After Months of False Denials, Brazile Admits That She Broke Campaign Rules In Revealing Questions To The Clinton Campaign

220px-donna_brazile_1We discussed earlier how Donna Brazile, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee and CNN commentator, denied the legitimacy of emails that showed her leaking a question to Hillary Clinton that would be asked verbatim at the CNN downhill event. I was highly critical of the failure of the media to investigate the claim, including confirming the receipt of the earlier emails from Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri. Brazile stuck by her false statements even after additional emails allegedly showed Brazile secretly feeding information to the Clinton campaign. Again, there was relatively little media attention to the story and CNN initially issued a remarkably weak response that it was “uncomfortable” with the new disclosures on Brazile’s actions while a CNN commentator. While CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker later called Brazile’s actions “disgusting” and others have denounced her actions and later contradictions, the DNC stuck with Brazile — even praising her post-scandal appearance before staffers (with one notable exception). Then, the declassified intelligence report directly disputed what Brazile has said.  Yet media remained relatively passive and again failed to press Palmieri on the issue.  Now, Brazile has admitted that she gave the questions to the Clinton campaign in a Time magazine essay.  She simply says it was a “mistake” but does not address her lying to the media.  Again, the coverage is quite limited and no one has asked Palmieri how she remained silent despite knowing that Brazile was lying and misleading the public. Palmieri is now a regular guest on various news outlets.

Of course, during her long denials, Brazile insisted that the story was not only false but that she was being persecuted by media even asking her such a question:

“I did not receive any questions from CNN . . . As a Christian woman I understand persecution, but I will not stand here and be persecuted because your information is totally false. Podesta’s emails were stolen. You’re so interested in talking about stolen material; you’re like a thief that wants to bring into the night the things that you found that was in the gutter.”

Brazile buries her admission in a piece in Time magazine complaining about Russian hacking.  Here is her full statement:

Then in October, a subsequent release of emails revealed that among the many things I did in my role as a Democratic operative and D.N.C. Vice Chair prior to assuming the interim D.N.C. Chair position was to share potential town hall topics with the Clinton campaign. I had been working behind the scenes to add more town hall events and debates to the primary calendar, and I helped ensure those events included diverse moderators and addressed topics vital to minority communities. My job was to make all our Democratic candidates look good, and I worked closely with both campaigns to make that happen. But sending those emails was a mistake I will forever regret.
You will note that the statement omits a few things. First, she does not apologize for lying to the national media repeatedly and stating that her emails were somehow altered.  Second, she does not address how she allowed other people to be fingered for the leak until it came out that it was her doing.  Third, she does not address how she waited months as evidence mounted that she knowingly lied.  She just says it was a mistake to reveal the questions and not to lie to the media for whom she once worked. Nevertheless, she is still being given media opportunities at Time and the media is not crying foul.  Why?
The same question is relevant for the complete failure of the media to ask Palmieri how she could allow denials of this violation of campaign rules for months without revealing that she did receive the questions. She is not being asked how she could remain silent for months as Brazile lied to the media.  This was during a campaign when the Sanders camp was alleging collusion and both Brazile and Palmieri did not reveal the truth that the emails were not altered as Brazile suggested.  Indeed, Palmieri has not been confronted on her role or her long silence.  Why?
The Brazile column is entitled “Russian DNC Narrative Played Out Exactly As They Hoped.”  No, Donna, it was much much better than anyone could have hoped because your first response and position for months was to lie to the media including the cable news network that you worked for.  What hacker could have hoped for that type of windfall?
As the White House complains about slanted coverage, the failure of the media to push aggressively on the Brazile/Palmieri story is support for that view.  Seriously, could you imagine if Reince Priebus was accused of violating campaign rules, lying about to the media repeatedly, continuing the lie as head of the RNC, and maintaining the lie in the face of opposing findings and reports?  In this case, Brazile kept the issue in denial as Sanders sought to show collusion and unfair bias by the DNC. Then Brazile replaced Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who lost her position due to collusion with the Clinton camp against Sanders. Brazile took the job knowing that she was guilty of the same offense and misled the media as to validity of the emails.  Even now, her greatest complaint appears that she primarily wishes that she was better on her security not her veracity.  Brazile insists “Let me be clear: This is not just the price of politics. This is not normal. We cannot let this stand.”  She is not talking about her lying or her sharing the questions with Clinton.  The problem is not the content of the emails but the fact that anyone found out about them.
I have repeatedly criticized President Trump and the Administration for their attacks on the media. I believe that the media is right to aggressively pursue issues like the wiretapping allegation. However, it should also aggressively pursue stories like this one.
The Time column appears an effort to move beyond the scandal with a very limited apology.  Given the subdued media coverage, she may succeed in that strategy.

    • I think she should be held to the same standard that I want Trump held to. There are no excuses or exceptions to lying. I am at a loss of how you can call for one standard for the GOP and another for a Democrat. A lie is a lie, unless you are in the current administration, then it’s an alternative fact.

    • Some might call it an “awakening.” Others might view it as simply “swimmin’ with the tide.” He’s certainly not a guy who’s ever going to make history, or change the world — in any meaningful way, IMHO. I’d like to be wrong. He likes the limelight a little too much.

  1. Apparently this is the best many democrats have to offer. For them it’s enough to say they’re sorry then expect to be forgiven in time for the next scandal and corrupt act.

    It’s a rather predictable process.

  2. Another one bites the dust. Another one bites the dust. Whose going to be the first staffer to go states evidence now that it’s all unwinding and no pardons are possible. How many will rat them out as Brazile just did and how many will just get hung out to dry.

  3. Long past the time for the democrats to clean house, or lose all the support they ever had. WE need
    Bernie Sanders NOW

    • If the Socialist left is at the point of admitting their movement is done for without Comrade Rich Boy Sanders pretending to be a leader of the people, giving in to the same old white ID establishmentarianism, turning their back once again on those a shade or two darker then they deserve all they have diligently worked for as the Party of Slavery and Anti-Civil Rights. So far they are, along with their more vocal supporters doing a fine job of exposing themselves for what they are.. Neo feudalist neo aristocratic international and national socialists. Seign me no heils Comrades we don’t serve your party and never did. Socialist Roaders, counter revoltionary wreckers you were run out of Russia and now out of North America. All that’s left for you is North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba.

      • For all the effort the GOP makes trying to tie Bernie to communism (when he tells you exactly what he is, a democratic socialist along the lines of liberal Europeans & Canadians), it’s funny the ones trying to cover up real ties to Russians who want to bring back the Soviet Union are in the Trump Administration. In the words of McCain, even some of our republican senators are “now working for Vladimir Putin”.

            • Comey: “There is no evidence to support Trump’s ‘specific wording’ in his wiretap tweet.”

So it depends on what the meaning of “is” is? Please stop the word games, Mr. Comey. Clearly there WAS surveillance, wiretapping, whatever “words” you want to call it.

              • From NYT: “The new rules significantly relax longstanding limits on what the N.S.A. may do with the information gathered by its most powerful surveillance operations, which are largely unregulated by American wiretapping laws. These include collecting satellite transmissions, phone calls and emails that cross network switches abroad, and messages between people abroad that cross domestic network switches.”

KEY point is that wiretapping can include “satellite transmissions, phone calls and emails” and “messages between people” — so Comey is parsing words here to say he has no evidence of “wiretapping” in Trump Tower.

KEY question to be asking is why did Obama relax these rules just days before leaving office?

          • Even more amusing how the breitbart driven conspiracy theorists make Soros out to be the brains behind all of the progressive lefts endeavors and then try to label the progressives communists, when Soros is a wealthy philanthropist whose pushes for democracy helped topple the soviet empire and he and Putin hate each other for that reason. So if all conspiracy theories are to be believed would you rather be part of a party under Russian control or a pro-human rights democratic philanthropist control? Brazile’s actions were despicable and she should be ousted from the party, but the hypocritical nature of the republicans who investigated Hillary in a dog and pony show for years to undermine her, that now say this is nothing is astounding. You know damn well if the shoe was on the other foot and you had evidence of democrats meeting with Russian officials then lying about it under oath the republicans would be chasing this with all the ferocity of a rabid dog that caught the whiff of a man doused in steak grease aka Ken Star

            • “Media Matters” and “Black Lives Matter” are sorosphere projects. The old kapo is either extremely careless with his money or he’s Dr. Evil.

              • Because it doesn’t get more evil than a group that brings attention to issues of police brutality against persecuted minorities that dare to claim that their lives should matter too. As someone who escaped nazi germany it could be he empathizes with the plight of minorities. Meanwhile the GOP is more concerned with steamrolling the Dakota Access protestors trying to protect their clean water, out as fast as inhumanely possible

                • Because it doesn’t get more evil than a group that brings attention to issues of police brutality

There is social reality, and then there are the likes CK07 tells himself and passes off on others. Michael Brown was shot dead because he attacked a police officers and tried to take the man’s duty gun away. The activities of Black Lives Matter had the effect of destroying a great deal of property, damaging the residential real estate market in Ferguson, Mo., (i.e. the interests of the largely black and largely working-class homeowners who live there) and selling the lie that police homicides are a systematic social problem. A grand total of 2% of the blacks in this country who die from homicide are killed by police officers. You know there are not many dubious cases because the high profile cases used by the sorosphere to raise money fall apart fairly routinely (see Michael Brown and Freddie Gray for two examples). They’re not choosing the most dubious cases when they pull these stunts.

If you’re concerned about the welfare of blacks, you’ll promote vigorous policing of slum neighborhoods, something which does not happen when the local politicians act in ways to wreck police morale.

You’re under the illusion that you’re in favor of things which benefit blacks. What you really are is a useless prat.

                  • Wait so Michael Brown, who the majority of witnesses we have verifiable proof were there including two white construction workers screaming he had his hands up in an interview taken immediately after the fact ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6yfbbt6DvHg ) , was shot because he tried to take the gun from an officer who later claimed he looked like a demon? Why are you blind to the corruption in a case where the prosecution is in bed with the police dept and the defense is relying on written testimony from individuals who were at extreme vantage points, conflicts with their own prior testimony, or provide dubious accounts of randomly coming to the area to “understand the black race better” after living a life in the klan? You think black neighborhoods are better off with corrupt policing, like what’s gone on in ferguson for years, coming in with military force? Now that white america is undergoing a heroin epidemic let’s see the effect an overly aggressive and corrupt war on drugs rounding up all male suspects and giving life sentences to has on the community. There’s nothing like a corrupt police force that operates behind a blue cone of silence and looks at the citizens it’s meant to protect and serve as demons to foster trust and understanding within a community. You act like the DOJ report finding a pattern of targeting African Americans, government abuse and corruption in a police force with known ties to the Klan means nothing.

                    • Wait so, you totally missed the part of this story where Eric Holder’s Justice Department investigated the case? And you know they were trying their best to find something, any little shred of evidence with which to condemn the cop, but in the end, they couldn’t find anything and the cop was cleared by the Civil Rights Division, etc. The facts and the evidence found that Michael Brown was assaulting the officer when he was shot. Hands up don’t shoot was -and still is- a complete lie. Black Lives Matter is a racist, cop-hating group. Period.

                    • That’s like me saying the police are a racist black hating group because some of their members have ties to the klan: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2014/08/19/ku-klux-klan-ferguson-police-michael-brown/14275115/, http://www.blacklistednews.com/Anonymous_Exposes_Cop_as_Member_of_KKK_Behind_Letter_Threatening_to_Kill_Ferguson_Protesters/39229/0/38/38/Y/M.html

                      And that’s just in ferguson.

As for your specific concern read #8: blacklivesmatter.com/11-major-misconceptions-about-the-black-lives-matter-movement/
I haven’t seen a blm protest that didn’t have white people protesting with them hand in hand. This is about recognizing that this country and the justice department in particular has acted as if black lives were unimportant for decades. We have black males in Louisiana in jail for over a decade for being found with a bag of marijuana for personal use. This would never be stood for if these people were considered white. Instead it’s used to boost a prosecutors career as someone who is tough on crime. BLM is protesting for reform. Black on black crime is a problem people have been protesting for decades, but when you can’t work with your police department because of a lack of trust or care from that department then progress isn’t going to be made. And the actions of Darren Wilson did nothing to help foster trust.
As for the DOJ report you do realize the standard was that the department had to be convinced a federal crime had occurred and that it could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt at trial. On page 7 the report states “although no eyewitness directly corroborate Wilson’s account of Brown’s attempt to gain control of the gun, there is no credible evidence to disprove Wilson’s account of what occurred inside the SUV”.
The evidence does show Wilson fired 12 shots at an unarmed youth who was 180-150+ feet away from him, that he later described “looked like a demon”. I suppose if I’m sent to police a community that looks to me like the villains from a ghostbusters movie, I’d be unloading everything I have the moment I’m spooked too. The report goes on to detail how other than the shots fired into his arms there is no evidence Wilson fired at Brown while he was running from him. They also cite his report because the evidence cannot disprove him beyond the shadow of a doubt.
You sound like a red blooded football loving American so I’ll use a football reference for you. This is like the AFC championship your Steelers lose to the Patriots because of a bad call on the field. Everyone and their mom can see it was a bad call but the evidence in the review booth is insufficient to overturn it because there isn’t a clean angle and the ruling on the field is given precedence in that case. What is found however is that the patriots have been systematically cheating for years following an investigation such that reforms should be made. So while you may have lost the battle for justice in the game over the long arc of the universe and the war to clean the sport up, it points towards justice in the future.
BLM is protesting for that future. Holder wanted to make sure the police department was thoroughly investigated in part because of the attention they brought to it. The goal wasn’t to prove Wilson killed a kid with his hands up, which even the white witnesses in the video I posted which you have yet to address said he did, but to point out a problem with how the police interacted with he black community to evoke broader change going forward. That in itself should disprove your assertions they are a racist lynch mob, along the lines of the klu klux klan, which supported Darren Wilson heavily.

                    • What facts? I haven’t seen a BLM protest that wasn’t littered with whites. You claim it’s racist yet appear blatantly misinformed along the lines of the flat earthers. Read their website. They address your specific concerns regarding race and police there. If you’re someone who believes black lives should matter too then you’re welcome to join them regardless of your skin color. The fact that Farrakhan and a few others that have a disdain for whites stemming from being raised in a society where they were forced to the back of buses, barred from white establishments and saw the likes of emmet till etc should no more enable you to label them a racist organization that me labeling the police force a racist organization because of the huge support they’ve received from the klan in this case or the ferguson officers revealed to be part of the klan by anonymous. That’s just a few bad seeds not an entire group

                    • You act like the DOJ report finding a pattern of targeting African Americans, government abuse and corruption in a police force with known ties to the Klan means nothing.

It does mean nothing. The DoJ was reduced to complaining about chicken-s***t like jaywalking tickets because they had nothing more serious about which to complain.

                    • hey CKO7: I am a mulatto. Don’t you tell me what you know about race and racism. You don’t know squat. BLM is a racist movement through and through. If Holder’s DOJ and a Grand Jury could have nailed the officer in the Michael Brown case, you know dam well they would have. Keep on drinkin’ the Kool Aid bro.

                    • Somehow I doubt that. I haven’t heard of people self identifying as mulatto since the 19th century. At least not in the US. Typically you’d say mixed and not some archaic term like quadroon or mestino etc. Then again I could be arguing with Sherrif David Clarke for all I know or a minority who makes a living off tearing down groups like BLM and La Raza. If BLM is a racist group then why are they inclusive of whites, not only in protest but in what they protest about? They were the first group to speak out against the death of slain white teen Zachary Hammond while ALM was silent. The fact that you see racism in the actions of a group clamoring for the rights of an oppressed group yet would side with the party quick to kick minorities like the native Americans in Dakota to the curb shows that you yourself are either prejudiced or self-loathing. Hitler himself was reportedly a quarter Jewish yet idolized blond hair and blue eyes (neither of which he possessed). In the 60s many black youth were shown two dolls a white and a black and asked which was more attractive. The majority said the white doll, often because it was good. The fact that you’re mixed doesn’t give credence to your perspective when you’re a puppet for the right

                    • CK07 – I am going to guess that Bob is the graduate of a HBC. Graduations of color make a big difference in the black community. I had a black friend who couldn’t get a job in Watts after the riots because he wasn’t black enough. See Spike Lee’s School Daze to see this play out at an HBC. I think he went to Moreland.

                    • CK07: you wouldn’t happen to be a white person now would ya? Spoutin’ off all about racial justice like you be a Social Justice Warrior on behalf of the downtrodden black folk? You are the racist and you don’t even know it. Shove it, bro.

                    • Since you’d prefer to keep this about personal attacks as opposed to the topic at hand, should it matter if I’m as white as Rachel Dolezal or as black as Nelson Mandela? It sounds like to you anyone who champions the rights of minorities is a racist besides perhaps the revisionist history version of MLK conservatives like to tout as a republican who would be horrified at Obama, ignoring his progressive agenda and his ongoing war with conservative racist J Edgar Hoover. I’m not a member of BLM but that doesn’t mean I’m unable to empathize with their mission. I point out and even point to a video of the whites recorded at the scene of Brown’s death, point to the flaws in your logic regarding the DOJ report, and bring up the fact that BLM’s protests almost always include whites and that their website discusses working better with police and the fact that conservative activists like yourself have attempted to label them as racist despite their inclusiveness of all races just in an attempt to show black lives should matter too in a country that segregated blacks in the lifetime of many here, and rather than address any of those points, you choose to resort to name calling. I can’t help it if you can’t process my arguments and have to resort to childish behavior. But I do have to ask do you think HBCUs are racist? Black History Month? The national museum of African American history and culture? Harry Belafonte? Any group or individual that recognizes discrimination against blacks exists particularly in the criminal justice system and has the nerve to say anything beyond “can’t we all just get along” ala Rodney king?

                  • Wait so Michael Brown, who the majority of witnesses we have verifiable proof were there including two white construction workers screaming he had his hands up in an interview taken immediately after the fact ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6yfbbt6DvHg ) , was shot because he tried to take the gun from an officer who later claimed he looked like a demon?

The majority of witnesses said nothing of the kind. Officer Wilson’s account was also in accord with the autopsy results. Your fantasies are not in accord.

    • I am a libertarian that supported Sanders. He sold his soul to the Clintons and lost my support. He is not the person to remake the Demo party.

  4. If the documents from Infowars are correct, they will be cleaning house at several agencies. This goes all the way to the top. I hope the ex-President is vacationing in a non-extradition country.

As for Donna, she does not even lie well. As you can see her whole method is to excuse herself of any real culpability. What she and the Democratic Party did to Bernie is unexcuseable. And I don’t even like Bernie. No wonder the Democrats are leaderless.

  5. So terrified of being viewed and/or labeled as racist, no one is willing to be a martyr and hold Donna Godzilla’s fat, scaly and swollen feet to the fire. She has suffered no adverse consequences, and I don’t expect her to ever need to do so. Anyone, foolish enough, to demand that she account for her egregious behavior, would be met with accusations of racism, which explains the complicit silence. The same theory explains why we see buffoons, like Sharpton or Jackson–two individuals, so crooked, they can’t p€€ straight–showcased in the media, with no requirement for them to account for their myriad of legal and highly questionable financial issues.

      • My strength is in my ability to be brutally honest. To tell it like it is–well, at least, online, where I am unencumbered by the overly burdensome restraints of political correctness and the possibility of retribution for speaking my mind. Quite liberating, actually. The ability to call them, as I see them, without the shackles of falsehoods and pretense. Too bad that concept is lost on you. I would say that I care, but, in reality, I couldn’t care less what you believe. How’s that for tact?

  6. The DNC is a business run like a division of the government where no one is held accountable and no one is fired.
Separate Bernie Sander’s voters from them and they are the McCain version of the GOP.
We ( I’m still registered as a Dem) need a new Bernie Sanders/Henry Wallace.
    Suggestion:Tulsi Gabbards.

  7. One can see by the caliber of the leftist posting here it’s all the canned stuff primarily from Carville and Lykoff and that badly warmed over garbage. That’s the plus side for them. Leaderless and less everything else they did the closed shop shuffle picked a token leader and went straight back into denial mode.

Notice they are completely separated from party the fractionalized party members, the incompetent party leaders and what’s almost comical unless you think of such phrases as ‘taxation without representation’ a political group in Congress that is completely disconnected from the the Constitution on the one side and the party on the other and beyond that from it’s ripe for plucking members.

Their actions remind me of the old movies depicting refugees wandering around the old battlefields looking for a half eaten meal

  8. Brazile deserves all the bad press, comments, posts, etc… Conservatives and liberals shoukd all pile on.

That said, the debate questions passed on where ones only an idiot wouldn’t have prepared for anyway. As a Bernie supporter i would like to say this was the tipping point. But sadly Clinton built such an early lead in the southern states that i just don’t believe it had any effect on the primary result.

As respects lying and needing an apology………please give me a break. Our current liar in thief tells 10 times the lies on an almost daily basis. Even when there are videos showing the baby trump did say exactly what the con artist repeatedly denies. I’m waiting mr. Turley for your 7 threads a day asking the liar trump to apologize to American people? Or do you really think trumpcare and its likely result in killing 10000+ americans annually was what the liar trump campaigned on? Please remember the liar trump has already said the current proposal is what he ran on?

btw – why no thread on the baby trumps infantile no handshake with Merkel? And the supposed reason behind his shameful, embarrassing act?

    • If you don’t understand that the corporate insurance companies are plying expensive, rationed care, and that the GOP plan is more of the same, but with the loose ends tied up.

This is not something Ryan pulled out of his behind on the spur of the moment.

Just like when Cheney and the Energy corporations wrote the energy policy behind closed doors,
      15 years ago.
The people of the USA have no voice, whatsoever.
We do have a President now, whom I believe wants to do right by the people, but is so busy putting out the daily distracting fires the MSM are making up. That he is overwhelmed by the process of fighting them.

    • The Donald wants Germany to pay up for NATO – who cares about the handshake? Merkel has ruined Germany – Obama and Hillary brought her to heel.

          • Yeah, and $5 and $6k deductibles in the ObamaCare Bronze Plans have been very hard on the middle class people actually paying for their insurance and those paying the “penalty” for not having it.

Here is ObamaCare in a nutshell: US Citizens have to prove they have insurance and then pay outrageous premiums and deductibles so they don’t pay a penalty for not having insurance and then subsidize people who don’t even have to prove they are US citizens in order to receive benefits.

Yeah, so let’s talk about who is making things hard on working class Americans.

  9. Lyin’ Donna in her own words taken from her infamous Fox News interview where she offered this bizarre response:

“I did not receive any questions from CNN,” she told anchor Megyn Kelly. “As a Christian woman I understand persecution, but I will not stand here and be persecuted because your information is totally false. Podesta’s emails were stolen. You’re so interested in talking about stolen material; you’re like a thief that wants to bring into the night the things that you found that was in the gutter.”

Yes, Donna lies through her teeth as she tells us that she is a Christian woman who will not be persecuted. What?? I especially like the line about bringing out things that you found in the gutter. The lady doth protest too much.

But of course this isn’t a lie, this is a mistake that she regrets. Because, you know, it depends on what the meaning of isn’t is.

  10. The lying is less a reflection on the character of those doing the lying than on those that will not just accept it, but attempt to defend it and/or direct attention elsewhere. As long as the American people support this behavior from the political class then we can expect more of it. Those people that do are absolutely disgusting human beings.

  11. Holy Cow! This woman is dispicable! First, vehemently denied doing it and invoking God, then dismissing it as a “simple” mistake. What a truly shallow person she is, and likely evil. This, in itself, was an evil deed. There’s no excuse for that but this is how low some people, including our government, can sink. Truly shameful.

  12. Because her last name is Brazil she gets treated like a Mexican. If her last name was France then things would be different. CNN, NBC, b i bicki eye bi o Bee bicki Eye bicki O boo bee.

  13. Once again the MSM is complicit in deceiving the American people and then wonders why we do not trust it.

Keeping going guys and you will be as relevant as Pravda.

  14. Trump got 4% of the vote in Washington DC. HRC got 90%. In NYC, Trump got 19%. HRC got 79%.

The Washington Post and New York Times are Democratic rags. The are the hometown newspapers for the Democratic establishment. They are incented to give their readers what they want to read. They have little incentive to uncover and report on Democratic corruption. They push fantasies about how Trump colluded with Putin to highjack the election because it is what their audience wants to hear. It gets clicks.

  15. Brazile may have said it – providing information to the Clinton campaign and lying about it – was a mistake, but she’s also said she’d do it all over again. She needs a tattoo on her forehead: “Political Opportunist: I Play For Pay.”

    • Good point Steve. I don’t care what political hat they wear; you lie and your career in and around politics should be over. Get these people completely out of having any opportunity to continue poisoning the minds of the electorate. Start a registry, call it the Political Integrity Offenders. Put them on it for life. Catch them doing anything that could be construed as political and you lock them up and throw away the key.
