Below is my column in The Hill on a growing tendency to label opposing views as terrorism in our age of rage. Democratic activists have labeled ICE as a “terrorist organization” while Republicans use that term for Antifa. It is also a way to dismiss opposing views as extremism with no need to listen, let alone respond. With the escalation of such rhetoric, millions of Americans are being portrayed as terrorists – a trend that robs the term of any real meaning. Yet, numerous officials, including the Board of Supervisors, in San Francisco supported the ridiculous resolution declaring the NRA to be a “domestic terrorist organization” and, by extension, its five million members domestic terrorists. It is not enough to disagree over the meaning of an individual right, the other side must now be little better than ISIS for disagreeing with you.
Here is the column:
It is not everyday that a public official uncovers more than five million terrorists living in the United States, including many working in some of the highest offices of the land. Yet, San Francisco District Two Supervisor Catherine Stefani managed to achieve precisely that this week, when the city board of supervisors passed her resolution declaring the National Rifle Association to be a domestic terrorist organization.
For Stefani and other board members, it is not enough to disagree with gun rights advocates. They must be declared terrorists. Otherwise, this would be a mere political disagreement. The San Francisco resolution encourages cities, states, and the federal government to follow suit. It states that NRA terrorism includes spreading “propaganda” and arming “those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism.”
The resolution follows a declaration from New York Attorney General Letitia James in launching an investigation of the NRA which she previously declared to be not a “charitable organization” but a “terrorist organization.” Of course, the NRA promotes the Second Amendment, which the Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed as the basis of an individual constitutional right to bear arms. Thus, San Francisco is declaring that advocacy of a constitutional right is akin to being an arm of the Islamic State.
For her part, Stefani expressed nothing but glee in declaring those on the other side of the gun debate to be terrorists. “The NRA has it coming to them. I will do everything I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization,” she said. For the other supervisors, voting against the declaration might have risked being accused of giving material support to a terrorist organization.
The resolution is the very definition of demagoguery. It also is a sign of our time as the perfect resolution for the age of rage. Many people of good faith have criticized the NRA for years, while the organization has opposed many reasonable limits on gun ownership and has painted anyone on the other side as enemies of freedom and liberty.
Yet, it is not uncommon for organizations advocating for individual rights to be “extreme” in their support for that right. NARAL is a pro-choice organization opposing virtually any limit on the right of women to secure abortions, including supporting “partial birth abortion” which most Americans oppose. Environmental groups like Greenpeace oppose most measures that undermine the environment. PETA opposes almost any use of animals, even calling for a robotic “Punxsutawney Phil” groundhog.
Most advocacy groups follow the view of Barry Goldwater that “extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice.” Such advocacy is no act of terrorism. In politics these days, however, it is not enough to disagree. You must condemn the very act of speaking or advocating as a virtual crime. That way, you relieve yourself of any responsibility to listen or respond to an opposing view. Many academics and advocates now believe they can stop people from speaking by declaring them to be racists or terrorists.
At the University of California at Santa Barbara, feminist studies associate professor Mireille Miller Young criminally assaulted pro-life advocates on campus, and later pleaded guilty to the crime. She was defended by faculty and students, including many who said she was “triggered” by a pro-life display and that pro-life advocates were “terrorists” who did not deserve free speech. The university refused to suspend or fire her, who has since been celebrated as a leader in feminist activism.
It is now routine for many faculty and students on college campuses across the country to prevent others from speaking by claiming they are acting to stop violent or racist speech. Such declarations are incredibly liberating in that you are no longer confined by notions of free speech.
Indeed, Antifa is dedicated to defeating free speech. Dartmouth University professor Mark Bray, author of a handbook on Antifa, explained, “At the heart of the anti-fascist outlook is a rejection of the classical liberal phrase” that “says I disapprove of what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” He defined anti-fascists as “illiberals” who reject the notion that far right views deserve to “coexist” with opposing views. The goal of Antifa is not to coexist but “to end their politics.”
As someone who has spent a lifetime advocating for free speech, I have long denounced Antifa as a despicable organization. But I was also one of the first to object to President Trump supporting the declaration of Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. That is the problem with free speech. You often have to fight for those who least deserve it, like an organization dedicated to denying it to others. There is no question here that Antifa supporters regularly engage in violent acts, but that does not mean it is a terrorist organization, any more than environmental groups are terrorist organizations when their members engage in such raging acts.
Likewise, many people applauded Democratic candidate and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg after he called for all groups deemed “white nationalist” to be declared domestic terrorists. Columnist Derek Beres explained that “such a label also denies another related idea, manifest destiny, which, like American exceptionalism, states that America has a mandate to change the world. By calling Americans terrorists, we can identify the actual root of racial and nationalist tension on our soil.”
So it is that easy. You simply declare whole groups to be terrorists, and you effectively criminalize their “related ideas.” The counterparts to Stefani in the pro-life community could declare pro-choice organizations to be terrorist organizations that kill the unborn, while Texas could declare vegan advocates to be terrorists for spreading “propaganda” against meat. After all, San Francisco declared five million Americans to be terrorists, so what about the other 322 million citizens in this nation?
The question is what terrorism ultimately means if everyone is declared a terrorist. That answer can be found in a scene from the George Orwell novel “1984,” when O’Brien is torturing the hero Winston in the Ministry of Love. O’Brien explains to Winston, “The object of terrorism is terrorism. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?”
Yes, I am beginning to understand. This is all about the object of power.
Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University. You can follow him on Twitter @JonathanTurley.
This is why it is happening: “… the public learned that an FBI intelligence bulletin published by the bureau’s Phoenix field office mentioned for the first time that conspiracy theories pose a domestic terrorism threat. This was followed up last week by a Bloomberg article discussing a new project by the U.S. military (DARPA) to identify fake news and disinformation.
We learned:
Fake news and social media posts are such a threat to U.S. security that the Defense Department is launching a project to repel “large-scale, automated disinformation attacks,” as the top Republican in Congress blocks efforts to protect the integrity of elections.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency wants custom software that can unearth fakes hidden among more than 500,000 stories, photos, videos and audio clips. If successful, the system after four years of trials may expand to detect malicious intent and prevent viral fake news from polarizing society.
Recall that after the 2016 election, focus was on social media companies and we saw tremendous pressure placed on these platforms by national security state politicians and distressed Democrats to “do something” about the supposed fake news epidemic. Fast forward three years and it’s now apparently the U.S. military’s job to police human content on the internet. This is the sort of natural regression a society will witness so long as it puts up with incremental censorship and the demonization of any thought which goes against the official narrative.
Before we dissect what’s really going on, allow me to point out the glaringly obvious, which is that politicians, pundits, mass media and the U.S. military don’t actually care about the societal harm of fake news or conspiracy theories. We know this based on how the media sold government lies in order to advocate for the Iraq war, and how many of the biggest proponents of that blatant war crime have gone on to spectacularly lucrative careers in subsequent years. There were zero consequences, proving the point that this has nothing to do with the dangers of fake news or conspiracy theories, and everything to do with protecting the establishment grip on narrative creation and propagation.”

What the professor won’t acknowledge is that the culture of the Democratic Party is so gross it has rendered lawful, deliberative, and elective government something unsustainable. We’re living in Spain, ca. 1933. This will not end well.
Democratic activists have labeled ICE as a “terrorist organization” while Republicans use that term for Antifa.
One of these is not like the other. One is a component of the federal police with a serious and necessary task to perform. The other is an obnoxious collection of LARPers whose game is preventing people from exercising their civil rights; it hardly existed 10 years ago and our common life would be better if it simply disappeared.
As for Letitia James, she’s a horror and unfit to hold any position of trust. However, she did not hide who she was and what she was before her election. This is another instance of vandalism by a feckless blue state electorate. The problem is that the cud-chewing fools who put her in office likely won’t suffer from her systematized abuse of power. (And the people who do suffer from this sort of thing don’t appear to be motivated to vote any differently).
I’d like JT to distinguish between Antifa and what he might regard as a real terrorist group.
Definition of Domestic Terrorism: “(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; ” https://definitions.uslegal.com/d/domestic-terrorism/
Which one fits the description?
ICE: government institution protecting our borders
Antifa: The name carried by groups of people carrying weapons, committing violence in an attempt to coerce a civilian population.
NRA: A gun club that promotes gun safety and has nothing to do with illegal violent actions
Both meet that definition right now, however ICE does not set their own policy but are directed by Administration policy. They have a legitimate function, but pointless terrorizing of the children – some of whom are US citizens – of illegal immigrants who are otherwise law abiding, is not one of them.
How does ICE meet that definition?
Anon1 – whether those children are US citizen is up for grabs right now. And if the parents did not want them terrorized, they should not have come to the country illegally.
Paul C. Exactly! Thank you.
I tell people all the time that I do not think I am intellectually or socially superior to illegal immigrants
I know it’s not right to sneak into a country and they do too. And I know if I did that, my children could be put in serious
jeopardy and they do too. They make that choice.
A “gun club that promotes gun safety”, the NRA is not! While a substantial number of its members perhaps even a majority support responsible and reasonable gun regulation, the leadership does not. It threatens and one might say “brides” and coerces members of Congress to oppose gun regulations and when it’s leader! Wayne LaPierre speaks he speaks in the language of threats and when anyone opposes him in the NRA he purges them. Is the NRA a domestic terrorist organization? I’d say, sadly, the results of its actions have borne tragic fruit and those results speak for themselves.
As to ICE, it is a well armed organization that appears to have unlimited powers to do whatever it likes to anyone. It acts with impunity. Is it a domestic terrorist organization? I don’t know. Was the SS?
Intimidation and coercion are stock in trade of both organizations.
Holmes, The NRA stands for good regulation not bad. Example: the bump stock ban.
You disagree as to what constitutes a good regulation or bad regulation which is fine. How many of the killers in Chicago’s inner city were NRA members?
I won’t bother with your second comment on ICE because you don’t seem to understand that the US has a duty to protect its borders.
“The Union as a Safeguard Against Domestic Faction and Insurrection”, Federalist Papers #’s 9 & 10 by Hamilton and Madison Respectively.
First, does anyone know what the Union is, what a Faction is, or what Insurrection is?
The Union is the States assembled in Congress to Govern Together as Equals! The United States, in Congress assembled, the Union which makes our Country the United States of America.
All political parties, and political interests groups, are factions!
* By a faction, I understand a number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or a minority of the whole, who are united and actuated by some common impulse of passion, or of interest, adverse to the rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community. Federalist #10, Madison.
insurrection noun
in·sur·rec·tion | \ ˌin(t)-sə-ˈrek-shən \
Definition of insurrection
: an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government
So now that we have the definitions out of the way, where is the Union today that should be Safeguarding us from the Insurrection that the Parties have reduced our Government to and relegated us to the chaos of anarchy!
Oops I’ve added a new word, “anarchy”, I better define it:
anarchy noun
an·ar·chy | \ ˈa-nər-kē , -ˌnär- \
Definition of anarchy
1a : absence of government
b : a state of lawlessness or political disorder due to the absence of governmental authority
the city’s descent into anarchy
c : a utopian society of individuals who enjoy complete freedom without government
2a : absence or denial of any authority or established order
anarchy prevailed in the ghetto
b : absence of order : DISORDER
not manicured plots but a wild anarchy of nature
— Israel Shenker
There’s only one solution to our problem, we must Reestablish the Supreme Authority of the Union, by the States must reacquiring their power and authority as the Union! And guess what, it doesn’t require an election cycle, voting, Party Leadership, or leaders of any kind, it only takes a State(s) to stand up and say enough is enough and demand their Representation and Suffrage each State is Entitled as a Member State in the Union!
Oops, I’d better define a State! A State is the People in their Collective Capacity, and all the natural and Economic resources, which are on, or within, that dirt with a line around it!
The Parties are the Problem, not the Solution!
The Union was subverted by the passage of the 17th Amendment, which created two ‘peoples’ houses, and eliminated the ‘states’ house. And as a result, has created the Oligarchy beholding to private interest that the Senate has become. Repeal the 17th. Think it through. It’s not crazy talk.

There is no ‘the KKK’ and there hasn’t been since 1949. What there is is a set of competing federations of klaverns with varying geographic scope. The anti-Defamation League, ca. 1983 thought Bill Wilkinson’s outfit and David Duke’s outfit each had about 3,000 members. Then Wilkinson’s outfit went into bankruptcy court and he admitted that his group had only 1,800 members. Klavern members qua klavern members were responsible for fewer than 20 homicides between 1953 and 1982, and none since. The FBI publishes estimates of the number of klavern members now and again. The figure given is usually around 2-3,000. A generation ago, our hyping media commonly cited a figure of 3-5,000 skinheads in the US, so you know there were fewer. There was actually ca. 1990 a formal association of skinheads in my home town. They didn’t have 20 members.
Perhaps, but I have a secret source who says the KKK is about to rebrand themselves. They have a sure-fire strategy to become a “thing” again. I will be exposing this in an upcoming article.

Oh, John. If you can’t differentiate between ICE and Antifa, I don’t know what to tell you. Random violence is not a protected form of any kind of expression. I agree with the spirit of your piece, but you picked some very poor examples as illustration.
This says it all! San Francisco is anti-women!

So it is that easy. You simply declare whole groups to be terrorists, and you effectively criminalize their “related ideas.”
.
You know what else is “that easy?”
Red Flagging Constitutionalists, gun advocates, gun owners, Whites, Jews, Conservatives of all races, supporters of Constitutional Rights, Civil Rights, Law and Order, The Rule of Law and People who love this country, who present their opinion in public and trendy fashionistas who just like to wear red hats or red shirts “terrorists,” which automatically mandates their guns be seized.
As a terrorist member of the NRA, I declare my god-given right to wear dish rags on my head, shout nonsense about religion and decapitate journalists! AR15 Akbar!
Call the ACLU. I’m feeling oppressed.
jt, whole groups of people have been already labelled as “terrorists” by this govt. and various entities connected to it. This private/govt. amalgam is able to imprison people w/o trial, disappear people (at least 4 known to date) and access everything about them (along w/everyone else). I will link to an article which shows this is exactly what is happening.
So I agree with you that citizens must quit labeling every group they personally dislike as “terrorist”. There is a court system in place for dealing w/violence. We can and should use that as necessary. As we see from comments, in this case, right wing people, are willing to name their hated groups as “terrorist’. In this way, the govt. can easily rid itself of dissidents and those who use “wrong speech” by telling the truth about the government/corporate nexus.
Interestingly, right wing people fail to understand that they are often considered “terrorists” themselves by this same corporate/government nexus. Often, on the other hand, left wing people are just as stupid and fail to stand up for free speech of right wing people. So we, as citizens, fall right into place with the government/corporate nexus to suppress dissent. I am really hoping people will stop being this stupid, pull together and defend dissent, even if we may not approve of the dissenter(s). Here is a link to the article and an excerpt:
Beginning in 1982, as part of the highly classified Continuity of Government (COG) program, North used the PROMIS software at a 6,100-square-foot “command center” in the Department of Justice, as well as at a smaller operations room at the White House, to compile a list of American dissidents and “potential troublemakers” if the COG protocol was ever invoked.
According to a senior government official with a high-ranking security clearance and service in five presidential administrations who spoke to Radar in 2008, this was:
A database of Americans, who, often for the slightest and most trivial reason, are considered unfriendly, and who, in a time of panic might be incarcerated. The database can identify and locate perceived ‘enemies of the state’ almost instantaneously.”
In 1993, Wired described North’s use of PROMIS in compiling this database as follows:
Using PROMIS, sources point out, North could have drawn up lists of anyone ever arrested for a political protest, for example, or anyone who had ever refused to pay their taxes. Compared to PROMIS, Richard Nixon’s enemies list or Sen. Joe McCarthy’s blacklist look downright crude.”
The COG program defined this “time of panic” as “a national crisis, such as nuclear war, violent and widespread internal dissent, or national opposition to a US military invasion abroad,” whereby the government would suspend the Constitution, declare martial law, and incarcerate perceived dissidents and other “unfriendlies” in order to prevent the government’s (or then-serving administration’s) overthrow.
This secretive database has often been referred to as “Main Core” by government insiders and, most troubling of all, it still exists today. Journalist Christ Ketcham, citing senior government officials, reported in 2008 that, at that time, Main Core was believed to contain the names of as many as 8 million Americans. Eleven years later, it is highly likely that the number of Americans included in the Main Core database has grown considerably.
Author and investigative journalist Tim Shorrock also covered other disturbing aspects of the evolution of Main Core back in 2008 for Salon. At the time, Shorrock reported that the George W. Bush administration was believed to have used Main Core to guide its domestic surveillance activities following the September 11 attacks.
Citing “several former U.S. government officials with extensive knowledge of intelligence operations,” Shorrock further noted that Main Core — as it was 11 years ago at the time his report was published — was said to contain “a vast amount of personal data on Americans, including NSA intercepts of bank and credit card transactions and the results of surveillance efforts by the FBI, the CIA and other agencies.”

Figure it out now people, NOW!
I have a solution. Perhaps JT and the posters here should not move to SF, or if they do, immediately run for office. If the former I’m sure they won’t be missed.
WGAF?
It is false equivalence to compare labeling ICE and Antifa terrorists. ICE is law enforcement. Antifa is an organization devoted to violence against people they disagree with. They chased an elderly man down the street and dragged him out of his car because he had Southern plates. Whenever there is a permitted protest by a group they disagree with, they show up with bats and other weapons and deliberately clash with them.
Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization.
The NRA is just a gun club that uses far less money to lobby than any Democrat organization such as Big Union. It’s not violent. It does not endorse violence or mass shootings.
We need to make America Great Again. There is only one way to do so: completely outlaw the production and sale and possession and use of: opioides, tobacco, pot, and friggin vaping. These things are making millions for a few and killing millions of chumps.
If you are a smoker and read this comment and hate my comment then think twice about sharing your smoke in a room with others and write your Will and Testament and get ready to croak.
I think if you are on the receiving end of the ICE thugs, you would well agree that it is a terrorist organization. There is no other relevant term for people who abuse children. And they clearly do. So, Prof T, you are absolutely suffering from cranial-rectalitis if you don’t rail against ICE and it’s deadly abuse of children and discern it’s terrorist activities. You can bet your white-privileged ass that a child on the receiving end of ICE actions are terrorized. For shame upon you irrelevant ivory-tower cretins.
Chuck:
Whenever an adult breaks the law in America and is arrested, they are separated from their children. Sometimes they end up in foster care. You bet that is terrifying to the children. The fault lies squarely in the lap of their parents. In the case of illegal immigrants, they pay organized crime on average $15,000 so they can line jump. It costs only $220 for a green card and $725 to become a naturalized citizen. They pay cartels $15,000 so they can skip that entire, lengthy process. They bring their children because the United States will let illegal immigrant families stay in the country. The younger the children, the better. They drag their children across inhospitable deserts, led by violent criminals, and there is an 85% chance, according to HuffPo, that the women and girls will be raped along the way. Rape is so common that mothers send their daughters with Plan B One Step. Those children sometimes die, or they get raped, or sold to pedophiles or otherwise into sex slavery. Or they may arrive so sick or dehydrated that nothing BP can do can save them. One guy’s group stopped on one side of the Rio Grande. He could see the border, but the group stopped. He felt entitled to get there immediately. He had brought a toddler along, as she was his ticket across. So he swam the Rio Grande with her, and left his toddler on the banks of the rushing river so that he could swim back for his wife, whom I presume couldn’t swim either. Obviously, the toddler tried to follow him, and they both drowned. If he had done this in the United States, he would have been arrested. His own mother said that the reason why he illegally immigrated is because he wanted to earn money to build a house back home. She said she’d begged him not to go.
So, yes, there is abuse of children going on. But it’s not Border Patrol or ICE responsible.
ICE is not responsible as they don;t make the call. The Trump administration does that and is fully responsible when ICE selectively targets otherwise law abiding illegal immigrants out of a group numbering over 11 million who will never be controlled or accounted for in this manner. The effect strikes terror among children, many of whom are US citizens, glee among ignorant and soulless Trump fans like Cindy and Karen, and nothing about the problem.
“law abiding illegal immigrants” Law abiding and illegal are conflicting terms. Not only are many illegal but many are not law abiding breaking many laws American citizens would be put in jail for.
The Trump administration does that and is fully responsible when ICE selectively targets otherwise law abiding illegal immigrants…
LOL! Brilliant. Someone breaks into your home and otherwise behaves like one of the family. Of course you’re going to allow them to stay because… Someone steals your identity and otherwise uses it to get loans etc. to live their life like every other citizen. Of course you won’t want them terrorized by law enforcement because…
Olly, illegal immigrants pay more taxes then the value of services some may receive and increase our GDP. It is a problem that they are illgegal, but deporting them all IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Get used to it and let’s work on constructive solutions, not stunts that only serve to traumatize children, some of whom are US citizens.
Anon1 – this cannot possibly true, California has more illegal aliens than anyone and if they are paying all those taxes, California should be flush. However, California is going broke.
In other words Anon, what you are saying is that if Jeffrey Epstein paid more taxes it would be fair for him to rape more young girls and still stay out of jail.
You are also saying that all criminals have to do is hold the American people hostage and in that way they suddenly become legal.
It is a problem that they are illgegal, but deporting them all IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
I mistakenly thought my two examples would have triggered you to expand your reasoning. That person that broke into your home; are you going to allow them to stay because some idiot tells you that you’re not being fair, they help pay for groceries and clean up after themselves? Are you not going to prosecute identity thieves if they use their ill-gotten gains to live “lawfully”?
You cannot have a functioning nation of laws if you have a dysfunctional border security policy and a justice system capriciously interested prosecuting unlawful activity.
Anon1 – THEY ARE IN THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY. FULL STOP.
Paul, illegal immigrants pay more taxes then the value of services some may receive and increase our GDP. It is a problem that they are illegal, but deporting them all IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Get used to it and let’s work on constructive solutions, not stunts that only serve to traumatize children, some of whom are US citizens.
The ultimate laws are determined by the politicians elected by the people. Right now we have leftists in government that do not abide by the rule of law.

Montgomery County’s disgrace
Posted: 07 Sep 2019 01:36 PM PDT
(Paul Mirengoff)
Montgomery County, Maryland is taking criticism for enabling rapists. As I discussed here, at least seven illegal immigrants were arrested and charged with sexual crimes during a six week period this summer.
Montgomery County enables rape and other crimes by illegal immigrants by refusing to cooperate with the federal government in removing criminal illegals. For example, Rodrigo Castro-Montejo, a Salvadoran national living in the U.S. illegally, was arrested in Montgomery County and charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault. ICE placed a detainer request on Castro-Montejo, but the request was ignored and he was released from custody the following day.

Actually Karen, ICE and CBP have engaged in child rape and child sex trafficking. These behaviors go to the top of both the official govt. and the deep state. American citizens need to come to terms with the level of pedophilia used to black mail people in the govt. and corporations. We also need to understand the level of sadism in our “leadership”. The pentagon was found to have the largest numbers of porn users (so far) of any govt. agency. This is a very difficult thing for Americans to take in because we are taught to revere our “leaders”. Until we are able to see the truth, that there is a massive drug, weapons and child rape/slavery ring moving at the highest levels of this govt. we aren’t going to bring justice to our nation.
I refer you to Whitney Webb at Mint Press News. You can go to her twitter feed for interviews, especially at Consortium News. Even though she is a liberal, she documents what she is saying with links which you can read for yourself. Conservatives need to read liberals who document their work, just as liberals should never be afraid to read conservatives who document their work. I’m not saying this work will make you feel good about your government, but as you are a Bible believer I will quote from it: The Truth will set you free. Therefore, do not flinch from the truth, even though it is horrific.
Jill – the cartels and coyotes have participated in child rape, adult rape, murder, drug trafficking. They do it on an industrial scale. You need to realize that 30% of the children coming in are not related to the people they are supposedly related to. Many of they unaccompanied minors coming into the country are MS-13, a gang of vicious thugs.
I think ICE and CBP has tried to clean up those who violate the law. Can you say the same for the Mexican police or border patrol.
Actually Karen, ICE and CBP have engaged in child rape and child sex trafficking.
More fantasies from Jill, who is a fundamentally malicious person who fancies herself a paladin of virtue.

Why?
DSS – I checked out their page, they are to the left of Bernie.
I was going to ask you if doobie was legal in your state but I think I’ll ask about LSD.
Oh grow up, Chuck. The persons solely responsible for children being housed in ICE facilities are the parents who forced them through extremely dangerous conditions, or rented them out to others who did so, in a cynical attempt to skirt U.S. immigration laws. And while an ICE facility is not the Ritz Carlton, the children are fed, bathed, have toys and medical care. At least they’re safe from the predators and deadly conditions that their parents exposed them to in the dessert.
Chuck, please present your documented proof of ICE Agents “abusing” children and I don’t mean Polaroids of Epstein and Clinton dressed up as ICE Agents in leather masks beating naked 12 year old girls chained to dog crates with spiked tipped leather whips.
Antifa really are domestic terrorists. And I would posit there are NO reasonable controls on gun ownership. However, I am not sure we should take the word of a city that has a “poop patrol” and a “sh*t map” as to what makes up a terrorist organization.

Let’s see, Antifa puts on black masks, takes up baseball bats, and attacks people who disagree with them. and they are NOT terrorists??? OK, So maybe the Brown Shirts were not terrorists either.
Now, since the NRA has been declared to be a terrorist organization, how about that savage black gangs that are armed and dangerous in Chicago – are they terrorists too, or do they have to actually join the NRA first???
Confusing.

Well said.

The corollary is that oppressors must be defeated.

It’s clear that the coup elves have been very busy while we were asleep and quite successful at fomenting hatred, deception and seizing power within the government to the point that The United States is on the verge of Civil War. Yes, thinking people do not want to go through that door, but at this point that decision is probably out of their hands. At this point it looks like the country is being pushed through the Civil War door so the coup can get on to the next phase.
Right now people probably need to think about choosing why they want to be on the other side of the door, who they want to be on the other side of the door and which path they want to take next. The goebbelist have done an excellent job of ginning up chaos. It’s a well crafted chaos making good into bad and bad into good and justifying any means necessary resulting in a socially engineered moral code based on a single minded hatred. Hatred that values absolute power and absolute submission to that power and mandates the extermination of freedom, individuality, a moral code that respects others and their Rights and everything else the Constitution was created to bring forth in this country and It’s People.
Everyday a new narrative is tossed into the mix, and a new card played. Racism, religious bigotry, inequality, poverty, greed, global warming, population control, environmental damage and of course “the children” that blames the precepts set forth in the Constitution and The Rule of Law for all ills of the human condition and justifies reasons the Constitution should be “dismantled and abolished.” Everywhere revisionist accounts are being proselytized with ever growing urgency and sinister, terrifying scenarios and predictions of catastrophic consequences if The Constitution is left to stand as The Governing Document of The United States and not replaced by a single totalitarian government that rules with absolute single minded power to decide the destiny of its citizens. For the ones who embrace the absolute power doctrine, the sorting process has begun and the armbands are being handed out. The only thing left for most people who are used to living in freedom and are suddenly begining to realize they are being fundamentally transformed from a consenting People served by the state to silent property of the state, is to decide if they will take action to keep their Constitutional Rights and Constitutional Republic intact or sew on their new armband sit around and await their new, unknown fate
