Notably, about a half hour before Trump’s tweets, White House Director of Social Media Dan Scavino tweeted: “#DumbAsARockMika and lover #JealousJoe are lost, confused & saddened since @POTUS @realDonaldTrump stopped returning their calls! Unhinged.”
Then, while the show was on the air, Trump attacked the show for being “poorly rated” and called the hosts names. The first tweet was posted at 8:52 am”
I heard poorly rated
@Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came..
Just for the record, Morning Joe recently hit an all-time high in viewership.
As many of you know, I am a regular on the show. Notably, I have been one of those commentators who have been questioning the basis for criminal allegations against Trump as well as the calls for impeachment. I further have argued that the law is on Trump’s side on the immigration order. Yet, I have been regularly asked to appear on the show by Joe and Mika. Indeed, Joe has also questioned the basis for the lower court orders against the Trump Administration. It is certainly true that there is much criticism of Trump on the show, but that is hardly a distinguishing characteristic from other shows on other networks. Moreover, I have never met anyone who questioned the intelligence or stability of Mika. Indeed, even to write that line seems perfectly bizarre.
Yet, this is not about refuting allegations that the respected hosts are “crazy” or “psycho.” It is about the standards that are expected of not just a president but an adult in a civil society. This falls considerably short of that standard.
It then (as is often the case) went from bad to worse with the second tweet on the face lift.
Once again, I fail to understand the motivation or even the meaning behind these tweets. While they may thrill the lowest common denominator of our country, most of us recoil from such attacks. I have raised four children that they must remain civil and respectful in their dealings with other people, including those who criticize you. Indeed, I tell them what my father taught me: you have only one unbreakable commitment in this family, you must pass along the family name in as good or better shape than you received it. That means maintaining your dignity and civility in any circumstance, particularly when others might yield to the temptation of personal or petty attacks. That is why I do not find White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders response very compelling: “This is a president who fights fire with fire.” There are no excuses for name calling or petty attacks. That is the test of every adult — to maintain decorum and civility regardless of the circumstance (even when others may call you names or insult you).
Republican leaders to their credit have already denounced the tweets as have Fox anchors and conservative commentators on publications like the National Review. Sen. Lindsey Graham is quoted as saying “Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.” Others including Speaker Paul Ryan have followed suit and said that this is not acceptable for any president:
At a time when the White House needs every Republican vote to achieve meaningful reforms, these shocking tweets are causing considerable damage below the waterline of the Administration. As with the tweets during the litigation, Trump has become the main witness against himself. What is particularly interesting is that this has been a difficult week for CNN after retracting a story and having both a producer and a host taped privately questioning the Russian investigation stories. This will succeed in reducing that pressure as everyone covers the latest personal attack on Twitter. Each of these tweets unnerves Republican allies about the work ahead and trusting the White House to lead them into the mid-term elections. That should not, however, be the criteria. These tweets are deeply troubling and beneath the office of the President of the United States.

I think the POTUS’ tweets were out of line but I also think Joe and Mika’s comments based on personal stuff are out of line, too, so it’s a wash to me. I do like hearing about how personal animus drives these messengers to the people as I always suspected it did. Human nature doesn’t change when you get a big job and wear custom clothes.
Wasn’t it Bill Clinton who said, “we’ll meet every challenge.” Trump’s not good at this banter but he’s amusing. Sometimes you need an Asshat to oppose an Asshat.
mespo, Your closing sentence was a Mariano Rivera closing.
It’s 𝐦𝐲 cutter!
In the next presidential election we need to have a choice and not an echo. We won’t get Hillary again but we need someone good on the Dem side of the aisle. The RepubliCons can put the Donald up again and then we can all choose.
Sorry, Jack. There aren’t any unless Hillary (Clinton Foundation) or Bernie (Burlington College) can run from the hoosegow. Maybe Adlai Stevenson can come back to life.
Finally Americans have a President who will attack the media lap dogs of the ruling class elite.
Draining the swamp is tough business.
President Donald J. Trump, you go, boy!
What right do we have to expect civility from the political class when they have no right to expect it from the people? I would prefer civility but I prefer to not be in debt $20 trillion, in a constant state of undeclared war and have this bloated administrative state that is ABOVE the law.
WTF has civility done for us other than hypnotize the people into believing all is well since no one is punching anyone in the nose.
We may be far better off with Trump behaving this way towards the media for 4 years as it has really exposed the swamp to the people. He’ll get more SCOTUS picks and if that’s all he gets done then so be it. Trump will keep everyone awake long enough to fundamentally transform this country away from where progressives have driven it.
Olly,
Neo-liberals more so than “progressives” please

The tweets are horrible. Does nobody advise him? Do Ivanka and Melania look at the tweets and laugh with him? I can’t imagine it.
As for hit victims, Joe and Mika, they seem to have made a decision to join in the contest to see who could make the vilest comment about Trump in an attempt to draw ratings so that’s a big “who cares?”.
In any case, one would still have to drop below Michelle Obama’s endorsement of Beyonce, a performer whose goal to hit the penultimate bottom resulted in her singing about using scriptures for tampons, as a role model for girls.
And in the performance catagory, one would have to demonstrate an even lower standard of disregard for the office of president, than jetting off to play with JayZ, trash monger and Beyonce while the dust hadn’t settled on the Benghazi murders of officers under his command, to actually hit lower that the bar set by Democrats.
To say nothing of the violence and mental swill that these two performers contribute to the spiritually beleaguered Black community; to have a President genuflect at that altar with zero criticism from his adoring public and media…I’ll suffer through Trump’s personality flaws.
“While they may thrill the lowest common denominator of our country, most of us recoil from such attacks.” Although Indignant America will noisily object and perhaps reinforce your perception, I suspect insult humor is a lot more popular than you realize.

I do expect more from the person who every 4 yrs is elected to be the ostensible leader of the free world. I expect that they not lower themselves to the base levels of those who might bait or verbally joust with, or attack them in their coverage of them.
Neither our government nor our country gains anything from someone who can not act maturely enough tot
If your expectations are serving you well, you should probably cling to them.
One would think after all th times the leftist propaganda machine has been led arouond by their tweets they would learn they are once agagin bein set up. Stupid is as Stupid does.
I just wish Fred Sandford was VP. What a tag team that’d be.
Prof. Turley,
How do you compare Trump’s Tweets with Jesus Obama accepting his Nobel Peace price, then promptly turning Libya into a burning dung hole, responsible for thousands of refugee deaths crossing the Mediterranean, Libya now being controlled by ISIS, and similar military actions in Syria, a nation of absolutely zero national interest to the USA?

Such a model of decorum.
“I moved on her like a bitch.” Stellar decorum.
Trash talk in private is not the same as taking action. Slick Willie took action. You want an example of disgracing the dignity of the office? It’s right there. You want an example of disgraceful, reprehensible action that every feminist should be beyond outraged about, it’s right there. But of course they all keep quiet about it because he’s a Democrat and he’s Hillary’s husband. Imagine that.
Kudos for this piece. Every single day, the person occupying our White House proves his unfitness for office due to his serious emotional problems and lack of qualification to serve. As I have previously said, he only wanted to be President for what he perceived as the glory and power attendant to the office. Yes, people revere and respect Lincoln, Washington, FDR, and so forth, but not just because they were President–because of their qualities as people and their patriotism. They used the power of the Presidency to do wonderful, historic things. Contrast the person occupying our White House–thin-skinned, vindictive, misogynist and petty. as today’s tweet storm proves. He demands loyalty pledges from agency heads and doesn’t even understand what’s wrong with this. Running a private company and running a country are by no means similar, but he doesn’t understand this, nor, most importantly, does he have any desire to learn what he needs to know to succeed in carrying out his agenda. This would constitute an admission, albeit a tacit one, that he doesn’t know it all and is doing a poor job. His ego wouldn’t allow this. He will continue to fail and create problems. He will continue to attack and insult anyone who criticizes him. He is a poor role-model and the US is fast becoming a laughingstock due to him and his arrogance. Again, none of this criticism is about policies or politics–it’s about the person himself.
Then, there’s the lying. The N.Y.Times had an entire page listing his lies, and we’re only 5 months in. How can people teach their children that lying is bad when the President routinely lies and never apologizes or corrects himself? He doesn’t know the difference between an Executive Order and legislation–claiming that he has passed more legislation than any previous President in history. Even high school students know the difference. It’s humorous for those of us who dislike him because of his racism, misogyny, xenophobia and arrogance, but it’s embarrassing and inexcusable. Being President requires patriotism, dedication to the job, being willing to learn what one doesn’t know, discipline and self-control, which this one doesn’t have.
Yeah, if he were fit for office he’d be serious and jet off to a fundraiser while Benghazi was burning.
More dyke-dancing.
Wait. He did that!

Funny how you thought a lying corrupt, inept, incompetent, criminal married to a serial womanizer accused by more than one woman of rape was a better choice for the White House. Funny how you had no problem with Slick Willie moving back into the White House but you have an issue with Trump’s “misogyny.” Funny how you take seriously the lying New York Times putting out a full page of Trump’s “lies.” Funny how the NYT and the rest of the media forgets all the whoppers told by Hillary and Obama and his peeps to the American people over and over again. Funny how you don’t point to the blatant xenophobia attached to the “it’s the Russians!” narrative being pushed by the MSM, the Democrats, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama for the past year. Funny that you take issue with Trump’s ‘arrogance’ but don’t with The Chosen One Obama’s or The Annointed One Hillary’s? Sorry. You are just wrong this time around. Trump is rough around the edges, but he was the better choice in this election and he is a true patriot unlike Obama.
Hillary is and always has been a total mess who should be nowhere near the Oval Office. If the Democrats didn’t want to shoot themselves in the foot, they should have chosen a better candidate themselves. That’s the way the cookie crumbles.
And don’t give me the “Hillary was the most qualified EVER….” that is a complete BS talking point. She is provably incompetent, inept and corrupt. And she keeps tripping, falling, fainting and breaking elbows and getting blood clots on her brain! Yes, let’s put Sick Hillary in the freakin’ Oval Office. NOT. Voters made the right choice. Get over it. Period. End of story.
Apparently Trump has been making some moves. He grossed out that Irish lass.
Natacha – yeah about that NYT op ed listing Trump’s lies (no sources) – they have already make a retraction. Total cowards – they didn’t even allow comments on that hit piece

I especially enjoyed that big whopper the NYT uncovered that Trump said he had 13 appearances on the cover of Time magazine when he really ONLY had 11. Quite an investigative team. I bet Trump jaywalked, too. Oh the horror. We Need To Know!!

LOL …and very much true.
They weren’t vilified for grabbing womens crotches, habitual lying, lacking a basic understanding of the U.S. Government and what is and is not “legislation”, for being thin-skinned or vindictive, but for political reasons. There’s a world of difference here.
Pretty much they were. Lincoln was called an ape or baboon. FDR was called a socialist who hated the country. My favorite political insult was hurled by Field-Marshal Douglas Haid of the BEF in WW1 who said of Secty of State for War, Sir Edward Stanley: ““A very weak-minded fellow, I am afraid, and, like the feather pillow, bears the marks of the last person who has sat on him.”
Of course, the best insult of all was Churchill’s to Lady Astor.
I like the Haid quip! Never heard it before.

It isn’t disturbing at all. People keep confusing an outsider with an insider and reality with poltiicians. if MSNBC, CNN, NYT, WaPo and the rest cannot take the heat get out of the kitchen. Turnabout is fair play.
We didn’t vote for Trump to roll over for the extremist of the left who apparently resigned their US Citizenshipi and their Oath of Office. We hired him in an effort to regain our Representative Constitutional Republic.
My hope is he keeps turning up the heat starting with this new leak discovered in the State Department. You read in this very blog second the first being it’s source.
As for the sensitivities of those who chose allegiance to a foreign ideology. That’s their problem.
Did you even read what Jonathan wrote? His point is that this isn’t a high school bitch-slapping contest, but the Presidency of the United States of America and the dignity and decorum that we citizens have a right to expect. Respect for the role of the Presidency in history and in the word DEMANDS self-control, refraining from pettiness or undignified vindictive comments, but this one’s ego causes him to make a fool of himself almost daily. The problem isn’t the liberal media reporting on his mis-steps, errors, the products of his egotism, his ties with the Russians, his vindictive firing of James Comey, etc.–none of the criticism of this person is unjustified. He is unqualified and unwilling to listen to people who are trying to help him. He’s unwilling to learn how to act Presidential, and it sure doesn’t come naturally to him. He doesn’t understand that the U.S. isn’t his private company of which he is the CEO, and agency heads do not owe him a personal loyalty pledge. He doesn’t understand the issues he created by firing the head of the FBI after Comey declined to give a personal loyalty pledge at the time it was investigating him for potential criminal behavior. He doesn’t understand the basics of how government works. He is an ego-driven realty show host, but the Presidency demands more–things his ego and lack of knowledge of basic civics won’t allow him to deliver.
Natacha – the FBI has been a mess since Comey screwed up the Hillary email server case. It seems to have been made worse by the intervention of Lynch into the case and his bowing to her pressure. After his testimony before Congress, there is no question he should have been fired. Now the question is which criminal charges will be filed against him.
Paul: we all know WHY The Donald fired him. The other stuff is just that–other stuff.
Natacha – nope – not “other stuff” we want Lynch and preferably HRC locked up. It’s disgusting the greasy people associated with the DNC. Also there is a lawsuit where Bernie folks are trying to get back their monies given the primaries were rigged.
Why did he fire him? We don’t all know.
I know why he was fired, but I’m asking why YOU think he was fired.
Never mind Nat. I read your comment elsewhere. You are wrong as to why you think he was fired. Wrong wrong wrong. As usual.
Doubt that……Comey should have been fired the day Trump was inaugurated but Trump waited until he could not get Comey to cooperate.
Yes I read it thoroughly. Now for those of you who can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Turn about may not be fair play but in this case the outsider is still leading the propagandists arouond by their little tweeties. Too stupid to learn.
POTUS Trump is not a politician. He’s NOT Reagan!! Everyone stop expecting the office to change him. 6 months 6 years he’ll be destroying conventional communications by going directly to the people. The Twitter curtain works well for our Wizard of Oz in Chief. As Rush said yesterday.. Keep your eye on the red laser light.
I used to hold Joe Scarborough in high regard. It’s sad to see what he has become.
President Trump has repeatedly hurt himself with his tweets. The notion that it “works well” for the President is a bizarre conclusion. The evidence says otherwise.
Only in the minds of the secular regressives. The minority. The losers, The Mensheviks.
“President Trump has repeatedly hurt himself with his tweets. The notion that it “works well” for the President is a bizarre conclusion. The evidence says otherwise.”
He is President. That is about the best evidence there is.
haha – Thanks for the laugh – had no idea he had tweeted that this morning.
Seriously though, where is it written that targets of media destruction have to sit back and take it?
These people are not at all prepared for their targets firing back.
Among many of Trump’s accomplishments, the brutal full frontal exposure of these propaganda machine news networks tops the list. The country will be better for it.
More significant, in my opinion, is the revelation here that JT would actually join in on the mess at that network.
I can’t verify your story since Trump has blocked me on Twitter (not @POTUS, yet). Nontheless, tweets like these are consistent with others from the Whitehouse and sadly are the new normal of presidential communications. Joe and Mika must have done something right.
Ij doubt they have ever done anything right of Moscow under the Commissars in their lives. What? MSNBC couldn’t find any US Citizens to work for them?
Let me get into the psychology a little bit. When one expects a certain level of “dignity” or “deference” to be shown by another person, that is really nothing but a form of control over that person. It is an attempt to make that person conform to your own personal standards. And, to make that person live in your own personal vision of what the world is, or should be. That is not in and of itself a bad thing, but it isn’t necessarily a good thing either. You might get good behavior, but you might also get stuck in one of those situations where you are the “good wrestler” who obeys the rules and the referee, while the “bad wrestler” is beating the crap out of you with a folding metal chair.
I provided a video below which shows Joe and Mika behaving like idiots towards Trump and personally attacking him, and even people like Kelly Anne Conway. Sooo, that ideal world of “no personal attacks” no longer exists. There is a new reality – – – a reality of constant personal attacks. Sooo, is Trump wrong somehow for living in the Real World??? For realizing that he is getting hit with a folding metal chair, while some are calling for him to continue to follow “rules” that being completely ignored by others?
As for me, I am glad that he picked up the metal folding chair and whomped Joe and Mika right up their heads.

Please provide the exact citation – I must have missed it in watching that riveting video. So, you don’t believe the POTUS should be held to a higher standard than cable news hosts? Ok.
According to testimony from Ivana Trump: The Donald had scalp reduction surgery during their marriage. Apparently, it was more painful that he was led to believe, and the beat her up because he didn’t think she was empathetic enough to the pain he self-induced because he couldn’t accept that he was bald. That absurd pompadour is likely there to cover the scar.
As to the rest of his looks: his skin sags badly, is deeply wrinkled and the surface texture is poor. The color ranges in various shades of orange, with white eyes–no doubt due to self-tanner, but he often looks like an orange raccoon. He’s also gaining weight, something the Pope even joked about. Who cares, really? That’s not the main issue with The Donald.
Natatcha – it appears Trump’s appearance is an issue for you.
It appears Trump’s very existence is an issue for her.
What do you mean higher standard? Many a fledgling early democratic type of government has been overturned because the leadership didn’t have the strength to fight back. Think pre WW2.
So the U.S. is now an “early democratic type of government?” Got it.
“So the U.S. is now an “early democratic type of government?” Got it.”
I don’t think so.
Try reading a little slower. The US is one of the few to survive the process and get it right at least partially. Next time I will use smaller words.
First, try drinking a few cups of coffee, and then re-watch the video, from about 2:35 in. I suggest you French Press some light roast coffee, to get plenty of caffeine. That will clear the cobwebs some.
Secondly, I do not consider Trump calling two pundits “crazy” and “psycho” to be beneath the dignity of a President. However, I am from Texas, sooo I prefer people who don’t beat around the bush, and act with great deference. Heck, if a person has something to say, then spit it out.
And even though I am an upper-middle classy type person, I don’t buy into the notion that we must always act with great deference and dignity. Sometimes, you just gotta hop in the pens with the hogs.

Squeeky – I think Trump bashed their heads into the corner turnbuckle. That does smart.
OK: let’s dig into the psychology a little bit: what do citizens of this country have a right to expect from their President? Someone who brags about grabbing womens’ genitals at the time that his third wife, 24 years younger, foreign, no higher education [although he lies about this], and from a country where women are indoctrinated to be subservient, was either about to or had just given birth? Someone who is ego-driven to the point that he has fake Time Magazine covers printed up with his picture and flattering language, which he frames and hangs in his golf resorts? How about someone who claims he’s passed more “legislation” at this point in his Presidency than any other President–someone who has so little knowledge of high school civics that he doesn’t know that Executive Orders don’t qualify as “legislation”? How about the constant lying? The NY Times dedicated an entire page to the lies he’s told, just 5 months in. How about demanding a personal loyalty pledge from agency heads, as though he were the CEO of a company instead of President? How about firing the Director of the FBI, which was investigating his ties to Russia after the Director refused to give a personal loyalty pledge? How about the pathetic need for personal adulation–holding campaign rallies just for the applause, in the face of historic low approval ratings?
Are you saying the media have no right to report on these and the other outrageous things this person has done? Are you attempting to make the claim that he’s an “outsider”, and therefore, not traditional, so he can do as he pleases just because he’s President? You appear to be arguing that citizens have no right to expect that their President have basic knowledge of civics, that he can refrain from being petty, vindictive, that he exhibit a willingness to learn about what he doesn’t know in order to carry out his agenda, and that is this just a bitch slapping contest with the media, which must be biased because they are criticizing him for being unqualified and un-Presidential. See, neither you nor The Donald gets it: the history, the tradition, the dignity, the decorum, the role-modeling that go along with the Presidency of the United States. Citizens have the absolute right to expect their President to act like a President, which doesn’t include the pettiness and vindictiveness that your President displays. The Donald makes a fool of himself each and every day, and to those of us who dislike him it is both amusing and sad. The problem isn’t the media–its him.
Natacha – Obama set the bar so low, no one expects anything of the President. BTW, have you been to any of these resorts to see the Time magazine covers?
No, I haven’t been to any of his resorts, but I’ve seen examples of the covers. Also, media reports that Time Magazine sent The Donald a letter, demanding that these be removed.
“Obama set the bar so low”? Really? How? I’d like to know in what manner Obama lied repeatedly, got into pissing contests with the media, exhibited a lack of basic knowledge of civics, insulted the leaders of other countries, exhibited misogyny, racism, or bragged about grabbing womens’ crotches. Please cite me examples, because I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Natacha – Time does not have much of a case. They used to sell covers with mirrors in the middle so you could see yourself on the cover. It would be hard to get past that.
You haven’t answered about Obama. Is your issue his race? Come on, admit it.
Natacha – what about Obama’s race, he is bi-racial. Do you have a problem with that?
You have a problem with Obama’s race Natacha? It’s not a problem, it’s an advantage. It’s the ONLY reason he got to where he got in life. He exploited it all the way to the White House. He even chose to marry a black woman because that best served his political ambitions.
You repeatedly assert that Trump tells lies. I can’t think of a single time he has told a lie. Can you name even one? (The New York Times article you keep referencing lists things the wacko Left disagrees with, jokes, and exaggerations that anyone with sense can immediately recognize as normal-people talk, so don’t bother repeating any of that silliness).
Here is an article by Kessler of the WAPO referring to numerous lies told by Trump.
Kessler is not one of my favorites, but he is pretty good at cutting through the BS put out by politicians.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/03/22/all-of-donald-trumps-four-pinocchio-ratings-in-one-place/?utm_term=.0ed1931322de
The lie that I, personally, found most ridiculous was the claim that millions of illegals voted. Republicans control 33 states and thousands of county governments. To believe that millions of illegals voted you have to believe that all those Republican election officials and ADAs are so stupid they could not catch even a few hundred of the millions of illegal voters.
I hate to admit it but even Republicans are not that stupid.
Even Trump’s administration officials have tried to claim that truth does not matter. It is important to note that at key points those officials did not try to defend the truth of Trump’s statements – just that truth does not matter.
To prove that he has lied to his supporters we only have to look at his campaign promises of better, less expensive health care available to every one and what he is supporting now.
For anyone that is interested, here is a link to Kessler fact checking Trump’s claims of wide spread voter fraud and studies of actual voter fraud – primarily studies from Pew Center:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/10/19/fact-checking-two-false-claims-by-trump-alleging-widespread-voter-fraud/?utm_term=.65ce3693e3dd
The difference between what Trump says and what the studies actually say is eye opening.
From the Kessler article:
“More than 1 billion ballots were cast from 2000 through 2014. There were 31 incidents of specific, credible allegations of voter impersonation at the polls, according to research by Loyola Law School professor Justin Levitt, who has been tracking such data for years. So the problem that Trump is warning his voters to watch for at the polls — to make sure things are “on the up and up” — happens at the rate of 31 out of 1 billion ballots cast.”
These conclusions are generally in line with other institutions that study the issue of fair elections. The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU has done numerous studies in which they survey election officials and prosecutors all over the country.
Brennan has been accused of being liberal. But they survey state and local officials regardless of party affiliation. It would seem that if there were wide spread voter fraud then at least the Republican officials would be vigorous in identifying and prosecuting it. I think you have to conclude either those Republican officials too stupid to catch them or the illegal voter just do not exist in large numbers.
It is weird. Trump claims millions of illegal voters. But no body, not even Republican officials right there at the polls can find them.
Here is an article by Kessler of the WAPO referring to numerous lies told by Trump.

“OK: let’s dig into the psychology a little bit: what do citizens of this country have a right to expect from their President? Someone who brags about grabbing womens’ genitals”
Natacha, men go after woman’s genitals all the time and woman go after men’s. Congratulations, you are learning about sex. It’s about time.
The real question becomes do you think Bill Clinton is a suitable President since he raped multiple women while his wife, the loser of the last Presidential election, disparaged those women raped or otherwise manhandled by Bill. I’ve met him so I could feel his charisma, so I never understood why he didn’t limit his sexual escapades only to those that wanted such a relationship.
Bill Clinton: 1. wasn’t proud of what he did; 2. never bragged about it, especially to a nobody like Billy Bush; 3. He behaved with the dignity and decorum expected of a President. What he did secretly is just that. JFK also cheated, but didn’t brag about it, publicly or privately. Right now, Bill has higher approval ratings than The Donald.
No, Allan, men do not go after womens’ genitals “all the time”, nor vice-versa, at least not where civilized people live. This isn’t “learning about sex”. It’s not sexy to violate anyone’s right to personal dignity and autonomy, especially when it comes to violating the sanctity of the most intimate parts of their bodies. No one has the right to grab anyone’s privates. That you think this is normal says a lot about you, and not anything positive. You’re going to end up in jail or beaten to a pulp if you don’t learn that women don’t have to tolerate having their privates grabbed. My Dad would know how to deal with someone like you, and you’d never forget the lesson, either.
Natacha – are you saying you are going to sic your daddy on them? You cannot take care of yourself?
JFK’s remarks and bad habits were kept out of the news by the press. So were a lot of Bill Clintons. The problem I have with your statement is you are quoting locker room talk that is so common in men’s locker rooms. It was quietly taped. On the other hand Bill Clinton actually raped women and Hillary disparaged them. Bill Clinton did it as governor and on through the Presidency.
“No, Allan, men do not go after womens’ genitals “all the time”, nor vice-versa, at least not where civilized people live. ”
No sometimes they stop to eat, or drink, or work or just talk to women and men, but since you are still learning about sex, sex is on the mind quite frequently no matter which gender.
Trump didn’t “grab anyone’s privates.” without permission or perhaps if he stepped too far apologized. Clinton, on the other hand didn’t stop. He kept on going and that is known as rape.
“No one has the right to grab anyone’s privates.” To further your sexual education men and women grab each other’s privates willingly. When it is not willing it is rape or attempted rape or molestation or whatever and that is what Bill Clinton is guilty of. Trump is not guilty of those things. I am totally normal and if you think otherwise then you need additional sex education.
You are bringing your Dad into the conversation. He would be thanking me for educating you and no, I don’t break the law or even high moral standards. I don’t believe in forcing oneself on anyone, but you seem to to dislike the talk more than you dislike the action. You can end up pregnant that way or perhaps you yet don’t know how babies are made.
Allan – do we have an age requirement for this blog?
Apparently not, but there isn’t an IQ requirement either.
“Locker room talk” was Lyin’ Kellyanne’s little catch-phrase. Chump was talking to a reporter–bragging about grabbing women’s privates. Did you see the interview and hear what he said: “you can just grab them by the pussy–they let you do it because you’re famous”. None of his grabbing was done with permission, and he was bragging about it to a reporter. Chump NEVER apologized to anyone for this or anything else. His mental illness won’t allow it–that would be admitting he was wrong. My father died in 1971, BTW, but he could take care of a sexual predator like you and so could I. My point was that decent people don’t do these things. That’s not love-making-it’s sexual assault. No, if you do what your President brags about you aren’t normal, and I hope the next crotch you grab without permission belongs to someone who takes care of you or has a father, brother, husband or son who will teach you to respect the autonomy of a woman’s body. Most predators, like you and Chump, choose someone you think can’t or won’t fight back. Chump bragged that he could get away with it because “he was famous”. I have a refrigerator magnet that shows Chump groping the Statute of Liberty. It’s my favorite, and it says a lot. It’s funny in one sense, but not another.
BTW: Did Bill Clinton admit raping women? I missed that.
Natacha – there are a string of grapes by Bill Clinton and Hillary covered them up. She also covered up his affairs.
“you can just grab them by the pussy–they let you do it because you’re famous”
Natacha, have daddy give you a dictionary and show you how to use it. The word “can” means able to. You can or are able to do a lot of things, but that doesn’t mean you did them or will do them. Bill Clinton could (was able to ) rape a woman and he did. Hillary Clinton could (was able to) disparage the woman her husband raped and she did. You apparently can think, but that doesn’t mean you wil and apparently much of the time you don’tl.
“he could take care of a sexual predator like you ”
That is known as libel. Look that up in the dictionary. Sorry your dad is dead or I would ask if he could wash your mouth with soap.
I guess this is the way you argue. Libel or slander. It’s quite clear facts don’t matter, you can diagnose psychiatric impairment based upon op-eds, and you can change the word can into did. You don’t care because libel and slander are your main tools in argument.
OMG Natacha, the fact that you don’t see that Bill Clinton is a proven serial womanizer and sexual predator who has destroyed women’s lives is just mind boggling. We have no such evidence of this with Trump beyond words and bragging. None. And why on earth would Bill Clinton admit to raping any of the women who have accused him of rape? He would not. But he has settled a sexual assault case with Paula Jones.
Wasn’t it his wife Hillary who said we must always believe sexual assault accusers even when the men deny it? What’s wrong with you?
Maybe she is a jealous wannabe.
She’s a feminist who shows up for Resistance protest marches wearing pink pussy hats. What colossally ignorant hypocritical mindless women utterly blinded by politics. They do not see themselves. Talk about needing to be woke the hell up.
Does she also threaten to bomb the White House?
You keep harping on something Trump said in a private conversation. If only you could hear what other presidents have said in private. My god, let it go. What are your thoughts on if Bill Clinton had been back in the White House? What are your thoughts on how he denigrated the dignity of the office and grossly abused the power of his position over a young intern for oral sex in the Oval Office? Does that piss you off as much as Trump’s comments made in a private conversation? It sure as hell should. And that reason alone should have you want to keep both Hillary and Bill out of the White House. They are both lowlife trash. Remember when a Clintonite said you never know what you’ll find when you drag a dollar bill through a trailer park? That perfectly describes Bill and Hillary and their Clinton Foundation only on a bigger scale.
Reply was to Natacha
And btw, if you are one of the women who go around wearing one of those knitted pink pointy pussy hats in protest I will tell you this: you do not know how stupid you all look. Lose the hats and it will help your cause.
Uh, T Bob: he was talking to a journalist–bragging about what he believed he could get away with because he was famous. I’ve never heard of any one claiming Bill Clinton bragged about any sexual escapades. In fact, he lied about it because he, at least, respected his wife and child, which is more than Dumpster can claim. Billy Bush wasn’t any friend–he was a journalist, doing an interview.
Trump’s an arrogant braggart. The conversation was ‘off the record.’
Bill Clinton grossly abused his power over a young intern in the biggest power differential there can be to use her for oral sex and subsequently ruined her life. Bill Clinton has been accused by more than one woman of rape and more than one woman of sexual harrassment. Bill Clinton is a known serial womanizer who ditches his secret service to fly around on convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s jet the Lolita Express. Yet with all of this, you still have more of an issue with Donald Trump being in the White House than with Bill Clinton being back in the White House with his incompetent corrupt wife. Interesting.
Bill Clinton neither admitted he raped anyone nor bragged about it. You are believing an accuser who is politically motivated. Chump, without prompting, admitted he sexually assaults women. There’s a world of difference.
Are you a fool as well? Do you think Bill Clinton is dumb enough to admit he raped anyone? You would make a great juror. Justice would be blind only not in the way intended.
Posting this here as well…
Wasn’t it his wife Hillary who said we must always believe sexual assault accusers even when the men deny it? What’s wrong with you?
There are also allegations about Trump and that Lolita outfit. When it comes to sexcapades Trump’s name always comes up.
frankly – Clinton has spent more time on Lolita island than Trump.
Were you thing observing? 🙂
frankly – that sentence does not make sense.
Thing observing. You know. It’s the new thing.
TBob – it is clear I have not been keeping up.
‘Thing observing.’ It’s the new secret code word for ‘porn.’
President Trump was not groomed for his position, as were Kennedy, Nixon, Clinton. He’s a successful businessman. I’m sure running for office was unexpected. He saw a need and he gets things done. He isn’t spending his time raising money for a library or another election. He has put excellent people in high-level positions. He has worked with them in mapping his goals and then gotten out of their way. He’s doing his job the way he told voters he would. He has gotten things done — Justice Gorsuch, never gave up on implementing a ban on potential terrorists, he has hosted visiting top leaders of countries around the world. He isn’t giving up on Tax Reform, in spite of what leaders in Congress tell him. Congress gets bogged down with their rules and procedures. Trump sees the need and plans how to get there. That’s how successful companies do it — identify the issue/problem, study every avenue to solve it, and implements.
Some prefer a President like Obama who bows deeply and respectfully to those that hate us. I agree with you that the atmosphere has changed and sometimes one has to accept a bit of uncivility to fight the uncivil.
I see you like James O’Keefe (earlier thread) who I like and met early on. Have you taken a look at Charles Kirk? Both of them are young, vibrant and have taken new directions in attacking the statist enemy that loves our enemies.
And some like to rub the orbs.
If you like to rub the orbs, that is OK. We won’t judge you.
Civility as bludgeon. I see it every day.
Maybe the Electoral College members should be required to vet who they vote for. After all, it’s their fault that we have the current, whatever it is, as our President.
Translation. Maybe the people who voted in the correct election and not in a meaningless popularity poll should be applauded for their knowledge of basic civics. While those who didn’t should be treated as wha tthey are The losing minority. Haven’t seen anything offered by the left to amend the Constitution but then it’s a sympton of thinking saying is the same as doing. Short version stupid is as stupid does. or in this case does not.
They are not journalists who deserve some kind of high and mighty respect. They are entertainers on cable TV in the business of ‘info-tainment’ to make money and get ratings while trashing Trump day after day for the handful of viewers who actually still watch. They dish it out, let them take it. The MSM is a special interest group with its own agenda no different than all the other special interests and Trump is taking them head on. How refreshingly authentic and bold. Good for Trump.
