Can You Guess What This Person Was Charged With?

bernardWell his name is Bernard Muscadin . . .  but do not call him that . . .

The 21-year-old Boca Raton man apparently really really really does not like to be called “Bernard.”  When a blind relative called him “Bernard,”  Muscadin beat him down.  He prefers to be called Ben.

Ben was upset generally by criticism of his staying out late and drinking and smoking.

Ben now faces charges of battery and abuse of a disabled person.

  1. Well, I might as well get back into Irish Poem mode! I hear the Krauts are big on this kind of familiarity.

There once was a thug named Bernard.
Who I guess was a bit of a tard!
Hit a blind guy. . . For Shame!
    For using his name!
And the po po came down on him, hard.

  2. He will be making some new friends in prison. If this is his 1st run in with the Judge, he might be lucky with probation to 3-5. If this is his 3rd time in front of the Judge as an adult, and he has an attitude, he could be labeled a habitual offender in Florida.
    Super long sentence.

  3. Well, Bernard is a jerk. What’s wrong with people laying violent hands on a blind person? Lashing out at elders who criticize him for a destructive lifestyle. That’s what they are supposed to do – nag young people into doing better. And they can call you whatever version of your name they want.

Young, probably healthy, with years of life ahead of him that sick kids would give anything for, and he’s throwing his future away with both hands. What a waste of all of his opportunities, and the good fortune to be born with good health.
