course, the right can get hard and refuse to accept any missteps on the part of Trump, which I find equally hard to understand.
People are not only no longer building bridges; they are throwing the existing ones into the water.
And it’s sad. I yearn for a return to rational discourse. And I’m tired of Liberals excusing their hatred with “it’s all Trump’s fault that things got so negative.” No, it’s not. The Left went negative hard and fast, and ad hominem is their prime debate strategy. Dehumanize your opponent and attribute evil tendencies has become so popular that people actually believe that more than half the country is suddenly racist. I’ve read an article where the author was afraid of his Southern white plumber for no other reason than that he was white and had an accent. And he felt like he’d had a close call! This is neurosis. And you also do not have to elevate Trump to the status of Christ to want to end pay to play.
Out of Trump’s speech, the part that hit me was where he said that politicians have gotten richer while we have gotten poorer. They do not care about us, they just care about themselves. That has resonated with me. It was certainly my experience with Obamacare. (Come on, did you really think I could get through this post without mentioning my nemesis, Obamacare?) To be fair, this also had echoes of the “it’s all the rich’s fault” rally cry of the Left. I do not think politicians are evil. I just want the money taken out of politics. And I want voters to experience a catharsis and realize that decade after decade, they have been promised a better life through big government that has never come to pass. They participate in the labor force less, it’s harder to find a good paying job, and the American Dream is becoming a pipe dream. At some point, you have to become suspicious of the “vote for me and I’ll fix all your problems” scheme.
But you are never going to get “rational discourse” if the other side’s whole point is an un-rational grab for power. Conservatives have to lose the very idea that the leadership of the Democratic Party, and the cadre of Democratic activists have any other intention than simply grabbing power. Rationality does not even enter into the picture.
That would be like expecting a person who has a gun on you and is demanding your money to respond to a call for rationality. It simply isn’t going to work. It’s not even apples and oranges. It’s like apples and a telephone pole. The guy with the gun just wants your money. Period.

Great quote Squeek. I consider myself a “daughter” of both Huxley and Orwell. Huxley wrote a lot about the “herd”
Animal Farm is another good one.
Squeeky,
I completely agree with your Orwell quote. I see this playing out in both parties.
Regarding your concern that rational discourse is impossible with Democrats, I disagree. There is a difference between regular people, your neighbors, and those in or desiring power. Regular people can discuss the issues honestly when a respectful and environment is available. I have to hold my tongue quite often, but a good question can lead someone where my diatribe would not–if not to my point of view, at least to the idea that we are not mortal enemies. 🙂
I don’t really see it a lot in conservative types. They have their silly bugaboos, like “Free Trade is great!” and “tort lawsuits drive up medical costs.” And it is difficult to change their minds on that kind of foolishness, but conservatives will at least engage in rational discourse.
Liberals and Democrats who are just everyday people – – – sometimes you can reach them. Because they really truly believe the rubbish that is being pushed on them from above, but are oblivious to the cynicism and naked-power aspects of the DNC Leadership, and the cadre of Democratic activists. They really believe that White Privilege is why so many blacks are dead broke, and living in horrible conditions. Or that opposition to uncontrolled illegal immigration is a racist thing. If you can break thru their tendency to name-call, or to resort to word salad blah-blah-blah, and make them actually deal with reality, and make them “connect up” some of their dots, then you can start to deprogram them. But it’s kind of like deprogramming a cult member. It’s rough going.
But they are reachable. And Thank Goodness!, because the “reachable ones” are the ones who elected Trump this time. But the more educated they are, the harder it is to get through, because their defense-mechanisms are so strong.

More independent thinking would go a long way toward solving problems in the world. Acting like parrots mindlessly repeating the loudest or most shocking sound bites of their masters without any understanding of the dialog before them accomplishes almost nothing. What solutions are offered? Aside from bleating rhetoric, what form of comprehensive reform or action are they offering?
Hoisting signs and yelling does not accomplish a goal. It only accomplishes holding up signs and yelling. It is those who take to leadership, or actually taking the time to advocate, writing, working, summoning ingenuity, willingness to mitigate or understand, and being intelligent about it who actually make positive change. Acting like fools, insulting people, and making ridiculous statements is counterproductive and serves only to drive away those who might otherwise be amenable to change or sympathetic.
Well said….and there’s still a lot to be said for the effectiveness of getting soundbites, slogans and celebrity endorsements into the mainstream discourse while other activists are doing the harder advocacy work behind the scenes.
Darren – what a great post.
I recall taking a communications course, in which the professor stated that it is the duty of the one communicating the message to do so in a way that reaches the audience. The audience has no duty or impetus to make an effort to understand or incorporate the message. It’s the speaker or author who has a desire to get a message across, so he or she must do so in a way that does not alienate the audience, and that entices thought and acceptance of the message.
Sorry a day late to the conversation but I wanted to follow up on your clear minded thoughts and observations.

They are protesting and saying “we will not be divided” — which is exactly what Democrats do with their “identity politics.” Trump is actually trying to say we are all “Americans” and the Democrats keep dividing us into victimized groups.
You just know Barack and Michelle are watching the Womens March on livestream from their vacation house in Palm Springs, California saying “Yes We Can”……they are not going away anytime soon.
Excellent summation in both comments. The Victimizers are – like buzzards – waiting for the next carcass. Let’s hope with these investigations back on track they are waiting for themselves.,
What do you mean by once these investigations are back on track they are waiting for themselves?
All the investigations IRS, FBI are unblocked at this point. The new charges involve the former Attorney General on the deal making with Bubba during that plane conversation. Since any or all of them can go forward and all the new Cabinet Secretaries including the new Attorney General have recused themselves where applicable it’s up to the investigating agencies. FBI, IRS (their’s never stopped) and my mind draws a blank the agency that works on fraudulent use of non profit foundations.
Which means that they are buzzards waiting on their own carcasses. If it is true IF it is true they moved the foundation funds out of the country they have some choices available. Brazil and Malaysia are two potential future homes. Or perhaps the nearest Uruguayan is it embassy?
The part of the investigations is factual and easily googled buzzard part is not and the money movement was reported back during the campaigns. when they started closing down the foundation.
The fat lady hasn’t come close to warming up her tonsils!
Good to know. I hope to see it move forward because the entire world knows they are sleezy criminals, but I don’t see them actually going after the Clinton’s and their Foundation. Trump said at the Inaugural luncheon that he really respected Bill and Hillary and asked the group to give them a standing ovation.

“I wore my ‘Don’t f with me’ jacket,” she said.
“I didn’t give up literally parts of my body to have the Constitution trampled on … to have them roll back our rights,” continued the senator, who lost her right leg near the hip and her left leg below the knee while serving as an Army helicopter pilot in Iraq. “You will not roll back our rights, not as long as we’re here, not as long as we’re breathing.”
Duckworth followed Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), who asked the crowd to work for a Congress that is 51 percent women, like the country.
Such a Congress, she said, would not still be fighting for coverage of contraception or to address sexual assault in the military.
“This is the beginning of the revival of the women’s movement,” she said.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/2017/live-updates/politics/womens-march-on-washington/tammy-duckworth-wears-dont-f-with-me-jacket/
For many women (and men) this march isn’t about Trump. It’s about organizing around issues involving basic (and very necessary) health care for women (and men, too), among others. America needs Planned Parenthood and we are not going to let it be taken away.
Scarlett Johanssen has a history of telling political sectaries to get stuffed. She ought to know better than to cut ads for a gruesome organization like PP.
Let’s hope that you’re never “Desperately Seeking Health Care.” Planned Parenthood has been a life line for many. Planned Parenthood is a lifeline for many.
“Planned Parenthood has been a life line for many. Planned Parenthood is a lifeline for many.”
And a life terminator for millions of others. Too bad they can’t march.
Abortion clinics aren’t a lifeline for anyone.
Now there’s a group with a plan. If they can keep the Bubba Butt Kissers out of it along with Hillary’s Victimizers of women they stand a good chance. She really made the woman card into a joke which should not have happened .
Is Rachel like a sister to Huma’s ex?????? Just wondering.
This will be interesting to watch because Trump raised a closed, clenched fist at the end of his inaugural address – I suppose that is his symbol of the solidarity and unity he is calling for? I don’t like it and I hope he stops. But now the Womens March ralliers are calling for them to raise their fists and show their power, their unity, their solidarity.

“It took this moment of darkness to wake us the f*ck up. To our detractors that said this march will never add up to anything? F you!” says Madonna from the stage.
“Yes I am angry. Yes I am outraged. Yes I have thoughts about blowing up the White House….” Then in the very next sentence she shares a quote about “choosing LOVE.”
“We showed up and now we have to stay organized” said Amy Schumer.
So now what will Trump do? If he ignores this march/movement, he is making a big mistake…..
Madonna, Cher and that unfunny tw#t Amy Shumer. LOL! Those stupid women need to vote her daddy out of office – corporate whore.

She’s rude and insulting, but there’s a sensible point in there: protest marches are if anything injurious to the material interests of blacks. The salient problems blacks face which distinguish them from whites is the deficit of security in the neighborhoods where most of them live. There are some subsidiary problems, such as disorder in schools and an urban tax regime which promotes property abandonment and neglect. All of these are irrelevant to the Kool-Aid the march organizers are pushing.
You are lumping all black people together. Many blacks are well educated, hold goods jobs, and live in nice neighborhoods. Do have any idea how many black professional women there are in the nation’s capitol?
Do you have any idea how much I don’t care??? Because as a group black women are popping out a 72% illegitimate birth rate, and their kids are by and large, violent stupid little savages. Which is why even White Liberals and successful Black don’t send their kids to inner city schools, or schools with a predominantly Black student body. Time to leave this blog for today. The klan seems to come out in the afternoons.
@Joe
Bet you’re another White Liberal who has limited contact with Blacks and lives in an exclusive neighborhood.
Typical left wing fascist answer. Look in the mirror…describe what you see….change the name .
FYI the Klan started by Nathan Bedford Forrest a Southern Democrat. The Southern Democrats were the slave owners. The Northern Democrats were the traffickers, buyers, sellers, and importers. Both joined forces after the Civil War where the supported Black Laws, Jim Crow Laws, and of course were heavily anti-civil rights something that hasn’t changed to this day.
So Seig Me No Heils Comrade Joe. The rest of us do NOT serve the party and the party is carcass being carved up. That’s progressivism of the right kind.
Joe, if you can’t take the heat in the kitchen then get out. Rosie hates men like you. Weak & feeble.

Meanwhile, back at the pro-women (not anti-Trump) DC Women’s March, beauty-challenged, orally fixated Madonna has mused about blowing up the White House and now that girl-next-door and admitted “nasty woman” Ashley Judd asserts that Trump has wet dreams about this daughter Ivanka. How charming.

Right on Squeeky! Give ’em hell.
I love how liberals try to out ‘virtue signal’ one another in love for Blacks but live in exclusive neighborhoods and send their kids to private schools.
And yet have the audacity to condemn others who engage in White Flight or wish to otherwise avoid Blacks.
Most liberals are absolutely phoney and will in no way get their hands dirty.
Black people go to private schools too, dingbat
Sure they do, when they can afford it! If 72% of black kids are little b*stards, then that means that 28% were born in wedlock. The entire race of Blacks in America are not worthless. When they get in the money, they tend to do like the Jeffersons and move uptown! To get away from the black trash.
Have you ever actually driven thru a poorer-ish Black neighborhood? Try it, and keep an eye out for all the iron security bars on the doors and windows. Those bars are not to keep out the Klan, or white Republicans named Skippy. They are there to keep out their fellow Black Democrats.
Oh, and if you do this, take a gun and some extra ammo in case you have to shoot your way out. Plus, don’t do it at night. Make sure you have plenty of gas in your car, and that your phone is fully charged. For good measure, take an extra phone to make sure you can call 911 in case of a breakdown. Name calling is not an argument. And btw – not a ‘dingbat’, have an IQ around 125.
Sure, a certain number of Blacks attend private schools. The problem is in large numbers. Whenever a neighborhood, school, etc, reaches around 20% black, it will become overwhelmingly so within a few years. It’s called White Flight and is a sensible response to crime and lower quality of life.
Bet you live in a neighborhood with few Blacks. And condemn others for White Flight, that is if they aren’t virtue signaling liberals.
No, I’m not lumping all blacks together. That’s your addled head putting words into my mouth. I’m speaking of the problems which you find in the lives of blacks you find much less of in the lives of whites. Black bourgeois living in congenial inner city neighborhoods or in suburbs are not injured in ways their white neighbors are free of (bar some rubrics which make labor market information more opaque and divert them from optimal career paths). Black wage-earners and white wage earners do live (on average) in situations which differ on important variables. Also the lumpenproletarian population is proportionately much larger among blacks than among others. Some of these distinct problems can be addressed via public policy, but the motor to do so among black elected officials has very little horsepower and black ‘activists’ don’t give a damn when they’re not downright hostile.
Easy enough to stop. First incident ok, second incident mmmmmmm third incident tubal ligation or no welfare check and food stamps. As for the three Daddies if they can be found… Child support or vasectomy as a requirement for welfare and food stamps. Make i a choice.
Children would be better off without them both.
Swedes did exactly that when they dumped socialism . There is NO welfare and any mention of it brings a yuge laugh.

But sheeeesh, as a group Black women have a 72% illegitimate birth rate, and they blame their problems on Institutionalized Racism, White Privilege, Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder, White Nationalists, etc, etc. etc. And 72% is just an average. Some places like Milwaukee have a black illegitimate birth rate over 80%.
As a legal website, I can not believe the number of stupid white people who are just willing to presume the guilt of other white people. My goodness, but if they are lawyers, do they just lay down in court? Do they get up to defend a client and tell the jury, “Well, my client’s guilty, but we are going to just go thru the motions regardless.”???
The charges need to be examined. Some of these Liberals are still living in the 1950s and 1960s, where many problems were caused by whites. But it’s 50+ years later. Plus, in many areas of the country, there was never any slavery, and never any Jim Crow type overall environment. What excuse does a black woman have in Milwaukee???
If the illegitimate birth rate was super high in the South, and more normal in the North, then one might reasonably advance Jim Crow, or Institutionalized Racism as an excuse. Not that I would buy the excuse, but it would at least be a reasonable argument. But savage black misbehavior is nationwide.

In Trump’s Inauguration address when he mentioned “American carnage” – this cycle of poverty, drugs and victimhood is some of what he was referring to. I think this is high on his list to try to make some inroads into improving black lives as opposed to what the Black Lives Matter ‘movement’ is doing – which amounts to destroying their own neighborhoods in many instances.
Liberals are never going to admit to the carnage if they can help it. Or if they do, there will be some vague allusion to White Privilege. Because you know, that is why Pookie of the Hood shot Ray-Ray of the Hood. White Privilege and Institutionalized Racism, Not the $20 drug debt. Here is a video of a poor innocent black man who fell victim to Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder. A good point made by Tommy Sotomayor is how some of the onlookers were totally unperturbed, like this was a pretty normal occurrence. Which I would take as “carnage.”:

Democrats don’t want to talk about the ‘carnage’ but Trump does. And this is a good thing for blacks. Trump said last August “I will not rest until children of every color in this country are fully included in the American dream.” I think he means it.
People may find Pearl Cleague’s novel, I Wish I Had a Red Dress interesting. It deals with the protagonist’s attempts to get at risk teenage girls to raise the bar on their expectations in life, as well as the hopelessness and poor self esteem among poor black women. It dealt with painful subjects, in a very compassionate way.
If compassion works, then great! But the rate is still 72% and maybe we just need to start calling a spade a spade. If there was any human behavior that caused as much misery and poverty and violence as this irresponsible b*stard-producing behavior among black women, we would call it out and encourage change. But what is more important to the Democrats is getting the votes of the poor blacks, and the Republicans have to mealy-mouth around the issue because the main stream press is pretty much engaged in the same pursuit as the DNC, that is, ensuring that Democrats win offices and stay in power.
It is a horrible, cynical exercise, and the ugly face of the Democrats and the press openly shows itself every time they lambast Black conservatives, or any other Black that strays from the Democratic Plantation. It makes me sick. It’s blatant and obvious, and still most White people are afraid to speak out, lest they be limned a racisssst! And God help the poor Black conservative who calls it out.

Thrilled by the marchers worldwide. There is even a small march in Anarctica. Issue is, of course, what people will do tomorrow and going forward. Who will stay active? And just as interestingly, what will Trump do? I have no doubt that the huge crowds everywhere, particularly in DC where they are larger than yesterday, will be a painful narcissistic injury to him. And his need for revenge is likely to be huge.
All I see is the Feminists that turned their backs on their Sisters in time of need to support Bubba Cute Butt both in the 90’s and since then. I see so called Feminists as Victimizers of Women along with thier leader Hillary Clinton. I see fakes, phoneys and and failures. If they were cognizant they would figure that out for themselves. Instead they are just willing disciples of the secular progressives.,

Now explain your way out of that one Rosie Whoopsie?
Better yet explain it to your victims.
I agree completely that the hypocrisy of these women, most Democrats, Hollywood activists and the left is disgusting. They are willing to overlook the very real abuse of women that Bill Clinton perpetrated – with Hillary’s help – because they liked his policies. Donald Trump made some crude comments. Bill Clinton was the perp. These women whose praise and glorification of Hillary as one of them, as a true champion for women is also mixed up and disgusting.
Black women in Congress are on stage now at the Womens March rally. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz is standing on stage too along with other women in Congress. They expect over 500k people on the mall today. This is a ‘movement’ that is gaining traction as a counter to Trump’s ‘movement.’
Barack and Michelle Obama have both started actively “Tweeting” from their accounts about getting back to work after their short vacation. The “Organizer-in-Chief” is going back to his roots to lead the ‘resistance.’
In Vegas they are taking bets giving odds against how long Trump will survive staying in office.
This Womens March today and the sister marches around the country and the world is not ‘nothing.’ This is going to grow. Trump is going to have a lot of trouble ahead of him as he tries to govern with this kind of resistance growing stronger with each day. The Democrats are indeed getting ‘organized’ in their fight against Trump.
Yes the young women in pink camps and the men who love them outnumber the old dudes in red caps.
For the time being, it seems impossible that anything good will come out of Hillary’s loss on the Democratic side or Trump’s win on the Republican side. Just everyone’s position becoming more intransigent.
Either way, four years is a long time.
Jill Stein voters are out there too. The groups are anti-Trump.
6 Million Democrat voters did NOT vote for Hillary on Nov. 8. 2016.
Women March ON
Rosie O’Donnell is on the hunt. Rosie targets 10 year old son of Donald, Barron Trump as autistic. Rosie continues the attack. As Trump said, “ROSIE IS A PIG”!
Apparently you really care what Rosie O’Donnell says. I don’t. This is the second video of her.
Joe, guess who the tranny is? Do a whoopi Dooppie on the view.
I get it. Your job is to make the women’s march look like it is about Rosie and the View. i think you are clearly out of touch and need a new assignment.
Joe help me on this. Rosie is pro rape & but hates guns. Help me please.
You are pitiful no matter what name you post under.
Better pitiful than contemptible.
Joe, Rosie hates men. Trump calls Rosie a “degenerate”. What’s worse? A pig or a degenerate?
I know many people who are attending the Woman’s March — in DC and the one locally. All are very bright, accomplished in their respective fields and deeply committed to various causes. However, they are also all delusional. They willfully dismiss any criticism of the Democratic Party, ignore Obama’s bad policy and blame everything on Republicans. I don’t see that changing at all – cult-like beliefs are not shattered by facts.
You’re right of course. What the hell good is an education if not to pull back such curtains, to be self critical or critical of one’s “tribe”? If the left simply provides a continual shift to the right, in the guise of lessor evilism, what good is it when it goes so far beyond what normal people would draw the line at anyway, such as killings by drone with no judicial review, or the elimination of Habeas Corpus?
I don’t see the other side taking much away from these protests either except a hardening of position.
What the hell good is an education if not to pull back such curtains, to be self critical or critical of one’s “tribe”? I
Today’s generation of arts and sciences faculty are incapable of self-criticism in any sustained way.
